Hey bye, hey everybody! Welcome back to my channel, it's shyla shay today, i'm bringing you this tapin hair extension, video, a review and a install. So i'm showing you how i installed them myself, which was honestly. Oh, my goodness, it was a challenge. Okay, it was definitely a challenge inserting them myself when doing the back of my hair. That part was the hardest, but other than that they're, really not that bad. Once you get the hang of it um, it's just very, very, very time, consuming when you're trying to look at the back of your head. So i definitely recommend like two mirrors when trying to look at the back of your head, and you know prayers, because this is a challenge i was actually trying to put mines in while looking on my monitor. So it was hard because my left was the monitor's right, so i was like trying to match it up and listen. I had the hardest time. It was honestly a challenge, but it's doable. You can do it, but it's a challenge to see the back of your head and put these in, because you have to line the tape exactly together, so it can lay right and be placed in right, so you won't have like breakage and damage. So that was the hardest part, but other than that, these tape in extensions are so bomb. I have 22 inch tape in hair extensions. I use three packs to complete this look and these are from amazing beauty, hair extensions. These type ins - and i have had these in for about a few days and i'm honestly in love - you guys, like you, know how i love wearing my clip-ins, but these tape ins are honestly the truth like these are bomb, and it's just so crazy because it Feels like scalp like if someone touched your hair, they wouldn't be able to know that you have tape, ends in because it's so so so flat. You literally just feel like you're touching your scalp. When you touch your hair, it's so much you could do with it. You could put it in ponytails like there's so much, you could do with it and it's just super flat and seamless. It feels like good quality hair. It feels just like my hair they're, a lot like clip-ins, but it's way different because they're so flat and seamless clip-ins, you know, are kind of bulky and you can feel them when you touch them. You can't feel these at all. When you touch your scalp. It'S soft, it's shiny, it's bouncy, it's long, they're dark and they really match my hair texture really nicely, and i really really enjoy these um. I just really like the flexibility of these extensions, because there's so much you can do with them. Like i said they're just so seamless, you literally can't feel them at all and that's what i really really like about them, because these look like my hair, like nobody, can tell that this is not my hair. So far so good. When i wrap my hair at night, it just wraps perfectly that's how i go to sleep with these, so i leave them in. I wrap my hair and put my scarf on and i'm able to go to sleep with them and then brush it out and it literally lays flat again. I don't have no issues with wrapping it at night and when i go to the gym, i just throw it up in a ponytail. It'S super quick super easy. So far, none of the tape is like sliding out or anything. I haven't had any issues with that. Um they are in there pretty good. They stick pretty well, so once they're in there they're pretty much in there and that's what i really like about it, you can leave tape ins for about six to eight weeks. I haven't had them in that long. So i don't know how they are once you wash them and blow dry them and re-straighten them, and all that i haven't, i haven't worn them that long, so i don't know yet, but if y'all want me to wash my hair and tell y'all how that goes, Let me know in the comments down below and i will do another video on that and if you want to see a video on how i remove them, let me know because um yeah, i have to look up how you remove them. I'Ve seen a couple things like some people say, use alcohol and i'm just like. I don't really know if i want to put alcohol on my hair. That just sounds very damaging, so i think i'm going to do the oil route and they say you can use oil to remove them. So i'm just going to try to like put oil on them and kind of work it into the tape and extensions and hope they just slide right out, but we'll cross that bridge once i take these out. If you want to see a video on how i take them out like this video and leave a comment down below but yeah, i'm really really satisfied with these uh tape. Ins. So far, i haven't had any issues with them. If you're wondering about like, are they damaging to your hair and everything? I would honestly say that if they're installed improperly, it could be damaging to your hair and your hair could break off. You have to install them correctly by aligning both tapes together and having a small amount of hair in between the sandwich of the extensions, so um. If you do, if you apply them correctly, i don't really think it's very damaging to your hair. But if you don't apply them correctly and you have part of your hair, that is not sectioned off, that's supposed to be in the extension and all that it can pull and tug and be damaging to your hair. So you want to make sure that you install them properly and also, if you don't remove them correctly, they can be damaging to your hair as well. So you want to make sure that you are removing them and inserting them properly and then i think it's fine for your hair. Honestly, it's just little tape like a little adhesive. It'S nothing super thick or anything. It'S literally so thin like here's one like when you take off the sticker, it's literally like the adhesive is so thin. Like i don't know, if you can see, you see it's just a thin layer of adhesive any tension on your hair period, whether it's sew-in tape, ins, clip-ins, you know any tension on your hair could cause it to be damaged over time. You know could cause it to break over time, but, like i said, if they are inserted properly, i think you'll be fine. This was my first time installing them so bear with me. You guys it took me a minute to put these in and to do this correctly, so i tried my best, but they came out really really bomb. So, let's get right into this video, i'm going to show you all. I installed these tape ins by myself. All on my own and they came out looking so good and i absolutely love them. Let'S get right into the video you guys, i'm really really excited, because this is like the new trend. That'S been popping in the hair industry lately or in the beauty industry. Lately, i'm really excited to try them out today. I'M using hair extensions from amazing beauty, hair extensions and it's 100 human hair extensions. It is remy hair extensions, meaning that the um cuticle is going in one direction. That'S what remy means. Sometimes remy hair can be dyed or chemically treated, but i'm trying these hair extensions. This is my first time ever doing tape. Ins extensions, so we just gon na figure this out and see how it goes um. I did watch a few videos on how to install them, so i'm just gon na show you like what i've learned. If you want me to do a curly, hair tape and extension video, i can do that as well, because they do have curly hair tape. Ins. I'M not sure if this particular company has curly hair tape ins, but i know that there are curly hair tape ins available for purchase. I will get some of those if you guys want me to do another video on curly, hair tape and extension. So, just let me know in the comments below let's get right into this video you guys so right now. Sorry, if you see me looking over to the side, i have my monitor over here now. I have a monitor now you guys, but anywho so with amazing beauty, hair extensions. It comes in a box, so i got four packs of 1b 22 inch tape in extensions. So that's what this is. So it comes with the tape ins and it comes with a crocodile hair, clip a comb and the double sided tape, and it also comes with a little instruction card on how to install it and washing it and the return policy. So i thought that was cool. Yeah, so it pretty much has everything you need in the pack to install the tape ins, so you really don't need anything extra. It even gives you a comb, so i also wanted to show you guys what the hair looks like. So it's really soft and it's 22 inches. So it's really really long and then the tape ins look like this, so they look like little tape and that's what i'm going to stick to my hair, but it feels really really good. It feels like good quality hair. Okay, so you do want to make sure that your hair is clean, so i washed it i blow dry it and i flat ironed it. That is the best way to start off with your tape in extensions, you want to start off with clean hair, wash blow dry and flat iron okay, so you want to section off the bottom half of your hair, so when you put it in a ponytail, the Tape ends won't show you just need. A small slither of hair doesn't have to be much just enough to cover up the tape ends. Okay, so that should be enough. Just a little slither of hair is all you need, and then you want to section off the hair for the tape ends. So the method that i'm doing is i'm going to lay the extensions, the taping extensions on top of my hair on some tape and extensions. If you see it like, when stylists do it, they put it underneath your hair and then lay the other extension on top, but i'm going to put the extension on top of my hair and then lay the other extension on the bottom. So i'll show you what i'm i'll show you what i mean because it'll be easier. If you can see it but um, i watched a video and they said that it was easier and faster if you lay the extension on top and then put the other extension on the bottom okay. So i'm gon na take the tape off okay. So i'm gon na start in the middle. I'M just gon na lay the tape in right in the middle of my hair, and i kind of laid this one too low. You don't want it to be too low, but you don't want it to be right on your scalp either. You want it to be. Like right here, you don't want it to be on your scalp, because it'll be hard to move it around. When you put the tape ends in you want to be, you want it to be movable, so i kind of made this one a little low, but you just want it like right here: okay, so now i'm just going to place the other ones on the sides. Next to it, okay! So now i'm just going to press the tape in into my hair, so it can gather a little hair from underneath. So you still want to make sure that you're leaving enough out on the bottom for your leave out. So you can cover up the tape in and put it in a ponytail. You just want to press that in a little bit and lift it up, and you see you have a little hair on the adhesive and then you're just going to place the next tape. In underneath, and so what i'm gon na do, is i'm gon na place them on top first and then i'm gon na put them underneath i'm gon na be creating like a little sandwich with the tape ends, but that's pretty much how you do it. You don't want to lay the extension too close to the other extension you want to like leave a little space in between you. Don'T want them to be right on top of each other, and you don't want them to be too close together. So you just want to leave a little space in between the extension and then you also want to make sure that you have hair left out on the perimeter, so you can put it in the ponytail. So you just want to leave a little hair out on the sides as well. Then you want to leave hair out at the bottom and on the perimeter. So i'm going to see if this one needs to be cut because it might be a little bit too long so yeah. I think i'm just gon na cut this one just so i can make sure that i'm leaving hair out on the perimeter it's hard trying to do this on my monitor, because everything is like flipped, you know it's like opposite. So it's like hard for me to like do this watching my monitor okay, so i'm just going to flip these up and then i'm going to place the other tape and extensions right. On top of these that i placed in my hair already right. On top of the tape, it's kind of tricky to see where you put the extension in because my hair is blending in with the extension but y'all. This is trial and error. We doing this together, but um yeah. The girl that i watched she had red hair um and the tape was like dark, so you could see where her hair was and where the tape was. But my hair is dark and the tape is dark, so we just don't figure it out. Okay, so i can kind of see it. You basically just want to aim to lay the tape in right on top of the other one, so you basically just want to create a sandwich when you lay the tape in on top of the other tape and extension. So you want to line it up exactly if you can line it up exactly together to create the sandwich and to avoid damage and breakage from having hair, that's not in the sandwich or that's not supposed to be in the sandwich. If that makes sense, when it's your first time doing it, it's gon na look a little janky and then you'll start getting the hang of it, so don't be like freaking out if, like they're, not super perfectly aligned and everything like once you like start doing it More you'll get the hang of it and it'll be easier and plus it's a little harder for me because i'm looking at my monitor, which is opposite, you know what i mean. So it's a little difficult so, but once you do it in the mirror it'll be it won't be that hard. So then, you just want to like squeeze them together to make sure they're good inside of the sandwich nice and tight inside of the sandwich. So then it looks like this: i'm just laying the extensions on top of each other creating a little sandwich, and then i'm just going to do this all the way till i get to the top, and you want to make sure that on the next row you Leave out a little slither of hair before you take out the hair to lay the next row of extensions, because you just need a little slither of hair. You don't want. The tape ends to be laying right on top of each other. You just need a little slither just like that much so you're going to leave that out and it's just better for blending purposes to have a sliver of hair left out and then to take another row out for the tape ends. So that's what i'm doing now on this row, i'm taking out the piece for my tape ends. Do okay, so i applied these off camera because i was starting to get out of frame and i couldn't see, but basically i just put the tape in on top of the other ones. Just like i've been doing the whole time do. Okay, so the back of my hair is done now, i'm just gon na work on the front of my hair, and i probably don't need that many in the front i just needed to blend in with the back, because you know the front of my hair is Kind of short, so yeah, so i'm just gon na, do the same exact thing that i did in the back to the front. So i'm gon na section off that end piece of my hair. So i'm just going to section off like the perimeter, so i can put it in ponytails and then i'm going to start. Maybe i need a little more hair. This front part do do. Do do do do do do do do do do do okay, so my camera, just like, ran out of memory or something, and it won't. Let me film on it anymore. So i'm back on my phone, but i was in the middle of trying to put a little piece in the front right here on this side, because you see how it's like short right there, but i don't know i might just leave it this side. Don'T look that bad? Maybe i need to just add like one more track up here to like hide that this short piece. So that's what i'm gon na do. Hopefully i can still put it in a ponytail with that little piece right there, i'm gon na test. It out, let's see that's much better okay. So now, i'm just gon na straighten this out a little bit because it's like kind of wavy, so i'm gon na straighten it out, so it could be bone. Silky straight. Do all right! You guys i'm finally finished that took literally so long. It took so long to do, but these are so bomb. I want you to be able to see the whole thing, but yeah these are super bomb. Do do. Okay, i had to go. Lay down my edges. Real quick and swoop down my baby hairs. So here is the final look. You guys do do. Thank you guys so much for watching this video.
