Make sure you're moisturizing your braids, underneath you don't want to neglect your hair. You know we want this hair to look good, but we also want our hair to look good too. I know I look really crazy right now y'all, but this is how we're starting off. Okay, I want to show y'all the before and after so I just spray it in my hair to the back and you don't have to, but I did use braid in here, quick disclaimer. So, as you can see, I am not the best brighter. You do not have to be in order to do this hairstyle. I did not have a comb. I had to free bother y'all with like this other comb. It was like a wide tooth comb and that's not the comb you want to use so try the part, but I had to make it work. So, yes, I just want to let you know you don't have to be the best braider to make this style happen. All right, let's continue see when the hair starts, because I do have finer hair. So I find that using braiding, hair kind of helps, with adding some volume to my braids, for when I do crocheted hair to my to my hair kind of just helps give some type of better foundation for the style to last longer. So I know I'm looking like your little brother right now. Okay, all right! I know, but just here with me, okay, it's gon na all come together. I promise you that's braided, my hair, all back together. Let me show y'all, I'm gon na show y'all the crochet hair, I'm using yeah, let's just get into it. So for the back of my hair, I'm going to be using this curl pattern. It'S called Pearl curl. Now it's 18 inches, but I will be cutting it because I'm going for a shorter look this time around, but this is the hair it's in the color of two. This is for my local Beauty. Supply Store, nothing special. It does come in a three bundle. Pack, like I said, I'm gon na be cutting this hair in half now towards the front of my hair, I'm going to be using this hair, it's called GoGo curl Jr and the color of one. Now this hair is already pretty short. Let me see how many inches it is. It doesn't tell me how many inches it is um um, but it is pretty short and, like I said it's in the color one, this is going to be going in the front of my hair and the reason why I'm using this hair one I did want A short and curly look: coily curly look, but I also had this hair left over and I wanted to make some use of it. So I'm going to be using this color in the back or this pack in the back of my hair this one in the front. Now I have two packs of this here. I'M not sure if I'm going to need both of them, but it's always good to have more hair than less hair. Because when I go in to fill my style in when it gets a little older I'll be able to have some extra hair that I could use for that now, my camera's about to die. So I'm about to charge it for a little bit and I'll be back all right, y'all, so, starting out with this hair, as I was mentioning, I'm gon na go ahead, take it out and cut it in half, as I mentioned like I said, it was three Packs or three bundles in one pack, so I'm gon na take my scissors go ahead and cut well honestly, since the hair is already like neat and organized for me, I'm gon na just try to cut the hair in half from here. Let'S see how that works out, foreign it'll be about this length, which is about the length that I'm trying to achieve for this. Look I'm going for now, I'm about to start crocheting the hair into my head and just show y'all how that looks. As I mentioned in my last crochet video, I just use a crochet needle that I get from my local beauty. Supply store, here's the hook and you here's the latch there. It is ignore my calluses y'all gym people, y'all, know y'all, know, there's some girlies y'all know but anyway, here it is here's a piece of hair that I cut in half I'm gon na. Take the end. That'S a little bit more needed in uniform and I am going to separate that just because when it comes to separating the hair to put into my head, this is actually helpful for that process, because I don't have to worry about having to do this. When it's time for me to separate the hair, I'm just getting ready already right now, I've already separated now, when it's time for me to split the strands in in halves or thirds fourths. However many it can be a lot easier, it pulls apart a lot easier. Now, for the back of my head, I don't necessarily have to worry about dividing the hair up as much because when I do my crochet braids, the back of my hair typically has thicker strands, and I did mention this in my last video. But for those who did not see it, the back of my head typically has thicker strands, and when I get to the front of my hair like when my hairline is, I use thinner strands and I will show you that process. I just wanted to go over. It verbally quickly for those who did not know why I do it. I will also explain that too, all right as y'all can see. I have filled in the back, but I'm still working my way up, but I think I'm gon na go ahead and start using this hair now, because this hair, I noticed it's like really frizzy. I know it's not really the look I'm going for um, so I think I'm gon na start trying to use this here and just see how it all comes together. So I understand thank you, foreign foreign. I just want to show y'all um up close and personal. How I do the front of my hair now? Obviously I still have a lot to fill out um in the back of my head, but I want to start doing the front so just to make sure I have enough of this hair. So um, as I mentioned in the beginning of the video, I do use thinner strands for the front of my hair um. So I'm gon na go ahead and take my latch put it through the braid attach the hair onto the latch close it pull it through. Take a loop we'll take the loop on my fingers, pull the hair excess hair into the loop and tie it up yeah. I do do some extra ties, especially with hair, that's looser and curl, because you want to make sure that the hair won't slip out on you. That would be very embarrassing, so just make sure it depends on how many knots you feel you you need in order to make sure that the hair is stable enough. I think I did about three, so that's it um, I'm Gon na Fill it in some more and then show y'all Better Health coming along hello Beauties. It is officially one week later now. I did kind of plan for this video to go a different way, but it did not go that way. The last clip you've seen me crocheting my hair, and I was supposed to come back and kind of give you some more tips and tricks about how I get the front to look more natural, but my camera kept dying. Well, it was close to dying, and I had to keep stopping to do my hair to record or not record so get a little bit of some juice on my camera. And then I had to keep going back to my hair and then stop in and get some juice on my camera, and it was just making the proc the process way longer than it had to be. So I decided to just stop recording all together and I ended up just finishing my hair, but I did have an idea of kind of coming back a week later. To give you, ladies, an update, so I thought it could work out in the end. So, Mr hair, officially one week later after I have initially installed it, one thing I will say is that further along into you having the your crochet hair, it will lose some some of its shine. So that's kind of also why I do buy certain products. I can show you one of the things that I buy to keep some of that shine two hours later. This is something that I use. I use oil sheen. It doesn't really matter what brand you use as long as it's oil sheen and I just spray it on, and it helps it to have some type of shine, so you won't be out here looking dry, you know what I mean, so that's something I use um. Another thing I want to kind of touch back on. I mentioned it. I think in one of my other videos, but um your hair will start to get frizzy. Unless you can see some of the ends are kind of like having like hair balls at the end. So I always just go in and I cut those out, you know just to keep the style. Looking fresh, you know you don't want it to be looking crazy. So always just keep you some scissors on Deck. Okay. I also wanted to kind of let your ladies know I don't know. I feel like a lot of people. Don'T know this about crochet braids, but you can wash your hair um. If you, ladies, are interested in me doing a whole separate video about that my whole routine, on how I wash my hair when I have crochet braids in um, I'd be more than willing to do that. I actually just wash my hair today because I do work out a lot and you know I'm sweating, you know with working out come sweating, so I like to wash my hair every once in a while um and I did wash my hair today um and then After I've washed it, I kind of like filled in the hairline a little bit after I moisturize my scalp. You know I moisturize, that's something you also want to do, make sure you're moisturizing your braids, underneath you don't want to neglect your hair. You know we want this hair to look good, but we also want our hair to look good too, make sure you're moisturizing your hair underneath and yes, this is the look skirt all right. Ladies, I just wanted to show y'all how you can tie this hairstyle down in order for it to last long, and I would be lying to tell you that I always tie my hair down when I get this hairstyle, because I don't and that's just me being Honest, but if you want it to last longer, I do recommend that you tie it down um, so I just got my silk scarf. You can get any scarf, however. I will recommend a silk scarf because I feel like it's more protective to your hair. I'Ll go. You know it's synthetic here in your head, but even your edges and stuff like that it can be protective to to your edges. So I do recommend a tail scarf um and that's just me just putting it up into like a pineapple bun or whatever they call it, but pretty much. I just put all my hair towards the front of my head. You know you've seen me Bound for it. Then I get the scarf and I just tie it all around pretty much nothing too hard. If you need to rewind, please do so, you can get it right and then I'm just making and tuna tuna back to secure it, and we done I did like I mentioned. I think in the first part of this video I used two curl patterns. One was a little bit more coilier, the other one was a little bit more curlier um. They both were curly, but they were just slightly different um and I was a little nervous. I didn't know if it would turn out right. You know I thought it would. Look weird, but it kind of worked out in the end. You know the colors weren't exactly the same, but they weren't too far off to where it was just looking completely crazy and I feel like they they're blending in you really can't even tell that they were too different, um colors and not really even textures, either like They kind of just complement each other, really um, so I do have another video where I go fully into depth about how I do my crochet braids this one. I did insert some clips, but if you are interested in, you know getting more of a closer look. I will insert that video in this one and if you ladies, have any questions, please please feel free to ask I'm an open book. I want to help you out. I want to help you feel more confident, look more beautiful and just feel your best overall, but I love y'all. Please don't forget to subscribe. Peace, love and blessings.
