Diy Hand-Tied Extensions (Amazing Beauty Hair)

In this video I decided to install hand tied extensions on myself. This is a very tedious job to do, but I’m happy with the results.

Hey, what's up guys, it's your girl sheri, as you guys can see. I have some wonderful long walks today, so today, i'm going to share with you guys how i was able to install these hand-tied wefts, so amazing beauty, hair was nice enough to send out a few sets of these extensions for me to install on my own. So i want to say thank you to them, so basically they sent me three sets of the bundle, so one set comes with three bundles of extensions, and each set is about 50 grams of extension, so that is really not enough hair to have to make a Full head of hair, so you would need to have at least two to three sets. So that's basically what they sent me and they sent me three sets like i've mentioned already and um you'll see in this video, how i was able to combine them to make them into like one full um track. This is my very first time trying out hand-tied extensions i've seen people do it like. I said i work at a salon, so i've seen some some of my fellow hairstyling colleagues saw them on some clients. I'Ve never personally done them on anyone, but myself. So this is a lot more difficult to do than the clip-ins and tape-ins. This is a lot more work because you're going to have to be sewing them onto your hair. So it was a challenge for me, but i made it and i'm completely happy with how everything turned out. So without further ado, i'm going to share with you guys how i installed these wonderful babies into my hair. So here are the bundles of wefts that i have, i got three sets and each set has three pieces and each set is 50 grams of extensions, so i will be sewing each set together to make one full weft. These extensions are 20 inches in length and the rest of the info on these extensions will be down in the description box to sew these wefts. Together, i'm going to be using this thread and needle weaving combo this i purchased off of amazon and to help with the installation. I bought this hair extension kit, which comes with a pair of pliers, the micro silicone line, beads a loop tool. It also came with some alligator clips and tail combs and again this was all bought off of amazon and the link will be down in my description box before sewing the wefts together, i'm going to measure the width that i needed to be for the first bottom Track after measuring i'm going to fold the end in and clip it down, this will all be sewn together later on. Now i'm taking the next weft and placing it on top of the first one just to measure so before sewing all three tracks. Together, i'm just going to sew the folded end of the first weft. I'M going to quickly show you the sewing method that i'm going to use to sew the tracks together, i'm going to be doing a lock stitch. So after pulling the thread into the needle, i took the ends together and made a knot, so i'm basically going to pass the needle through the hair, extensions and pull it all the way. Until the knot is at the end, then i'm going to feed the needle through the loop of the thread and pull it to secure and lock to continue with this stitch, i'm going to make an upside down. U with the thread, this will act as the loop. Now i'm going to repeat this by passing the needle through the extensions and then in between the loop thread and pull to lock. Now, i'm just going to once again repeat that step until i reach the end and now for the installation part, i'm first going to section the bottom layer of my hair into a horse shoe part and i'm going to bring the back into a lower u-shape. So these are the extensions all toned and washed and ready to install before i do that, i need to measure the track, so i know where to place the first micro bead i sectioned the first layer to start just behind my ears. I want to leave some hair at the front of the hairline so that if i pull my hair back, you won't see the extensions. The next step is to take the micro beads and place about 10 of them to start onto the loop tool. So again, i'm going to measure the starting point of these extensions by using a clip so now that i've determined my starting point, it's time to put the beads on so to do so, pull a thin strand of hair through the loop tool then grab one of The beads push it up and pull the loop tool down and then take the pliers to press the bead in place grab hold of the bead with the pliers push it up curve down and press by curving the bead down. It will sit nicely against your head without it feeling uncomfortable next, i'm going to grab a thin slice of hair about half an inch and then grab a very small section of hair from the first bead, and i'm going to combine that into the next bead. By combining hair from the previous bead into the next bead, it's going to create that connection that i'm going to use to make a base to sew in my wefts. Normally, this is not how you're supposed to do it professionally. You would use the thread to connect with the beads, but since i'm doing it on my own hair, this is the shortcut i need to take. So i'm going to continue this method until i reach the other end. Once i've completed installing the beads it's time for the main show sewing the extensions on i'm going to make sure to line the end of the weft to the first bead and then i'm going to use a clip to hold it in place. So now i'm going to continue clipping it in place. Unfortunately, as i reach the other end, it's a bit too long, but don't fear i'm just going to fold the ends in until it's the same length as where the bead is and then clip that in place to sew this track in i'll, be using the lock Stitch method: first, i'm going to pass it through the base i created with the beads and hair and then pass it through the extension once i've pulled the needle and thread almost through i'm going to pull the needle through the thread loop to lock and secure it. So same thing create an upside down: u, with the thread, pull the needle through the hair and base keep pulling to lock and secure. Now, i'm just trying to create a double knot to lock the thread into place and that's how i installed the first track. So i have two more tracks installed, which i will do off-camera, since the method is the exact same. So this is what it looks like all done and installed now it's time for me to just trim it and give it a fresh cut. So this is my before hair, and here is the amazing, after results, so full and so luscious. I absolutely love it. It feels great to have long hair once again - and here i just want to show you what the tracks look like, underneath it's nothing close to perfection, but hey it's good enough for me. I hope you guys enjoyed that um. I hope it wasn't too confusing for you guys at all, if anything did not make sense with my explanation, um just send me a message and i will try to explain it in further detail for you guys, so i tried not to make the explanations too technical. So i tried to just keep it very basic so that it's easier to understand, but basically this is just how i did it on myself um. I just wanted to share with you guys um how i do my own hair, basically um, just because i felt like i just needed something different to do being on lockdown once again, but i hope you guys did enjoy this and i'll honestly. It took me about close to six hours to complete everything, although it doesn't show in the video, but i basically put everything down to make it look quick, but it took me about six hours to finish, sewing the tracks and then installing them on my head itself. But you know i'm here and i'm happy so if you guys enjoyed this, please hit that subscribe button, if you guys are not already and also check me out on my instagram account, which is sherry anne mobile other than that, i will see you guys in my Next, video

Jess L: Wow you did awesome! Thank you for the detailed video it really helps. I'm putting my own in after one year of getting them done professionally. So far I have dyed the wefts, and will be seeing them togther. My hubby already installed the beads and will be sewing them in for me!

kathi hill: Great job! I did my first set myself last month. I work in an office so I bought cheap sally beauty wefts because they were the perfect color and I didn’t want to waste my money with the expensive wefts. My only problem is that my hair is so fine and the weft tops are very thick compared to the ones you used. But my hair came out awesome! When these wefts are worn out I will invest in a more expensive set!

Xahvia Braun: You did a great job considering it was on your our head. Looks fabulous & that color is very complimentary on you.

Greenville Beauty Room: How many times did you thread through each bead ?

erika sandoval: Wow... lovely done señorita

A C: How long did it take you to do this?

Casey Medlyn: Where did all 3 tracks get installed. Only saw the first one. Do you just gradually go up? Any on the sides?

Caitlin McHugh: So did you do 2 rows with 3 wefts each?

Andrea Sanchez: Omg I need extensions so bad

Bri Barbiana: Bomb

Eirika Neal: I'd like to see the back

Onica Paige: Are you happy with the brand

M Zee: NOTHING made sense
