Hey Curlfriends,

So this was a very impromptu hairstyle. I used whatever I had at the house. As you may now know, I did not have a crochet needle so I had to improvise! This was a good challenge for me. I like to find multiple ways to accomplish something so I hope this method is easy for you all to follow. I know it's not traditional but it works!

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, thank you so much for tuning in to another video. So i want to go ahead and just jump right in because, as you guys see, i've already started this style. So what i'm doing is i'm doing? I guess you, i guess you could call them crochet twists. I haven't been using a crochet needle though, because i don't have one and when i decided when i decided to do this hairstyle, it was very last minute, like i literally just woke up and just started doing my hair. So i'm like okay, let me sit down and film it so yeah i didn't have a crochet needle, so i'm going to show you guys how i've been um applying this hair. I have been using rubber bands, so i've been doing the same method as the crochet method, just without the crochet needle okay, so yeah. I i wanted to just do twists, but i wanted to add some length to them. So you know this is what i ended up with, so i already did two rows and i'll turn around and show you guys. I'Ve already done two rows. I did the best that i could with parting. You guys know it's so hard to part the back of your head by yourself, but they're pretty much. You know clean enough for the most part, so yeah, that's what i've been doing so the hair that i'm using is jamaican twist hair and it's the same hair that i used to do my faux locs. I had a bunch of hair left over um and i used this hair to wrap my locs. So now, i'm using it to just do some nice really easy, really simple, um crochet twist or just even um kinky twists. Keep it simple kinky twist. So when i go to twist my hair, all i do is i just pull out. You know one little piece out of the bundle and you know twist it into my hair and that's the twist. So my hair is freshly washed and the products that i've been using. I have been using uncle funky's midnight train. I have been using afrosheen's crown, defining curl cream. I'Ve also been using my murray's beeswax and then the last product i'm using is my let's jam extra hold okay, so those are the four products i've been using. I'Ve also, like i said, been using rubber bands um doing the rubber band method. So let me go ahead and just walk you guys through this process. Alright, so i've got my next row parted and i will show you guys then i'm going to make my first part for this section all right. So i've got my first section here. I'M going to spray my leave-in and this hairstyle should not take you all day like i really would flew through these twists. So this should be a quick, easy twist style. Then i'm going to apply my crown defining curl cream because you got to make sure that you're moisturizing your hair and taking care of your actual natural hair. In these styles, then, what i'm going to do is take a little bit of let's jam and i'm going to apply it at the root of my hair, all right so now, it's time to add the feed in hair. So i've got my piece of hair that i'm going to use and what i've been doing, because i don't have a crochet needle all i've been doing is splitting my section in half right then i take my hair and i put it in the middle and then I close my hair back right, so i push this all the way up to the root. Then i grab my rubber band and tie it off and tighten it all right. So now the feeding hair is attached to my real hair and i'm just going to twist regularly as if this hair came right out of my head, so i just grab a little bit more, let's jam and start twisting, so i'm all about finessing these hairstyles okay, I did not have a crochet needle, but i knew that i was gon na have some twists today, so i made it work, please, if you guys, if you do, have a crochet needle, please use one. This is just for. If you do not have a crochet needle, but you still want to get that crochet effect, it is possible to finesse and still accomplish the hairstyle that you want so days. So so so, oh all right. So this hairstyle got me feeling myself like this is so cute. I should have done these a lot sooner, like twists, kinky twists, senegalese twist smarly twist, i don't know the difference, okay, but what i do know is that these twists are super cute and i'm very pleased with the way that they turned out. Okay yeah. So i finished up the twist and i love them so much like when i tell y'all i'm feeling myself right now, i'm feeling myself right now: okay, i don't get these instagram pictures today, okay, all right but yeah. So the last step that i did was to dip them in hot water, and then i put a little bit of um foam on top of them and just tied my hair down and i'm i love it. I'M glad my little impromptu protective style. I love it. It did not take me too long. I actually blew through them, which i think just comes from me. Naturally, you know i have natural hair capabilities and i'm just naturally gifted at doing my hair. So yeah it went really quick. So i hope that this tutorial um showed you guys a new way of doing twists. Um if you happen to not have a crochet needle. I hope that this tutorial helped you figure out that you can still achieve the look. You want without a crochet needle okay, because look i'm the type of person that like when i want to do something go somewhere. You know i want something to happen. I'M gon na make it happen period. I don't care. What'S lacking, i don't care, what's not ready. What'S missing, i'ma find a way: okay, i'm just that person who's gon na. Do that i'm gon na get my way regardless so yeah. I'M super super pleased um. I definitely really like using the beeswax with this hair um. This is actually my first time applying this jamaican twist hair into my actual hair, because when i do use the jamaican twist hair, i use it to wrap my faux locs. So i use regular braiding hair and then i wrap - i use a jamaican twist here to wrap that. So this is my first time using it for twists and oh my gosh. I love it. You guys, i can't stop touching it this. This hairstyle definitely suits me. I'M really really pleased, so let me move back a bit, so you guys can see how long it is and it looks like it's. My hair, like it literally looks like it came out of my scalp. The rubber band method did so well made my hair. Look really really neat and it made the process a little bit easier, um, because i know there is another way to do twists, just like these, where you actually twist it into the hair and then twist it, but i think the rubber band method, definitely especially if You'Re not trying to spend all day doing this hairstyle, definitely the upper band method, so all the products that i used, i will link in the description in case. I missed something i kind of just hopped on camera and started the video. So hopefully, it's not too over the all over the place, but i'll be sure to tag everything that i used in the description, the hair, the products um. How long it took all of that? Okay, i'll even add the foam that i used to put on to my hair and to tie it down so yeah. I'M going to show you guys some close-ups and final looks. Thank you so much for tuning into this twist tutorial. I hope that it was really easy for you to follow. I try to make all my videos pretty easy and just show you guys exactly the way that i do it because, even though i may not follow the traditional methods of doing your hair they're, my methods and they work for me and my hair be popping y'all. Can'T tell me otherwise, okay, so thank you guys so much for tuning in to this video and i'll, see you guys in the next one bye guys you
