#hairextensions

Hey guys welcome back today's video is all about how to straighten your hair with your hidden crown, hair extensions and getting them to blend. When you want to wear your hair straight, so it's a very easy technique. I use I actually want to mention that there are more details on this method of straightening that I use in our other video, so make sure to check out that other video too. If this method is new to you, it's a very easy method. It'S just kind of retraining yourself if you have not used this method before it's much faster and it gets your hair smooth and sealed so that you can get that nice silky soft, look and feel, and it's easy to blend your layer of your hair. In with your extensions this way, so let's get started so first, I like to just split my hair down the middle in the back and bring it forward. My hair is grown out now, a little bit, it's not as short as it used to be. So this should be a little bit more easy than it was when my hair was super short now all I'm going to do is kind of take just sections of the top layer and then bottom layer and just get them roughly straight or it's as straight as I possibly can so when you go to straighten your hair in section you want to make sure that you comb out or brush out any tangles. You don't want to have any tangles running into this issue, because you're going to be using your comb, alright. So, taking the first section I have my porcelain ceramic straightening iron. I have the section of hair in my hidden crown rat tail comb and then I'm slowly following the comb with the straightener. Now all these little bumps are fine. We can get those out later. So I'm just coming to getting my hair as straight as I possibly can right now without the extension on. So, if you notice I'm going pretty slow and what that does is it allows the straightening iron to do what it's meant to do? The porcelain ceramic straightening iron is really great because it helps smooth and seal that cuticle nicely to bring out the natural shine and silky feel all right. You guys, so I have my daydream. 14 inch extension that I'm gon na be showing you this with and if your extension is not straight, like mine, is already make sure to check out the video that goes more in details on the proper straightening technique. I'M using to get your extension straight first as well. I do recommend you straighten it off of your head on the hanger. It'S just the most easiest and quickest way to get it straight, and then you can make any refinements after okay. So I wanted you to go ahead and see now see how my hair straight, but it's not where my hair is disappearing into the extension hair. Now, if you have very thick hair you're going to want to make sure to take less hair up and over the extension, because when you have very thick hair that isn't tapered or it's short and thick, the ends of your hair are very, very heavy. So making sure that you don't have too much hair pulled up and over is important. Now my hair isn't very thick, but because it's short and the ends are all one length like my hair - isn't very layered. So my ends are pretty blunt in ending, and so you can really see that, even when I you know, you can still really see the ends of my hair, even though I pulled less over but no worries we are going to take care of that. I just flip my hair down the middle, so now what I'm doing is just grabbing a little bit of the extension hair and then my section of hair that lays over it you're gon na put that section in the comb making sure the comb is above the Ends of your hair and your going to do the same method as I did straightening my hair, but see how slow I'm going. I'M at about 350 degrees with my straightener but see how slow I went and then the ends of the hair just completely get sealed and smooth and disappear into it. So let's go ahead and do the rest of the sections on this site, so you can see so. The key ladies, is going slower with your straightening iron, okay guys. So I went ahead and did the other side the same as I did this side and as you can see, you can kind of still see it like right here I can, but I mean most people would be really happy with this and totally fine with how It blends because naturally, some people have layers and it's you know, movement of hair. Now, if you were bothered by this, this is how I work with these sections in the back. Unfortunately, it is a little more difficult. You have to be a little more patient because it's just the angles that you're taking it at. So you can see my hair here sticking up and I just need to go slower with a little bit of the extension here now. You don't want to tilt your straightening iron up, because that will flip the ends of the hairs up. You want to keep it pretty straight and you can even put a little bit of a round under bend into it to make the hair go together a little bit better. We go that's much better, so there it is now, obviously with movement. If you have short hair, you might see that you know top layer of your hair move when your head's moving with normal movements throughout the day. Just know that you know who cares what anybody thinks as long as you feel great in your hair and the way that you look? That'S all that matters so embrace that confidence and practice this technique. It will change everything on your hair extensions and your own hair. For when you straighten your hair, we hope you found this video to be very helpful and it answered all your questions. Denise D: Great video and love your talent and your honesty. You always look so lovely <3

Sharon Money: Hi Bonnie, I purchased the 18 inch halo with the topper in jet black. However… I wanted to add clip ins to create a lawyered look from the topper and 18 inch halo. Not sure what length I should get 14 or 16 to make my hair to blend. I wish you would do videos on mixing topper with hallows and clip in for layered looks and fullness.

You Tube Reply: Hi Bonnie, what topper do you recommend that has the thickest hair ? Not so much in length but rather hair volume.

Butterfly 9: Bonnie. You had mentioned in a video not to go over 345* with a flattening iron. Since it's real 100% remy hair and we don't do the ends why does it matter? I want to smooth the layers. It doesn't have a shine. I've always used Chi Serum in my own hair. Can I use it on my layered Crown?

Leighann McGowan: Great video because my layers are so short right now lol .....

Vxmplorx: I’m trying to blend my halo hair extension with my short hair

thania gamboa: What straightener is that?

Suzanne Campbell: Hey have a quick question. If you do not mind Bonnie. Your natural hair. Is it a Bob with a few layers. I really li, e the look. Thank you so much Suzanne....
