Hi everyone this is soleil from bebonia. Today i have a very special subject that i want to talk to you about, and that is how to transition to curly hair using curly, clip and hair extensions. Keep watching so that you can know exactly how to do this and the benefits behind using curly hair extensions to make you feel super beautiful as you embrace your natural curly hair. First things. First, let's discuss how hard it is to actually make the decision to stop heat styling your hair, to stop doing these brazilian keratin treatments to actually feel comfortable in your own skin. In this case, in your own curls in your own hair, it's tough! It'S tough! To make that decision, i mean i've been through it myself, i'm going to show you pictures of. Like me, as a teenager and in college, i used to wear my hair curly all the time and i always felt as though it wasn't just as pretty as everyone else. So. My sister, for example, has straight hair and her hair is very very straight and i always felt hair envy growing up, because her hair was just so easy to manage and it looks so shiny. Meanwhile, my hair was like a huge poof. They used to call me lagrifa, which means it's almost like saying: the frizzy girl, so that was like my nickname growing up and i hated it and it sucks. I live in miami. I lived in a very humid place growing up, so that also didn't help the cause, and i had zero idea how to style, manage my hair used to wear like these really slick back hairstyles and i tried once cutting my own bangs. Everyone was wearing bangs around me and i thought i wanted bangs too, when i did. I realized that i looked like i was wearing a hat because the bangs didn't stay. So these are just like. You know, struggles that i know are relatable. I know. There'S people out there that can connect with this and that have experience one way or another, some sort of either rejection or just self-consciousness about their hair, and i'm here to tell you that you're not alone. During my college years i dated someone that told me that he preferred my hair straight. He just said it looked more classy and that i looked i just over. Overall, i looked better wearing my hair straight and i listened to him and i straightened my hair. All the time i did treatments to my hair, i mistreated it completely and i completely altered my curl pattern so once the relationship was over, my relationship with my hair didn't change. So i continued to straighten my hair. Then i was in an environment with my career, where i felt as though it seemed more professional for me to wear my hair straight, so i went from a relationship with a partner that wanted my hair straight to then at work. I thought that i looked more professional with my hair straight, so it's just like this huge long cycle of many many years straightening, my hair, i didn't even know what it what my curly hair looked like anymore. At that point, and on top of that i was wearing straight hair extensions. So i'd have like these two different textures. It was just a lot of work, a lot of work. Until finally, i decided that i had enough. I did decide that i didn't want to straighten my hair anymore, and i wanted to be me part of loving your curly hair is loving, who you are. It is a reflection and an extension of yourself, so that was a super awakening moment and a very meaningful moment overall in my life and but then i was like all right, i'm going through this fugly stage, where my hair was just like. It had no idea what to do with. You know it's just like growing out curly, but my ends were really straight and straggly uh it was super damaged. I wasn't happy with the length it just i like long hair, so i felt as though i needed to wear something in order to enhance how i looked and to feel confident. How do you transition to curly hair to your natural hair? First things. First is one making the decision to transition, making the decision to stop chemically processing your hair to stop heating your hair, to treat your hair kindly and use products that are healthy. That will not dry your hair and damage it to put in the time and effort that it takes to get your hair healthy again. Another step is to follow influencers or curly hair bloggers in the curtin hair community that have similar hair textures as yours. In order for you to just see what recommendations they have, because this is what they're doing all the time they're very familiar with the products out there in the market that are specific to your hair type. So you can definitely learn from them and educate yourself as to what works best for you and for your hair. So people say you do have to have patience when you're transitioning, because you are going through these stages. Whether it is a big chop when your hair is super short and you're not used to that or is you have like very dry brittle ends because you're holding on to them as much as possible, we do have a solution, and that is curly clip and hair Extensions - and this is a very healthy natural way of incorporating length and volume to your hair and helping you feel beautiful. As you even transition, you can conceal your dead ends and wrap them in with the hair extensions, which is what i did while i was transitioning and that really helped me. It helped me be patient because, to be quite frank, i'm not sure that i could have done it without the extensions i feel like i would have caved. I would have had an event where i needed to look nice and i don't feel confident wearing my hair up all the time and fear you know. If i clip in my extensions, then i can still feel glam and beautiful so they're a super good way of feeling confident as you transition, especially if you're impatient your natural hair just know that you're not alone there's so many people out there going through the curly Hair journey and going through this process of transitioning to their natural hair, i know how hard it is. I know how emotional it can be, but you're not alone we're here with you uh us here at livonia. We understand the struggle and uh we're with you through that we'd love for you guys to send us any comments.
