Hey everybody welcome back to my channel, so today's video, i filmed this eye tip install and i just kind of wanted to show you how i did it and just give you some pros and cons and tips on it installations. Okay, so first thing that i did was gone through and i braided about two inches of the perimeter of her hair. This is going to be the leave out so when she pulls her hair up in a ponytail and then i'm going to start adding the micro link beads to the hair. You can add the i sub strands as you go to make it easier. I just was like pre-putting the beads on there, which was stupid because they just kept sliding down. So you want to make sure that each strand of hair that you pick up from the person's head is the same size as the i tip strand. If the natural hair strand is too small, the isip strand can weigh it down and snap the entire piece of hair. But if it's too much hair inside the micronic bead, you won't be able to fit the eye tip strand inside and be able to close the link um. It'S so easy to push the bead up too far on the scalp, like it's not supposed to be the way that i just showed you i had to redo these. The beads should lay evenly on the bottom part line, and it's like i said it's just easier. As you're doing these to push these up as far up as they go, but you do not want to do that that hurts and it's extremely uncomfortable. So you definitely want to make sure you have clean parts and that you don't have any extra hair pulling from anywhere this way it ensures your work is neat and keeps the extra hair strands from being tightened into the wrong bead. The eye tip should be able to move freely with no pain, so the back is pretty straight forward, but for versatility once you start getting towards the middle, you want to ask your client: do they want to wear their hair like half up half down and multiple Parts, so if i have a path down, you want to leave about an inch of hair out in the middle, so it covers both the top and the bottom and in the front, if the hair is shorter, like hers, you want to leave out a small amount Of hair in the middle, and then you want to leave a small amount on both sides, sort of like a vixen install, so it can cover the beads. As you know, vixen installs have its pros and its cons and the con is blending and the hair not laying as flat when you flip the parts. Another thing when you have short hair is when you're leaving all of this hair out to have multiple parts, because the hair is not as long and flowy. It'S not going to blend in with the hair extensions easily. And from my experience, if you leave too much hair out and you put the install down you're going to have to do a lot of straightening and a lot of manipulation to make the install blend in even though it may fit up in a ponytail, it's just Not going to look right down, so what i recommend doing is adding more eye tips closer to the hairline. If you have shorter hair and then pulling it up in a ponytail and then like one by one, removing the eye tips that you can see the beads. But if you have to remove too many eye tips and when once you put it back down, if it doesn't blend right or if it doesn't look right, then you just won't be able to do a ponytail. I always explain to my clients that your hair needs to look right down first and even the model in this video. She has a decent length of hair and, even though the ponytails were cute, she wanted me to add more hair closer to her hairline and just make one part in the middle, so the install can be fuller and blend better, and another thing is, i tip: installs May look full on video and on camera, but in person they create a natural density and a very natural install. They are not going to look anything close to a three or four bundle sewing eye tips literally extend your natural hairs density down and also if your hair strands are really thick, the eye tips may be too fine and your natural hair will sit on top of The extensions versus blending in so um so eye tips may not work for you if your hair is too thick and also if you plan on maintaining eye tips at home, you have to be gentle with washing and blow drying. It'S so easy to pull out a strand of your hair in a bead, if you're being too rough with your hair or if you're handling your hair. The same way, you would your natural hair and you should be able to manage the two different hair textures. If your hair isn't naturally straight or wavy, and even as a hair stylist, i feel like maintenance on, i tips are harder because you can't move as quickly. You literally have to be so gentle. I tips are for those who, like i said, like a very natural, install and want a natural density for me. Personally, i don't like them, especially if i was to do it in my head. It'S just too thin and it takes too long, and i think you can get the same. Look and versatility with the braidless sewing. People also call those microlinks to me. Microlinks are fuller, they're easier to maintain they literally take half the time to install. I just think like it's just a quicker alternative, so i like microlinks, better um. Nonetheless, that's just my opinion, but these are the results still flawless and beautiful, so um. These are just a little bit of pros and cons and just a little bit more information on eye tips. I'M going to do a video like this for a micro link install, so you guys please stay tuned for that. I hope this video was informative and helpful and i hope you enjoyed it and thank you for watching and i'll see you guys in my next video

Keyara A.: I prefer braidless sewin microlinks not itip microlinks to clarify the end of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luJ8o2x1jwI&feature=youtu.be I personally decided right now that I actually hate itips! 1. They are thin Idc what anybody says (I’ve only seen a few full installs) 2. It literally takes me 6-8 hours 3. I have to move so slow when blow drying and straightening so I don’t pull to hard on the root 4. I did this install incorrectly as stated several times in the video. That’s why they were hurting, bc hair strands were getting caught, but it’s hard not to get hair in another bead. 5. You can pull out strands easily during styling ** 6. I forgot to add that when straightening these, if the heat reaches the keratin bond it can melt even if you don't go up that high **7. People always seem to show the hair in a ponytail or bun, rarely showing the front styled down bone straight. That will tell you how the install REALLY looks. Pros I make them look so good   Do you want itip extensions? Should I still offer them to clients who likes natural density installs? How was your itip experience if you had them?

BRELAINEY: Great job - as for the blonde install, this could’ve easily been achieved with using proper horseshoe placement, proper layering of wefts and itips, the right amount of hair and color matched correctly! I do this with all my clients at the salon

Miss Yum Yum La’Alacia Sessions: You did great and you were on point I’ve installed itips on myself because I wanted to train my natural hair and give it a more fuller look. I don’t think you should give up once you keep doing them you’ll get faster like all parts of the trade. I personally love the itips and I loss less hair than when I do a sewing. Great job

Travis union 803: Great install and I'm glad u explained tht they are not equivalent to the fullness of a sew in , or braidless sew in. Even the tips about not putting the beads too close to the scalp and making sure that your install is neat so that hair would not be pulling from other places because those are things that people do not take into consideration especially if they're just doing look and see from youtube and then trying them out and not understanding the fundamentals of this technique on a friend, improper installation definitely can lead to damaging the hair hair loss and being very uncomfortable

Shy Shy: If I had relaxed hair I’d totally get something like this

Marcia Holmes: It's crazy that this method is coming back. We used to do this in the early 2000s

Noturmomma: I love love love your commentary because you are telling the truth with your disclaimer. Don’t come expecting a lace front wig look because this is a natural look hair style

deamber dixon: I’m so glad you addressed the fact that your hair may be too thick to blind in cause whew Chile I just put mine in two days ago and it took me FOREVER to figure out how to blend my hair with the links I just ended up trimming my ends of my leaveout and added more closer to my hair line cause it was just literally sitting on top and I got kinky straight so you can imagine lol

Tiffany Steward Benn: Wow, thank you. You did a very detailed and descriptive breakdown on micro links. It gave me something to think about because I want this done but the maintenance and washing maybe difficult. I'll subscribe and keep checking it out before I decide.

Imani Gregory: This was very informative thank you! I’m a hairy and I’m about to try the prelooped microlinks and do my first video. I have a Mohawk and I want the Lenny and versatility for when I work so I can pull them up. Thanks for this vid

Chakeitha Thornton: I currently have itips (kinky straight texture to blend with my natural hair) — one of my fears is my own hair breaking off with one of the Itips . Thanks for this video!

Jade Smith: It definitely looks natural but I wouldn't want to risk pulling my hair out when maintaining it. The client has some bomb lashes on though!

* JOHNSONS: I had this style 1 time before but mines was curly with my natural hair, easier to blend and beautiful. I will get this again

Jbelovedson: Getting two different length should help with the not blending in issue. The top part should be the shorter extension. That way it blends in with the natural hair. The lower can be longer. The two extensions lengths shouldn’t be drastically different in length. The layered effect looks more natural.

Satara Mc: You made that look so easy, but I bet it isn't. Great job, it looks nice, and l learned something new today!

Sherl Davis: Very informative video, thanks for honest pros and cons.

Ashayla Sherry: If the person gets a texture exactly like their hair it is easier to blend and manage.

Khrys Monet: VERY VERY VERY detailed! Thank you! This was so helpful!

Rapcrush Rapcrush: Omg girl u keeping it real cause these beautician be tryna make it seem like if your hair thick it’s gone blend good

Dimples Samuels: This was introduced in the early 80s but became unpopular due to hair breakage and impossible to wash the hair properly.

Leslie Avalos: Super super informative thank you. It was a bit difficult trying to keep the right side of phone up since it kept changing but it wasn’t a big deal lol

Stantara Slays: This looks so beautiful ! I’m thinking about getting it done for college but I’m worried it may pull my hair. I’m trying to grow my hair out and would love if someone could advice me on hairstyles that look like this that I could do that also protects and grows my natural hair please ✨

Bronxgirl67 M: Looks really nice, it looks nice both out and ponytail

Ayana Allen: I love everything about this video and Congratulations young lady!!!!!

ManiOnTheBeat: I didn’t like the braidless install. It weighed my real hair down and ALOT of it fell out when I took it out. I love a natural install, would you recommend this instead or do you think it will do the same to my hair?

Iniyah Murphy: Love your honesty about the service.

Dawann Williams: Thank you for your honest review. I was thinking about getting these with my natural thick 4C hair. Doesn’t seem like it would work well without a perm

Ashley Lamar: You did an amazing job!!!!

Classy Curvy Tv: Thank you for this video!! I’m getting these next week and I’m so excited

Elsa Padilla: I think the hair is super full depending on what hair extensions brand you use but it’s super costly to the client - what do you think of hot fusion extensions on natural textured hair?

Temier Freeman: I have braidless microlinks and love them. My appointment was only 3 hours and it looks and feels natural.

Gave me cookie Got You Cookie: How long would you say this lasts? Compared to a traditional sew in?

Latasha Harris: I did the Microlinks on my natural hair and it was never the same. I have Sisterlocks now and I have permanent heat damage from the Microlinks

Courtney Michelle TV: 1.Try MicroWefts 2. It’s less time then ITips 3. You do have to be careful 4. They should NOT hurt. Period.

Lover Gal: very informative and good visuals!!! thank you !! currently deciding my next hair style lol

Lafamosadancinhairstylemusic modeler: I like this video I truly do. My co-worker sent me a link to this YouTube page and as soon as I clicked on this page. I'm looking by observing what she does and how she explains what she do and does .

~Daphne Amy's World~!: Amazing the explanation for those who don't. Know about this amazing job❤

TatyanaThelisa: You did this so bomb !!!

R Faye Smith: Thanks for the information!!!! I have found that ANTI SNAP by Paul Mitchell on the clients just wash hair and then apply to the extension...WOW.... way more life time of the hair and when you take the extensions out it will blow the clients mind how gr8 thier hair is

jaislay: My install looked sooo good like the first few days after that I ended up just wearing my hair up ALLLLL the time. But Do you think using a different texture of hair would make a difference? I want to get them again

Shan Hamilton: Beautiful!!! now I’m bout to do some lol

DivinelyBlessedK: Where did you purchase your tools for the install? Thanks

April Johnson-Hazel: Thank you for your honesty!!!! Guess this won’t work for me since I’m natural with thin edges.

Charli Dee: I just relaxed my natural hair after 7 yrs and looking to get these

A S: House of Hair UK does a ton of braidless weave and i tip installs. A lot of the time they do a mixture of both, which is what I have to do with my kinky curly micro links; I'm gonna have to use i tips toward the front and edges, I did the back with braidless weave. Unfortunately, I thought I was gonna do braidless the whole install, so I have given myself a damn mullet lmao. My keratin glue gets here on Tues, so I'll be making my i tips then. But until then, I'm putting my hair in a low bun under my wig when I need to leave.

Ezaria Leshay: How many itips did you use for this install?

AngieTv Ent.: What’s the pricing of micro links Hoe do you go about charging your customers or clients ?

Stefani Quarles: Really nice job.

Janay Williams: I can’t wait to get mine I dnt have 4c hair my hair is on the more straighter side but it’s beautiful on 4c hair you don’t need a relaxer guys

KiKi D: Thanks for the honest review

Noura Cisse: So this doesn’t damage the real hair? Like when it’s time to remove them , how do you do

I LOVE LONDON: Why do all the talented stylist never stay in my city

D.Chris-Cherie: I got micro links braid less thread less.... Loved it til it was, time to blow dry and wash and tighten. It broke my hair off ... I feel stylist are still doing the hair like a sew in pulling and yankin nope! Hated it

Lia Upchurch: My bf plays in my hair constantly it’s 18 inches but it’s 3c so it’s hard in GA the humidity is serious. Will the hair be obviously different after a short period of time?!
