Hi welcome to crafter quickies, where we show you fast, easy and great linking projects you can do in a matter of minutes. My name is Pam and today I'll be showing you how to make flower hair clips that turn your hair down into a hairdo. The materials you will need are barrettes. You can find simple blade, barrettes at your local craft store in the jewelry, making section fake flowers. I found these at a wholesale floral supply store, but you can find them at a craft store or at the dollar store, cut, glue, gun and glue sticks. These can be found at craft stores or hardware stores an industrial-strength glue. It may sound a little scary, but it's very easy to use and you can use it for a variety of projects. It'S a little runny at first, but once it dries up, it holds great. If you want something a little fancier, you can add charms, butterflies or birds to the design. I got most of these through a swap in craft store org, but you can find them just about anywhere craft stores. Thrift stores and toy stores are great places to look. The first thing you want to do is turn on your hot glue gun. While that's heating up take the flower from the stem and cut the back off, don't cut it off too much. Otherwise, the petals will fall off, take your blank barrette and attach it to your plastic or wood ruler. The reason you're doing this is we're going to use a lot of industrial-strength glue and you don't want the breadstick gluing together. Now, take your glue and glue your flower to the barrette just use a little dab next, take your industrial-strength glue and put a little bit on your toothpick and add it to the rim of the flower. Let your flower sit for at least 24 hours, so it completely dries. So there you have it a quick and easy technique for making flower hair clips that go great with any outfit and also make awesome gifts for friends.
