Uh all right, so i have a mirror right here and then i'll be looking at the my little camera screen behind me. I try to put my like mirror in the ring light, but it's just not working out. I need a better setup for when i do my own hair, since this is going to be a very regular occurrence, so i'm just going to get started for this tutorial, i'm going to be using one of these little brushes conair just so i can like part, My hair properly, i'm also going to be using one of these sponges. It'S like a bump sponge that i got off amazon, but for this tutorial it's going to be to like hold my flyaways. So i can just like push this right here and move this up, and so i can put a tape right there on that line. So you're sandwiching, basically your hair in between two pieces of extension. So they just go just like that and you're gon na do that all throughout your entire head. So i'm not starting too far down, because i get really annoyed with my extensions when they're like too far down, you can see them and stuff, so i'm actually gon na start a little bit higher and that's fine, we'll just make sure that it blends out properly Up top, so you can take me to the background and i'll show you the rest ass for inside inside out yeah mine, if you so this style of putting in hair extensions is called bricklaying. If you can see at the bottom, this one right here is sort of in the middle of these two. So that way, you are not leaving any gaps anywhere as you're moving up on your head, you're kind of going like zigzag and that sort of mechanism, so that, when the hair extensions are in completely it sort of looks like a waterfall and it blends in all By itself - and i don't know - i just really like this um particular style, because i have like an inch in between each hair extension. So when i'm washing my hair, i can get in there like this and kind of scrub. My hair and the extensions are just in a row, it's just easier for me to do it this way. I found so again. The first thing that i'm doing is i'm laying down the hair extensions, the entire row, just one half of it, i'm not sandwiching it. Yet because if i find that, like i am too close to my ear and it's gon na grow out and start to like hurt my ear, then i can move things around without it being sandwiched in just yet so um. That'S why i'm doing it like this? Just kind of like putting the top ones first of the sandwich and then i'll lift them up and close the sandwiches out after it's kind of funny, because on youtube, no one gives me for doing hair videos and not being a hair stylist, but on tick tock. Like a lot of you, guys have been not you guys, like my followers, but i'm just saying, like random people, when my videos show up on their for you page they'll get really offended that i'm like doing hair tutorials and i'm not a hair stylist. I'M. You know i own a makeup brand um and i don't want to offend anybody, but the issue is you know you don't ever want to judge somebody for doing their own hair. You do know that there are some americans out there that don't know if they should be paying their electricity bill this year, if they should be paying their electricity bill this month or paying their rent this month and you're shaming people for doing their own hair, like If i don't know where my next meal is going to be coming from, i'm sure is how i'm not going to a hair stylist and paying 40 dollars for them to cut my hair, i'm going to do that at home and the way i'm going to do It at home is i'm going to look up, tutorials on youtube and tick, tock and instagram, and i'm gon na wing it and i'm gon na do my best. Given my life circumstances, so i really dislike when people kind of put me down for doing these tutorials, because at the end of the day, i'm fine where my life is. You know what i mean, i'm kind of living out in the middle of nowhere in virginia, which is why i don't have a good salon to go to here for any of this stuff. But why shame someone like you, don't know what that other person's going through in life? I don't know, couldn't meet me. It literally could never be me. I would never talk down to a complete stranger on the internet like that, but anyways. Here'S how i'm installing hair extensions from amazon i mean this - is just such an inexpensive way and tape-ins are so easy. There are so many tutorials on youtube of people doing their own extensions. It'S because it's just so darn easy like it's not rocket science. You just need to figure out how to have a mirror behind you in a mirror in front of you, and you can do it. It'S really not that hard. I buy these hair extensions. Usually i pay maybe like 40 to 50 dollars for a pack. That'S because i got really long ones, it could be cheaper if you get shorter, hair extensions, too um and if you're not trying to add length, you can go with just one pack, but you know if you just want to do volume. One pack is good enough and you can space it out as you please, but i like to add length and i want it to be blended. So i do two packs and two packs of tape is all you really need so for a hundred dollars. You get like really long, luscious hair on amazon um. You can do it at home by yourself. You can move it up every single month and it'll last you like a good three months. If you take care of your hair properly and again, i'm not saying this to like a fan hairstylist like if you are a hair stylist, i'm so proud of you and i hope you get a million clients and stuff. But for folks that are like me living out in the middle of nowhere. Currently, i'm not back in michigan, where my hair salon, where i have like my trusted hair salon, you know what i mean. What can you do other than doing it yourself and i'm not going to shame anyone for that, so this one was a little bit messy because i couldn't see what i was doing in the mirror. My mirror is not giving me the angle on that side, so there now we have four beautiful hair extensions and at the bottom we have three beautiful hair extensions below and then there's four and i'm gon na move my way up. Another two inches right there. Isn'T it funny how we are, though, you wish fade away, fade away, fade away row of five, and now i'm going to do a row of six sandwiches, all right. That was a 30 minute mark. So far, it's taking me 30 minutes and i'm at the top row now and i've gotten all six of the top sandwiches done now. We'Re gon na put the bottom halves in and we might take a look and see if we need a little bit more on the sides. Maybe i'll do one here and one hair a little bit higher and that's it guys, and i love how much hair i have above the extensions that kind of hides it for me. I don't like it when my tape ins kind of show at the top of the head, that happens a lot to celebrities and they get made fun of and there's like a whole instagram page. That shows bad extensions. Oh my god. That would be the worst. Actually. I could think of worse things happening in the scheme of things. It'S not that bad, but still we want to do this as good as we possibly can fade away fade away, fade away all right. So now we have. All six of these up here looks so good - oh my god. Oh my god, all right. Let'S take this hair down and see how it's blending out. If we need to add extensions anywhere, you can try adding them. Oh girl ooh forgot about this bad girl. My hair okay hold on okay. This looks good so far. I think. Okay, so here's the see the back yeah my hair got curled because it was in the clip, so it just takes curls so fast, but i feel like i could use two extensions right here to give me some length in the front. Do you see how my hair extensions they just don't match up to the face frame? So if i just put in maybe a piece right here, then the hair extension could come down into this area. So we're going to try doing that. You go oh yeah. Much more full with that one piece of extension: there: it's just this guy right here: it just lets the layer sit on something it fills a void, and i need to fill the wood on this side too. So i'm just gon na feel it out where i had the last the bulk of the hair went by pretty fast, i would say: 19., i don't know how many packets yeah girl, i mean check out the back. I hope it looks good. I don't know all right. That is the end of this hair tutorial. I hope you guys enjoyed it it's much more simpler than the previous tape and extension that i had up on youtube. So i hope you guys learned a lot from this one if you're comparing it to the other one. I think this one's way better, like don't even watch the other one just stick to this one. I feel because it's just easier, it's easier for me to clean too so row of six going all the way through five four three and i don't even mess with the nape of my neck. I just like let my small hairs kind of like chill back there. Um, it doesn't really affect my hair and the grand scheme of things. You can't really tell that. There'S a lot of hair on the nape of my neck, and then i did put two extra small ones on the side to sort of like make my face frame. Fit the length of my hair: these are, i believe, 22 inch, hair extensions that i've just put in my hair and yeah. I think it's it's perfect for how long my hair was it blends out really nicely and if it doesn't blend out that nicely, you can always get some scissors and kind of blend it out chop it up wherever you feel like it needs to be chopped up, But just remember that if you're going to be doing that, then you have to put your hair extensions back in in the same order, because you would have cut them to different lengths at that point and that just gets a little tedious. So for me, i i don't think i'm going to cut it really, i kind of like how it looks and i'm okay with like the bluntiness of it. That'S fine, it's not even that bad i'll worry about it in the next extensions video. I do have some eye tip extensions that are coming in a brand that i actually usually buy. My extensions from is sending those to me, so i will do another video when those come in and i need to take these out anyways. So i have a lot of hair extensions. Now i bought a bunch for myself and because my youtube videos popped off, i'm being sent hair extensions as well. So, honestly, this brand is really good because i've already had them in for a whole month and they're still so shiny and they have no split ends and they're really really soft. I feel like this is good quality hair. So if you guys want to know what like what these extensions are, i can link it down below. You don't have to buy this one, but i just know that these are really good and they're on amazon and they are like as affordable as hair extensions get on amazon. So you won't find anything cheaper and the quality is actually better than a lot of brands. That i've used before so you might as well check them out all right guys until the next one bye you wan na hold me inside inside out.

Alli McCoy: Your last one isn’t confusing btw. I was confused becuz I’ve never ever had them before. I put one in (ended up taking it out becuz I remembered I need to tone them lol)

Alli McCoy: OMG! Thank you!! Thank you thank you for this!!

Alli McCoy: OK I finally watched almost all of it I’m at 14 51 seconds but I realized we probably have very similar hair texture bc of your hair curling while in the clip…well I pin my hair to curl it and that’s becuz I stopped using a blow dryer/any hot tools but I have them, so it’s just becuz I bleach/tone/color my hair more than I use hot tools but the combined damage was too much. Now I’m prolly likely to start using them especially now that I’ve got a heat protectant. And yes I was that dumb and ignorant that i thought I didn’t need heat protectant (again #1 lazy ness is the cause of the justification I made!! Lol) Oh ok yeah so basically how do I avoid having curly hair with straight extensions or do you feel that these take a wave/curl well and stays? I don’t mind my curls as long as I can maintain the frizz to it being none. But Texas has a lot of humidity but I realized that using a humidifier in the rooms helps with hair / dry sinus stuff and breathing so anyways lastly, do you find it hard to wash the extensions? I see that posted a lot In the videos I’ve been watching (yet no answer it if so they just say no no problem) I don’t even know if I should use Olaplex no 4-6 on the extensions?! I also only have 1 purple shampoo atm the Joico purple shampoo. Other kinds: matrix humectant, color protection, keratin deep purple bottles, a hair mayonnaise & color protect orange label for the biolage knockoff from Sally’s; Redken extremes sham&cond. and matrix blue shampoo & conditioner but I can’t use it when I have blonder hair. Y+b=g I know you know but in case someone else see’s this and wonders. I literally fell off a stool when I realized the color wheel was the hair color theory (mostly) becuz it all made sense and I stopped having issues when I switched to Schwarzkopf lightener.

Alli McCoy: Your eye look is giving me life!!!!

bluerose: Thanks from France You could reuse this only 3/4 monts ?

Eve 506: Thank you!

Alli McCoy: Ok I left a detailed comment on last one we were talking about the ones I got. I sent them back and got money back and in the meantime the company sent me 2 packs and I just got them in. From Fullshine. I love your videos and I’ve not been in tiktok since I deleted it last year. Just didn’t have space and yes I’m still that broke that I’ve not upgraded. Lol You are the best and I’m sorry if you ever catch any shit for anything you do becuz I’d watch yours over anyone else’s because You are relatable. I relate to you. So thank you for all the hair tips and advice!! F*ck the haters!!! Ok secondly becuz I’d rather do a diy, over than going into debt, to go to a hairstylist. I’m sorry but it’s just that way for me. Thank you Shelly for this!! Seriously so cool and awesome and sweet of you!! You are fire! I’m living for this thank you!!

Eve 506: Thanks!
