Hey guys welcome back so today's video i'm gon na be talking about my new hair extensions. If you guys follow me on instagram, then you know that i recently got my hair extensions done for the first time. I'Ve never had any kind of extensions ever so i wanted to talk about the process. A little bit show you guys some of the process, and you know just talk about my experience with them so far, so i'm gon na answer a bunch of questions and then i'm gon na show you guys some footage of the process, so it all started when Chrissy here by chrissy on instagram, she is the owner of habit salon in arizona and she and her girls from the salon. They travel all over the country teaching this amazing hair extension technique. They'Re called habit, hand-tied extensions, so they go all over teaching these classes. So she was coming to new york and she asked me to be one of her hair models. Of course, i was like yes because me and my best friend are obsessed obsessed obsessed with all of her work, and so my best friend came along with me for the weekend because it was her birthday weekend. It just worked out perfectly chrissy, even complimentary, put extensions in her hair. Also, it was just all around amazing. So basically, you guys will see in the footage, because i'm terrible at explaining it, but the hair is like hand tied onto a weft. So it's not like made like in a factory like they like hand, tie like everything and they also hand tie them like into your head. So it's not like tape, ins or um glue in or however else they're done. I don't really know much about the process, because i haven't really had any other hair extensions, besides clip-ins so yeah. Basically, they sew the hair in and the way that they do it and the way that they place it. It makes it so you cannot see them and you can wear your hair any way that you would normally wear it like. You can wear up, you can wear it down, you can wear in braids like and you cannot see like where they even are like. I will try to show you guys um, but it's hard for me even to show you because, like they're in there, so good that you can't even like really tell like. I don't know if you guys can really see the technique that they do. It makes it just look so natural, and you can't even like tell where, like my real hair starts and then the extensions start like the way that they do them, they blend so nicely. They also colored my hair. She got rid of the like chunks of black, like i had like permanent black hair color chunks like just randomly in my hair, because i used to dye my hair black, so permanent black color is like really hard to get out and she somehow worked her magic And so that now like it's like pretty much like maintenance free for me, um, because it's like so close to my actual real color, and i just love - love love the color. She did it's not like a brassy color. My hair was like pretty much orange highlights at the bottom and she got rid of that. She toned it all and it just looks amazing. I personally have two rows of wefts, so there's like one up here and then there's like one like an inch below it. I would show you guys, but you can't even really see you'll see better in the footage. I got the 22 inch length so don't mind my pajama pants uh. They hit me around like where my rib cage is like, where my ribs are that's where they hit me. I am five foot three, but i don't like have like a real torso, so um yeah, they're 22 inches long. I would say they're, probably about two inches longer than my natural hair and they just add a little bit of length and a lot of thickness. And you know volume body all that good stuff that we want and a lot of you guys are asking me about pricing. I don't really know the price, because these were complimentary for me, but the whole thing is very customized. So it's really hard to say, like an exact price, because it's going to depend on how many rows you get how many rows you need, how many wefts you need per row and you know what color you're getting done also so all of it like it's just Like a really hard price for me to give you guys, because i'm not the one doing them um, so i guess it really just varies. The other thing you guys ask me is: how often do you have to get them done and i think they say, like every eight to ten weeks, you're going to want to get them moved up, um, i'm probably going to stretch it out a bit longer, just Because i don't have anyone near me that does them, and i'm gon na fly to arizona with my best friend to have chrissy move them up for me, because you know, as your hair grows out, you need to get them moved up. Otherwise, they're just you know like dangling there. I think so. I'M gon na go to arizona and i'm probably gon na push it longer than that. If i can um just because you know that's across the country, so you have to get them done every few months. Um, you don't have to get new hair every single time. They say it really depends on how well you take care of the hair, like your hair can last up for a year before you need new hair put in, but like the next time i go. I'M not going to get new hair put in, so you just really have to take care of it. Also, you guys were asking me if it was painful. There was no real pain. I would say it was just like a little bit sensitive at first, like when they're putting them in. Obviously it's like a little bit of pulling at first and just like a little bit of tension and pressure. The first day it's a little bit sore and it feels like you have like a really tight headband on like the back of your head. But after, like the first like day or two, you don't even know that they're there. Another thing is washing and maintenance. The maintenance really isn't bad, it just is longer, so it takes longer to wash your hair because you obviously have more and it takes longer to dry your hair. Obviously i don't go in and blow dry my whole head. I never really do that. Even before i had extensions, but for this i will just blow dry where the actual wefts are just so i don't have like a wet root. Basically, so i'll just go in and roughly dry like the roots of the extensions, and then i will let the rust just air dry and to brush them. I just use a wet brush, so this is just like a wet brush. You can get these like at any drugstore or target, so i use a wet brush for the most part so quickly, i'm going to show you guys some of the products that she sent over i previously to this was using redken color magnetic shampoo. I really like that one and walla color brilliance shampoos were the ones that i have always rotated between over the years. So those are my top ones and then she sent a bunch that i'm going to show you guys really quick, so the first ones that she sent are these living proof timeless ones, and this she said to use like up at the top and for the roots And the other one she said this is more for like the ends and for like preserving the color. This is the oribe beautiful, color, shampoo and conditioner. This is like a very high-end like luxury brand, so i'm excited to try these out, and i will say that i only wash my hair even prior to this about once a week twice a week if, for some reason my hair smells weird or i got really Sweaty or something but usually once a week is all i need she also sent over the habit hair hearts. So these are like their hair gummies that the salon offers the aribe or oribe. I don't know if i'm saying right, thick dry, finishing spray, so this is like a dry shampoo, slash, texturizing spray, and this is what they use after they like curl your hair, to give it like that. Really nice beachy texture, and you can also use it like on your roots as like kind of like a dry shampoo. So i'm excited to try this and then this is the formula 18 leave-in conditioner, which obviously you put in your hair after you shower - and this is just supposed to make your hair stronger, shinier help with detangling and then the last product she sent. I actually already have this so when i saw this i was like yes, i'm doing something right. I have one product that is already good, so this is the joyco k pack, color therapy, um reparative, styling oil and or restorative styling oil, and this stuff is so good. I don't really like, like argan oils or like moroccan oil, because i feel like the texture of them is like so thick and heavy, and you have to be really careful that you don't put too much in the texture of this is like so smooth and thin. That i feel like you can't really overdo it, and it just makes your hair feel like silk, makes your hair so shiny. If you have any like frizz or flyaways, this containment um, it's also like a heat protectant, so you can apply it to your hair, wet or dry, and i'm just obsessed with this stuff. It also smells amazing, so yeah. Those are the products that chrissy sent over. I'M really excited to try them out. Those are the products that she recommends to all her clients, so i'm sure they're, amazing, but yeah. That'S pretty much it. I'M gon na stop talking and we're gon na get right into the footage from that magical magical day. I'M on my way, i don't know how to get up there. It'S like up there. How do i get up up up up? Let'S say, let's put her hair down and look at it. Oh my god, i feel like this is what my hair looked like. When i was like in high school, these like intense stripes all the way, because i'm like stripy, oh dude, i love the chunks too they're, so great, okay, so first, what we do is we take. We put the beads in her hair, obviously, and then we clip up two different sides and then we're gon na put her hair down and we're gon na have her look at it and decide which one she likes better yeah. I think i like this. The little bit darker one like it's not so much yeah, okay, like that, might be too big of a change for me. Yeah. What time do the people will come? They'Ll come they'll, be coming like pretty soon yeah, probably like in 30 minutes, usually they're, always early because we're looking at 10 30.. It looks cute already huh guys somebody's getting expensive, surprise birthday. Surprise! Oh my god! How pretty it is! Oh, my god, i told you you weren't even gon na come. No, she wasn't even i'm like dying. I feel like i want to cry for you. I have to know she's my favorite person, oh my god. Now we have to go here. I'M dying! Oh guys. This is a huge deal. It'S a huge deal for me. I feel better because i should have given you this to begin with, but she offered. So this is amazing. Okay, so right now she has like a band because she colors with permanent color. So now we wait. I guess this is a dryer. It'S like a ufo whose hair is better. You guys, like a movie star uh. This is the end result so much hair. I feel like a victoria's secret mom. Here i am hair for days. Everybody needs some blood right, sure, okay, so here's the finished product. I love it and now she's a little sun kiss, instead of all one color gorgeous. That looks so good good. Thank you so much you

It looks amazing but they are heavy and you have to be so careful when you wash and brush your hair and it feels weird on your head too.. just take some biotin, let them air dry and you'll get beautiful long hair , and you can say they are natural!

KAZ411: I have sewn in wefts and love them. Lots of hairdressers do them. I need wavy wefts. Sunny's Hair in Mesa sells wavy Indian Remy hair wefts and I pay $198 for a bundle, which is enough for initial install and a touch up replacement in a few months. I get mine moved up about 9 weeks. These are the easiest to maintain and cheaper than I- tip. I feel them in my hair but you get used to them. I use sulfate free shampoo, Mane and Tail spray detangler, a good conditioner and a good detangler brush. You dont need all of the expensive products youre talking about, waste of $$. I also use hot rollers with a protectant spray, which really curl my extensions. No flat iron since I am wavy. I have to brush a little bit differently and wash very gently but overall, love sewn in wefts and would never do tape-ins and clip-ins were such a pain to put in. .....Kris
