Seek first, his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things shall be given to you as well: hey girl, hey welcome back to my channel. It'S Skye anjanae! If you are new here, stick around stick around girl, as you can tell by the title, we're going to be shampooing and blow dry, not really blow dry, but I mean you'll see in the video we're going to be doing sew-in maintenance on this one. I have here if you want to see how I got this sew in check out this video right yeah after you watch this one but yeah, let's, let's, let's get into the video okay. So I'm going to be using this all soft shampoo by Wrecking you can get this at Ulta beauty. This is really really great, for if you have really dry hair you've got color treated hair. It just helps balance the pH. So yes, I'm in the shower, because this is this is part of my self-care day, so I'm like might as well record it so anyway, as you see I'm holding the shampoo, I mean not the shampoo wow, I'm holding the shower nozzle close to my scalp. That'S because the point of shampooing is to shampoo our actual hair underneath the braids as well as our bonus. So you want to make sure you're getting those braids wet, so you need to hold the shower nozzle or wherever you wash your hair. You need to make sure you get it close to your root, so you can get those braids wet as well. Now when it comes to actually shampooing your hair, it's best to do two shampoos. The first initial shampoo is going to really get all the dirt and build up off, and then the second shampoo is going to get the rest and y'all. This shampoo smells so good, but anyway the one important part you want to remember is to go into your scalp. Don'T go into just adding the shampoo to your bundles, we're trying to get the scalp clean. That'S why our weave gets oily or it starts to like weigh down or product build up. Whatever case may be, that's a lot of that is happening at the base of our sewing, so our hair produces natural oils on its own and we need to make sure we're shampooing that out in our sew in so our sew-ins won't look oily greasy all the Way down because that's not cute so really go in in between those tracks and like I just wet my hair, just to give me a little bit more lavender, because this is the first shampoo. It doesn't really matter as much and you want to make sure you're. Not shaking the hair, because that's going to cause a lot of time when you see I am really scrubbing my scalp, then I go in and smooth to the ends of those bundles to make sure that they are still straight. I forgot to mention to make sure you brush your hair out before you shampoo, to get rid of any tankless, so I'm only going to show you the first shampoo it. It really just does not make sense to show you on the second one. But here I am just rinsing out that first lather and you really want to make sure you pretty much put the shower head down there on your head, because you want to make sure you're removing all of that soap from your braids, because you don't want to Cause any mildewing, but we'll get more into that once we get to the drying portion, I use a whole lot of conditioner A Generous amount like the bottle says and then with anything whether you're, shampooing, some bundles or your natural hair. You want to start off at the ends and work your way up. If you start at the roots and then try to go down you're going to clog your follicles and it's not good, it's it. Just don't do it! Okay, take it from me if you want to know why then watch my um video right here, where I talk about how to properly you know care for your hair and shampoo and all that, but then I'm going to just take a shampoo brush and I'm going To brush in that conditioner and make sure that it's all nice and even and then my hair is nice and smooth okay. So I'm going to be using my mazani Miracle: milk leave-in conditioner 25 Miracle milk, leave-in conditioner. This also can be purchased at Ulta beauty. Any product that I recommend can be purchased at Ulta beauty. I don't know what was going on with my light y'all, but it was. It was tripping, but anyway I just want to you just want to spray that all over you. It does not matter if you're wearing bundles or if this is your natural hair, you need to be using a leave-in conditioner and then I'm just going in with my Olivia Garden brush. This is the detangle brush. Please stop using denim brushes to detain your hair. That is not what it's meant for use. An actual detangle brush a detangle brush is going to be larger. The bristles are going to be more separated and they're going to be even vertically and horizontally. That'S how you're going to know it's a detangle brush and the brush will say detangle, but you just want to brush that product through your hair so that it's all distributed evenly and I'm just going in and molding my hair. Essentially just like y'all know. If you don't know, watch this video, but I got a relaxer, so it's real simple to just mold my hair and sit under the dryer, so I'm just putting in my middle part and then I'm gon na sit under the dryer and y'all know, like I always Say if there's nothing else you take from this video take this. You know I always got to give you one Holy Grail tip and that is to sit under a dryer. If you can't sit under the dryer buy one of those plastic dryers that connects to your blow, dryer sit with that or take a diffuser. If you don't know what a diffuser is, I will show you boom right there. A diffuser is literally going to get into your scalp now. This is mostly used to diffuse your curls and dry, your curls without freezing them, but also you can use it to get that heat directly to your scalp. The most important thing you need to take away from when you shampoo your sew-in, is that you need to make sure that those braids are dry, because, let me tell you if not it's gon na grow mode, and especially if you're someone who like like me, I Go to the gym, though I don't feel off, but we ain't talking about that, but I go to the gym and my scalp sweats really bad. So I do have to shampoo my hair once a week, but also every time I come from the gym, because I sweated my hair so bad. I will sit under the dryer for a few minutes or blow dry, my scalp just so I can get those braids dry because you will get mildew and you will have to just cut your hair off and don't nobody want to do that. So please make sure your hair, I mean your braids or your hair is dry, underneath that sew in before doing any type of styling. You can even let your hair air dry. This is why sometimes I should put my hair when I know I don't have anything to do. I pretty much set time to not have anything to do that day, because I don't necessarily like sitting on the dryer, but it was like 10 o'clock at night and I was I was tired. I was ready to get in bed, so I needed to sit on the dryer to get my hair dryer, but just sitting under the dryer expecting your whole head to dry. You cannot do that. You need to from time to time, maybe like every 10 to 15 minutes take, come out the dryer and section off your hair and clip the top away. That way, you can really get in between those tracks and get the heat directly to your scalp, which is what you see out doing right now. This also helps with drying the ends of your hair. If you don't want to have to blow dry all that hair, I know I don't. I don't have time to follow that, so this helps with drying the ends of my hair as well as you can see. I have that space and then the bottom half of my hair is uncovered, so it can get more heat directed to it nothing. In total. I sat on the under the dryer for about 45 minutes and when I tell you I hate sitting under the dryer, so listen. I love y'all because I sat in the dryer to show you how to properly dry your hair, okay, and just like that, my hair is back to being fabulous. Okay, you need to make sure really really really really make sure that your braids are dry. I know I mentioned this already, but if your braids are not dry, you will get mildew under there. Okay, so do what you have to do? If you do not have the dryer take a blow dryer do whatever you need to do sit out sit outside. I mean it's getting cold outside but until then sit outside. Let your hair air dry enjoy nature, but whatever you do, you need to make sure that those braids are dry. So you don't have mildew and won't have to cut all your hair out. But thank you all so much for watching this video. I hope you enjoyed it leave me now. So leave me some comments like this video subscribe.
