I’m very excited about my hair journey and all that’s to come with this hair color experience, that being said...I STRAIGHTENED MY HAIR I can’t believe it either, but it was so much fun! Okay, y'all before i get started into this video, i want y'all to know that it's lee natural here back with another video and i am so excited to let y'all know that i am going to be partnering with duvall. I think it's called default. Okay, they sent me this impulse professional flat iron, and i am so excited to try it. Thank you so much duval for sending me this and letting me try it to let you guys know how this product works and y'all know. I have not flat ironed. My hair, in a very long time, so i definitely wanted to do this. Look at this box. This is beautiful. The way they have this set up and open, look at that it clamps and opens up. This is beautiful. Okay, so i am working also with chi. Today i am using this to do the um the whole process i'll be blowing out my hair using my soft brush, because i don't know where my round brush is so i'm just going to use this soft brush to blow out my hair, and this is the Silk, the infusion um, silk, reconstructing reconstructing complex. I hate when i feel like i can't read when i'm on the camera. It makes me feel stupid. I ain't stupid. Okay, anyway, um apply, apply a small amount onto the palm of your hands and work evenly throughout the hair, leave in and proceed with styling. So this i'll put some of my hands put it all over my hair and then i'm gon na start blowing out my hair, i'm gon na come back in a little bit when i got some clothes on, because your girl just got out the shower, and i Don'T need y'all, seeing my body y'all nosy, stop doing that. You'Re in my business. Don'T do that? Okay, so your girl just want a dress. Okay, little black dress! You know what i'm saying you can't see the whole thing, but i am here i'm putting down a little bit so y'all y'all want to see a little slim waist sight, you're gon na get a good anyway. I also purchased me a new hair dryer thanks to husband. Thank you 200 watts, so your girl gets very hot okay. I am very excited about this. I have my brush my brush and then i have this head right here. I know i'm really good at using this on other people, i'm not good at doing it on myself, because of course you got ta, you know do it yourself or whatever, i'm not good at doing it myself, but i am so good at doing the round brush Method on other people, i also have this comb. Oh the comb, not in here, so i can't show you. I don't know what it said. Where is the comb? No, i want to show you the comb, i'm going to go, get the comb i'll, show you, okay. I got it for y'all. This is the piece that i was telling y'all about. Um i had to go downstairs and get it yeah. I see my girls in the background. I am doing a wig giveaway today, so i don't know when i'm gon na get this video uploaded. Maybe i can get it uploaded today, probably not because today is my anniversary, happy anniversary to me and my husband, 11 years together, two years mary. Oh i think i put too much so i'm pouring some back. Okay, i poured a good bit, but so when i'm blow drying my hair, these clips, i'm gon na, have these available on the website and on my um, my amazon shop, soon i'll, let y'all see these are matte and they are super soft, no snag. No anything is super comfortable and they push they do a lot. I'M gon na put these up for y'all soon, so y'all can get some and then i also have these clamps, but i like these way better um y'all. I just want to say straight up. This is literally the best blow dryer. I'Ve ever had husband if it wasn't for his coins. I would not have this blow dryer. Okay, thank you to my husband, even though it's affordable, but i'm gon na leave, the link below so y'all can get y'all. One too y'all need to go get one. This. This thing is bomb, it's so bomb and then we're gon na put the duvall with it, and we literally we're just about to have a party okay, zuma elite. Oh okay, let me stop playing and it's so amazing on my hair, like it doesn't snag my hair. It'S like perfect: these bristles are amazing, they don't break, but they are still like they move, but they're still very stiff, like this is perfect for my hair, but like that this this this thing is bomb. It'S so bomb y'all see i'm going back and forth with the the this one, this nozzle here and the brush the bristle, because my hair is thick. So i have to use these teeth regardless, but i do this to smooth out my roots and my edges and everything so that it's all slick once i start um flattering so i take the brush. I'M gon na show y'all up close. How i do it because i know in the back y'all couldn't see it - i'm actually damp this a little bit because it's better when it's a little damp when it's dry, like that, it doesn't get as straight as it can so just damp that up like that. Okay, now this is where the round brush come in. If your brush is not round, it's not easy to do this part, let me just go to the palm see i need my round brush. I think it's hot. When you got the round brush you twirl and pull, this is not like that. It'S literally just straight flat, so it's not going to do that. So that's why i keep going back to the comb. If y'all wonder why. I can't you see so make sure you brush the edges. Dang, i'm probably gon na have to cut my hair because it's uneven but not worried about that right now, um for one. I want to explain that i had postpartum shedding. I just had a baby. If you don't know and you're new to the channel, my edges were gone. Sis when you have a baby, your edges, you you deal with postpartum, shedding everybody deals with it differently, some deal with it severely. I had it pretty severely, so my edges are coming back. So you'll see these hairs in the front are shorter. They are not due to the color or anything i just want to. Let y'all know, because when people color their hair, people have a lot to say the edges are not short because of color. It'S because postpartum shading clear that up real, quick, okay, your girl has got her hair all blow dried, as you can see. Okay, once i'm all done, i like to hit my whole head with a cool shot. You can literally put it on by pushing zero. It'S really cool with the zero also, but i'm gon na press the cool side. The cool shot also tells me. If i have any hair, that's still wet. I know one thing: i did not color the entire back of my head, which is fine. I don't care. I don't know if i can keep up. This is a lot of work. Okay, all around i got the hair um blow-dried, so i'm about to start heating up this flat iron, i'm gon na unbox it for y'all, really quick. So i already showed y'all how it kind of flips open it. Has this tab right here? Lift it up, and it comes like this once you open, it comes out like this bam and honey is wrapped up. Take her out, probably don't need to trim afterwards. This is the flat iron, that's how it looks. It has a cute flower right there, duval, okay and i am going to plug her up. You can cut it on here as the power button and it has settings here. I am going to be flat. Ironing on i'm so scared, i'm going to do 410. It'S been a while, but i want it to be sleek. So i'm just gon na do 410. I'M not gon na do the 450. The 450 might make my white looking color a little bit faded or something once the heat touches it. I noticed that it does that, so i'm not gon na do that. Um! Okay, when you want to heat her up, you keep pressing until you get to the desired temperature, as you can see, so i'm gon na go up all the way to 14. and in the middle it has a light. You see that i have a comb that i'm going to be doing the chase method with and when you're doing the chase method you're basically hold on. Okay, so got the baby together. Husband got his son, so he woke up from a nap, oh honey. It'S hot she's ready. This already has the heat protector in it from the way my hair feels it feels protected. I don't know where my glove is. I usually use a glove because the hair gets hot and then my hands get kind of damp and sweaty. I hot you know i get hot sweaty, i'm going to be doing the chase method when i flat iron and that's when you basically, while you're flat ironing you're chasing the hair with the comb. I don't know. I see some people go like this in chase and then i see some people go like this and chase you can do it either way either way the comb is still gon na be pulling the hair making sure it's straight. I got my sections, my sectionals, my things right here, so i'm just gon na go ahead and get started. I'M gon na start at the back and i'll work. My way to the front. If you want, you can go ahead and pick how you want your hair parted. I don't know what i want to do or if i just want to do, because i'm not used to a middle part, so i might try middle part with it and then like. I can do this and all that i don't know we'll see all right. Okay, look: i can't focus from the back, so i'm gon na come back and show y'all me doing the front instead, because i got ta focus with the back. I need to trim really badly but um. I hate these golden roots, but my husband didn't want to do his next list, so i say you know what we're gon na be twins on our anniversary, i'll rock the golden roots with you, so i bleached mines and i'm gon na leave them like this. Until we both get our hair done twins, he hates this code. I do too, but it doesn't matter because i won't look crazy by myself. Yeah this flat iron is the truth. You see this. I do have to add some moisture because my hair is thick and it's blonde, so i have to add some moisture, but so far look at these results. 10 out of 10 10. Let me calm down because i'm getting excited. Thank you. I think the issue for my ends is: i need a trim, so you see these split ends. Those has to get cut, so i'm most likely just going to give myself a haircut which i'm always fine with cutting my hair. Like i might my issue, is i don't like twa? I am happy happy happy. Oh my goodness, everyone keeps telling me i should be storm for halloween because of my hair. What i love about this flat iron is that i can literally, like accidentally, pick something else up and it just like it's not overdoing it like it's amazing i so wish i had colored my the front of my hair first, because this yellow under here is way Better than this that i have up here, this golden color is so gold right here. Everything else is more beige. So for these i have a little flat iron for those, because i can't reach them with this. I'M scared to burn myself. I hate burning my skin. I can't be one of those girls who just walks around with a burn mark from a flat iron. I just can't so i'll get it. Let me try yeah as close as i can get as far as i'm gon na go okay, so we just had some cut off so um. I think all flat iron to do that. Just i guess it's a timely thing, but your girl got a lot of hair, so it's gon na take me a lot longer than what they think with the timer, because they don't want you to leave it on. Leave it running so it cuts off automatically make sure you pay attention to that so that you can know that you're not just not flattering anything, because i was wondering why my ends were not getting shot immediately with the heat it was off and i don't even Know how long it's very smooth on the hair too? It is like amazing, it literally glides on my hair. I love that. Also this flat iron has been like a breeze. It'S been making me like get it done quicker. This is literally the quickest i've been to the front of my head mind you. I'Ve had to stop a couple of times, because my kids are doing virtual school, but this is literally the fastest. I'Ve done my hair like straightened it ever on my own, and that's amazing. This thing is making it so easy for me to do it on my own salon didn't even need to waste my money at the salon. Thank god, honestly, i kept telling myself i wanted to go. I wanted to go because i did not want to have to do this myself and i thought it wasn't going to turn out good, but my husband was like just do it just try to do it. Whatever you need to go, get, let's go get it so we went and got the stuff and now look at me literally. The salon would have gave me this same. Look i already know this is the straightest my hair will get like it doesn't get any straighter. So they would have did the same thing, but at the same time took my money and they probably would not have used heat protectant. So shout out to me and husband for not wasting no money shout out to this flat iron for saving me money from even going to the hair salon. This flat iron is the bomb look at that whoa whoa. Never on my own have i ever gotten my hair, this straight, never wow wow! I am shocked at these results. Using this flat iron y'all is like it literally made everything so fast. For me, this flat iron, this blow dryer. I highly recommend getting a very hot blow dryer so that you can get good results, make sure your blow dryer can get really hot and make sure you got a heat protectant, of course, because you don't want to burn your hair, but man this. Oh, this thing is no joke. Look at this. I'M literally finished something like this usually takes me about four hours. I know it hasn't been four hours and i was worried about that. That'S why i kept telling him like i'm about to just go to the salon, because i don't want to be wasting time. He was like yeah, you got, you know it takes forever. When you do it yourself, so you might say get somebody else to do it. Now man, i was like you know what this flat iron: it's going to do it for me. I should do it and look at me now. Look at me now. I'M almost done! I'M so excited, i'm so excited, i'm so happy, i'm so excited! Oh my gosh. I'M gon na call my husband in here, so he can see like the results in a minute he's gon na look like it look like you went to the salon when he sees this he's gon na be so shocked. He likes when i get my hair straight, but he loves natural hair. He like natural, but he likes when i wear my hair straight too, like oh this. This looks good, okay, last piece, wow y'all. This thing is bomb, i'm literally so close to cutting bangs. If you don't know, i have not used heat on my hair in a year, so this is my one year, no heat one year, no heat achievement. Wow! It'S super look at this. It'S very silky, so once i'm done doing that, i go in with my oil. All the time i just use a little dime size amount of this, probably not even a dime like a little bit smaller than the dime. I put this on there like that. Much don't use a lot, it's very thin, very light, but you don't need a lot. I usually do that after i trim, but i'm still deciding when i'm going to trim it. Hot Look Studio: Always do the comb *before* the iron. Follow the comb with the iron RIGHT behind it as you pull to the very ends. I find this smooths out my crinkly ends perfectly without making more than 2 or 3 passes. Keep that iron almost touching the comb, they can literally be side by side. Get you a heat resistant comb and go off sis!!

Shania Themen: Girl your hair looks good. I haven’t used heat on my hair since October of last year. My hair has retained so much length and is already past waist length. In January it wasn’t even reaching my waist ! My hair looks fuller and healthier. I still have little pieces of heat damage put it has grown out tremendously, I used to get my hair straightened 2 times a year and I don’t get heat damage easily, that was my hair stylist her fault , she was talking and looked away and I saw smoke and I yelled I already know I would get heat damage. I used to trim my hair 2 times a year but I get split ends very fast and single strand knots and I wasn’t retaining as much length and moisture and now my aunt trims my hair 4 times a year and braids it into a French braid without fake hair. I really want to use olaplex to give my hair that extra boost, I also started using aryuveda treatments and oiling my scalp with hair growth co hair oil, taking hair supplements and having a good hair regimen and I always pre poo and I don’t co wash.

This will help keep your hair strong and rebuild the protein bonds broken down from the dying process. Also, if they do straighten your hair request that they dust your ends rather than trim them so that you retain your length. And, they make 1/4 and 1/2 inch flat irons that allow you to get close to your edges without burning yourself. John Frieda has a blonde shampoo and conditioner that helps to maintain your color. No heat for a year is a good idea especially for hair that’s colored. Some people can dye their hair and have no trouble with split ends. Love the color and the blow dryer!

I was doing the comb chasing the flat iron first, and noticed the hair still felt kinky, and knotty. But when I did the flat iron chasing the comb, it was silky, no kinks, no knots, just straight hair
