Hey guys welcome back to our channel, so today i'm actually going to do something that i've never done before and, as you guys see in the title, my braids are itchy and if you guys don't follow me on my personal instagram, it's at ash justine. I just recently made a post about my box braid experience. I absolutely love the braids but turns out. I am allergic to the synthetic hair and i feel like a lot of people, don't know that you can be allergic to synthetic hair, because i had no idea that i was i know. Last year i got crochet faux dreads, for when i went on vacation to puerto rico and within like a week, i had to take them out just because, like my scalp started to form bumps, it was just like itchy and it starts to look messed up anyway. I guess like because of the brand that i got or like just going in and out of the water things like that. It just starts to look messed up, but the main thing was the bumps. So i thought i got the bumps because of my scalp isn't used to it. You know my stuff isn't used to getting braids because i always you know, have my hair out and things like that. So that's why i thought it was that, but when i decided to get box braids for when we went to jamaica, i was just praying i'm like. I hope i don't get any bumps again, because i know how long it takes to get things done, and you know just how much money you spend on the hair and all that stuff so like i was just like. I hope i don't get bumps again. I was thinking that, like maybe the braids were too tight, so i made sure um the one who did my box braids too. You know not get them too tight at all and she didn't so. Everything came out perfect. It took about six hours, six hours and a half to put all these braids in, and you know it was the difference because, like of the weight so like it was really heavy on my scalp um and like all my friends thought like. Oh, you know you'll get used to it, it'll start loosening up and stuff like that, and i was just waiting for it to you know feel regular because it was still so heavy and i went to jamaica was going in and out of the water, the pool The ocean - and it was just not getting better at all - and i was just telling my friends like this - hurts they're like oh you're, fine, you're, fine, you know you'll get used to it and i was like this is not normal, like i was literally in pain. It was just one day i came back to the hotel room and my scalp was just like red. It was just burning red. It felt like you had like a cut on your scalp and you're, just throwing salt on it. It was just like burning - oh my god, it was. I was like in tears and i had like white bumps forming right here. I have bumps in the back of my neck, just all around my hairline and i was ready. I had the scissors in my hand. I was like ready to cut them off. I was just like. I didn't have them for a week yet, like i spent all this time all this money. You know for these braids and, like i really like them, because like they're so easy like you literally like wake up and go because you have to do too much to it, and i was just like all right, let me just wash it you know, so i, Like you know, wash my scalp wash the actual braids, the only thing about washing braids is that it takes so long to dry. Like so long it literally took, like i don't know, like maybe like seven hours to dry or something like that. It wasn't ridiculous because i was just still dripping like you get off the shower. You put like um a towel around your ends so, like you won't be dripping everywhere and i was like in the restaurant with like a napkin just holding it, because it was just still dripping. When i did some research. I realized that i am actually allergic to the synthetic hair is actually pretty common, but i feel like a lot of people, don't know about it still, since i didn't know about it, and even when i made my post about it on my personal instagram, a lot Of people still didn't know that you can't be allergic to it. So apparently, the synthetic hair is dipped in an alkaline base and i guess i'm allergic to the alkaline base in it. I was looking on youtube to see like a way to get rid of the alkaline base and i did some google research and i read that using vinegar or apple cider, vinegar, um to dip it in and let it sit for like 15 minutes to get off The alkaline base now when i was looking on youtube a lot of youtubers done this already, but they did it when the hair was already straight out. The package and like the hair is already in my head so like obviously, i can't do that. Of course. Next time, if i do decide to get box braids or any type of protective hairstyle that require a synthetic hair, then of course i would definitely dip it in the in the vinegar, so it can get off the alkaline base. Now, if you guys haven't seen it like go, research is actually pretty disgusting. Knowing that synthetic hair is has this base on it, i mean, of course, i'm sure it's like a reason why they do this but like when they dip inside the apple cider vinegar. You see like a white film like coming out from from the hair and that's all that base. So that's all that's inside that hair and like the vinegar just takes it all out and then they hang it up to dry and then they install it. But i would say that can't be the case for me like it's already in my head, so i haven't seen a video yet from when i was doing my youtube search of having the hair in your head and doing the apple cider, vinegar, rinse, then so i Decided like, let me just try this out, so this is b. This will be my first time trying this and i feel, like you, won't know that you're allergic to synthetic hair until you put it in your head and if you have that reaction, then you're, like oh man, i'm allergic. You know to me. I have never been alert to anything, so this is like my first thing and i just don't like my scalp, which is really really sensitive, but i guess turns out that i am allergic to it now the redness did go away. I still have a few bumps. I don't know if you guys can see right here. I still have a few bumps, they are drying and it's still itchy, but not as much as it was in jamaica, but it is still it still kind of bothers me. So i know like that. Base is still in there. What i've done is got the apple cider vinegar. So i already had this and my cabinet. I don't really use it that much. I just used it for, like my face, mask and things like that, so i'm going to use apple, cider, vinegar instead of like regular vinegar, but you can use either or um right with white vinegar. If you want, if you have that instead and then i just put it into this bottle - and i diluted it - so i put a half apple, cider, vinegar and the rest, water apple, cider, vinegar, any type of vinegar stinks. So darris already said that i'm going to smell, but you put it in your hair and then you rinse it out and like i guess, you're like maybe a shampoo if this does still smell um, i'm just hoping that i don't smell like vinegar, because this stuff Stinks, like i hate vinegar, i'm just not looking forward to this at all, but if it's going to help keep my braids in longer without the discomfort, then this is the rest. I'M gon na have to take, and also the annoying part of the braids drying because it takes so long now. My braids are long. My braids actually go all the way down to my butt, so they are pretty long and that's why it takes so long to dry. I think i'm going to focus more on the top of my hair and then work my way down a little bit just because i don't want to be dripping everywhere. People do apple, cider, vinegar versus on their actual natural hair, because that helps with curls and stuff. But i don't know how people do it because it smells so strong and i diluted it. What are you doing something yeah, oh, what i can smell it. It'S vinegar so definitely suck that. I found that i'm allergic to this and found out about this vinegar method. After it was in my head, because this definitely does take a while, you know i don't know if it's gon na have like the same results compared to actually dipping the whole hair inside a bowl of vinegar. So i feel like this might not take out all of the alkaline base, but at least it might help with some of the discomfort that i'm having or that you're having so i'll, definitely keep you guys updated supposed to keep this in. Keep this in. For about 15 to 20 minutes, so by the time i'm done spraying this it'll be 15 to 20 minutes and i'm going to hop in the shower and rinse it out i'll. Let you know if i smell, like a bottle of apple cider, vinegar still, hopefully not that was a workout in the shower. So i had a little bit left of the apple cider vinegar inside the spray bottle. So i just like dumped it on my scalp and just massaged it, and then i was still kind of scared about the smell, so i actually used my regular shampoo and the regular shampoo i use is the carol's daughter, coco cream. So i did two squirts inside the spray bottle and mix it with water and shook it and just sprayed in my scalp again sprayed on the bottom of the braids just so it can kind of get that smell out. Let'S see how it smells, i don't smell any cider vinegar at all. It is heavy. So what i do is get out the shower. I wrap a whole towel around the braids and i flip it up, and then i have a rubber band right here. So it can hold it all up, because no, you cannot wring it out like you, cannot bring the braids out as much as you squeeze it. You'Re still gon na be dripping everywhere, so i'm probably gon na be like this for a good. I don't know four hours and of course i can blow dry it, but who got time to be standing there like this, so that was already a workout in the shower just to get everything out, but first impressions right now, like my scalp feels really clean. I don't feel any invitation, no, no itchiness or anything like that. So i do feel fine. So i just want to point out these bumps again and just i don't know i mean it's not that bad like because it was way worse. So go let this dry like it's a ball and i'll come follow up with you guys a couple days later, so you guys can see if the apple cider, vinegar really helps hey guys. So i just want to do a quick update, so i did the apple cider, vinegar rinse on saturday, and now it is monday night and i have to say my scalp feels a hundred percent better. My braids do not feel heavy at all. Now i know what they were talking about, how they're not heavy like they're so light, so the apple cider, vinegar, rinse, definitely did work now, like i said before, i did go over with my regular shampoos to try to get up the smell and everything like that And i swore to everything that the smell was gone. Like i washed my hair, i was dripping like crazy, like i went through like two towels, because it was just dripping all over the place like i hate, washing these braids, because they're so heavy and they take forever to dry, because all they do is just keep Dripping and once you think it's dry, it's still not dry, because you're still dripping all over your clothes. So it's like a mess but anyways i swear. I did not smell any apple cider, vinegar, but according to darius, he swore that i still smelled like vinegar and i swore and everything that i did not, but he was just so dramatic like oh, my god, you smell, i can't even hug you meow meow meow. I'M like yo, like i seriously, do not smell like anything, so we went out to target and we actually bought this spray. It'S by shea moisture, it's the odor neutralizing mist, so this is actually their line, that is for protective hairstyles and my target. It was on sale for 4.98 out of 10. While i was in jamaica, i did buy this before i left, which is their serum. So it's the shea moisture jehovah oil and yokuba butter track tension and itch relief serum. So i knew that i would be itching, so that's why i bought this before i went to jamaica, and this is the only thing i took to jamaica so with this serum um, it's definitely a cooling sensation when you put it on your scalp now, since i Had the allergic reaction, which i wasn't completely sure about when i was over there, it did burn when i put it on my scalp, but that was the only thing i had and anything was better than nothing. So i was just like putting it all in my scalp, like i literally got in this like, i have barely anything left like it's like all the way at the bottom, like i used this like three times a day, because i was like desperate because my scalp Was itching so much and it was just burning, so i was just like look the cooling kind of helped since it was burning, but i felt like it didn't work since i did have the allergic reaction. So now, if you don't have the allergic reaction, then this will be definitely good for four itchy scalps. But if you do have the allergic reaction, i wouldn't suggest this. I would just suggest using oils or butters, and things like that, to go on your scalp to moisturize that now an update on my bumps. It is completely gone to me like it's definitely gone so sometimes i still get some like. I have dryness. I always put oil. I moisturize my scalp about twice a day in the morning and the night just to make sure i don't get any flakes in there, but my braids feel a hundred percent better. So i'm so happy that i did this rinse, i'm so happy that i didn't cut off my braids in jamaica, so it can last longer because, like i said it took so long to do and i was not about to cut them off within not even a Week, so i'm so happy that i did this if you guys were wondering how this spray smells it's, let me see it smells like an ocean to me, but definitely does smell good and, like the smell, just reminds me of jamaica now, because i use so much Of that serum, so the smell is very refreshing very clean. So i hope this video helps you guys who just got braids and experience all the itching sensation and things like that, like the apple cider, vinegar, rinse definitely did help. It'S definitely tedious because you do have to wash your braids, so it does take a while because it needs to dry and things like that. But it's definitely worth it because my scalp just feels a thousand times better and the bumps are gone and i'm definitely plan on keeping these. For i don't know, hopefully three more weeks, if i can, if you find this video helpful, please give this video a thumbs up and comment below if you ever experienced any allergic reaction to synthetic hair, and what did you do to believe? It also follow me on my personal instagram at ashjasteen, see y'all next time.

Kay Jones: It worked for me. I mixed acv and water. Saturated my scalp and the braids. Imput a plastic bag om my head. Rinsed. Repeated. Shampooed and rinsed. The itch is gone. I can now enjoy my $250 box braids with no itch.

Patricia Nichols: FYI--Take hair from package place on hanger (with the little hooks). Soak synthetic hair in a bowl of White and/or Apple Cider Vinegar with water for 1 hour. Rinse hair repeatedly until the water is clear (show no signs of residue). Squeeze excess water from hair (don't wring out hair). Then hang in the shower to air dry. There are videos to show how to do this: Joy-el (Sharmaine Sommer) and Naptural85. I hope this helps because it has definitely helped me. Thanks for sharing

Tiera Stephens: I’m glad I found this video because I just got some braids and I had the exact same thing happen to me as well

Lakenya Isom: Braid hair did not itch like this in the 90s. After 23years I finally got braids and I felt like I was going to rip my scalp out. Once I did an ACV treatment and shampoo/conditioner I felt so relieved. Lesson learned

Tyyona Owens: I’m soooo happy I’m not alone in this… literally one of the things to make me insecure. My neck and back and forehead started breaking out (all the areas it touched) and i took it out within a week. I’m scared to try it again even w the soak‼️ but again so happy to kno I’m not alone !

Nicol Figueroa: It worked wonders! I mixed ACV and warm water, dipped my whole hair and scalp in for 15 minutes and the heavy itchiness has gone. It itches sometimes but not as much as it used to. As for the bumps I’ve been applying ointment for allergies on the skin (the cream or ointment you use for tattoos works fine) So thank you very much!

Clarissa Evette1: The same thing just happened to me, I thought I was gonna go crazy because it burns and itches so bad! My scalp was actually in pain also. I did spray my scalp with apple cider vinegar last night and it already feels so much better!

Mechelle Brown: So thankful I found this video! I’ve been experiencing the exact itching and pain, as well as the numbs. My scalp even feels like it’s on fire. And when it itches and I try to scratch it just a small rub on my scalp hurts sooooo much. And I’m not tinder-headed.

LaKera: I'm experiencing the same thing right now. Just got my hair done almost a week ago. It's been a long time since I've gotten kinky twists so my scalp is probably sensitive to the hair now. Been using aloe vera juice to try to alleviate the irritation and possible redness. I have bumps too and I'm trying not to scratch too much

micah mcclough: It took me 2 different hair styles to find out that I am allergic to synthetic hair as well. Allergic contact dermatitis is what I have because of synthetic hair the bumps wasnt just on my scalp but on my forehead and cheeks because that's where the hair touched. lady's be careful with this synthetic hair.

Thassanono Johnson: I keep doing these ACV rinses and my scalp is still on fire. I’m on my 3rd one. About to cut it off. . It’s been 4 days Edit: cut them bad boys out an hour later. Money lost but the inflammation is down. Listen to your body #TWALife

mooncupid: This is perfect, thank you so much because ya girl loves her braids and the idea of not being able to wear them anymore killed me. I never had an issue before and now all of a sudden ITCH ITCH ITCH. So I will definitely try this when I get home because I want to enjoy my braids for a while. I heard that you could soak the hair in acv as well before putting it in so i'll try that next next time.

NothingHeard: Mine were done too tight in the back and I have some bumps. So, my scalp is burning. However, I always get little bumps here and there even when the braids are not tight. But I'm sure that the tightness ALWAYS ends up causing awful bumps especially on the hairline.

Brandi Reed: Omg Im here for ALL OF THIS!! Thank you! I have the EXACT same thing happening to me! I did pre-soak my hair though for 4 hours in ACV/water, then washed it really good with head and shoulders shampoo, and there really wasn't much of the alkaline on it when I took it out of the soak. But I'm a week in and I am dying. I'm having the same exact bumps but I just thought it was me and my sensitive skin. THANK YOU!!

ForTheLoveOfIndo: Thank you for posting this because I’m in the middle of doing my faux and now these bumps are all over my hairline and face. This has literally never happened to me before. I’m getting the vinegar right away!

Lily Laston: OMG! I had my braids two days ago, on Monday. Thank you. I made it to the store to get the acv in one piece. I cannot wait to get home and use it right away

amarisbrianna: The same thing happened to me. I cut mine out after 7 days of having them and throwing away 155.00.

NylaBrookes👑: ACV was the answer for me too!! I actually mixed it with water and went over my scalp with a cotton ball and when I say immediate relief the itching stopped immediately!!

Celeste Flenory: THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH!! I thought my scalp was just sensitive. But I got the bumps and the burning too. And it even would itch my skin on my back.

Malani Sparks: i’m SOOOOOO glad i found this video i just got my braids done 4 days ago & the itch was getting unbearable! thank you so much!!

Mehmet Günergök: When I was a teenager my scalp would itch from time to time I think that fungus thing caused that because it was unbearable. I got my hair box braided 2 weeks ago and since that day I was fighting with the itch. 10 minutes ago I did what you recommended and as I would describe I came back to life. Thank you so much. As a man with braids my scalp was not already used to long and heavy hair so I can say this video saved my hair. Lots of love.

This is B&B: Thank you for posting this I had the same reaction and when I ran across this video I took them off I’ve only had these on for 2 and Halle says not even a close to a week! You saved me and my scalp lol

Korrene Tejera: I’m so glad I found this video! I got my braids 2 days ago and the itching is driving me nuts! Hope this works for me, thanks for sharing

miss micah: I'm so confused. I'm perfectly fine with my braids regularly, but when I cover it and lay my head down and the itch is unbearable.

M C: The hair is packed in wax. You should always soak your synthetic hair in a water/vinegar mix Before installing into your hair. Soak, rinse, hang or lay flat to dry.

AnnacuaD: OMG!! Thank you so much for this video. I have jumbo twist and it's been 7days exactly and this itch is killing me!!! I love my twist, and don't want to take them down, I can't wait to try this out!!!! Thank You!

MillyT: Relieved to find out it's not just be having a bad time with the heaviness of the hair and bumps/rashes. My face is just clearing up from my last protective style that I only kept in for a week. Recently use the ACV method and I'm getting my hair done today, hopefully this time a can keep the style longer. Thank you for sharing!

Stephanie Fortune: Omg! This worked!! I use regular white vinegar. Poured it all over my scalp, forget that spray bottle. Instant relief!! Kept it in for 30 mins than washed and repeated twice with tingling shampoo and followed up with anti itch braid spray! Thank the YouTube Gods!!!!!!!!!

Char: Thank you for this. Just installed my goddess locs & my scalp is on fire. I’m sitting here like something ain’t right & googled and came across your video thankfully cause i didn’t feel like taking these out after all the time i spent. Going to get ACV tomorrow

Amy Woodward: Girl I want to thank you so much I'm getting my brakes done tomorrow and was really nervous because I break out from the synthetic hair the first time I got my braids done I spent $175 I'm not even less than a week I had to take them out after and started breaking out in hives and weird blisters on my head I went to the doctor and he didn't thought I had like didn't know what to say other than take Benadryl that didn't work so thank you so bad for putting this video out and God bless you I totally going to try what you're suggesting because Viking winter solstice is around the corner and in our religion we braid her hair to thank the gods for our Beauty so God bless you I'm going to do is your tips

Ashley F: Omg I feel like I'm watching myself in this video . Everybody always made me feel like the only one going through this so THANK YOU ! I'm going to try this tonight.

onlyonekiney: Nope that did not help! At all just wet braids. But I know what did, Benadryl itch stopping gel! That worked immediately!!!!! It stopped the itch dead in its tracks! Loving it!

Delonie Bignal: I’ve had my braids in for 4 days and it’s loosen up a lot but the itch is also starting. I have a bottle of Jamaican Castor oil/peppermint which I massaged in my scalp and it gave me a huge relief.. worked like magic without wetting your hair.

roxanne dennis: Glad I came across this video . Installed faux locks 2 days ago and it has been itching like crazy. Gonna try this.

fefe26 MW: Thank You for this video. I'm going through it right now

Marion Sanders: Also can be the tightness of the braids that forms the bumps

𝙲𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚡𝚊_-_: I really needed this because the first time I got braids I was feeling like I was going to rip my hair off because is itched so much so know i know I’m allergic to the hair thanks so much ❤️❤️

xenochris: Thanks. I just got braids, first time and I woke up itching like crazy! The vinegar tip really works! Thanks, now I can sleep lol

weeniedog: omg this worked i was so close to taking my braids out cos of the irritation but i tried this and i’m fine!!

Katelyn: I didn’t realize you could be allergic to the hair! I bought a different type than normal and I was getting marks on the top of my back and my scalp has been itching like crazy! This makes so much sense.

Amya goofy ahh: I got my braids done about last week and they already messed up with the frizz BUT DANG MY HEAD ITCH BUT I PAT IT HAAAARD

Christa-Bella Omoyi: I’ve tried dipping the braiding hair in ACV before braiding my hair, took out the rubber bands to make sure that it’s not bc of how tight they are, peppermint, tea tree, aloe vera and nothing worked to the point where I had to them out even after taking them out my scalp is still itchy. I’m never getting and kinds of braids anymore and it sucks bc I love how they look on me.

Neque Williams: I just want to say you saved my braids!! I have seborrheic dermatitis and on top of it I found out I was allergic to the braiding hair. I did exactly what you did in this video and my scalp feels AMAZING. No itching no irritation absolutely nothing. I will be soaking my synthetic hair in acv before braiding. Thank you soooo much!!!

Moon_gamer12: OMG people's I've been getting my hair braided with different synthetic hair since I was 14 I'm 47 my hair was thick and healthy I haven't used a different product in 10 years but decided to a year ago my braids was so beautiful I felt like a brand new woman thanks to my beautician. Downfall I was allergic to the hair so freakin sad all my hair fell out pain and scalp discomfort you would not believe. I almost called the paramedics for my scalp at 3 am I was in tears every nite until I couldn't take another sleepless night. Scalp in some areas still sore 1 yr later it's crazy. Be careful what you use things is changing take the time to read the fine print if any.

Cailyn Buck: Idk how it took me so long to realize that I'm allergic to synthetic hair but WOW bits only been a week and my roots already fuzzy looking cause I been scratching so much the itch is KILLING me but my bf paid for my hair this time around so I'm praying this itch relief rinse works so he didn't waste his money.

thegoandgrowfamily: I started braiding my hair at 11 and braided many people’s hair and in the last 2 years I’ve experienced this!! The bumps itching and my natural hair fell out . I tried human hair this time and it’s the same thing! My heart is sooo hurt. I’m worried for back women! There is something sinister about this. Why is this all of a sudden a problem. I’m so upset!!

lovelife2g: I soak the hair in vinegar and shampoo the hair prior to braiding it it is still itchy. To manage, I have to wash my hair weekly which helps. But it gets messy fast. Thank God I know how to braid my own hair now. So I’m saving a lot of money for those days when I want box braids.

Kecia Foy: Experienced this in the past and now currently.. I thought I was tripping.. but I said there’s no way I’m this itchy scalp inflamed I had braids 3 days and I began taking them down

lilith Eden : I've had this happen to me too like last night I started installing braids the synthetic hair I got I hadn't got before but this one was REALLY BAD I woke up this morning itching like crazy and had big red patches down my neck and chest and on my shoulder it was like a burning itch and I felt really hot like I was dehydrated I took them out IMMEDIATELY!!! But I kept the hair thinking I just need to soak them in some apple cider vinegar so hopefully that does help because I really want to have braids again

Maya Lee: They did smt to our hair because it wasn’t like this before. I used to get my hair done on the regular as a little girl but stopped till I got older and the same thing happened to me as well! Never had an issue before.. there’s some pre rinse vinegar wash braids I’m about to test out from bsw! Fingers crossed!

Laurissa Lewis: I had my braids in 3 days I'm losing my mind itchy!!!! I must be allergic!! Thanks for the vid!!!

introducingjinx: Thank you so much for the video!!! I really needed a great tip

Teon Strong: Thank you for the idea of already having the hair in. Same problem. I never knew it was possible

Loui d: Thank you!!!! This is a life saver.

Tama Moni: It’s not just the braiding hair, I think it’s the hair braiders too. They braid too tight even when you tell them it’s tight. They don’t do the style you ask for and they charge too much.

Mbali Bolo: I really need to try this. I recently did braids and the itching is too much

Mechelle Brown: Do you have a recommendation or have noticed a brand of hair that irritates your scalp the least?

Jovonna Gunn: I agree I think the synthetic hair is being made differently because I'm 4 days in and ready to take them out at work..yikes going to try the ACV rinse

ChoklateDiamonds: I haven’t had my box braids for a week and they itch and burn like crazy. I did the ACV rinse then washed them they still itch. Ima try to hang in there cause these were not cheap they should not be allowed to sell hair with this stuff in it.

Fatimah Grimes: I’m currently going through it bad! My whole body broke out in hives due to faux locs. I cut them out last night it’s been horrible.

Velvet Scott: OMG!! Thank you , It's been 3days and I want to take this mess out my hair it's so painful and I'm at work I wanna die ... will try right when I get home

Queen Khalifa: My best friend did some individuals on me a few days ago. I usually use Rastafri hair and never have had any problems,. Even with Black and Gold no problems as it's been around for years. But this pre stretched hair she used on me is killing me. The hair is hard, stiff, itchy.. My scalp is itchy its even itching my neck. I don't know why she used that cheap pre stretched hair on me! I'm pissed! I'm gonna try this and try to save me some money..

Zoila Rivera: Omg!! I so need to do this! I have goddess locs and it’s so itchy! And also so stiff

lilia law: Add essential oils like tea tree, peppermint and lavender to soothe and help with smell

Serina S.: I always itched with box braids growing up but one time I got some all grey box braids in jumbo size oh my goodness the itching was HORRENDOUS. I couldn’t sleep for days . I got bumps all on my hair line & forehead I googled it & found out I been allergic all my life whatever reason this was the worst ever I literally took it out within less than a week $90 I believe or $80 down the drain . But I rather that than to lose my damn real hair . Just watching this video making me reminisce & get itchy. I heard of doing the ACV beforehand but my stylist will have to wash it & that’s extra cost because she provides the hair so I’m debating on if to do your method or if to just pay that extra money . I would hate to pay the extra money & it still itch like hell but I’m definitely putting the acv or white vinegar in it for sure hopefully it works

Tee Love: I'm allergic to the synthetic hair too. I haven't worn braids in 5 years.

Amanda Chiro: Currently having the worst scalp pains trying this ASAP

Quay Jackson: Helped tremendously I'm allergic also. I feel like I'm HEADED OMG

Vee Latay: Never install hair right out of the pack. Soak in acv/white vinegar to remove that chemical first.

Prophecy Smith: I am currently dealing with this and going to the store now to get acv as we speak. Hopefully it works or it is coming out tonight.

Alexis Moore: Thank you so much because i had no clue, i have bumps right now as i guess im allergic too

dede Vlogs: When I lay down and rap my hair up it starts itching bad but when I un rap it , my hair don’t itch

Aleiya Johnson: What will happen if I don’t wash the acv out ? Other than the smell lol

LJ: So I dunked my hair in ACV before installing them but no white film rose up. I installed them anyway, and I'm on about day 4 or 5 and I'm starting to itch same as last time and my scalp is getting red. I sprayed diluted acv for relief but it still itched. I just washed my scalp now to see if maybe that was the issue. But if it continues, is there any other solution for this? Could it be something else that's causing the itching? Any information helps, I really don't want to have to take them out after only a week like last time :(

Cece Mayrin: Can I use white vinegar instead?

childishgrey: i got lemonade braids and now i have a rash on my forehead , neck , and back i will be trying this tomorrow !!

Terese T DXT: Thanks for the video.. Do you think this will help with the faux locs? Im afraid the shower will frizz the hair... ??

Antoinette Gilbert: Soak "over nite" in the apple cider vinegar Ok, NEXT time u get it braided to remove this chemical n u can use some"charcoal shampoo" to help remove chemicals from this hair too.And your hair....

Angie parker: Idk why but every time I’m in public that’s when the itching start and it’s so uncomfortable

lionessawaking42412: ACV smells milder than white vinegar. Next time mix essential oils (like tee tree, rosemary or lavender) in your acv rinse. Try using old t-shirts to wrap your hair up( like a turban/Nubian style).

duh itz Malani: I'm 14 and I've had box braids like 10 times before and every time I get them they itch so bad last time I had them was January 2019 and I had to take him out within two days because my head itched so bad I was crying....now I went to the store and bought some hair on my own and did them myself and they itch extremely bad and I spent hours on it so I'm really mad

Tationa Trice: Does this work with crocheted braids? I have really bad dandruff and dry scalp so I tend to get crochet since it's easier to take down I always itch and have to oil my hair so much. Just wondering if apple cider vinegar treatment works with dandruff and dry hair with crocheted braids.

Keta York: I’ve sprayed mines and they’re still itchy

MaThai bunny: My braids were wet for like 12 hr the first time I washed them
