Human Hair Topper Review: Lilyhair Bionic Topper

Hi everyone it's georgie here from her hair, my head and i've just come on today to talk to you about this new topper. I apologize if it looks like i'm not looking at the camera, but i've been asked to film this video horizontally and because i'm recording on my phone. I if i look at the camera, i can't see myself and then i get really confused and i like to be able to see myself when i'm filming, so i'm gon na look over here um. So i have come on today to talk to you about um. This human hair topper, it's a new brand that i haven't tried before called lily hair and they contacted me and said. Would i like to try a bionic, scalp, topper and i've never heard of that term before so? I was quite intrigued and i still don't fully understand exactly what bionic means, but it's very similar to a silk top, it's sort of somewhere between a silk top and a mono top. So i'll show you it's quite a realistic, looking parting um, but i would say it's much lighter um on your head than a silk top, which i like, because i don't like things that are heavy on your head. It'S human hair, although it doesn't actually say on their website whether or not it's remy human hair. So i will double check that with them. This length is 14 inches and the color is number four and when the piece came it didn't have it wasn't dried or styled into any kind of parting, and all the hair was just falling forward. So i have um put it into a bit of a side. Parting but as you can see, there's no um layers, it's all one length, so i would probably get some layers cut into this. I'M just gon na do a slow turn, so you can see the back. So i would say number four. It'S a quite a warm sort of mid to light brown um. It'S actually quite a good length for me um, and this topper is a nine by nine base. So it's a really big base, which i will take off and show you in a minute, but i feel like it's giving my head a hug because it's it's coming all the way down and my um bio hair. The bottom of my bio hair is quite a bit darker, but because it's such a big base, i think it's actually a really good blend um. So so far my impressions are good and i just want to show you as well. It comes in this really cute box um and it comes with a silk bag which i really like, because these are really good for storing your pieces. Uh silk's really good for human hair, and it also comes with some spare clips and a bit of tape, which i thought was quite a nice touch. So my only complaint about this style of top base is the front i'm going to come in really close. So you can see it's not a natural looking front at all, there's a very obvious line. You know it's not a lace front. Um, quite often with um silk tops they the way that the hair has been attached to the base means that you can part it and it so i have, and it looks natural i don't have much hair here to blend. So if you had more hair at the front, you could sit your topper slightly further back blend in your bio hair, but i don't have that so i i like a lace front normally, because then that is very realistic and i also like a silk um front Because of the way that the hair falls, it just looks realistic, but for me that's quite an obvious um line there. So if i was gon na wear this regularly i'd either fiddle around with the parting, i think and make perhaps a deeper part that sort of or maybe even a side fringe that covers that join or i would cut in a full fringe um. So that is my only negative: i'm going to take it off um. So let's show you all right. This is the base. So, as you can see, it's a really nice big, nine by nine base and it's got quite a large area where you can part um. So it's got, this is there's no hair attached to this. This is like a really nice soft uh mesh. I guess you would call it um, so the actual um, where the hair is attached, isn't touching your scalp and then you can see. This is quite stretchy. Um, these are wefts, see if you can see them so the bionic bit is this. So you've got a good amount of space to change your parting up and, i think see i think it's quite a natural looking um parting. When you look really close, it's definitely not as natural as a silk top, because you can see the holes and the grid, but from afar i think it's pretty good. It'S a nice sort of in between between a mono top, which is quite um obvious and a silk top, which is really natural, um, so yeah. These are my just my first impressions. I haven't really styled her very much and i haven't washed her yet so i'll be interested to see what she's like when she's had a wash but she's really comfortable and light, which is important to me and she, the hair, is it tapers off at the ends? So it's not as thick at the top as it is at the ends, but it's not sparse at the ends - and i find this is quite um.
