Everyone is actually - and today I am talking about so in maintenance - so I'm showing you how I shampoo my hair conditioned my hair, how I make sure that my braids, underneath my soin are completely dry, the tonic that I use to moisturize and just access, my scalp. So I keep my hair, my natural hair, fresh and clean and growing, underneath this protective style, and then I show you how I blow-dry my hair. I don't show you how I flat under my hair, because I flat out on my hair enough on this channel. You guys know how I Flatiron at this point so without further ado: let's go ahead and jump right into the sewing maintenance; okay guys. So I'm going to start off by drenching my hair in water and I'm taking my mane and tail shampoo. I just picked this up from my local beauty supply store. I don't have a rhyme or a reason for using the mane n tail shampoo. It'S just what I had on hand, I'm going to take my Denman brush and I'm just going to run my Denman brush through my hair after I've applied the shampoo I like to work in just two sections, one on the left side, one on the right side And then I take additional shampoo shampoo, my edges shampoo, the back of my head, because there some hair left out there as well. I really like to massage my actual head and use my nails since they are long acrylic nails, I kind of like to just like scratch my closure scratch underneath my closure run my my nails through my braiding pattern. This is a net weave, so it's like a sew-in with the knit. So that's why I'm you saw me take my nails and kind of like move, the no sew it around so now, I'm taking my main entail conditioner again. This is just a product that I picked up from my local beauty, supply store no rhyme or reason, but I'm just going to apply that all over my hair. Also on my edges in the back of my head and then I'm going to put on a shower cap. This is usually the part when I'm not recording, of course, usually part where I would go in and actually take a shower and the the reason why I put the shower cap on is to get some heat in there from the steam in the shower, but to Also get my hair out of the way so that I can wash my body, so I did take a shower before I film this, so I just kind of like hung around for like five minutes, and then I washed it off. So I'm just like washing the conditioner out, but I like to really stand under the faucet for quite some time to make sure all of the conditioner is out and excuse me, I'm a bit congested, so I've turned the faucet off and now I'm just going to Take this Victoria's Secret, pink, long-sleeve shirt. I put it over my head, like I'm putting it on and then I twist the sleeves around and then I keep twisting and keep twisting and then I twist it around itself. So a lot of people ask me how I get my hair tied up like that. I don't use towels on my hair. I don't use towels on my natural hair or on my extension. So this is how I tie my hair up, so I don't put any additional products on comb my hair out and sit under the hood of dryer for 45 minutes. That is how I dry my braids, underneath my soin. Now I'm taking me design essentials, peppermint and aloe tonic. This is a tonic, not an oil, so I love the fact that it doesn't leave my hair greasy. It doesn't leave me feeling like way down or anything like that, and it has peppermint to really give me that refreshing, clean feeling, and then it has aloe to really sood my scalp. So I just take the little. What'S that thing called, I guess, a little dropper and since I have a net weave like I said, I just take the dropper and put it in just different sections of my hair and just kind of like rub my my sewing back and forth and that really Cleanses and cleans my scalp now I'm going to take my red pro blow-dryer and it just has like that. Little comb attachment I just blow dry, my hair make sure it's 100 % completely dry. So it doesn't really take me that long to blow-dry my hair I'll switch from the comb attachment to using a brush to using a comb whatever it takes to get my hair completely dry and that's it. This whole process takes about two hours and then I'm done. Okay, guys, that is it. That is how I maintain my sew ins, that is my wash routine. This is how I washed every single so in I know people think that it may be different for, like curly hair body, weave, hair, deep wave, hair straight hair nope, I wash my hair the exact same way. My products do differ from time to time. It just depends on what I have on hand, but this is exactly what I do just to maintain my sew ins. I keep my someone's up for a month and this is unis hair by the way, our only wear units here and I have the details before this hair on the screen. I also have it in the description box down below, so you can expand that click down there. The link to my stylist style, seat, Bri Nicole, it will be down there anything else. You need to know we'll be down there as well. So that is pretty much it. I hope you guys found this helpful if you did give this video a big thumbs up, leave me a comment down below if you found it helpful. If you have any questions anything like that, I want to hear from you guys and until next time stay beautiful. I love you guys. Bye

It's just Estelle: I think my main reason for not getting sew ins is the washing process. I don't know why it seems so difficult for me to get it to my own hair while i have it in. Love the videos ashley <3 !

Fayy Lenee: Thanks so much for this video girl! Super helpful! I got my first sew in a few months ago and am planning to get another one once I take my braids out so this is good info. PrettyMajor Maddie: I’m so glad this is a tutorial on a netted sew in !!

Maryann A: This is so helpful! I got my first sew in last month and washing it has been annoying. This really helps. Thanks for the tips on the tonic too!

Tre Berry: I'll definitely be trying that tonic for my itchy scalp

✨ M Rosé_95 ✨: This was super helpful! I had no idea that the tonic can help maintain a healthy scalp. (I was originally thinking on just using almond oil and using a suctioner to get underneath the netting.) Thank you so much for these tips. ✌

Kayla Jones-James: love your hair and wash routine! and I will definitely try that tonic for my scalp!

pnky2006: That bottle you used in step 4 I use one of those to get shampoo and conditioner to my braids to make sure my braids abs scalp are clean.

Monsie Babe: So informative thank you. Can I ask if you reinstall your sew ins? I love that you use sew ins as it is a real test of the hair and yours looked good after you washed and styled it but only wearing them for a month seems quite a short amount of time great video btw

I Am Lady Kel: loving your video it would be amazing if I could find that design essentials tonic, I personally know the brand is amazing I have used products from them I just haven't used that one

Anna Marie Ponds-Velez: Very helpful thank you so much!!! I had my first sew in and with the Corona Virus can't go back to my hairdresser, so it's DIY for now.

Pia Copeland: Hi Ashley I really enjoy your page. I have a question... I recently had a sew in install about 1 month ago. Do you recommend doing hi and low lights to the human hair.? Is it recommended? My weave seems like it’s going bad . It gets matted and I’ve conditioned it. My hair dresser said it’s probably due to the chemicals placed on the weave to color. ( I have quality virgin unprocessed hair)
