Her Hair Was Thin So We Added Tape In Extensions | Easy Ways To Make Thin Hair Look Full

Hey pros crystal here from elite haircare, usa, so today we're doing something a little bit different. My client here is on her hair care journey and decided that she wanted a little more fullness, so we're going to be adding tape and extensions to her hair. So, to start off the service, this is a old silk press that we did about two weeks ago, so she came in and we went ahead and did her shampoo process to start the process. I used a little bit of our soothe and balance pre-treatment shampoo. This shampoo can be used as a clarifying shampoo, but it's also very soothing to the scalp. It also has zinc, so it's going to help with any form of hair loss or alopecia, and then, of course, it's going to help to re, invigorate that hair and get that follicle stimulation going now for her treatment, shampoo, i'm using our hair repair and restore shampoo. This is a sulfate free, shampoo, great for clients like her, where she is not relaxed you guys she actually is fully natural. She got a silk press for the first time about two weeks ago and now um after consulting at the silk press appointment, because she's used to having really full hair from like wigs or or sew-ins, we decided to do the tape and extensions which allows her to Still care for her hair but at the same time add that fullness and it's very, very lightweight and very discreet. So they really would not know that you had tape in extensions because it blends right in with your hair. Now this service, for me, is a service that is available on my website for booking, but i do require a consultation. So i know what the texture of your hair is, and i know what type of hair to get and the length of hair to get for. Your hair, i don't allow people to come in with their hair for tape. Ins i like to provide my own hair, which is my own insurance for my work. Now she's already been blow dried and conditioned, and then we went ahead and soaked her out using the h2 pro 1 inch, titanium iron and now what i'm doing is starting at the nape. So what you guys don't know is the nape of her neck is very, very sparse. So that's the reason why we started right behind her ear, because all the way from the occipital bone down, she actually has a lot of thinning a lot of breakage and that hair is almost obsolete in that area. So i started above this area just to give that area a chance, of course to grow out which is going to take time and then i'm adding the fullness right here, starting behind the ear right at the occipital bone line. Now, tape ins are definitely on a case-by-case basis, really for her hair. It worked out really well. This is actually an 18 inch and her hair was about 15 inches, so it blended really really well. My tape in service is a customized service. I'M not really uniform when it comes on to the tape and install mainly because i'm putting it where i see it's needed and i don't believe in filling up the head with too many tape ins. This service is great for people who just want to have that added fullness, but you don't want the weight of a sewn in track or you don't want a bonded in track. The tape and extensions are reusable, so basically at the maintenance appointment, we'll remove the tape, ends, replace the tape, shampoo, deep condition and then, of course, reapply the tape into your hair, so they're really carefree in my eyes, mainly because they blend with your hair. So well, you can still wrap your hair. You can put it in a ponytail. You can do so many different things with your hair with the tape and extensions, and this is something that they've been around for a very, very, very long time, but it just became popular all over again. This is what we call a glueless install one of those things where it doesn't require glue or sewing, even though we're using tape so sometimes that that concept can get can be misunderstood and people think it's something different, but this is just another form of extension service. So for my naturals or my relaxed clients who want to have that added fullness tape, ins are definitely an option. They'Re really really easy to care for, and the service actually doesn't really take that long now, in her case, her hair in regards to length is great, but in regards to density, it's not and that's another thing that i tell people when you are dealing with sew-ins And wig wearing yes, you're going to get the length, but you're not going to have any density, and that is what you really want. You want an equal balance of both. We want that healthy, head of hair that has length and density all. At the same time now this doesn't apply to those who are fine. Textured, fine, textured hair won't have much density, because that is the texture that god gave you and density is always going to be one of the biggest problems that we have. But this service is also good for those of you that have fine, textured hair, and you want to be able to wear that longer, hair and fill in the gaps in your hair as well. Now, the tool you guys see me using is a tape in tape and press tool. That tool basically just allows me to press the tape and together a lot better than i would with my two hands to make sure that they're really secure. And honestly, you guys placement of tape ends is really dependent on the client and the style that you're going for. But i am doing my tape, ins as if i was doing a bond in service - and i know that i'm not putting tracks all over my client's head and i want it to be easily maintenance. Another thing that i will say - and this is just a little disclaimer tapings - come in so many different textures and so many different colors okay for me, because i'm working with clients who just want that density and that fullness i try to stay away from too textured Or or tapings that are extremely textured, because i know, what's going to end up happening, you're, going to end up wanting to flat iron, your hair, a lot you're going to end up wanting to manipulate your hair a lot and the purpose of this service, for me, Is to be able to provide you with a type of style that you can wear on the regular. That does not require you to do a ton of work to your hair. You can wrap it at night. That kind of thing some people kind of abuse, the tape ins, and that is when you start seeing a lot of issues that could have been avoided in the first place if the stylus was really just honest, okay, so now we are actually done with the application. If you guys can tell it blends, really really well with her hair, and i that's another reason why i require a consultation for this service, because i want to make sure that the hair is going to blend as best possible with my clients, hair and also want To make sure that we have the right length of hair, because tapens is not something where you want to get 40 inch hair and your hair is only three inches. Okay, that's not looking natural! It'S gon na look very bulky at the base and very sparse at the ends. So that's another reason why i like to make sure that i do a consult for this service with any client who wants to get the taping extensions now time frame. How long do they last typically, i would say no more. The maintenance should be at least once a month when it comes onto tape. Ins. Why? Because number one, the hair is growing out number two: your hair needs to be washed, and so does the tape, ins and number three. That tape starts to get old. Okay, that tape starts to get very loose or slack from just the oils in your hair. So you do want to make sure that you're maintenancing that maintenance in this really well and for me, that's why i said about three to four weeks: maximum. Now i'm using the h2 pro red plate iron, which we call it the it's really called the vivaci. This particular iron is great for what i'm doing right now. It is a ceramic iron, but it is also allowing me to silk and mesh her hair with the taping extensions, and this is a wide plate. So it's one and three-fourths of an inch wide and it allows you to be able to make that hair, nice and smooth without having those added fish hooks or crimps or lines in the hair. So this is definitely a go-to for people who have extensions or if you have longer, hair or even a bob. This is great for bob curling as well. Now i'm i was kind of saying i would never provide tape in here on the website, but i love this hair. I absolutely love this hair and i said that i would one day start offering this here on the site for those of you that want to be able to do tape, ins in your city, but you want to have a really good quality hair, so uh we're Just going to do a review video when she comes in so you guys can really see the quality of the hair to see. She'S just going to wrap her hair at night as though she would, if it was her natural hair, a hundred percent. I want you guys to get into how this hair really really meshes, how it really really matches and just blends with her hair really well. That is the outcome of a good tape in install okay period. She'Ll wrap her hair at night. You just want to make sure that you don't allow the tape ins to flip up. You just want to follow that notion of down and around when you're doing your wrap and everything will be smooth from there, but the all-in-all this service came out really well.
