How To Wash Braid Extensions

Hey Beauties! Read below for more information!

HOW TO MAINTAIN BRAID EXTENSIONS WEEKLY: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57DZag...

This video shows how I wash my braid extensions. It wasn't filmed but I also diluted my conditioner and applied/washed it out the same way I did with the shampoo after the shampoo step. You know it is time to wash your hair if you are following a regimen, have intensely itchy scalp, flaking, or if you have product buildup.

Leave-In Spray Ingredients:

1 tsp. Glycerine

2 Tbsp. Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow, & Restore Conditioner (http://www.sheamoisture.com/Jamaican-B...)

Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer

Hey beauties here are the items you'll need for this video. As you can see, my braids need to come out, but I wanted to wash them for you guys so here it goes. First, things: first saturate your hair with water notice that I'm focusing the majority of the water on my scalp and on the parts of the extensions that only have my hair in it. I am NOT saturating the bottom part of the hair. Next, you want to get your applicator bottle and your shampoo of choice - and you just want to add a couple drops of your shampoo in there and give it a good shake now be really careful in this next step because well yeah. So when you're doing this, you might want to tilt your head backwards, so you can avoid what just happened. But yes, I'm just applying my soapy water mixture to my scope. Now this next part, you can do either one of two ways you can massage with your fingertips or you can go in with a tube brush. This is something new that I'm trying that a client had recommended to me and I actually really like it. I find that it cleaned your scalp a lot better than your fingertips, so you guys can go ahead and give this a try. You just want to remember to be extra gentle, because the toothbrush can disturb your hair aka make it frizzy. So just be really gentle and go really slowly and now I'm just going back in and massaging again just make sure everywhere is nice and clean and to prepare for the actual washing step. I am now going to section my hair into two now for this washing step. You want to be extra careful. You want to have extra patience. The reason why I say that is because notice that I'm just focusing the water on the parts where I added soap. I do not want to get any water onto the actual hair strands, because that makes it super heavy, which causes a lot of tension on your scalp and, needless to say, it's very uncomfortable. So when I'm washing my braids, I do not wet my entire head. Also, if you do not have a handheld shower in your head in your head, also, if you do not have a handheld shower head in your shower, you can pour the water into a bowl into a cup, anything that can help you target just that specific area And now I'm just going it and blotting away any excess water with my towel and then I put on my, I don't know my towel hat and that's it guys. So in this stage, I'm simply just moisturize my hair. If you'd like to see how I did this in full, you can watch my previous video. I hope this video was extremely helpful for you guys and taught you a different method on how to wash your braid extensions. That'S, hopefully easier and I'll see you next time.
