Trying Kinky Clip In Extensions On My Short 4C Hair!

It's part 3 in my mini series, where I will be trying some kinky clip in hair extensions on my short 4c hair (and yes this video should've been posted last week! ). This is my first time giving this a go and it was absolutely lovely to see what my hair could look like when it gets longer!

Let me know what you think in the comments and don't forget to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!

DISCLAIMER: I found that the kinky extensions matted up a lot as the night went on so i didn't love this texture in the end! I would absolutely like to try a looser wave of extensions and see if the matting can be avoided.

Love Nucchi xx

I'M really excited i'm just going to dry. Oh, i don't know if i should do middle part. That looks weird. I have hair. That was smart of me. I don't have the option of this failing today. I miss my length. I'M all saying i can't wait to have long hair and why not fake it till you make it. You know hello and welcome back to my channel okay, so this is now part three of my little series that i ended up doing so. A little recap part one: i did a clay mask on my hair, which is amazing part two. I tried a wash and go, which was, i don't know you guys can make up your own mind on that. I actually ended up washing all the gel out, and this is my hair without the whole gel stuff in it, and now i'm going to be trying out some kinky hair extensions, i got from curls girls yeah. I'M just really excited to see how this works. With my hair, i already feel like it is slightly lighter than my hair, but hopefully you can't see so yeah, let's just get straight into the video, so i'm just gon na start by unraveling them and seeing how this works. I'Ve never ever ever tried clippings before. Okay, so i've got two pieces of hair this length and then, if i unravel some more, these are slightly shorter and i've got another two of this length and then what's this i'm guessing this is going to be even shorter yeah and these are even shorter. So maybe these will go like at the very back of my head and i've got four of these little short ones so maybe like to put in i don't know, i'm really excited. Let me just lay this all out on the floor, so you can see okay, so i've got two of this length which have two clips in them two of this length, which have three clips in them. I'Ve got two of this length which has five clips on them, and then i've got two of these which have four okay. So i quite like the fact: that's like that, there's a ready kind of section for you, so i think this would go in like the middle of my head. I don't know okay, so i'm just going to give this a little wash. I want to see how this coats in water, if the curls pop a little bit more okay, so i've just shampooed and conditioned the hair, and it looks so good. The curls are really popping i'm just going to dry. Oh i'm just going to try and dry it very gently with my microfiber towel and that's it that's the hair, but it's really really good. So i'm just gon na leave those to finish drying by air and i'm gon na prep, my hair. So i actually want to tuck in the majority of my hair, almost like how you would, when you do a? U part, i'm gon na leave some of my hair out and plant the rest back yeah. I just feel like that's the best way to do it. I think i'm gon na do a side part. The thing is, i'm a bit worried because i know my hair is not that long. So, if i did like a side part, would it be able to cover that's my concern? This is definitely not my hair color. By the way this is like brown. I don't know if i should do middle part. That looks weird. I'M going to do side, part. Okay, so the first thing i've done is i've just sectioned off the parts i'm going to leave, that which is there here and there and then now, i'm just going to do like big braids going down like it's, not that deep, maybe like four or five like Cornrows going down, i just feel like it'll, be easier to clap my hair. If i blow dry it, so i'm just going to go ahead and do that now so to blow dry it i'm just going to wet each section, i'm just going to apply some heat protector and i like to use the chi keratin mist and i'm also going To use some of this conditioning hair dress, i'm not going to bore you guys with showing you me blow, throwing my hair, i'm just going to go and do the off camera and then come back. So i just blurred over my hair. This is what it's looking like look at, that this is just so much easier to work with when my hair's blow dried. So now i'm just going to do a camera or cornrow. However, you pronounce it, i don't want to do it too tight. I want to be able to get the clips in so i'm trying to do this kind of loose. I don't know what it is about this week, but this week i've just not been having the best time of my hair and it's just kind of made me not dislike it, but this week i've just not been loving my hair, basically i'm just longing for the Day when my hair gets a bit longer - and i can do more things a bit easier to be honest - i do know a few hairstyles. I have tried quite a few things out, but everything that i've been trying out is quite labor-intensive, like even what i'm doing now just takes a long time, whereas when i was relaxed you know, if i didn't feel like doing my hair one day, it wasn't really A big problem i just throw it up in a bun or i don't know, yeah really straight up in a bun put it in a ponytail. So that's like one thing, that's kind of got to me this week, because if i don't do my hair, it's a problem like i actually always have to do something to my hair and it always takes like a bit of time. So i'm all braided up. I'Ve got one two three four. Let me turn around very loosely braided, i'm just gon na get a hairband and put this in a little bun like that, and that feels comfortable and then now i'm sort of stopping the clips in yeah. Okay. So, at the very back, i'm gon na use this one, which has got the three clips. Oh no, not this one! That'S the three clips yeah, i'm gon na use this one which has three clips. I'M just gon na clip it into my braid. The clips keep opening and i don't know if that's because let me try and do something else: okay, yeah, i'm putting too much hair in the clip, so it doesn't want to actually close. So i just have to get like a really small, like just at the top of the plait, i'm not going to go too deep in otherwise it won't close yeah there you go, and this is my my first clip i have hair. No, i think next, i'm going to do a four i'm going to turn around this time, so you can see so i'm not going to put it like straight, i'm going to curve up a little bit. Okay, i think i'm now gon na get one with five clips on it. Let me get another five, then now i'm going to get a four, this side seems to be all covered. So now i'm just going to focus on this side and i'm going to get a smaller one. So i'm going to get the three and just only put it on this side. Let'S try this four, so i've got four more left and that will twos just put two here. I'M gon na put another two there and then i'm going to put a final two up here and that's that i've got one more two here that i actually think. I'M going to feed into this side because this side looks a lot less dense like that and that's the hair. I think i'm gon na need to because that little bit weird right, so i'm gon na - need to take this back one off and put it slightly lower just so it can cover that bun. Okay, i just put it underneath the bun, and i think that solved that issue yeah. That was smart with me so now moment of truth. I'M gon na need to try and blend my hair. In with this, it doesn't help that my hair is so dry and tangled right now, um. What'S the best thing i can do. Okay, i've got an idea. I think what i'm going to do. Is i'm going to do like a braid out i'm going to braid all of it with my hair? What i'm going to do now is i'm going to get my parting. Okay, we have a problem. I didn't leave out enough hair, so it's going to be a little bit tricky to make sure it's covered, i'm going to move one of these clips over to the other side, because this looks a lot thicker yeah, i'm going to put this on the other side. Show this side some more love cool. Okay. So that's what it looks like. I think this is really odd and termed like that's just too long, but i don't really want to cut it either. I don't know what to do, because i think the whole thing is 18 inch, but they should have given me like different lengths that would have been smarter yeah. That'S how it should be. It should be calm anyways before we start focusing on cutting. Let me just now start braiding it out. I think, before i braid out, i need to moisturize my hair, it's just so dry. I think i'm actually going to use some of this. I'M going to use some of this haircut. Oil moisturizer. I'Ve not actually used this before, but it's just right here, so i might as well try it that feels really nice. Okay. Now, what am i going to? Do? I'Ve only got a little bit of mousse left, so i hope this is enough. So i'm going to spray a little bit into my hand and put that all over and then i'm just going to plait it together. Okay, so i've just braided all of my hair with the clip ends and fingers crossed. I'M hoping this now blends everything in really nicely if it doesn't i'm kind of doomed, i'm actually going out like right now, so this kind of has to work. I don't have the option of this failing today, so yeah, i'm just gon na go and get ready. Put my makeup on and everything get dressed and then fingers crossed this actually stands out all right. So i'm ready done my makeup and everything and now it's time for the moment of truth, i'm so worried. I'M really really worried. I don't know why, but i hope it actually comes out. Okay, i'm gon na start with the back and then work my way to the front, because i think the front is the part i'm most nervous about. So i'm going to leave that to last. It looks quite nice actually, but i think um that braid was still a little bit wet, so i'm going to actually use my hair dryer on the rest, because i don't want to ruin this okay, i actually ended up re-braiding the back and now you can see The braid that looks a lot better is like crimped all the way from the beginning, as opposed to just the end. So it's really important to make sure the hair is dry. I'M not convinced the rest of my hair is dry, but i'm honestly running so late. I don't even have i just have to take it off like that so far, so good now we're getting to where my hair is okay, that actually blends really well, that's my hair, it's just that it's still wet, so some of my hair hasn't formed a curl Properly like that, it's still kind of straight at the ends. Oh, this actually looks good this one, oh nice. These are still wet. Okay, not bad. I can do all that. I don't really have an option because, as i said, i'm going now, my friend's actually waiting for me right now hurry so i've taken all of the plaits off, and this is the final note, i'm just going to separate these out on this side a little bit. So just show you how to do this in a rush, because some of the hair didn't have time to to calm, but it's okay, so this hair in the front. This is the only section i planted without like blending it in with the other hair and, finally enough, it's the one that curled the best. So i think i wish i did that for the rest, because you can see here it's a bit puffy and it's not blending as well. So i'm gon na just try and separate this out really gently yeah. I should have done that to the rest. Now i know for next time this seems to be it. I think this will look a lot better, but my hair is a little bit longer because you can see this hair doesn't really meet the length of the rest um, but it still looks pretty good and i'm actually quite happy with that, and i think it looks Quite nice, so yeah this is the finished look and, although, like initially i was like, i want to cut it. I actually think it looks. Okay. Now it's been braided. I actually think, like the layers thing looks good um, but you can see how good the front looks. It looks so natural because i planted it properly, so i think what i'm going to do, i'm going to actually replace these, but i'm going to do all of that off camera because i'm running late, but this is the the finished look. I am going to redo these plaits and hopefully it will look more like this and be a bit more blended in um but yeah this is it it's nice to see my hair a little bit longer because i miss my length, i'm all saying i can't wait To have long hair and why not fake it till you make it.
