Old Hollywood Waves Tutorial

Hey guys welcome to my channel today i have a very exciting video for you. So this is the size that i would normally use to curl my hair as in like a beachy wave, and then they do this cone size as well. They do these sizes too. This one is more like for curly, and then these are more medium yeah. This will all give you different type of curls. Another thing that this set features is 100 pure chamomile in ceramic barrels. It has a dual voltage, which makes it perfect for traveling. It has a clipless design for crease, free, curls, very good. The size i'm going to be using for today's tutorial is the 25 millimeters, which is this one. You have two little locks here so obviously to attach the barrel it needs to be unlocked. So that's what you do just push it down and then you lock into place you just twist here and it's locked now so yeah guys. This also, i have to say, is very light like so i'm thinking to travel with this really, you won't add any weight to your baggage. You know it's just so good. It'S super super light, so yeah enough of talking. Let'S get into the tutorial okay peeps! What you will need to do is detangle your hair. Just make sure you brush the hair, so the first tip for this hairstyle to be perfect, because i know a lot of you struggle with the curl not sitting where it needs to be. I remember people asking me: how do i make this type of curl just sit properly on your face because, obviously the hollywood wave - you know the wave goes here. So basically i use my eyebrow as a guide, so i normally go from the arch of my eyebrow and then i divide here to this side. So when i curl the hair, the hair goes. The waves goes like that. You know because if you start to curl your hair in the middle, let's say - and you try to do that after your haze curled, the wave is not gon na sit, how it should for this specific eye style. I like to do this way. I like to curl this side first and after this side you know normally, i would do one piece this side, one piece, this side here and there, but with this hairstyle, it's just easier to do this way. So so i always just divide from the bottom. It doesn't have to be massive pieces of hair can just take like a medium size, and the trick here is to curl towards your face. So for the beach waves. You would do the opposite. So once you release the curl, don't do anything just leave it just leave the head that we just curled to cool down. Don'T run your fingers through it, don't brush it. When i do my beach waves, i just do it kind of randomly like it's not so precise when it comes to technique, but for these specific style you do need some kind of technique to achieve the perfect. Look for that so again, guys curl towards your face and don't worry if any hair comes out like that. We'Re just gon na fix that, after just curl towards your face, sorry not away from your face and also make sure you go all the way to the roots, for example from here you know you need to go all the way close to your roots, how i'm Doing here this is gon na make a huge difference for the end result, but yeah always lift the roots and try and go as close as close to the roots. As you can 10 seconds. I just leave the curling wand on each section for like 10 seconds. This heats up so fast as well and you're gon na do this entire side of your hair. Towards your face, don't forget. I almost made a mistake. I was curling. I curled one piece away from my face because i'm so used to do that. You guys need to pay close attention to this top part as well, because this is the most important bit because it's the one that shows the most. So if you mess up this bit here, girl, it's gon na, be a headache to do it all over again. But look how shiny this is making my hair not touching this right now. I know it's so hard. You just want to like run your fingers through it, but i actually never done this hairstyle on my hair after i did the curtain bang just curious to see what it's going to look like. As you see i have a bit of a curtain. Bang i mean it shouldn't make a huge difference, but i just want to see how it's going to sit having that there this bit here. That'S where i have my curtain, bangs guys, i'm really hoping that it's gon na curl, okay, yeah, see all the hairs all coming out, which is fine. We'Re gon na fix that later with some hairspray and to be honest, we don't want this part to be too curled anyway. So if you have layers like me and you have all your layers coming out the curling wand, no after you can just take those pieces and then curl it again so yeah, it's not a big deal. Okay, now coming to the layer again, so my tip here is to always make the curl the same level as the other one. Like you see where you started this one, you want to start this one: okay, okay, so i know it looks crazy right now we're gon na, let it cool down and we're gon na move on to this side. Now this side is gon na be easier because this side we're gon na curl away from the face. This is basically how i would curl for to get like a beachy wave kind of result. These are so easy to use guys the best seriously. Just a reminder: i have applied a heat protectant spray on my hair before curling. I just didn't show on camera, but i did apply so make sure you guys do too. If you're gon na do this hairstyle try and do on your first or second day, hair um, i just think it looks better. You know like don't ever just wash your hair and do that because it won't last. I mean obviously with the nummy curly wands. This actually makes the curl last longer. I always notice that when i curl with the numi curlers, they always make my curls last longer, but another tip is to not wash your hair when you're gon na curl you on the first or second day hair. For you know the best results in terms of lasting. In my case this is my second day hair, so i always curl my hair on first or second day, hair okay. So i know it looks a little bit crazy like this, but just wait. Your head to cool down a little bit, maybe just wait a minute or so and then get a brush like that, and then what you're gon na do you're gon na brush that out that's when the magic happens yeah. I know a lot of you say every time you brush your hair after curling, your hair just tends to go frizzy and all that. So here is the trick when you brush your hair, hold your hair you're, not gon na brush, and you need to be quite slow. So i always do like this and i hold the hair like that, but just keep brushing and kind of mold the hair. How you want, and then here as well and then also just hold, then keep brushing, but very slowly and your hair is gon na, obviously get the shape that you want brush it from underneath as well. You see he's already giving that hollywood wave, which is very glamorous and then same thing with this side as well, brush the hair, also from underneath after you've done that. What i like to do is i always put this side behind my ear and then this side stays like that and then this front bead here is what we need to work on so yeah, that's getting the perfect shape. Let me see if i can show you guys the ends so yeah what i like to do if you have clips just like to clip them down, and there is one here. I usually just do two, but you can do more. If you wanted, you can do. I'M gon na do another one here as well: it's just a fixing spray, so i just like to spray a little bit of that. Leave it like that. For a few minutes i mean, let's say: if you still need to do your makeup, you can leave your hair like that.
