#softlocs #distressedfauxlocs #softlocs #easycrochetlocs

Uh, hey guys, welcome back to my channel to girl marimba, as you can see, in order to get started with this tutorial, i'm showing you the braid pattern, very simple: okay. I got 43 braids in my hair and then i'm showing you the hair that i use. I'M using the bobbi boss, new locs and the lulu dress, passion twist hair, so super bouncy super soft and then the new locs are your typical crochet locs. So here we go. Let'S get started in this tutorial, so you are going to take your braid and just go ahead and slip your latch hook, your crochet hook and pull your lock through the base of your braid. Okay, once you do that, there's a little tiny hole and you're going to open that hole and then pull your lock and braid through that hole and that just simply secures everything in place. Okay, i'm gon na quickly add in my two cents. I absolutely freaking love these soft lock. They are by far my most favorite locks. I'Ve done on myself, yet so far. Okay, anyway, back to the tutorial um. At the end of your lock, you are going to split open the end of the lock into kind of like two pieces. If you see that there you're gon na, take another lock and tie a knot around the hole of that second lock i'll, let you guys watch it's way easier. I'M a visual learner super easy. If you just pay attention, but you can see you're just going to knot that second lock to the first lock all right, so you can see now you're done! No! No! No honey! You'Re! Not done! You cannot have your ends. Hanging like that you're going to take one of those ends and simply wrap it up. The top of your lock and then you're going to take the second end and wrap it down in the bottom of the lock and that just secures everything in place. And then, once that's done, you're going to rub your hands onto that lock and make sure everything is just clean. Stuck together, looks good or you can use nail glue like i'm, showing you here, my preference. I found out um throughout me doing this, that i didn't really like the nail glue, but i'll show you guys just for option purposes like if you want to use now glue. You can wasn't my favorite thing, um, so yeah nail glue or you can just take some hairspray. I use got to be spray. The lock and then rub it on in and that's going to seal your lock in place and that's it alright. So now it is time to wrap. This is going to give you that soft, lock distressed, look okay, so you're going to take your passion twist, hair, whatever passion twist you use, buy whatever your store offers, you you don't have to buy the exact pack as me, but if you like, you can you're Going to hold a piece of the passion twist with your lock, okay i'll, let you guys watch and then wrap the rest around the lock and the hair itself. It'S kind of hard to explain, but let you guys watch okay and then you want to wrap a few times around the base, just to make sure that the hair is secure. If you don't wrap a few times around the base, it is going to slip down. So yeah and then you just simply wrap all the way down. The lock is super easy. So easy you guys. So, as you can see right here, once you kind of get to the end of what you have left of the passion twist, hair you're, going to start to wrap back up the lock that secures everything together and then just rub your hands together, you can spray A little hairspray, as you can see me doing so, and then rub your hands together, voila, that is it look how good this lock looks. Okay and that's it all! You do is repeat the process on your entire head and it takes about six or seven hours. Um, but it's definitely worth it and it's really cute so yeah i'ma, let you guys watch the rest of the video. I am doing a giveaway. I don't know if i put in the title or not, but yeah watch the full video i'm basically going to be giving away this complete look to one lucky winner. You can win this entire hairstyle one winner, um watch the the video. I do tell you guys how to enter and i'm gon na, send you guys all the packs you need to get this hairstyle and that's it y'all. Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed it. Give this video a like - and i will see you guys in my next one um. Oh so it's been an hour, i just wanted to pause and show you guys exactly the way i've been doing these locks. I'Ve got a few done all right. Let'S get up close and personal, you can see they all look very, very different, very distressed, very messy, which is, i don't know if you've been following me for a while. I love messi. I love messi, so this by far this one right here is my absolute favorite. Look at that. I just love how it came out to be honest, the messier or the faster that you wrap without caring. It'S going to come out like this, so i don't want all of my locks to look like this, but i do really like this one so and this one too, this was the very first one i did so i'm going to break it down, break it break It down so you're gon na grab a lock boom you're going to take i'm gon na. Do this one, so you guys can see. Take your plait, your braid! Stick your crochet needle through loop! It through pull you're going to open the circle, don't mind my nose by the way i popped them off yesterday, because the shops um around my house closed again. So it was time for a phil and there was absolutely nowhere for me to get my nails done, but anyway, back to the hair tutorial, i'm pulling both the braid and the lock through the loop. I like this better than just doing the braid or just doing the lock, because i feel like it's more secure, so just pull the braid and the lock through all runny. You are going to grab another block open up the hole where normally you loop and you're, going to tie one piece through the hole and knot it to the other piece. Now you have two pieces like this. If you leave it like this, just it's just not cute! It'S not gon na work out. It'S not cute, so you're gon na take one of those ends and wrap it up right up the lock, okay, something like that you're gon na take the other end. I hope you guys can see this whole time and wrap it down bam. So you got that so after that you're going to take, got to be hairspray spray down where you just tied and roll your hands together on, so it kind of just seals it in so you can go in with nail blue. I haven't been doing that because when you put the nail glue on first and then the hairspray you can see, the hairspray makes the nail glue white. So then you have this white little looks like a flipped ball or something on your lock didn't like that. So i tried the hairspray first and then the nail glue that came out way better, but i find that just putting some hairspray and rolling between your hands works out fine last step, you're going to take your passion twist, you are going to open up the end. Like so be careful not to knot this, it doesn't get tangled really easily, so i'm just going to open this up, so you can see it kind of just take this and you're going to put one in right here: grab the lock in the braid. In this hand, you're going to take that other end and wrap around the base of your braid and lock, and you want to do that a few times just so it looks nice and it covers braid. It gets tighter all that stuff. So you can see it's kind of getting messy, that's fine, but you see sometimes it just comes out so neat. I don't know. I think it's just like the way i wrap so sometimes i have to tell myself to purposely be messy, which is kind of hard. I guess so, then, when you get to where you don't have that much left, you just want to stop pinch where you are and then wrap back up the lock we're gon na keep doing that until you have literally nothing left, even if it's the tiniest strand And then that's it there you go so i'll, see you guys tomorrow morning when everything is done complete and you guys get to see the finished. Look so hey guys, really quick in a little bit of rush, sorry to interrupt the middle of this video, but i love this hairstyle so so so much and as time went on. I realized that i totally should have done a giveaway of this video. So i want to do a giveaway on this hairstyle. I will send you the amount of packs that it took me to achieve this look to the winner in order to enter in your way. All you have to do is really simple. All you have to do is subscribe to my channel, like this video leave a comment down below your instagram handle and why you would like to win and then go over to my instagram and hit that follow button. Those four things super easy subscribe like this video. Let me know why you would like to win: leave your instagram handle in the comments so that i can contact you and then follow me on instagram those four things, and then i will send you. This look! Okay, it's about 80 to 100. To achieve this! Good luck to all the winners, sorry to just kind of insert that it's probably been about a week and a half since i had this thing and i just really like it - and i know someone would also really like. So i wanted to send this hair um to the water. It'S gon na be the same hair so that you can achieve the full look and i will announce the winner via instagram, as well as contact the winner um through an instagram message. So don't forget to leave your hand, that's it. I just wanted to share we're gon na get away all right guys, so it's the next day. I hope that the tutorial was clear enough for you guys to understand. There'S a few things that i want to kind of touch on, just to make sure you understand it's not necessary to go in with nail glue. You can totally get away with just using this. Just really make sure you rub your hands together to kind of seal. In the locks last tip, when you open up the passion twist, you can split it into two, so one passion twist can give you two locks. Does that make sense? So that's essentially why you get away with buying less passion, twist packs, as opposed to deluxe packs. So i haven't oiled my scalp. I wanted to do it on camera, so i'm gon na do that and i'm just gon na talk to you guys a little bit about the hair and the product. So i used pretty much color number four and um color. I have to double check, but this is not 1b. This is not number two, i'm gon na do my edges, i'm going to take this edge booster. This is my first time using this. This is the smell blueberry, which is why i bought it. So it just smelled good, they have a ton of different colors ooh. I dug my hand right into it, just like pink, so i'm not used to edge control being that like jelly, it's 100 in like six degrees where i'm about to go and it's 93 by the house, so i'm going swimming. This is actually a swim top and i'm excited because it has not been well. My pool and my place is not open, so i'm excited to be able to finally swim like it's summertime, and why is this the first time i'm swimming, so i have about 43 locks in my hair. I count it just so that i can tell you guys how many locks i have in my head, because some of you guys like to know those things so cute all right. Oh this feels so good on my head. I am sorry. I just want to keep drenching my head in oil because it feels so good yeah. I think this came out really good, pretty long, pretty pretty long. That'S down to my body, i bought 10 packs of everything or 10 packs total just to make sure that i had enough because it's the worst not having enough hair to finish your head. So i want to let you guys know how many packs i use so for the locs. I used one two, three, four, some people. That said it takes them about five or six packs of blocks. It took me four so just to give you an idea of how much i have in my head. This is what it looks like i like to personally see a lot of scalp. So maybe that's why. But it took me four packs and i was shook. I was shocked so four of that, and then it took me one two, three three passion twists: if you want to achieve this exact color, because it does have some hints of brown in it, the locks is mb1, slash, 30, meaning it has hints of like brownish Red tone, which is the 30 okay and then the passion twist. I pretty much used mostly number four. You can see and then a two. So there you have it oh and then i did have a lock. Yet i did have one pack of number four in the lock, so i kind of mix and match a little bit again. If you want to replicate this, it will be in the description i'll even list all the colors that i used cool cool. So that's it! You guys, i hope you enjoyed this tutorial, leave any questions down below if you like, this video, give it a like and subscribe to my channel if you're new, as well as check out my instagram, which is right here as always, take it easy stay blessed, and God willing, i will see you guys on what today wednesday i'll see you guys later peace
