Half Up Half Down Quick Weave | No Leave Out

Hey everyone welcome or welcome back to your girls channel. If you are new, my name is jamala and in today's video we're just gon na get into this look here that you are seeing just this little quick, weave, half up half down style that i decided to do on myself. So if you'd like to see how i achieved this look just stay tuned and let's get started after washing my hair, i just went ahead and blow dried it as straight as i could get it. I do have thick hair and it is growing, even though i cut it recently. However, i do have to go in and do things according to my hair type. So there are certain steps that i will say that you may not have to do. It'S all just dependent on your hair type and the amount of hair that you have so i'm gon na go ahead and first just part, my hair in half or basically, where i want my ponytail to be for the top half and then i'll come back and Start braiding the bottom, so i do braid the bottom of my hair, where i'm going to lay the tracks, instead of just doing like the molding technique, where i just do a ponytail and then like flip the ponytail over. I just have too much hair for that and i feel like braids just give me a flatter install. So that's what i decided to do for this install and then i just make sure that the braids are. As far as i can do, i'm not going to like go in and do like small braids just to get a flat install like you, don't got to do all that girl because i didn't plan on doing all that. However, i am going to go ahead and braid them as nice and neat as i feel i need to just to make sure that it is as flat as possible. Now that i have everything braided down in the back, i like to apply two of the wig caps. I apply two just to make sure that i don't get any of the glue and it just you know, gives that extra barrier, and i also go around the perimeter, not the top of where my braids begin, but just the like bottom perimeter of my hair. Just to make sure that you know the wig cap doesn't go anywhere. It just gives me that sense of security that i need, because i don't need nothing flying anywhere or coming off, so you can skip that step. If you don't feel like you need that, but you can just go ahead and apply got to be that's what i like to do. It also just adds an extra barrier. You can also skip that, if you don't have that or you just don't feel like using that, i like to go in with this protective shield, and it should look like this after you blow dry it. I did not show that on camera make sure you do blow dry it or it's not going to work so once you cut it off, it's just all going to be molded into place. This is the hair that i use um. I did not place it. The right way up forward but i'll, have everything linked below, of course, so the hair that i am using, you know the tick tock girls put me on to they've been using this type of hair like the synthetic like 10 pack hair, and you know just doing Their little quick weave, they did a lot of the um like highlighted ones. That was like trending on tick-tock too, so you know i went ahead and i bought it and you know i wanted to see what was to it but yeah. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for something that is cheaper or you're just looking to do like a quick hairstyle that slides you a couple days definitely go ahead and do that girl. It'S not gon na break the bank. Oh uh, some passionate fashion. For my ponytail i like to use the edge wax and also gossipy, i start by using the edge wax and just make sure that i comb that through this is just like the placement of my ponytail. This is not going to be like the final result, but i do like to go ahead and just make sure i comb that through. I was saying that some people are saying that not to use this because it leaves a white cast and i do find that that sometimes happens. But they weren't giving me like the details on what else to use. So if y'all know what else to use or what do you guys use um, preferably not like gel, because my hair will revert quickly um, i tend to only use gel when i have like my natural hair but yeah. If i have it straight, that's not going to work, but, as you can see, i kind of went in a little heavy on the guys to be so. It is starting to like do that. Little white cast, but i fixed it at the end. So don't worry but yeah any recommendations. Let me know because i'm trying to figure it out and they talking about come today, class and i'm like girl. I don't do this on a regular, so y'all, just let me know down below for my ponytail. I just do my regular method that i always do where i use just a rubber band. So if you don't know that method definitely go ahead and check out some of my previous videos, where i explained a little bit better. I did not really show it in this video, but i can go ahead and explain it just a tad bit. I just wrap the end of a rubber band around the end of the track and wrap that around where i braided my hair, and then i just wrapped the tracks around. That'S literally all that i do i like to do it this way, because i don't tend to keep hairstyles in that long and also it allows me to be able to redo the ponytail easier without having to go in with glue and do all that extra stuff. I definitely was surprised i actually enjoyed doing this hairstyle, because you know it turned out pretty good for the price of the bundles. I was surprised by the quality um.
