Easy Clip In Hair Extension Tutorial For Short Hair | Pixie Cut To Long Hair

All right so today we are going to add extensions to my pixie cut. I recently got a pixie cut and i don't mind it. Let me fix this, i don't mind it, but let's be real. I miss my long hair uh. It is growing out. So i'm happy about it, but i do want to feel a little normal and like myself again so let's go ahead and put on some extensions. Okay, so the first thing i would suggest is getting two packs um. I happen to have these for a while now and i will show you the difference between the two. I got these bags off amazon i'll link them below. Just to organize my extensions, not that i have many, i have like three, i have short and long. So they look like this and wavy wait. Does it have a gray hair? What my extension has a gray hair? Do you see that? Okay? Do you see that it has a gray hair? I mean it makes it more realistic now and it's someone's hair, they're kind of creepy. Now that you think about it, i got it. It'S low-key creepy. They have someone else's hair on your head, but i need it. Thank you for your services, whoever donated their hair. There are two different types. These are kind of. I guess like the regular extensions that are kind of sewed and they're a little bit thicker, whereas the ones that i suggest getting for this are these type with um. A thinner band, they kind of blend better in the scalp. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to use the thicker bands for the bottom and the thinner bands for the top i'm going to start on the bottom with a three clip. So you want to get maybe an inch above where your hair normally grows. Okay, that looks good and then get maybe a little larger and put it about a half inch above that one. You could get your cone and lift and i clip it right starting there. Okay, so i kind of feel it that it stops here, because obviously i don't have one long enough for my big dome. So let's get another one and we'll start on this side. Let me make sure that it's the length yeah so again do it. On this side grab garbage, so the purpose of this is just to kind of give obviously length, but you need a little bit of hair to cover up the extension. So, even if you have like one inch, hair it'll work, if you have maybe a buzz cut, this won't work. Obviously, let's keep adding now i just have like a little bullet. That'S what sucks about my growth is the fact that i have so much volume at the top, so it looks crazy right now. I kind of want to focus on the thin thin band extensions like very top um and then obviously, these um, i'm just gon na - add it here well, like i said, if you're barely purchasing the extensions get the thin band, it's the best. Okay, i mean. Maybe there is a better way to do this, it's more organized than this, but like all right, so we have maybe half of our hair in. Let me know what it looks like in the back, so you want to make sure that you're again leaving a little bit of hair - and i don't remember where i got these extensions - i want to say maybe glam scene is seamless. I think that's the brand. My hair's sticking out actually that looks so good, like i'm already starting to feel like myself again. The confidence hair gives you, let's see insane in the membrane. Okay, you're just going to keep repeating that section off a half an inch and then add extensions, half an inch at extensions, pretty much till we get to the top i'm starting to look somewhat normal. Is this crazy because i think this is crazy hi? So it's future wendy editing this video and i don't know about you, but that freaking squeaking, chair bro, my bad honestly. I didn't realize that my chair squeaks so much i either have to get a new one or put some oil in it. It'S so annoying the back. It'S literally the trickiest part for this. I feel like this one's going to show we're gon na. Do everything in our power for it to not show oh, my gosh, my head feels so heavy. Now again, i'm just seeing how it looks and play it by ear. Everybody'S head is different. I just want to show you that it is possible to put extensions in a pixie cut and make it look somewhat normal. Obviously, it's not going to look the most natural, but it's passable. You know, okay and the best for it to look the most natural is when it's not like freshly washed. I just washed my hair yesterday, so it's poofier than i would normally like it, but it is what it is. So. The last extension i'm gon na put in is right here at the top, maybe a half an inch before my hairline parts and i'm just gon na. Add it all right. Next, i'm gon na go in with this wax. You could go in with gel, but i think wax is just a little bit better for this situation that we got going on here. I got like a little bit like a little dollop and just focus it on your actual hair. I try not to put it on the extension as much and then just brushing it through your actual hair at the top, so it blends the extension of the extension in a little bit nicer. Okay, so i wanted to give a little correction, not really a correction, but a better way to flatten out the top. If wax or gel doesn't work, you can always use a straightener and straighten the hair out. I think i just didn't want to use any heat in my new regrowth that i just wanted to stick to wax, but that is also an option, so it can blend seamlessly with the extensions okay. So i'm going to go check in natural lighting, because this indoor lighting can be deceiving. So i went to go check in natural lighting and you want to make sure that on the side that you're not parting or you don't have bangs that you leave about an inch from starting, because i had started a little too close to the hairline that you Could see it because i don't have obviously that much hair here um so now i can't see nothing and then just go in with your comb, all right and you're good to go girl all right. That is the final look from the beginning. So tell me why? I looked at the back of my head and it does look like it's showing okay, so i put an extension in like right in the back. So how does it look better right again? Like i said, this is not going to be perfect, but it is possible to somewhat pull it off, especially if you're going out at night no one's going to really be looking at your head that much you know i'm going somewhere during the day. So that's my concern. I'M gon na ask my friend, though i'm gon na ask if you can see, but again i could be fidgeting fidgeting with my hair for the longest time, but i just wanna. You know it is where it is from what you saw earlier to this. It'S a huge improvement. Let me just put it there that if you just want a little pick-me-up, this is good, also make sure that you actually get the right color hair, because if it's off by like a little bit, it's gon na look fake. And i tell you that, because i did that so the original extensions that i started having well the original extensions i got were these, which are an off black kind of like dark brown off black. These, i think, are a black and they don't really match my scalp, because it's not like my natural hair isn't black. It'S like off black, so you can tell a little bit like a tiny bit, i'm a perfectionist, so i can tell right away. Let me also put a little bit of hairspray on the back of my this. Oh that looks so much better. Look at it. I'M dead, it looks the same. This tutorial doesn't work for you, just use it as pure comedy and i'm not gon na lie. I actually left for dinner. Looking like this put a hairspray, are you joking? It looks so much better. I should have done well learning as i go, but that's the fun of this. How does it look? What will also help - and that helped me - is that obviously i'm filming this, so i got to watch it back and i saw the back of my head and that's why i knew i had to add another clip in there.
