Hey y'all, what's good, so i'm back at it again with another tutorial video today i will be showing y'all my soft lock tutorial. Now i don't really know the proper way to do soft vlogs. I have self-taught myself on. How can i create the soft blocks to look as natural as possible? Another thing is, i don't like that people are doing butterfly locks at the beginning of their soft logs and then there's a soft lock at the end. Like you know, i'm saying like, why are we doing that like? Why are we creating texture at the top of the lock, but not creating the texture throughout the whole soft lock? So i feel like if you're gon na do soft locks, then you need to try to make the hair that you're wrapping around that soft log as natural as possible, and that's what i'm doing with my client um today. So i'm just going to show y'all how i basically do my soft locks and also i don't like that um. You know how you crochet the soft block up there at the top of the scalp and then you wrapping hair on top there's too much tension. So if it's a protective style, it's supposed to protect the hair right. So just watch my video. If you have any questions, just um comment below and i'm gon na, be sure that i put everything in the description below as well that i use. But i did use the bobbi balls 36 inch, hair um, i'm also gon na make sure i put it in the video as well, but right now, i'm just showing y'all that i mean i'm just showing y'all. How i'm parting excuse me, i'm showing y'all how i'm parting my client's hair, so i gave her some natural parts now. My natural parts are not neat at all if they want neat parts and they have to tell me, but if they don't tell me that they want me parts, i just kind of freestyle and when it comes to locks, you want your parts to look natural. You don't have to be neat because when it's more natural, then the locks just fall perfectly good, guys girl, you

Imani Hayes: I’m going to try your method with crocheting the loc a little down from the root!! I love this. Thank you. I follow your Instagram and I’m a stylist so this was very beneficial queen!

LeReatha Burrell: I love the flat look and I’ve been trying to figure out how stylist get the root so flat and this is the key. Thank you so much for posting this and not keeping it a secret like many other people do.

Cynae B: tried these yesterday, & they look awesome!!!! Very flat and less tension on the scalp! thank you for this great method!

Naomi Carpenter: Girl thank you for making this video. I just started my hair business and was just looking around for different methods of doing hair and this is BY FAR the best thing I've ever seen to get flat roots.

Yanique W: This looks REALLY good! Thanks for sharing your technique. I’m going to try it next week.

Kei: Love this method I will be trying it on my own head it usually takes me two days do a style like this I usually wash/part and braid my hair in one day and then install locs another and I will be trying this method. I love the flat look over the bulky. You did an amazing job on your client and an amazing job showing what to do. ❤️

Tamekia Rayson: Thank you I did my daughters hair and posted it on Instagram everyone is going crazy wand can’t believe it’s my 1st time. Your technique of not adding the crochet to the base/scalp - made it easier to wrap spring twist hair and the natural parts were awesome. U Rock!!

Ashleigh Inez.: This was probably the most helpful video I’ve come across. Helpful and simple.

Taneisha Howell: Super smart way to do them. Even extends the locs. Thanks

LifewithSuzzy Q: Wow!! This is beautiful, I’m gonna try this for the first time

snoop5118: Now this stylist understood the assignment! Stunning!

Slaperella: love your method <3 thanks alot so very helpful :D

Monique Namani: Mines came out so fire thank you!!

Chantel: I’ve been pushing back trying crochet locs on myself but this video makes it clear

Nia Hutchinson: RUNNING to the hair store to try this TODAY I love this method thank you for sharing

Mz PrettyPussyCat: Nice outcome! Love that it is flat consistently. Just want to know how many times did you break one spring twist down? Did you split the whole spring twist in half for one loc or did you use half the half (1/4) the spring twist hair? Or did you cut the spring twist in half before you broke it up? Thanks. Just need to know... That's the only part you didn't show. You did a wonderful job Symone!!❤✨

carol phiri: This is beautiful❤️❤️ definitely trying

Khalan Armand: Great video,They came out so pretty! What did you do to keep the texture consistent throughout the length of the loc ? Did you wrap with spring twist all the way down?

Islandgirll: Let me tellll u!! I love it!!! This method is great! Def doing this for my trip! Thank you!

Leah Primo: My daughter wanted butterfly locs but I hate the idea of a style starting OFF messy. These are much prettier. Wondering, since her hair is already long, if it makes sense to just crochet a shorter extension piece just at the end of her natural braid and just wrap around her own hair, down to the end. (Looking for anything to speed up the process!) Also wondering, if they start off thinner, can you get more life out of this style by just wrapping another piece at the root after a few weeks

Yolanda Hegwood: @symone Protective Styles - Hi I enjoyed watching your Video - My daughter sent me this video to try this style on her hair. I wanted to know if you used anything to seal the wrap-around hair? What do you suggest to use to keep the last top layer of hair from unravaling? Also, are we supposed to do a hot water dip set on this style? - Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Tameka Green: That's amazing I was trying to figure that out too thank u

Dehjhunae Day: Very pretty and this is so simple would have never known.....

madysuhnn: love this! after twisting the hair to cover her natural hair, what did you use to keep the braiding hair in tact with the loc and keep it from unraveling?

Shameka bell: Definitely would have liked to see you do an entire loc from root to tip

Angel King: Hey , what did you use to keep the twist hair secured once you reached the end of her natural plat?

Mi Ka: I love your technique… I’m hooked about to watch your other videos!

lotanna ob: i love your method the best , so glad you posted this video, i am about to go try this

Cynthia Jay: I really wanna try this style but I’m scared of damaging or cutting my hair whilst taking the locs out. I’d really appreciate it if you could do a take down video . Please & thanks ❤️

Prime Styles: Thanks you so much for this ❤️❤️

Teresa knaff: Thank you for this video.... Definitely a game changer

Shaneqia Montgomery: Learn something new daily, thank you ✨

Unknown: For the hair that you wrapped around the loc did you separate it ? If so how many times

shola: Thanks for this technique ..gonna give it a try.

Jacky Lovett: What do you do with the ends of the wrapping hair to seal it? Also do I have to wrap the hair all the way to the end of the loc?

Rovalia Brown: Thankyou so much for this tutorial

Tawanda Thomas: Hi. When u fluff out the spring twist hair do u split it into two pieces and use ONE piece of it to wrap around?

Kay Davis: How Do you twist them all the way down if the hair isn’t long enough? And what hair do you use?

swvay riya: i have a question when beginning the parting is it just a regular braid or are you plaquing it?

Cassybfit: So once you loop the crochet loc in are you pulling the braid or the end of the loc through to secure, I cannot tell from the video bc your hand was blocking the view? Best technique and best looking flat results I've seen on here thus far.

Tyronica Quinn: I'm definitely trying these tonight.

NUNUDIDON: How many inches did you use for the spring twist?

KeepingUpWith Dorch: These are so beautiful & neat but now I wanna try them wit this method. It definitely look natural Good job ms mamas & if you in Chicago let me know so I can book

Its_dayday: Thank you!! I hate the look of the half textured and the rest regular. When I do it myself, I go all the way down with the wrapping hair.

Danya Thorpe: what inch of spring twist did you use?

Rah Vibes: Great Job best wishes on your channel.

Brenda Sollers: Hey,so when you do start this are you using the spring twist hair first?

LaShana Hayes: How do you get the hair that you wrapped to stay at the ends? I couldn’t see that part in the video

Ja: How long did it take to complete with parting included?

Myaa_Uzumaki: Okay i have a question. i do my own butterfly locs and i always use freetress waterwave n it always worked with me, like it never unraveled or anything. can i use that instead of the spring twist?

Michelle Azoro: What did u use to twist the loc ?

Akilah Julette: How long did this style take? I’m thinking about trying this out.

Tania Janae: Does parting the hair naturally take less time rather than doing neat parts??

Soraya Pierre: can we take a moment to admire how beautiful your client is

Dayana Clark: These look amazing abt to try the same method on myself. How many packs of nu loc did you use ?

Weirdyfulxo: man that’s so smart because i’m TWA and i did these on my hair, it was so tight and stiff. i took them down 3days later

Serria Seigler: So happy I’m finding out how people are getting them to move so freely

LeeLee Michelle: How do you keep the spring twist from un twisting?

Kandiss Morgan: Good job!

Swain Alexandrea: how long did the whole thing take and where did you get the little pieces of hair that u wrapped around

Optimus Qween: Are u wrapping til the end of hair and what do u use so they won't unravel at the ends?

Grace Richard: These are bomb, but by any chance do you know how many braids you braided her hair into?

Blessing Lucky: Where did she get the extra piece for wrapping the hair

Mekkedah Grant: How Many Inches Was The Spring Twist You Use ?

Cherry H: Gurl gurl gurl... I've been asking myself the same question about wrapping half the lock and leaving the rest unwrapped. And then they have the nerve to have goddess ends. that's 3 textures, literally

Daniell ModestPaws: New friends here.❤this is cute af you Slayed it mama

Hope: I ordered the hair from your link❤️

50kbratMiya: How long it took you to do the soft locs

Ihate Spam: I gave the video a like, naturally. I loved the idea of starting the hair a bit down the braid. but I would've like to have seen a smoother wrap.

tetnstr08: What inch of the spring twist did you use?

TheKylaImanii: Did you use anything to keep the spring twist hair around the loc or did you just wrap it tightly at the end?

Alyssa Wright: How many packs of hair do you recommend getting like how many packs of locs and spring twist ?

Kaylin Puckett: So I’m like 4”11 or 5 feet in I order 36 inc locs so how long would they be on me?
