How To Rinse/Soak Your Braiding Hair W/Apple Cider Vinegar,Get Rid Of Itchy Scalp & Hair Sensitivity

WHY YOU SHOULD BE WASHING/SOAKING YOUR SYNTHETIC BRAIDING HAIR IN APPLE CIDER VINEGAR ✍ ✔️

If you are like me and wear ALOT of different protective styles with added hair extensions, then im sure you guys will relate with what i share in this video! ✂️

I have a very sensitive scalp so many times once i get my braids installed i start to ITCH, get small red bumps which made me realize that i might be allergic to it but i found out that some braiding hair/extensions is coated with something called ALKALINE which can be very dangerous for our hair & Health to be honest!☠️

A solution that has been working amazing for me is called THE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINCE METHOD which helps lift some of the Alkaline coating, chemicals and even BACTERIA from the synthetic braiding hair which has stopped me from itching and getting bumps.

If you have ever worn a braided hairstyle and have suffered with the same symptoms i have maybe give this method a try an let me know if it works for you?

HOW TO DO THIS METHOD:

Step1️⃣

Fill bowl with warm/hot (not boiling hot) water and add some apple cider Vinegar

Step 2️⃣

Without separating the hair, add it to the mixture and wait around 30 mins - 1 hour (the choice is yours) but after a few mins you shoukd start to see the alkaline base lifting from the hair, forming a white film on top of the water!

Step3️⃣

Gently wash rinse hair out with cool water & then add a shampoo to wash the hair with

Step 4️⃣

Once you have rinsed out the shampoo you can the gently massage the conditioner into the hair and leave it to soak for 30 mins then wash it out, let it air dry and your done!!! It seems like a long process but i think it worth it especially as this will benefit with my hair and skin!

BRAIDSGANG WEBSITE COMING SOON! :)

So this is what you're going to need: you're going to need a conditioner and shampoo and then you're gon na need our cider vinegar right now I am sitting up so now I'm going to put some apple cider vinegar in here, and this is quite strong. So that's what kind of needs it's to have a visa exceptions, I'm going to be using a free pack, a I'm going to ha, don't worry about it! Getting untangled, and as long as the hairband is one do not like loosing it as only to have Amazon minutes, Oh making it twice into the talk kind of scary. This is insane guys. This is why we must wash your baking pan, because, if you don't this, all this is what's going to be in your hair mix of your hair. Braids in hair is coated with a lot of chemicals and alkaline supply. Nikita synthetic hair - and I guess usable, but as you can see, if you do not soak your hair and take off at least most of you, know the chemicals and you know the the coating that is really dangerous for hair. This is going to be in here, and this is actually really really quite alarming, on the leave on for two hours and then I'm going to come back and you're gon na see the next step haze. So the white theorem that you see that still likes a lot of like the chemicals and the things that are just so dangerous for our hair. You know so this has been soaking for about three hours and, as you can see, the water has even changed. Changed. Color and that film, on top that's all the stuff that you don't want in your hair, so yeah we got so I'm filling up the sink again. I'Ve washed it out, I'm going to use some shampoo I'll, just gon na squeeze in I'm. I'Ve got free a little really speech at nervous. Hmm, I love it and this is gon na help with like the smell, although I find that apple cider well it whenever I use it and it doesn't actually leave a citrus smell, but this is just an extra step if you're not sure. It'S also good. This extra step just to really deep, deep, clean the braiding hair, I'm just pressing, very gently, pushing the hair into the water, and it's going to also help soften the hair even more. I find that whenever I do this step that have to do, but I do like to do this step because I find a mystery. It works amazing. So it's been about 10 minutes soak in in the shampoo, and now I'm actually going to do an extra step where I just basically get the shampoo. I want to concentrate on the bundle so and I'm gon na softly run it through the entire bundle just leave. It so it really s it's a hair. The reason I'm saying like target is because he's gon na make my own tangle. It is this way so keep the rate something intact. You don't have to do this, but I do find that this that really helps and really helps. I think guys so right now, but I'm just washing out rinsing out the put up with crews and water and again do you see I'm using a squeezing motion. It takes to pull ups up a lot quicker and it's done it does it like borrow me just so. No products is less again. This is my face and again it works. For me, it's helped other each. When I do this, my scalp doesn't go red. You know all the horrible things that comes with with from when you have raised in hair, so I'm going to be using at the equinox and I'm gon na put it oh wait, that's what I'm gon na use, but already you can see the hairs a little More shinier, it has a better soft tech softer texture, so this lipid really does work so yep, I'm just gon na lay the bundles back in into the water. Okay, I'm gon na. Let that sit for about our thirty minutes two hours. Maybe I'm not sure and I'm going to come back and wash you out - I'm prepping my before I put it in my hair, so I know I'm not going to get any allergic reactions and staff. You know, and there you have it fresh braided hair, even feels so like soft, so yeah, that's it really. This is how you prep your hair. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please do. Let me know if you enjoy videos like this again. This is my method. You don't have to do this, but obviously you guys know I'm extra I like to take extra care when it comes to my hair. Remember to keep it nice and light, make sure you comment down below and do not forget to hit that subscribe buttons, bye, guys,

GoodGirl_ GoneGlam: That looks absolutely disgusting! I had no idea all that was on my hair before but never again will I use braiding hair without washing it first with acv! No wonder it itched like all hell

The Bronx: She spent about a day prepping this hair an I’m not mad, I’m starting tonight!‍♀️

Smiley: I'm trying this now! My last box braids itched sooooo bad I can't let that happen again! Thanks for the tips sis!

Danneigh Heart🤍: I did this but I used vo5 shampoo and I have to say my braiding hair feels amazing and they smell great. I couldn’t believe the chemicals and dirt that came off of the hair. Thank you for the tip ✨

Erika Williams: I'm definitely trying this today! I get the same issues and nothing I've used to soothe my scalp after the hair is already in has helped, so this makes so much sense. Thank you!!

Cutie patoot: Definitely made a world of difference!! I didnt have that first week pain or it itching! Doing it again as we speak❤❤

Hailey McManis: i haven’t even finished braiding my hair and i’m already taking it out because it itches so bad. I have scalp psoriasis and it never dawned on me i might be allergic to the chemical on the hair, definitely doing this next time

Marie Paul-Gibson: I was all ready to prep my braiding hair with just vinegar but I'm so glad I ran across your vid. Your process is hella thorough and I'm here for it! Thanks for sharing!

MOjo: I started this technique about 2 years ago! And I couldn’t believe the difference it makes! I condition mine with coconut oil after then let them air dry comb them out as well . It’s worth the day before to install. I even feel like the hair is softer when braiding

eyeluv2dance: In the past I used to do an ACV rinse on my scalp within a few days of being braided to relief the itching/inflammation. I have an appointment for Fulani braids in the morning - after watching this I’m gonna postpone it to the next day, I’ll buy the hair and do the pre-soak. I feel sorry for ladies who are unaware of this method.

NACHELLE KAYY: Braiding hair doesn’t bother me at all. But seeing all those chemicals float to the top I’m still putting that in my head So I’m going to start doing this step before I insert my braids in and also offer this step for my clients as well.

Jaime L.: Yes yes yes!! I definitely have to do this process. I was completely miserable the first time I got braids because I had no idea I was allergic to this chemical. Please make sure you use Real Apple Cider vinegar, not the White Vinegar. I’ve made that mistake as well. Braids are so expensive so prep your hair ladies. That white film comes up immediately upon soaking the hair. Insane!!

N Parker: Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I was wondering why my scalp was so irritated when I got braids in. I was so miserable! I will be definitely taking these tips! Be blessed

Phillomina: I had to take my hair out after work yesterday because I've been suffering with allergic reactions to the braids I self-installed. I came home a few days from the British museum and branched to the hair shop because I couldn't take it anymore. I finally have time to do the rinse now so, thanks for this video. It's absolutely confusing that it hasn't always happened but it's definitely depends on the batch one gets because I use Xpressions also and the last time I did my hair at the hairdressers, I didn't have a reaction as horrible as I have now. I'm never taking the chance of not soaking my hair ever again. Thanks again sweet

Khadija Cooper: Oh my goodness no wonder why my hair itches up a storm after I install braids. You just saved me sleepless nights.I’m installing braids tomorrow but, I’m doing this first.

Sarah: I stopped getting braids 2 years ago because my skin would just go crazy whenever I got braids and I mean rashes/tiny bumps all over my face wow this makes so much sense. I want to get braids so bad but I’m still traumatized to even try this

Jenaya W: Just a quick question for the air drying step, do I just lay the hair on a towel and let it air dry overnight or does it take longer ?

Elle T.: I can count on one hand about how many times I’ve had my hair braided but this most recent time I got passion twists and my scalp was on fire. Like no matter how much I scratched, patted, beat….NOTHING would stop the itching. I didn’t even keep them in 2 full weeks cause they were already coming out. About a week went by and it was wraps. Definitely doing this for my hair appointment in a few days.

ZaChanta Frazier: I never had issues with my hair itching when getting braids, but I can recall this one time where my scalp was so itchy! I just got Senegalese twist & boy were they gorgeous! The next day after the install my head was itching up a storm So I wash it & grease it, thinking it’s just dry scalp. NOPE! My scalp was having an allergic reaction from the chemical “alkaline lye”. I spent $200; just to wear my braids for only 3 weeks! Going to get my hair braided tomorrow & reach out to my stylist asking if she has human hair on hand. She stated the human hair is to soft & she prefer synthetic . Once my hair is completed I’m going home to soak head in ACV, then wash my scalp with the Acv & aloe vera plant, then oil scalp with Jamaican castor oil.

Autumn Smith: I had to learn this the hard way last summer. I had gotten knot less braids and had a bad reaction to the chemical and didn't even know what it was until after I took them out and had another style put in. So yes definitely wash your hair because this stuff is not good for our hair.

ROSE: I watched this video just in time, I’m going to be doing Marley twist in my hair this weekend and I’ll definitely wash the hair before using it

kayliyah .: My scalp used to breakout and I would have scabs all over my head with any braiding hair , crochet hair anything ! Once I soaked my hair in acc and washed I never had anymore issues

Kassandra Joeliz: how long does it take for the hair to thoroughly dry after soaking the hair?

Katherine Jegede: Such a good video. Your explanation is excellent and much appreciated!

Cecilia Johnson: Thank you.. every time I braid my hair and it touches my face I get bad break outs. Now I know why... now I can prep my braiding hair and be cute without the pimples ☺

Megan Schofield: thanks for this video!!! So i watched this video like a long time ago, and today i decided to go for it and currently waiting for it to dry.... it's not as bad as i thought it would be to be honest. i left it in the water to soak for 20 min and when i came back it was exactly the same.... I did not have any conditioner that was cheap enough to use for this so i used a fabric softer with a rice water rinse … it works so much better.... i think maybe in the future not a expired fabric softer tho .... lol not to self hahahaha

Love Always 💝: I'm doing this right now with some bundles as last time my scalp was itchy and scratchy and sore, I had to take out the braid's from my hair in less than a week but hopefully this will do the trick

Krystiana Mcneill: Glad I came across this video because I was always able to wear braids no problem but recently every time I do wear them my head itches like no tomorrow imma try this method and see fingers crossed

Ajuanae Nelson: Will be trying this. Thank you for the tutorial!

nicole griffin: This was right on point Thank you so much❤

Sugar baby68: Wow! I never pre washed my hair......I will now....Yuck! Thank you.......I cannot sleep at night for at least 1 week after I do my hair it itches soooo bad...My poor husband is like "Just cut it all out and go natural" Poor thing he never gets sleep the 1st week after I do my hair! He will now!

J Bol: I am thankful for the comments. I thought something was wrong with me bc my hair starting itching within 4 days of getting braided.

Aniyah Diloveli Lioness: Try using the shampoo and conditioner together to save time.

nikita anyo: Wish i knew this before my last set of braids . I dug holes in my head because it was murderously itchy

W..J..: I used to let my African goddesses braid my hair so whatever they used, it never itched. The one time I decided to buy a pack for highlights bc they didn’t have the shade I wanted, 2 weeks in, I got an abscess on the back of my neck. It grew behind my left ear under the braid so I couldn’t take it out. It was the size of a grape from Costco. Talk about some painful shit I never knew you could wash the hair before using it & damn sure never thought it was chemicals in the hair bc I have super sensitive skin ‍♀️

Alisha Green: i started getting such bad reactions to my braids i literally scratched so much that i caused scabs in my head and i barely had my hair 2weeks and had to take them out because i was miserable

Mfon Stirratt: hi how long does it take to dry

masontalaea: I do this to ❤️. I got my hair braided before and my whole scalp broke out into flakes, it was itchy I oiled it, washed and conditioned my braids, tried a acv root rinse and nothing work. my skin broke out into hives. I washed my braiding hair today, the film was nasty. I’m currently getting ready to rinse the shampoo out

Vee Smilez TV: My hair doesn't itch after braids but i do get alot of flakes on my scalp... that's probably coming from whatever chemicals is on the hair already... definitely completing this step before installing next time

Lemondrop: How long did it take to dry?

Vanita Garcia-Boganey: Thank you so much for sharing, this is my first time using synthetic braiding hair. God Bless

Tionna Morgan: I’m thankful for this video. Thank you for sharing I will definitely be trying this this week.

JCB WRITES: THANK YOU SO MUCH. THIS AS HELPED SO MUCH. NO MORE ITCHING IN MY FAMILIES HEAD. GREAT HELP. AND THE ADDITION OF USING THE CONDITIONER IS AS A GREAT IDEA.

Annah: Every time I get braids my scalp completely dries out compared to when I’m natural so I wonder if it could be due to this

marah p: does this make it less tangled?

Kam Log: Can you add baking soda to the apple cider vinegar mix?

Christfavour Yeboah: Saw this on TikTok and decided to research more about it on YouTube, im so glad i came accross this thank you sp much!! Did it ease the pain when sleeping or is just for itchiness and red bumps on scalp?

Robyn: I love this! So you'd wash the hair before you stretch and cut it right?

Brianne Mclaughlin: Thank you for posting this. I will be doing this for sure

Djenna West: How long does it take for the braiding hair to dry?

Tay Grand: Wow I definitely need to do this , do the hair get back soft after the whole process ?

Mirlene Louis: How do you dry the hair ? Is it blow dry , air dry ?

Destinyours: Who else watching with fresh, itchy box braids?

Mario Rachel: How did you dry the hair after all that? I thought we weren't supposed to get the hair wet, or wet when we shower?

Breana C: Can you do this with regular hair extensions? I’m supposed to get a sew in and I might need to do this. Would you recommend?

kaitlyn fuqua: It’s my first time having my hair braided. How can I wash and condition my hair without the coconut? Since I’m allergic to everything coconut.

Kirri Coleman: Do I have to soak for 3hours? I need my hair done today and I will purchase the hair today

Angie Peck: Does this affect the hot water seal at all?

Brandnamedbecca: It your wig hair gets rough dip it in a bowl of warm water mixed with fabric softener. It will feel like butter, like new again and smell amazing. Thank me later.

Ty: The crotchet hair I got from Amazon not only itched but it burned I had to take it out ...but I'm going to try this

Delaqua P: Do you just let it air dry?

Jackie Owusuwaa Ababio: Please can I use same process for kinky hair extensions?

l. nignon: Hey can I use wine vinegar for this please?

Leslie Grier: Love your accent hun. ♥️♥️♥️ Thanks for sharing. Is the wata warm or cool?

Ash Cash: I wish i knew this when i use to wear a weave the chemicals would leve my scalp so irritated and itchy after two days of it being done.

Océane VERHELST: How long do you leave the hair in the sink ?

Nicole Madison: How much ACV should we be using?

Deja Does Negril: Doing this now before I even finished watching your video

Jazlyn Oliver: Question ‍♀️ will this process take the Color out of pink hair???

ᅳThat'sthetae: If I wash my hair in Apple cider vinegar and warm water and a film doesn't form does that mean that I'm doing something wrong or those chemicals weren't added to the hair? It's not been long but I thought within a couple minutes a form should already start forming

Tanesha Wright: Wow this is very useful thank u for this am gonna make a braid wig for customers she always complain about her hair itching her

Life With Chel: Does the ACV have to be with mother ?

Jacara Williams: FYI ladies, if you use cold water it won't work. Warm water (NOT HOT) is what activates the vinegar.

Emmanuella Vincent: how do you dry the hair ?

TheGracedLife Network: Hmm, this is really scary, now I know why my dear one has been itching for days now, few days from when i had her hair done with extensions ( attachment) for the first time. Think I'll just take them off

Sharon Middleton: Would your wash pre stretched hair as well

Francis Davids: Hey how do you dry the hair when you are done washing it?

Leslie Grier: I wonder if you can wash and soak it in one step?

Aniyah Diloveli Lioness: Is the shampoo water warm or cold?

Tou Shaé: No wonder it irritated my scalp omg

Juanita Wright: How did u dry it

Minerva Argo: Amazing voice and video!! Thank you :)!!

J Bol: Can u wash marly hair as well??

favoured lisa: Can ir be ordinary vinigar?

Tiara Clark: I love your accent. Great tips

Luscious: Spectra EZ braiding hair if you wanna skip this route ladies

Sarah Clay: Didn’t know this ‍♀️.... Thank you

amandaleia ·: just did this and the chemicals came out immediately

Shane: Does anyone know if Alkaline messes with the chemicals in relaxer? Because I had twists in for the first time in years due to quarantine. My afro grew about three inches. But my leave out which was permed hair broken off. It wasn’t from how tight the braids were because my mom does them and she doesn’t put pressure on my edges. But I’ve never had a problem with hair falling out before this!

ᅳThat'sthetae: Or maybe I just need to be more patient and wait a bit longer

Maamserwaa Ameyaw: Would this work with the vermont village apple cider vinegar ?

Pauline.: Do you use warm water

Paulz Ebanks Wright: Thank you

nikki barbie: I just got my hair braidedl didn't even know omg l want take my box braids out.... even tho they look nice❗

Beautiful Diva: It’s not dangerous for our hair it’s what helps the hair not mold. But it causes our hair to itch.

KyKy: Is this why I always get an itchy dry scalp with braids in?

Yuuki Hyuuga: What if I cant touch acv? Do I just wash it a bunch instead?

TayAlay: Are you using warm or cool water?

Marié Phororo: Thank you for the tip, but the water you wasted though

Paula Keyes: i thought i was having an allergic reaction
