Mini Braids (No Weave) Natural Hair Protective Style For Length Retention

Hi guys welcome back to my channel. Thank you so much for clicking on this video to check it out. I know it's been a minute since I made a video for you guys, but I felt the need to come on and give you guys a hair update and show you. My latest set of me braids, my protective style. Most of you who have been subscribed for a while know that I did a set last year, and this is actually my third set since I have been natural, but you can see how they look last year versus how they look now. So I have a lot of leave and I'm excited about it. They were actually a little bit longer, but they shrunk up um after I Co washed and all that stuff like that. But I've been absolutely loving. This set of mini braids. If you want to see how I do them like, I say you can check out my store from last year. It'S the same exact method. The only thing is, I did these a little bit smaller and my goal, for that was to like kind of like make. It look a little bit more full and I was hoping they will last longer and if you are new to like all the different and protective stuff going on here. Okay, if you're new to all the different like protective style techniques that are popular, many berries, are not that that popular, I feel like they're gaining popularity. But many twists are more popular and, as we have a video on those as well as well as some styles, that will probably work with these as well, so many brace and mini twists are very similar. The only difference really is that, of course mini braids or braids, and many twists or twists, but for me and my hair type, how my hair is like super curly, you guys can see. Of course you know my hair, so curly um, the mini braids, tend to last me better, like they are more long-term for me, because I can wash my hair. I can do so much with it and I don't have to worry about them unravel, because when I did do many twins, they took the same amount of time. They took a long time to do. Then they only last me for like two weeks because they started to literally unravel on me, but with these um I braid it done like all the way to the end as I could, and then you know over the weeks then wrap it a little bit on The ends but not much and then my ends curl up, so I mean it looks nice, but I don't have to worry about. You know them unraveling, all the way to the top and just coming undone by themselves. My hair is frizzy at the root. You can see - and I don't really mind the phrase that much because to me in my opinion, when these start to grow out, they look better on me because it gives like more volume effect and more fullness. Now, with the mini twists, that's instant because twists are, you know like to twist now like two pieces of hair twist it around and it's fuller than I'm great, because a braid is going to be more like skinny. So I have a big head - and I like for my hair, to be big because it helps my hair look, not so big but of course, with this style, my hair is going to look bigger because of the fact that this kind of like decreases the volume Of my hair, so I like to do things like um cuz in a braid I've done a twist out and that kind of helps up for you and also as it gets older. You can seem like I've got gotten a little bit of new growth and stuff, but you know the new growth comes, and then I get a little bit more phrased and I actually like that. Look for this particular style because makes it look a little bit more. Fuller, more filled in, and everything like that, so I like that about it, and it took me about three or four days working like two or three hours a day. So it does take a lot of time. So it's good because it pays off in the end and it lasts a long long time. So I will be uploading a daily routine for you guys to show you like what I do on a daily basis like on a regular day. I also um co-wash every week and I've been deep conditioning it weekly as well. So I'm going to be updating you guys on things I've been using for my hair, um I'll show you a few products right now that I'd like to use. Of course, my infusion 23 - this has been so so great for my hair. I'Ve been using it. I started using it when I had went to the lightest blonde color and I've been using it since, and it's really really good for my hair. I use the shampoo condition what I'm going to do an update it um review for that as well. But I love love, love it. This is my go-to and if I'm not using this, I'm using just like some water and then I use like a sealant either grease oil. Something like that and then, like I said, I'm doing protein treatment see conditioning treatments. So that's about it. I'M really enjoying the mini braids so far you guys I'm loving them very little maintenance. I feel like they're serving their purpose, we'll see if I feel that way after I take them down, and I go through that whole process I'm taking them down, but I'm not going to worry about that right now. I'M just gon na you know think about enjoying them.
