When you walk by some old black ladies and they like all that hair all that hair - and i'm like this is weird, but thank you, you know, because why why all black ladies can't just give you a compliment and just say you have beautiful hair or your Hair is so pretty or you have so much hair. I overheard all that hair, like you mad you mad mad, you mad hi, i'm shawka starks and welcome to my channel. Thank you so much for clicking on this video. If you are not subscribed, go ahead and subscribe to my channel and join the fam, thank you for all the love in this video. I'M gon na be showing y'all how i wash my sew in and style it and get my bundles to last. Okay, this hair. I'Ve had for a minute pretty much. Every install you've seen on my channel has been with these same exact bundles. So if you want to see how i wash and style these bundles and get them to last, keep watching. So i start out by separating my leave out and just clipping it out of the way i make sure that my sew-in is nice and detangled. So you see me just brushing my hair out and i'm gon na separate it into two sections. I am going to wash my hair in these two sections, so i'm just clipping it out of the way. This is the shampoo and conditioner that i use it's my favorite. It smells so so good. I prefer to wash my hair in the kitchen sink because i feel like i can just control the water better and avoid getting my my braids wet and my dome cap wet underneath the sew-in. So i'm applying that shampoo to my roots, focusing on getting any build up any gel out of my edges, just getting it nice and clean and then pulling you know the rest of that shampoo through my hair and brushing that product through before i rinsed out. If you have fine hair, like me, just be mindful of the shampoo and conditioner that you pick, you don't want to use one, that's going to weigh your hair down. So this is why i really like the shampoo and conditioner it's nice and lightweight and it gets my hair. So now i'm adding this deep conditioner to my natural hair to my leave out and my edges, and i just get that in there and then i clip it away before i move on to watching the next section and now i'm just gon na wash the two Sections one at a time um, depending on how dirty or oily my hair is, i will wash twice this time my hair wasn't really dirty. I don't put any product in my hair um throughout the week, so it really wasn't a lot of build up. So i just wash it once trying to make sure that it gets lathered, nice and good, and i just work that shampoo, through with my fingers and then i'll, use the brush and work the shampoo through and rinse it and i'm using like warm to cool water. For this and i'll just rinse, it's really important that you get all of that product out, so i kind of rinse it for a while, i'm also not getting my braids wet y'all, i'm just washing the hair. This conditioner came with the color that i used. So i just use this conditioner until it's gone, i love it. It smells so good. It'S not really heavy um. So that's why my hair is able to stay really nice in you know light with this conditioner. So i put that conditioner in and i clip my hair away and i move on to the other side. So i'm just shampooing here i'm about to rinse the conditioner out of my leave out and my edges, while those other sections are just clipped out of the way, and when i'm doing this, i'm also trying not to get my braids wet. Underneath i've rinsed out the conditioner and i'm just brushing my hair and i'll just tie it up with a t-shirt and now i'm about to move on to blow drying. I did my makeup while my hair was tied up just so my hair, you know, wasn't soaking wet when i get into blow drying. I will sometimes let my hair just air dry too, but for the sake of this video, i wanted to show y'all how i blow dry, my hair, so my braces end up getting a little bit wet, so i'm just going through and making sure that they are Dry at the top, and then i section off my hair just into two sections and i make sure that that back section is very dry, because that is the section that rubs on my shoulders and my neck. And if this part is not dry, you will get tangling or knotting or matting i'm putting some oil on my edges. This is wild growth, oil. I love this joint. It works y'all. If i was more consistent with it, i think i could get my edges to be a little stronger, but i don't like the way that i don't love the way it smells and it's also a very heavy oil. So now i'm just going back and blow drying the back. Before i move on to the other section, i will brush it out with a paddle brush and then i will just dry it nothing fancy here, i'm just making sure to focus on you know getting my braids dry and if that dome cap got wet, i'm making Sure that that gets super dry too, before i dry the rest of the hair. I use this heat protectant on my natural hair. I just spray it in it's kind of like a leave-in. I massage it into my edges and now i'm going to blow out my leave out with this paddle brush and my blow dryer is on high heat um. My natural hair takes no time to dry, as you can see, so i'm just brushing it and drying it. Now that my sew in is pretty much dry, i'm just going gon na flat iron. My edges before i get into flat ironing my hair one pass and then again i section off the back section. This is the only part that i go through and i pretty much straighten this. I straighten out the the back section, because again, this is the part that will get tangly or matty. You know from rubbing on your clothes on your shoulders on your neck, so i like to make sure that this part is straight and then i just curl the ends, and i just curl the ends of the rest of the hair. This hair - i do not go all the way through with the flat iron, literally just putting a curl at the end, and i let you know i let my um. I leave my my sew in to kind of just have that natural wavy texture, so um, and now i am ironing my leave out. I do one pass find that section and i like that, the hair you know, looks full and wavy and kind of textured, and not completely straight. If you prefer your hair to be straight, definitely go ahead and you know make smaller sections and flat iron it. But i like the wavy texture in this hair. It also makes it a little easier to blend my hair if it has that wavy texture and you'll see how i blend the hair together in a second, the hair in the front, and i'm just going to flat iron it together and curl it away. From my face and i'm going to do the same thing on this side just grabbing some of that weave with my leave out and i'm just going to curl it away from my face and curl it under so pretty much done with styling um to just get It to be flat and to kind of like set it because my hair is not relaxed and it will revert. I just i just put on my scarf for a few minutes: um. Sometimes i'll, pin curl this hair or i'll just twist it today, i'm gon na twist it and then just put on my scarf. This is also how i tie my hair up at night. I know that some people have asked me if i wrap my hair, but i don't because i like it to be wavy. I just do like a two strand twist and put my scarf on and take it out in the morning and i'm good to go. I'M taking off my scarf, it looks real flat and weird, but yeah i mean the longer. You keep your scarf on the better it's gon na set. I haven't done anything to my edges. You can see they look looking they're, not looking bad, i'm just gon na comb comb through it. You know now it's giving it's not getting the big giant blowout. If that's the look you're going for just keep in mind that throughout the day it's going to get bigger because your hair is nice and clean and there's not any oil, i didn't put any product in this hair. So if you live in a humid climate - and you don't put any product in your hair or any like serums, it's definitely going to get bigger throughout the day. Um. So just consider that um yeah i just kind of like untwist them, and it just gives me the look that i need not that i need, but that i'm going for and again i didn't do nothing to my edges. I just you know, you see me just flat iron them and just lay my scarf down um, i'm happy with how that looks just making sure all my tracks are covered at the top, and that's it that's it. This is how i style my hair. This is how i keep my bundles, nice and fresh. You can see it's giving it's giving fresh blowout um and i did minimal styling. I just wash and blow dry curl the ends uh. Yes, i did flat iron, the back and my liver, but that's it. I didn't even finesse my edges, i didn't even put anything on my edges, but they're nice and clean, so they're laying they're like they're, laying they're laid it's giving doobie blow out. Okay, it's giving! So thank you so much for watching this video. If you like this video go ahead and give me a big thumbs up, show me some love in the comment section.
