Did I have heat damage after using this time out, hair straightener did My Curls revert back? Do My Curls over back as a person who blow dries their hair on a regular basis? Well, if you're a person who always has their curls reverting back right after they get their flat iron or you experience heat damage or your flat iron just never turns out right. Then this is the video for you, so keep on watching and give this video a thumbs up exactly remember now, before we get all started, make sure you go ahead and subscribe here to my channel and then click on that Bell notification, so you're notified every time. I post another video now this clip this planned right now is the last time I straightened my hair with this taimo hair straightener, and one of the main questions that everyone was asking was: is your hair going to revert back? Do you have heat damage? Well, you guys this is my hair about almost a month, no not a month, maybe like two weeks later after I straighten my hair. I kept it straight for about a week and then I shampooed my hair blow dried it again and put braids in and now we're here, taking these braids out. Okay, before we do anything, I want to show you guys what scientific brushing is within the seven day challenge. Everybody knows exactly how to apply scientific brushing and you know what to do with it. But this is how you add scientific brushing to your wash day and most people - people don't realize this, but when you go into the hair salon we automatically do scientific brushing. It is a part of the deal. My lips are moving Guru, VIP, we'll get the unedited version of this video, but let's get into it. So the very first thing that I am going to do is make sure that my entire head is detangled right. But the main purpose of me doing this in the first place is to remove the dead skin from my scalp and from my hair shaft. I am also removing bacteria and any type of product buildup that there is right. So what you're seeing me do right now is just go through, assess my hair and feel it don't rush, be in a good mood, be in good energy right, because it's self-care day so, first up what I'm going to do is take this tool. Links can be found in the description box below and I'm going to Simply part off my hair, I'm doing this all over my entire scalp and as I take these small partings, I am just simply aiding my scalp and getting rid of these dead skin cells. Remember I always tell you guys that the average person has skin cell turnover week is every 28 days right. Every 28 days, the dead skin cells on your scalp die off, they fall off and their new cells make their way up and with those new skin cells that are coming up, you also have that half an inch that you're supposed to be growing every single month. So the more you Aid, the body at removing those dead skin cells, the easier it is for you to shampoo your hair, not to mention at this point. I am also pulling the natural sebum, which is the natural oil that my body makes. I am helping to guide it down my hair shaft before I shampoo, so if you're a person who starts to do this right, you will notice just like everybody within my Challenge and notice that it is almost night and day a difference of your wash day and How easy it is for you to detangle your hair and after taking out my braids that have been in for approximately a week a little longer than a week. This is all of the hair that sheds - and this is after all of my detangling - is so easy to comb through my hair and there are no tangling. There are no tangling, it's no tangling. Okay, listen! Um! The theory like! Oh you don't need to you. You actually wash your hair. Yes, you do, especially if you're a person who, like layers product on the cuticle, gets full, sometimes hopeful, so there's nothing wrong with cleaning it. So it's more than enough time because you're supposed to leave it on for a couple minutes. So if you take the time to just slightly after you've, went like this across the scalp, the product is now sitting there. So now you can just cleanse the hair. Sometimes you you don't need to clean your hair, shaft they're, one of those people they get in the shower and they don't watch they live where they feed they. Just let the water run down they're nasty, you're nasty, because if you don't wash your hair and the only thing you're watching is your scalp whatever it was on. Your scalp is now on your hair, so you you definitely are supposed to I'm supposed to wash it. The girl on YouTube tell you, you all got ta wash your hair. She gon na wash her feet. She got dirty feet. She threw you, ain't got ta wash your hair. She got dirty feet, she wearing them, chicks with them. Dirty toes her feet, stacked bad money. Her dude be like hey. You smell that her feet thing no, not to go. Oh God, I'm about to go ahead. Some me time with my hair with myself and then I'm gon na come back to fit the condition. This is shampoo number two with Olympics number love. Oh my God! Oh you want the natural oil, so your hair will be dry. Stop because when you do you get up in the morning and be like don't wash your butt cause, your skin need them natural oils. So you better leave your booty. Thank you just put on a lot of just wash up with lotion, so you can keep your natural oils. No, you don't do that and if you do you nasty in your booty thing, so I was gon na say. There'S no reason for us to overuse other plaques, all the plexus made it, so this top right here makes it so like you get the exact amount that you need. Remember I was holding my ears upside down shampoo yourself after you check the video link in the description box below where I told you guys that when I had my last weave, your girl went a little too overboard flat ironing her leave out. So that is the part that you see where the curls are a little bit different and again check my last video out, because here I am demonstrating to you exactly how to put on conditioner properly and a easy way to put it on and avoiding the scalp. So if you really want to hear the detail version of that click, the video link in the description box, because I'll go over it there all right now I am putting this olaplex 8 on my hair shaft. This is the conditioning treatment that I always use anytime. I do a clarifying shampoo or a detox. So anytime, you do a detox or a clarifier. Of course the shampoo, the shampoo I'm sorry, the conditioner you'll use after that is going to be a Moisturizing Conditioner. But as you cannotice the longer the product is on my hair, the longer the conditioner is on my hair and I'm going through this process. My My Curls are slowly reverting back. Okay, remember that it is only when you don't have proper preparation or, if you're, going too far with the flat iron like. I did in that one little spot that you worry about heat damage and heat damage is not that deep. I'M not cutting my hair off because of that one little piece: okay, okay, no, Miss rinse, conditional s, my hair, I think I'm gon na keep the same. You don't care at this point. I am getting ready to do a flat iron on my hair right um. I switch it up and I basically do every two weeks. I switch my Styles over because having repetition is one of the easiest ways to make sure that the follicle is always active and that the cuticle has memory and is never Disturbed right because you're never touching it so again. We'Re allowing all of my bonds to reset and now all of the bonds, the hydrogen bond in my hair is broken and completely looking for direction does not have any clue what I wanted to do right. So that is why I am about to part my hair off in four sections after I put one full pump, only one pump of all the Plex 9 on my hair um. I have a very high sebum level. So, even though I have high porosity hair, my hair gets so oily so fast, so the more product I put on my hair, the faster my hair, is going to get oily, so I barely do a full pump of all the Plex 9. I do like a half of pump and then I put it on my entire hair head and then I slowly work the product in then after that blow dry flat iron and then use the Heat Protector and boom chicka the boom. We are done make sure that you stay tuned for this entire series and leave me some comments below I love you I do I do I do I do. Oh okay, see I'm acting like I'm putting my hair in a ponytail and then this gets the product on my hair or my hair, and not my scalp, because that's what we're going for, I flat ironing my hair, not my scalp! Thank you is it true. You actually think of me is less than you. No, how do you know that's how it goes forever forever? What'S gon na go away, it doesn't make sense for somebody else when you play when you know, that's not the case. The only thing we know is that we change forever. Peace has blue with the sky above history. Remember your royalty!

Shannon Michelle: Loveeeee that you said heat damage is not that deep!! I swear these people be telling you to big chop your whole head cause of a little heat damage. Great video per usual☺️

Pam G: Merry Christmas Cyn ❤️⭐️ I just wanted thank you so much, my hair is in its best state in decades. You truly helped bring my confidence back. I can wear my hair out in its natural blow dried state and it looks frizz free, shiny, soft, barely no breakage. I know now that my scalp is actually oily and I can feel that sebum.I’m using Kerastase products which I highly recommended, my blow dry is almost a silk press and it lasts till washing. These days I use minimum products and only oil my ends 3 times a week. I can’t thank you enough❤ I bought a couple of your books but I’ll subscribe to your 7 day challenge to support you. Happy holidays

Kenya Dyer: I love watching your progression with your hair. Get it girl! Length going crazy over there.

Antoinette Roberts: Love you Cyn Always keeping it real. From a real one to another real one.

Cocoa Monroe: Makes me want to go have some me time with my hair, sooo bad! Happy holidays to you, Cyn!! ❤ #SayNo2dirtyTOES

Reservechic: Merry Christmas and lots of ❤️ and tons of best wish wishes now and forever to you, Cyn, and your beloved family! I don’t know who started this heat dame trend, diagnosing people who don’t actually have heat damage, falsely telling them that they have such, and then having these people go into a frenzy over such. The ones that do have real heat damage, all it takes is getting guidance from a professional on how to help remedy such. And, just be patient and trust in the process. I done seen people get big chops done over and over, because of people swearing to them that they had heat damage, when they honestly are as misinformed as it gets. I would rather take REAL advice from someone like you Cyn, who is not only a professional hairstylist that truly understand the science of hair, and that can provide me with REAL,FACTS, versus getting the wrong advice from one of those “self made” YouTube hair experts, who think they know everything, when it’s definitely not the case. Hope you and your family have an absolutely amazing time, enjoying this very special & blessed day!

Rachel Gardner: Not you nasty and yo booty stank !! Detroit know we be too funny! Thank you again for everything you do it truly helps and is so appreciated .

S X: hey Cyn, do you think you could make a video or blog post on different hairstyles for curly hair? i’ve been wearing the same hairstyle, just box braids without the braiding hair, for the past few months & i wanna do something different. i have very active sweat glands so i don’t wear a silk press & i’m still trying to get my hair healthy enough to wear my blowout without it looking crazy. thank you & happy holidays

Esi Mensah48: Merry Christmas Cyn , you truly are a blessing to me ❤

Mony E: Yeah if you find a conditioner your hair likes, it will restore the moisture after thoroughly washing, for me the Pantene regular products work best for my 4c hair, not the gold series

Megan M.: Look at how beautifully your hair is growing THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING BAYBEE (snaps tongue)

A F: Cyn doll!!!! Just had a revelation. As a community, black people pride ourselves on being clean!!! So how in the world, collectively, are we not washing our hair 1x a week?! I don’t get it anymore. I blow dry my hair and by the end of the week my hair may not but sopping oily but it’s oily and I can feel the oil on my hair when it gets wet! I’ve been enlightened to a lot of things since following your channel and also observing how my husbands family handles/talks about hair. For any other community walking around with oily hair is deemed as gross. I don’t know why we try to stretch hairstyles for the style and not consider the fact that when hair is dirty, it’s dirty. Just like when our body is dirty, we wash our bodies (everyday and for me 2x a day). I don’t get it but I take pride in the fact that I wash my hair every week and blow dry it. Like we always hear- to whom much is given, much is required. Ive got a lot of hair. But I’ve gotten my wash/blow dry time down to 1.5 -2 hours (if I deep condition). If other communities wash and blow dry their hair at least 2 times a week they are spending 3+ hours on their hair a week and they don’t complain. They just do it because they know they have to. And we, as a community, need to get there too! I have a dyson blow dryer and I round brush my hair. Now that I’ve practiced so much I LOVE the round brush results. It looks like I flat ironed on a very low heat honestly. I started just hitting my roots really quick with a low setting on my flat iron and it looks soooo cute!!! Thank you Cyn Doll!!!!!!

Benita Clemmons: I love your honesty. Do you take any supplements? Do you take any medicine for your hidradenitis?

dollyrevenge98: IS your hair heat damaged or are you trying to heat train it to remove the curls ?

Nico: Happy Holidays! The kids you. Peace and blessings

~Daphne Amy's World~!: So I have a project I need to present to post on YouTube I'm literally going through video you incorporate herbalism in your video you don't what your videos do when I was taking Nutrition and this year graduate school Plant-based Medicine the class assignments using idea from what I posted and you helped alot to pass and finish the online course at Ecornell through Cornell University.
