What'S up and welcome to my channel, my name is ruby and in today's video i am going to be doing a review on this hair because in my last jackie aina um forever mood candle haul. A lot of you guys were asking about the hair asking um wanted to know where i got it from and all that kind of stuff. So this video i'm going to be explaining everything about this hair. So if you're interested, then let's go ahead and get started. Alright, so i got this hair from a company called mercy, hair extensions and i'll be sure to put a link below. So that way you guys can get the direct link to the exact hair that i got. The hair is called the virgin mongolian kinky curly hair, and i got it in the texture. Um. 3B. 3C there's also a tighter texture called the um. It'S a tight kinky and it's called it's the 3c 4a hair. So if you have, if you want to get a tighter curl pattern, then that is the type of hair you should get. I did get this hair in a length of 16 inches and it is just a natural black color. I don't think that yeah, i'm pretty sure you don't have the option to like choose a color. It just comes in a natural black, so with this hair, this is actually the second time that i purchased this hair. I purchased this hair. Oh almost, probably six. Seven years ago, um, when i first got this hair, it was very nice i um dyed it. I left probably about two to three inches of root, but then i bleached the rest of the hair, and that was a really big mistake, because i really didn't know how to take care of hair at that time. When i did it, i just knew the kind of look that i was going for, but i didn't really know how to take care of it. I didn't know you know when you bleach hair that you're supposed to you know put a lot of moisture back into the hair, because now the hair is deprived of moisture and use all these different kinds of products in the hair. I didn't know that so eventually the hair started breaking off, and things like that. So i can't really give you a good um. I guess example or review about how the hair takes to color, because i would say that the breaking off and everything like that was due to me not really knowing how to take care of bleached hair. I eventually just ended up um putting a black box dye over it, so that i can you know, kind of save the last little bit of it that i had, but then eventually i ended up, throwing the hair away, and ever since i had that hair i've Been wanting to purchase it again, so i i don't know why i hadn't purchased it, but i just hadn't purchased it until this year. Another thing i want to mention about that hair is when i had it bleached i got so many compliments. Even this hair. Even now i get so many i mean you guys were complimenting me so much in my last video about this hair. I get so many compliments on this hair, all the time um when i had the color in it. When i say every single day, like my sister, would get tired of me telling her how many compliments i got because every single day somebody would give me a compliment on my hair, telling me that it looked good or you know something like that, because six seven Years ago there were not a lot of companies that had natural hair that actually looked like your natural hair as they do now. So a lot of people thought that it was my real hair. I was tricking a couple of people out there. You know, but it it really does look like natural hair. So, okay, so i told you guys how the length i told you guys what type of hair this is um right now, if you were to purchase the hair um, it is going for if you purchase it in the same um texture in the same length as Me it is currently 140.89 per bundle - 140, basically, 141 dollars per bundle. I have two bundles in right now, not even two full bundles. This is um. What i have left of the hair. This is uh. How much i have left. So two bundles is definitely enough. Hair to get a full natural, looking um hairstyle, so as of right now, i do not have the curls in its natural curl pattern. I actually did a twist out, so that is the kind of curls that you will get. If you do a twist out, i've done bantu knot out on this hair. I'Ve done um twist out. I'Ve done a three strand twist on this hair. You can do everything you do with your natural hair to this hair. I don't have it in a sew in. I did buy a dome cap and i just sewed it on uh, using the iv flip over method. So if you're not familiar with the iv flip over method, then you can just go ahead and um, not google, it but youtube. It and you'll see her method. I haven't watched hair videos or hair reviews, hair tutorials, all that kind of stuff in a very, very, very long time um. So that is the kind of method that that's the last kind of method that i knew that people were doing before, like frontals and closures and all that kind of stuff came out. They do have frontals for this hair, but i just feel like when you have a frontal. Like people know it's a frontal. You know what i mean like, i feel like it wouldn't look as natural, because you can still see my natural hairline and everything like that. So it makes the hair look even more natural, so, rather than having a lace front - and i mean that's just me - i'm sure some people out there can slay it to the gods and make it look like it's growing out of your scalp. I myself am not there yet, like i said i don't really watch a lot of hair tutorials and i don't really know a lot of techniques and things like that. I just do what i can do. Okay, so yeah, i did the ivy flip over method, and i have just very very very little bit of my hair in the front out right here on this side. All of this is braided. There'S no leave out on this side, and i just have leave out. Probably from let me see from here to here is how much leave out i have and it's less than an inch of leave out, or you know, as far as the thickness of the hair, i just put a little bit out here so that way, you'll see My natural hairline, but everything else is covered by the hair. So i did want to mention some products that i use in this hair to make the curls pop or to like moisturize the hair and everything like that. So it doesn't look dry. So when i first got the hair well, let me tell you, i purchased this hair in april of this year and it's october, and this hair still looks brand new. I'Ve been wearing it off and on - and it's just like it's very, very, very good. High quality hair and that's why i call so much, but when i first got the hair, i did shampoo it with the on jackie, curls and coils, also clean moisturizing and soft softening shampoo. This is the same shampoo that i use on my natural hair as well. I didn't use any conditioner, i didn't deep condition the hair or anything like that, because the hair is very good on its own, like it has a very nice luster and all that kind of stuff. So i didn't really feel like it needed to be deep conditioned, but some of the tools that i or some of the things that i use to style the hair is this: miss jessie, quick curls. This is a curl cream and it says the best darn quick, curl cream period. This is a very good curl cream. I use this in my natural hair, like everything that i use in this on this hair is the same stuff that i use all my natural hair. My natural hair is kind of it's very similar to this texture, so i knew that if it works on my hair, then it'll work on this hair and then just to hold everything together. I like using the aunt jackie um flaxseed recipe, don't shrink flaxseed, elongating curling gel. I really really like this gel because, like like it says it's elongating. It doesn't really cause the curls to shrink up too much and it doesn't have that crunch. So it's a very lightweight um gel, so i like using that and these these two i actually used to do my twist out - and this is what i also use when i do a bantu knot out three strand twist out or even if i do like the Wash and go kind of look, i always use these two products. These two products are very good. They really they really do a good job working together and do a good job on this hair. As far as tangling, this hair does not tangle up on me very much um. When it does tangle, i will say that it doesn't match up. I know that there are a lot of curly hairs that mat up when like in the back, especially they get tangled, and then they get matted up and it's just a whole disaster. This hair does not do that. This hair does not do that. I'Ve never had an issue with this hair matted up in the back or even really getting too tangled in the back like. Sometimes if i wear the hair, like i said this is this is a wig, so i take it off every every night. So i don't sleep with the wig on, so it's not like getting tussled and you know rolled around when i'm sleeping and things like that. So i think that's a benefit as well. If you do get this hair, i suggest getting it and putting it into a wig rather than doing a sew in so um this hair. I will say this is probably day three or day four of a twist out and right now there are no tangles back here um. The only thing my fingers are getting caught on is just the twists that, like haven't, been separated all the way like this one. This one hasn't been separated all the way, so that was the only thing that my finger was getting caught on, but as far as tangles, there are no tangles back here. The hair is great, the hair is really great. This is the best curly hair that i have ever purchased um. If i'd known how to take care of dye, hair or bleached hair back, then i probably would still have that hair to this day, this hair i'm not going to dye it. Even though i know how to take care of dye hair, better now and different kind of products, and things like that to use for dyed hair, i'm not going to dye this hair because i like the way that it looks black and just natural, it looks unprocessed. So i'm gon na leave this hair the way it is, but i guarantee you two three four five years down the line, i will still have this wig and i will still be wearing this. Wig like this is going to be a forever wig. For me, i feel because, as long as you take care of your wigs, they can last you a very very very long time and because it costs so much, i don't want to do anything to mess it up. So i want to make sure that i take care of it moisturize it wash it every so often to make sure that the products are not getting clumped up in the hair, and you know just take care of it. Just like you take care of your natural hair. Now i told you guys i ordered this hair in april um, i'm not exactly sure how long it took to send to me, but i know it didn't take too long. It probably honestly it probably took two weeks. Maybe a week i don't really honestly, i don't remember, but i know that it didn't take a very long time. It was like. I was waiting forever for the hair to get to me. It doesn't take a very long time to ship right now. Um with you know the virus and everything going on, they might have some delays, but as of i mean for what i know when i looked on the website, it didn't say that there are any kind of delays that they are expecting or anything like that. So i don't think that you should have a problem with ordering the hair and getting it as soon as possible, but yeah um. I think that is everything that i wanted to say about this hair um.
