Hey guys welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be a first impressions, video, slash review, video, slash demo, video all about hair extensions and, more specifically about foxy locks extensions. I don't know how many of you out there who wear extensions struggle to find the perfect pair, but that was definitely my dilemma. When I was looking for new extensions - and I did so much research just to find something that might work - and what I mean by might work - is that there were so many reviews saying these are amazing and a handful saying that they're not - and this goes for Literally, every company that I research, whether it was Bellomy foxy locks, hidden crown Lula bells, whichever extensions they were. There was not a single company or type of extension that did not have mixed reviews, but I finally decided on foxy locks, and so today I'm gon na unbox them because I arrived yesterday and I've been waiting eagerly to open this. So let's get started so for those of you who haven't seen me without long hair - and this is my natural hair, it's kind of short to medium, I would say a little below shoulder length and my hair actually used to never be this short. It used to look more like this and for some reason, at some time during I think it was my sophomore year of college. I decided to go a little bit shorter and it literally just never grew back. I'Ve tried certain vitamins, certain foods, certain hair masks. Anything you could think of to make my hair grow longer, even the whole oil massage thing none of it works. So, unfortunately, I have to stick to extensions. If I want longer hair for now, it actually has been growing a little bit more, and I think I might know why, but I'm gon na save off telling you why, until I can kind of confirm that it actually is working anyway. This is my hair. All natural, not even heat, touch, it's got a little wave to it. If you can see - and it's not exactly thin - it's not super thick, but I would say medium to thick, and so another thing for me about extensions is that they need to be on the thicker side, because otherwise they will not blend with my hair. Well - and I absolutely hate when that happens, because you spend all this time all this money trying to find the perfect extensions and they literally just want with your hair - and that is the worst so without further ado. Here are the extensions, so I don't know. Foxy locks had some sort of promotion, but I think they shipped with something called DHL and it got here and about. I want to say four days, which is pretty cool because they are not in America. So that was very fast. I'M in California, if you didn't know, and something also really nice about foxy locks - is that they have a way for you to return the extensions that they don't work for you, and that is by providing a bottom compartment here, with a sample pair that you can Take out of the net and try on do whatever you want with them, and if you don't like it, it's the wrong color wrong text, you're wrong thickness. You can just close it back up and send it back. But if you do like the tester extension, then you can open up the rest of the package and once you break this seal right here, you can't return them. So I like that they give you a way to test that out. I actually already did test this out, and yet another thing that I like about these is that the tester strip is actually super thick. I would not have expected that much hair just to test and see if it's your color, so I'm hoping that the rest of them are that thick as well. So let's do it! I'M gon na open up this bottom compartment right here and pull out the tester piece, as you can see it's in this little net thing, so I'm just gon na pop that right out - and this is what you're left with so this is quite a tester piece In my opinion, I held it up to my hair yesterday just to make sure that it was the right color before I even filmed this video and I would say it's a pretty good match by the way. These are the 18-inch extensions in 613 Hollywood blonde. So yeah I'm gon na open up the rest of the package and get into this review by the way before I open at the second compartment. Can we just talk about the packaging? Real quick? I mean look, how nice that is. It'S matte black with boxy locks in shiny gold, matte white right there and inside you've got some more gold, and on top of that, it's also really sturdy packaging with a sturdy, really sturdy type of plastic. On top. So in terms of packaging that, I would say a plus, it's also not too thick or thin yeah, I love so I'm gon na open this main compartment now and oh you've got a little box of extra clips here, just in case them fall out. So that's really useful. I like that and then we've got the extensions. Oh my god, I'm so excited these actually feel kind of heavy like not heavy heavy, but like there's a lot of hair there. So I'm excited to see if they blend well with mine wow. I'M impressed so this is actually quite a hefty amount of hair if you were to put it into a ponytail. This is how thick it would be, which I am a fan of. This definitely feels like human hair, which is good because it claims to be a hundred percent remy human hair, and it's also super soft, almost as though they have a coating on them. But I read in the reviews that after first washing and some styling with heat tool, it ends up looking a little bit more like real hair. So if you're worried about it being too shiny or too soft compared to your hair texture, it does even out a bit. So in terms of what you get in the package. They give you a 1-5 clip weft 1/4 clip weft 2/3 clip weft. One of them came in the pack of the extensions and the other one was the tester piece, 2 clip weft and one clip weft. So this looks like a lot of hair and I'm really excited to put it in. So I'm gon na go ahead and do that and then get back to you guys, ok, the extensions are in and straight away. I can tell you guys that this is a lot of hair, I'm gon na back up, so you guys can get a better look. So these are the extensions I didn't do any styling with them. I just wanted to see how they would look with my natural hair, and I would say that they look amazing. I got the 18 inch because the 20 and 22 inch ones that are more popular are a bit too long for my liking. I feel like, since my face is on the longer side, having longer hair, just kind of accentuates it all and drags everything down. So 18 inches good enough for me for long hair, so I'll give you guys a before and after shot, real, quick and now that we've got that covered. Let'S talk about them, so something about different types of extensions that I didn't know was a thing is having them double drawn, so these extensions are double drawn, and this basically just means that they are the same thickness from top to bottom, which I love, because who Really want extensions that teeter out into little tiny thin strands right. Also in terms of my hair, I think that they blend really well. Obviously, I didn't do any styling to them, so in those before-and-after shots you may have noticed the difference between my hair and the extensions, but if I were to straighten them all or curl them all or do whatever to them, i 100 % think that these would Blend well, another thing that I love about these is that the color matches my hair perfectly, and that was something that I struggled with with other extensions for a little while, because I dye my hair with box dye that I get at Walgreens. So there's no salon professional telling me what color I am, and I had to figure that out for myself - and in case you guys were wondering at the hair dye that I use is the L'Oreal Paris extra light natural blonde in LBO. There'S a little close-up for you guys so yeah that is my hair color, these match perfectly and I'm in love. Oh also, pricing is something else that I wanted to touch on it because most extensions are pretty expensive if you're getting true 100 % remy human hair. It also depends on what length you get and so obviously the shorter the length the less it costs. Since my extensions are 18 inches, I think they retail for 140 dollars, but I use the honey app by the way. This video is not sponsored whatsoever by honey or foxy locks or anyone - and these are just all things that I use in love and so anyway, using the honey app. I got $ 10 off my purchase, so these ended up costing me at 130 dollars with free shipping that free shipping gets me every time. Also in case anyone is curious to know. I have all the extensions in my head. I started with the 3 clip on the bottom, then the 4 clip than the 5 clip then another free clip and then the 2 clips on the sides kind of and then the 1 Clips right here on top just to like my little shorter hairs here. Another thing that I wanted to touch on and I'm gon na come closer, for this are the west's themselves, so I'm gon na take out one of the Siegel website here. So there's one piece - and I just wanted to show you guys exactly how sturdy these are. First of all, the clips seem to be really really strong. I don't know if you guys can tell, but they are tight. I also like that on the top here it says, foxy locks. I just think that's a really cute detail and then, of course, my favorite part is the fact that these are the seamless West. I'Ve never owned a pair of seamless extensions before and sis I needed them, even though my hair is kind of medium to thicker thickness. For some reason, the hair on the top of my head is thinner and because of this, the weft on previous extensions that I've owned have really shown through some times and that's not a look, I'm trying to go for it. So these seem to be really good at hiding themselves, and I really appreciate that so I'm just gon na pop this one right back in so that is basically all I have to show and tell you guys. I just wanted to do an unboxing in front of you and a review, and the demo is just me wearing them. I didn't really feel like showing some I put them in, because I feel like that's kind of self-explanatory. In a way, you just kind of put the hair where you need the hair is not really rule to it and there's so many other videos on how to put them in. So I didn't want to waste your time with that, but anyway, I hope you guys liked this review of the foxy locks extensions. I cannot wait to start wearing them. My previous ones, that you saw me wearing and all my other videos are actually extensions that I made myself believe it or not. I bought some weft online and I cut them myself sew them together myself, though, some clips onto them myself from an old pair of extensions I'll, actually insert some pictures right here of what they looked like when I first got the track, and then I just cut The chalk up into different pieces after measuring my head, some of the weft, were double wefted. Some of them were triple wefted. I was trying to make the hair as thick as I possibly could and here's a picture of when they were first in my hair, and then I cut them and finally, what they ended up. Looking like now, I'm aware that these are not the best extensions ever they are homemade and I'm not a professional in any way whatsoever. Also, I'd like to mention that these were made of synthetic hair when I bought the track. I really didn't know that much about extensions, and I didn't really know what it was like to work with synthetic hair. And so what I came to find is that it didn't hold a curl very well and they were only used best with my straight hair, and that is why I ended up deciding to splurge a bit more on some professional, not homemade, 100 % human hair, so That I can do all the hairstyles that my heart desires and not have to worry about the extensions looking as bad just for fun. I'M gon na grab the other ones and show you guys what I used to be wearing. So these are my homemade old extensions and they are about 15 inches long because I didn't really know anything about all the different kinds of lengths, so I just kind of cut them to where I liked them. Here'S an example of one of them. So, as you guys can see, I had cut the track into three different pieces and sewed them all together and then sewed on some clips from an older pair of extensions that I had, and that is what I was wearing in my hair for literally a year And now I'm so happy to finally have a professional pair. I hope you guys like them as well - and I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I don't think I'll be posting an update video, but if you guys have any questions about how the extensions are working out for me feel free to leave them down below I'll try to get back to you.
