Hey guys welcome back to my channel so in this video i'm going to be showing you how i do my half up, half down style, which i did for my birthday. Some of you were asking for the tutorial, so here it is. If you'd like to see how i achieved this, look then keep on watching and please give this a thumbs up and subscribe if you're not already enjoy so first thing, i've done is. I have parted. My hair - i hope you can see this, but i've done a part all the way across, just above or just yeah, just at the tip of my ear, all the way around to the other tip. So it's right there, and then that means this bit is going to be all down and this is going to be up so what i've done for the time being, because my hair is quite short, this is going to be a challenge. I'Ve blow dried it out, and i've just put some. I put some hair bands in just to make sure the stretch stays as long as possible and i might need to blow dry again afterwards because i'm going to start on the back so for the back. I have basically done some very messy braids with my short forcy hair and i'm going to show you how i'm going to sew the tracks on the back. So what i don't want is a permanent hairstyle if that makes sense, because this is a hairstyle like it's half up half down, and i don't really want that to be permanent, so um, i'm actually going to sew it onto a cap that i could then clip Or sew onto this hair, so it's less permanent and then obviously the ponytail will be done. The way ponytails are done and that can be easily um sort of unraveled each evening. So that is my plan in order to do that, what i'm going to do is i'm going to take this dome cap, i'm going to put it it's really tight. Actually, i'm going to put it over my head. So i've put this dome cap on and i'm basically going to measure where my braids, so where the, where the bottom half is, that makes sense and then i'm going to attach it to a uh, a head and i'm going to sew it. That way, make sense. So i'm just going to feed around cause. I can feel exactly where my braid starts and ends and i'm basically going to take the chalk like. So i hope it's transferring i'm just going to measure is that transferring cube is proper. Yeah voila take this off and there you have it. You can see exactly where it's been marked and then i'm going to cut that bit. I'M going to cut a little bit over the line because sometimes these things can shrink and then i'm going to take my um foam head, which is actually uh way smaller than my head. But it's okay, because we've measured it and i'm basically going to pin this down so the weave i'm using is this it's just some old uh body wave. I think hair and i honestly don't know how long it is. I think it might be 22, but it's been so long since i've worn a weave, so i really don't know oh huh, i think we're getting into a weird area here, so that is now done. As you can see see, i've made my little half wig and the only part of the track that you can see is that top little bit, which my ponytail will cover anyway, but i'm going to sew that down to these braids. But before i do that, i think it's easier if i slick my hair up now no way is it yeah i'll slip, my hair up now and then i'll sew this to the back so to slip my hair up, i'm kind of just going to freestyle it. I'M going to use a big old tub of eco styler. I'Ve also got got to be uh gel, but yeah, i'm just gon na i'm just gon na freestyle. This i'm gon na, take out these hair bands. So, in order to give us something to wrap around we're, gon na take a little bit of extension. Okay, now i'm gon na start gluing. I think we're getting into a weird area here, oh hey! So i'm back so i had to step away from the camera because i really needed a closer look trying to slip that hair back was harder than i thought, but i did it. I slipped it back with my eco styler gel and then i used the got to be glue and i also used the got to be styler one. The yellow can um and then i wrapped it and then, while i was waiting for it to set, i blow-dried it a little bit, but i also did my makeup to pass time because i am going out it's my birthday, i'm going to take it out now. Fingers crossed nothing falls apart: okay, okay, yes, okay, i'm! Okay! I'M happy with this! I'M happy with this. I really hope it doesn't fall out of place. Anyways. Now i'm going to take this half wig and i'm now going to sew it down just very loosely. It doesn't have to be too secure because i'm pretty sure it will be hot actually is windy today, but i'm pretty sure it'll be all right. I think we're getting into a weird. Oh okay done. Oh my gosh, i'm loving it already. Okay, final step is to take the rest of the weave and wrap it slash, sew it around my head. So i'm just going to take that extension that i made earlier i'm going to wrap this around into a top knot and any bobby pins anymore. Pins no bobby pins, i'm going to elastic elastic bandit. This is now the base for my hair. I'M going to take it like so start sewing it in this is the final look. I really love it. If i have more time, i might add more hair to the pony, but for now i got ta go hope you enjoyed this video guys, give it a thumbs up and subscribe. If you haven't already bye guys, you
