Microlinks Q&A With Aiish'A (Professional Hairstylist) - Answering All Of Your Hair Questions!

I am here at mint beauty bar in toronto and i'm here with aisha and she's gon na answer. Some of your questions, my micro lens videos, have been doing really really well and you guys have so many questions and i'm sorry that, like i don't really know the answers to them, because i don't think nothing about hair at all. But i wanted that to be in this video, so she can answer some of your questions, trying to think of some of the questions that people have asked um. So i know a lot of people ask about like maintenance. So actually, let's start by just saying like what are micro links and what are like the benefits of them. I guess my fair lady. It'S an individual method. Instead of having braids, you are going to be using beads okay, so it prevents pulling nice and flat, which um of allows are not obviously into yeah neat and clean hair. It'S all about beets and no braiding sometimes no thread, but in this case we are using the thread um. So there's three different ways of putting them in okay right and it's very versatile too right. Yes, it is, you can pretty much do anything with it. You can do it halfway down, you can do it all in one high ponytail, a low, ponytail, very, very versatile. It doesn't show anything. Sharks is really hard to find it when you blend it in really nicely yeah, and she really does what's the difference between microlinks. Without like a left and with a weft, so there's individuals, which is just um a lot of other stylists use them as diffusion for um softer people with softer hair. They use fusion for our texture and it's. This method is not just for our textures every texture, but for this is basically our fusion. The individual ones is where we're not putting the heat, and you could place it anywhere on your head to make it have more volume, okay and as for the wax, it gives a lot of volume where you kind of just put it within the center area of Your head, okay, so it gives you volume on the top and not in the middle of the head and again you can still put it up. However, you want how low you want, and if you want to do braid, you can still do a braid, but obviously with the tracks. You have to find ways to kind of like hide it individual ones. Obviously you can put it. However, you want and style. However, you, like my hair, it's really fragile so like to put the wefts with it. It really helps to support my hair so that it's not like tugging on my hair, so much right and like for me. That was perfect. I feel like i don't know. If my hair could even withstand just the individuals, do you think so because she doesn't can, but we it's not going to be as full and if you want it, full we're going to be using a lot of hair. The individual ones are actually more um. Lighter. Are for the hair? That'S why we tend to keep the individual ones for anyone that has the left. We tend to put them here, because they're so much lighter it's not going to be as heavy, even though you're putting in more hair. It'S still going to be feeling light on your head. The wefts obviously have the weft on it due to um how they're made it's a lot heavier okay, so the wefts are more so for like just giving me more like volume, because my hair is a little bit like, for example, thinner at the front yeah. So we're gon na make sure we put the individuals at the front uh, okay. This is a common question that i get is like: how much is it so? The range for the individuals, starting is 1400 and that's with the hair, but if you want the rose of the wax it's 60 dollars per roll now, with 60 per roll does not include hair, but the individuals which is the 1400. It does include hair, which is um 200 grams. That'S really good, not a lot of other places will include the hair right, like you guys do yeah. I'Ve never heard of that. So that's why i'm like that's really cool that the hair is included in the price. Yes, we only use um, we prefer to use only our hair, yeah, indian hair and some people bring other hair. It tends to be a lot thinner and they don't get the look that we promised them that big body look whatever. It looks like trying to go, for we just wanted to look really good yeah and, like you guys, are always complimenting my hair and it's from the beauty bar and it's super silky. It doesn't shed it's like nice and thick very soft, like it's honestly. The best hair i've ever tried in my entire life. So honestly, i'm really happy that it's included in the price. That'S really like helpful for a lot of people. If you're looking to get your hair done, another thing is maintenance, so a lot of you are asking about maintenance like how often are you supposed to get a touch up and like how does it work once a month just so, we can see how the extensions Are doing and once a month sometimes it all, we always include a wash. We want to make sure that the extensions are doing good for you so because some people it's hard to wash hair with extensions for any type of extensions and whatever extensions you do with sewing it's hard to wash right in there. So we tend to include a wash with our maintenance, which is every three weeks the hair does stay in for as long as just as long as eight months, eight months wow, that's amazing, okay and then, when you come in to do touch-ups it's. How much is that range? Usually, it all depends on which method, but the starting price that we have. It is 180.. It would be um 180 per month, depending on what method to use yeah and then in terms of like washing your hair and stuff. Like are you able to wash it yep your you can wash your hair. However, you like, but just like any extension method that you get. You don't want to wash your hair too much yeah. You want to loosen it. It'Ll loosen it and that's just kind of like a waste of money yeah i say just wash it once a week see, and i don't even do that you guys i will usually wash it like within the month. I think i wash it like once like maybe like in the middle of the month once a week. It'S totally fine if you wash your hair, because there's people that go to the gym. This method is good for people to go to gym. So i obviously know that they're going to end up, probably watching her a little more often, but also, if you're going to do that, we always say at least every other week come see us at least make sure that the methods are great like they're not moving. Come in once a week, if you're going to be the type of person, that's original, and then you feel like washing and like check up on it and whatnot. Yes, if you already know that your hair is not totally good for water every single day, don't do it. So it's just based on like how you, like your usual washing schedule, yeah, but at least once within that month, yeah, okay, yeah, a lot of people were asking about like different textures like can they find textures that match like, for example, our natural hair, yeah yeah? Okay, yes, we have um all different types of texture. This is why we always ask clients to come in for clowns, so so that we can kind of determine what is what you're going for and what is good for you um. We do have all different types of hair textures that we can always show them. Okay, that's good! So for those of you that were asking about um hair textures that like kind of similar to mine um, so that you don't have to straighten it and stuff like that, there are some out there and um beauty where it has some so definitely check out. My beauty bar their website and their instagram account everything will be down below for you guys, um, i'm trying to give any some other questions. So how long does your hair last our hair, can last up to two years wow with this hair and that can also go for the individual pieces. They could also be reused, like i said some people leave it in for eight months. So two years you can literally do a lot with this hair. You just take care of it right with good care, yeah and the type we always recommend products that you can use so that your hair stays in good, um, good condition before you leave or after your appointment. We will either send you an email, letting you know what you have to do with when you're new to the microlinks um lifestyle, we'll send you a kind of products, you should kind of go. Look for anything that basically has to do with microlinks. We make sure we let you know before you leave okay yeah. They also sell a lot of the products too. So, like i said, check out the website. How long does it take to install so 200 grams could take about individual ones? You could take about two. An hour and 40 minutes that would include um a wash and the wax could take one hour. What other services do desmond beauty bar offer? We have every service that has to do with extensions, which is a stolen, a traditional sew-in. We have our frontal our lake application, so everything that we do with extensions. We tend to do it and we also do color services, but we are only doing that.
