Luxy Hair 20" Ponytail Extension | Dark Brown Balayage

Hi guys welcome back to my channel in today's video i'm going to be reviewing a ponytail hair extension from lexi hair. As you guys can see by the title. It is a 20 inch human hair extension and i'm going to show you guys how i apply it. I did decide to go with the dark brown, balayage, hair extension piece and the reason i chose that hair piece is because i don't plan to add any hair dye for maybe another few months, because my hair has definitely been growing. I'M not sure if you guys have been with me for some time. But if you haven't, i previously had a little bob haircut and it's just been growing and it's been getting thicker. So i'm just trying to keep up with the maintenance of my hair and just keeping it feeling it as healthy as possible, because i've just been dyed. My hair for so long. That'S just a little back story on to why i chose this hair color because it is a dark, ponytail, hair extension that just fades out to a lighter, like i don't even know how to describe it, because there's not really a lot of pictures for this. I'M going to put a picture right over here, so you guys can see what is shown on the lexi here website. So you guys, you know, like it's, just really difficult, to be able to tell what it's going to look like in person. So that's why i'm making this video? For you guys. I am a lexi here affiliate. This is what the ponytail arrives in. It looks exactly the same as the other hair extensions that i've reviewed, except that this right here says ponytail extension, not just hair extensions. So once you open it up, it's going to be the same thing as the other one. Unless it's your first time watching me, then it is new to you. So once you open it up, it's gon na look like this and there's gon na be a little sample weft for you guys to try out uh. I have no idea what happened to it. Honestly, i've been wearing this ponytail a lot, so i i lost a little weft, so the purpose of that weft is for you to try it out and see if it is the hair color that you want to keep because right over here, there's stickers that you're, Not supposed to remove unless you're happy with the weft, because if you are not happy with the weft you're able to return your hair extension for another ponytail that you like. But if you do remove the sticker you're not able to return them. So just be sure that you are happy with the weft, the color of the weft. Now once you remove it, i'm going to show you guys what the ponytail looks like it is human hair. So you are able to dye this ponytail piece which is really important to me, because my hair fades - and maybe i might want to dye it. So that's why i just like: that's why i prefer everything to be human hair, so i just feel the most confident with human hair extensions, and this here is a human hair ponytail. So this here is what the ponytail looks like this root area is definitely my hair color and then it just starts to go into like a blonde balayage, as you guys can see here and then towards the very bottom. It becomes completely blonde well sort of from what you guys can see on the website, there's not much to like see on there about this ponytail piece. You guys it's like inspiring me to dye my hair, all like like a balayage like this, should i do it, i'm gon na be getting some new luxy hair extensions, the clip and hair extensions that are the dark brown balayage kind of like this here. So i'm looking forward to trying that out, um but yeah. Now i'm going to go ahead and show you guys how i apply my ponytail hair extension. So if you guys want to see how i put it on then just keep watching. So i'm going to just start off by putting my hair up into a ponytail and just do any regular ponytail. I have so much product in my hair that it just feels super stiff right now it just happens every time. I straighten my hair and i prefer my hair to be straightened because i do have kind of like wavyish hair and it just doesn't blend all that. Well with the ponytail um, so i just rather have it straight now. Listen, i'm not saying that. I don't like my own hair. I just like changing it up. You know like the more you change up your hairstyle like it just gives you a different look. So here is my little ponytail. So here is what my ponytail looks like i look. I i feel, like i look really funny with short hair, because it's like super thin, i don't know, i just have a funky shaped head and i don't like it okay, so i kind of want to clean up my ponytail just a little bit because i have All these little baby hairs down here and then all these right here, i'm going to be using this edge tamer that i bought off of amazon. If you guys are interested in it i'll have it linked down below, for you guys, and i just take a little brush like this one i'll also have this one linked down below for you guys, if you guys, are interested in any of these products. Everything'S going to be down below in my description box, i just do like having the edge tamer and this here, because whenever i do my daughter's hair, she has a lot of little baby hairs and i just like to like you know, fix them up. So she, you know she has a clean little hairstyle. So all i'm gon na be doing is dipping this little toothbrush looking brush once i've done that i'm just going to go ahead and slick some of this hair back, just where i feel is necessary, because i don't have that much like small little hairs everywhere. It'S just like right in this area, for some reason can't do nothing about this widow's peak. I'M just going to go ahead and continue doing the same thing over to the back of the hair and just to secure that hair. I'M going to be taking some bobby pins and just putting this back part, so we don't continue having the problem throughout the day. So now with me personally, i do like to have a little bit of hair down the side like where the sideburns are just like that and then the rest. Let'S just go ahead and tame them back. Okay, so now we can go ahead and apply the ponytail extension from lexi here, there's velcro on here, which is how you tie it around the ponytail. So this part just goes wrapped around so that you are you're not able to see this part, oh and by the way it does come with two little bobby pins, so i'm gon na be using that i actually haven't used them because i have other bobby pins. But these match the hair piece just right, because these are they kind of like remind me of an ash blonde. It'S not like a dark dark brown, so we'll try that out. So what i like to do with this little comb part that you guys are seeing right here that i'm gon na use it towards this, like maybe like a little bit further away from where the ponytail is just so that we get a good hold. Okay, so tuck that little comb right underneath the ponytail and with this little short piece, you're gon na tuck it under and you're gon na pull tightly tightly around the ponytail to meet the other side. So you're gon na continue to bring this strand and wrap it around, make sure that it is tight and because you are wrapping it around, it is hiding your actual hair inside. But that's why i wanted to make sure that my ponytail was straight because if it is, if your ponytail is wavy, it's going to start peeking through and you'll. Be able to see all that. So now taking a bobby pin you're going to go ahead and make sure that you hold on to that other end of the. What do you call it? The wrap around thing you can put the second one just to make sure it's secured and just tuck tuck. It in underneath that ponytail, so once it is properly secured, i did put one of the bobby pins right up here, just to secure it secure it all around. This is what it should look like pretty thin, not super high kind of like ariana grande's. I really don't like how high her ponytail is. That'S just like my personal preference. I like mine, to look a little bit more on the natural side um, but yeah. This is pretty like sturdy. It'S not going to go anywhere because that comb is like tucked right. Underneath that ponytail piece - and i did put these bobby pins to secure it right here and then a couple right down here - um, so the wraparound doesn't go anywhere so yeah. This is what the ponytail looks like from the front can't even tell, but once you bring it forward, that's where the magic is like. I previously told you guys: this is a human hair extension. So if you do not like it looking straight, you can definitely curl it, which i'm gon na do for you guys right now by the way. This is what the 20 inch hair ponytail looks like on me: i'm only 4 foot 11. So it does come down. Pretty long and yeah to curl my hair, i'm gon na go ahead and divide the ponytail into two sides like this. I'M gon na begin by taking kind of small sections and i'm going to just curl it with my straightener i'm going to bring that over. So that it doesn't get in the way i'm going to curl this one in, i don't like to add any product or hairspray to my hair extensions, because that just means i'm gon na have to oh. You can see my hair right there. You see that because i'm gon na have to end up washing them, and i don't like washing my hair extensions all that, often because the more you wash them, the more you start to lose hair and fullness in any hair extension that you have so just try To limit the product used on your hair extensions, these human hair extensions actually hold a curl throughout the day, so you don't have to um, be adding any like hair spray, or anything like that. Unless you're going to like a really formal event where your hair is like, they have to stay like super curly and i'm saying kind of like wedding like a wedding event or like a prom event. That'S when i would um that's when i would add some product in it, but aside from that, like going out to the club going on a date, i would not add any product see my hair stays tucked under like in between this ponytail wrap. So it's not important that i curl it, but i did anyway, i'm gon na go ahead and repeat the same exact step over to this side and yeah. Okay. Here we are the only product that i would use. Um i just actually ran out of it is one from tg. It'S just like a finishing spray, i'll go ahead and put it right over here. It'S like a blue bottle and i just love how like it makes your hair look, really shiny and it has like a little bit of a hole to it. But it's just it's called masterpiece and it just adds the shine and it smells really good. I recommend it to you guys if you guys want to just add shine even just to your natural hair, not just to this hair piece but to your natural hair. I highly recommend it i'll. Curled, i feel like it adds a little bit more fullness to your ponytail as well, and it's not just so flat and straight. I like it more with curl and just more. You know bounciness and if you guys are curious to know if it's heavy, obviously there's like a hairpiece 120 grams, i believe on your head, so you're definitely going to feel the weight. But it's not like super heavy to where, like you're like. I need to get this off of my head. I'Ve worn it throughout the day and i absolutely have no issues with the weight of this hairpiece, so just thought. I should throw that out there and yeah. You can just run your fingers through it just to kind of like add a little bit more of that fullness just to loosen up the waves a little bit and there you have it all right guys, so that wraps it up for this video here.
