Tape In Hair Extensions: Application And Review

This video is a Review and Application for the Melody Locks Remi Tape In Hair Extensions that I wore over the Holiday Season of 2016. I got the hair extensions on Amazon and I bought the replacement tape from Sallys Beauty Supply. I really liked the hair and had great results, so I wanted to share a little bit about them and give them a good review! I show you how I put in a couple of the extensions and what they look like now that I just have a few in for volume.

How'S, the haircut, though that's what's really important, yeah, that's what we're going about hi everyone thanks so much for joining me today and welcome back to my youtube channel today. I am filming a quick intro for you guys to share with you a little bit of a review, slash how-to on hair extensions. So I didn't actually film a whole lot of videos, while all of the hair extensions were in my hair because it was holiday time and life gets crazy and I don't know how some other youtubers do it. But I like could not bring myself to film around the holidays plus I was working on my website, so I was just too busy. Having said that, I had pretty much a full head of tape and extensions and over the holidays, and originally they were 18 inches long, which was a little bit too long for me. So I think I trimmed them up so that they were more like 16 inches long and they were like down here and I had a lot of fun with it. But in the end it ended up being a little bit too much here for me to have ended up all at once, so I ended up taking some of it out. But I really really liked hair and I wanted to do a review of review because they didn't have really great reviews on their Amazon page and I'll. Explain that in a minute, so the company is called melody locs and I got the remy tape in here and I'll put a little spelling down below for you guys so that you can see what it is. But when I read their reviews, I knew myself that I could put them in okay and I knew myself that I could trim them. Okay, so I wasn't super worried about everything that I read when I was looking for extensions as far as like application was concerned. What I was looking for was quality of the hair, because I wanted it to last a long time and these guys got a really good review on the quality of their hair. But a couple people said that the tape didn't last very long and that they felt like even after just one shampoo, they lost a hair extension Jimmy. That was not necessarily a concern, because I knew that I could just put more tape on the hair extension and put it back in because I've done it before and I used to be a hairdresser. So I knew that I could do my own hair, so I wasn't so much concerned about the tape. I ended up getting some tape from Sally's there. Oh satin strands, I think, is their brand, so I got their teeth and just had and for like if a hair extension fell out - and I was really impressed - I was really happy with it. It was comfortable to wear it washed and styled easily, for me like. Basically, all I would do was a shampoo and condition and air dry for a little bit and then, like the last, my hair dryer really super fast and then breathe either two braids or like three braids and sleep in it and then the next day. I would take the braids out, and I just had this fun wavy hair, so I I was really happy with them and I thought that they did a good job. What I have in right now is just a couple of extensions to add a little bit of thickness back to my hair, because my hair is deceiving, it looks thicker than it really is. It'S naturally curly and it just has a lot of volume. But when I go to do things like updos or braid, my hair, sometimes I wish there was a little bit more, but I wasn't necessarily looking to have really long hair this time. So this time I just put in a few extensions to add some thickness and then I trimmed them down to the length that my natural hair is right now, so, at the end of this little intro, you guys will see me actually applying a couple. The extensions and I don't actually get to style it in the video because, as we were running out of time, but I wanted to show you guys that this is what it looks like when it's all styled and when it's all done - and I will try to Show you guys a couple of the extensions. I hope this lighting is okay, I'm right in front of a window, so it might be a little too bright, but I'll, try and show you a little bit of it. What it looks like Louis and now, one of the other things I wanted to talk about is when you get the hair. They are this wide. So that's about an inch and a half, and the first time I put the hair in. I just left it like this, but some of it felt like it didn't blend and some of it like a couple back in the back of my hair, felt like they were so heavy that they were pulling out of my hair frequently and it was having to Reapply them a lot, so what I ended up doing was actually cutting them in half so now they are all this wide, so you can see the difference. I'Ll hold them both up right next to each other here, and hopefully you guys can see how narrow that is now and then I just cut my tape in half long ways to and when I put them all back in when they were this size, they lasted A lot longer because they weren't as heavy they styled a little bit more naturally because they were more evenly dispersed throughout my hair, and I just felt like they were more comfortable in general. I think they styled more like an eye tip extension. I never liked. Having item extensions and because I always felt like they poked my hair, so to me these are my favorite hair extensions, these teeth ends, but when I, when I get them their natural width that they come from the company, I just trim them down in half and Then I get more wear out of them and they last longer for me so I'll, try and show you guys where all the extensions are now, if I can find them with my fingers here, I kind of did you'll see in the video how I sectioned my Hair, i sectioned it a little bit higher in the front and lower in the back because, like I said, I really just wanted it for thickness. So you can see if you can see this in here. I have two there and another one here and another one down here and I just did the same thing on both sides. So what is that for total on each side of my head and I feel like it's really comfortable, but I braided my hair. The other day that little bit of extra thickness, but I wanted and it's been a little bit of fun to style yeah. So having said that, I had a lot of fun with the extensions and I thought the brand was really good and they were really comfortable. But now I just wanted a burr thickness, so I hope you guys liked this video. I hope you guys enjoyed watching how I put a couple of them in and maybe if you want to try some extensions, this answers, some questions that you might have about. Having tape and extensions or if you were looking into the melody roxbury and hopefully this helps you guys hear from somebody who had a good experience with them, as opposed to some of the people who said that the tape just wasn't strong enough and if you guys, Like this video, please give it a thumbs up.
