Here's who did my amazing video intro!

Darren Stauth -- [email protected]

Hey guys, so I'm like ridiculously fancy for sitting down in videotaping right now, but uh. I just got ready for church because I'm singing on the priest team at my church tonight. So we have to like look like a woman, and I realize we have like 30 or 40 extra minutes whistling never happened. So I figured I would talk about the hair extensions that I got because a lot of you guys are actually asking me like snapchat and on my Instagram account and stuff like that. So, just briefly, I will explain what I got and where I got it from um. If you follow me on snapchat, then - and I think I mentioned earlier - that I got the hair extensions from Falabella, hair, calm and I'll either put it on the screen or I'll put it in the description box. I ordered taping extensions from them. I ordered, I think, for total sets of 20 pieces of hair. You can buy it like more efficiently. You can buy like a set of 40 pieces and then another set of 40 pieces, and I want to say that they're, like $ 80 to $ 90 each. I think that's the price but they're always having some sort of discount where you can get like 15 % off. So I think, all in all, I don't think I paid more than like 150 for all the hair, which is not bad, like that's a really good price for tape in extensions and also the quality of this hair, like it's really really nice quality and it's soft. It'S holding up under heat and stuff like that, not drying out, I really like it. So this is what it looks like they're, very small pieces, and this is uh. Here'S like one piece. This is like the backing of the tape. This has a super super sticky glue on it. I want to say it's kind of like double sided tape. No, no, it's double sided tape is like really tacky. That'S what this is like and what you do. Is you take two of these? So here's the sticky part of this one in here it's the sticky part of this one you like put up together on top of your own hair. So you take like a small little piece, obviously not at the top of your head, but just for examples sake. You put one under there and you sandwich this one on top and that's how it hangs in your hair and obviously you go really close to the root but not like on on the root so that the hair can like be like. It can move up and down as a something like trapped stuck to your root, either 620 of inches. I think I ordered 16 because when they got the he was 18 or 20-inch clip in extensions up that company sent me there just like a little bit too long, but so far I really really really like them. It was super weird and like kind of uncomfortable. I was working out this morning, cuz they ended up doing a hit cardio after my back workout, and it was weird I felt so like out of place having extensions in my hair because I, like, I think, was oh they're getting cherry they're getting sweaty gross and, Like when I came home, I was like yeah but, like I ended up just like dry shampoo in the absolute crap out of all of my roots like under here and stuff, just because I think it does take like the owner of the salon that I went To told me to like not wash my hair for 24 hours and to not like let a lot of oils go anywhere near the roots of my hair, just like that glue that bond could like set. I curled it. Today. I used a 1 and 1/4 inch. Curling iron on this and extensions curl a lot faster and stay curled more than natural hair, just little tip for you guys who don't like wreck the heck out of your extensions normally for, like my hair, I have to like curl it and then leave that iron On there, for like a hot second before releasing it feels like you, wrap it around the barrel and like you, don't even have to wrap it tight and just release, and it's a nice curl it'll stay. This will stay until I like take like straighten it myself or wash it. That'S. What'S awesome about extensions. Is that the whole curl really really? Well, I don't know why, but that's just how they are, but doing like a little spin. I don't know to see you guys can see what it looks like on the back. I hope this is well brushed out appropriately, but it's not an exact color match for me, but it's really really darn close and I like them. I don't know I like them. Better than clippings, because it was nice waking up and like again I know I'm weird, I just feel so much better like I just feel prettier with really long thick hair versus, like my short hair. That makes me look like a meth addict. I don't know, like short wispy hair, I hate my natural hair, so these are awesome how in these also, I think they last. I feel, like I'm already said this, but they're supposed to last, like between eight to twelve months, eight to twelve weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows out, because you can see see, I can shoot, is better than what I showed you earlier. There'S one right. There um see how it's like close to the roof, but it like is still flexible. That'S what you want um and so as the hair grows from the root. This is obviously going to be growing more down and be like more flexible and - and you know obviously once I have like - I don't know like half an inch of regrowth. It might be kind of weird for, like the extensions to just be hanging on with that, like half inch of you know regrowth, I don't know between my head knee extension, we'll see how it works. I feel like I feel, like I'm, probably not gon na, go back to get them fixed for, like probably two or three or four months, knowing myself, I tend to just stretch everything regarding my hair way longer than it should like washing it fixing up the highlights Anything really just really lazy. Back, oh and last thing, I've heard - and some of you guys have said that you disagree with me, but I from all the research that I've done. I'Ve heard the tape ins are better for your hair in terms of damage, then the clip ends, and I would agree with that because, as long as I can dissolve this glue, this is really not gon na damage. My hair, like it's not pulling on my hair. I haven't fought it breaking anything. You know it's sandwiches, the hair like like this so like that hair, that's in the middle, it's just all has like the same amount of tension on it and it just stays there like. I can't even what would damage it other than its like when I was removing them the glue like got my hair and caused a mess, but I found a lot of really easy ways to dissolve the glue so that these just slide right out. But anyway, the clip ends. I think I've said this before when I clip them in. I would have to like tease an area of my hair to get it like coarse enough for the clip to stick in and then I clip it in and then at the end of the day like there would be like, like 15 clips in my hair, that Have to go through each one and unclip them and then like this is bad. I know, but I would just like pull gently from the bottom to like gets the extensions to come out, and I stopped doing that for like the last month. I'M gon na try to be better about it and like take each individual clip out, but it still would snag my hair and cause breakage. So for me to be clipping extensions in and out like two or three times a week and then just not feeling cute the other five days a week that was more damaging in my opinion, to what this is gon na do for my hair. So is this less damaging? In my opinion, I think it's going to be I'm not a hair stylist though so what do I know, but yeah? That'S probably gon na wrap up this video. I feel like a end. All of these the same way, I say: that's gon na wrap up this video. I do something awkward and then, on the end, wouldn't even have like a signature goodbye. Nobody, like really cool you guys, will like look forward to it every week. It'S not gon na be this week. Awkward, bye,

Fibro Fit Warriors: Haha the ending :) The extensions look great! They really blend well. And I think you're right that clip ins are definitely damaging. For a while I was wearing some and I could tell my hair was a lot thinner. So far I'm happy with how my hair is now but every now and then I get the itch for extensions :)

holly perkins: Tape ins saved my hair! it has grown so much and gotten so much thicker since last may when I got them put in. they cover and protect your hair, you don't need to use as much heat or product and I used to only put my hair in one style ponytail at the gym before and that caused it to break in that spot. with the extensions you have more options, you can braid it to the side for instance. also just a warning, I went 8 weeks before I got them moved up the first time and if you go too long and if you don't braid them at night time your new growth will turn into dread locks and it'll take 6 hours for your mom and hour hairdresser to brush them out

Raqui: I like your awkward good bye I think that is your signature it keeps you real.I actually read that the tape in are better for your hair.  I was nervous about getting them for my show but now I'm excited they look good

Elizabeth Kennedy: Could you do an update on the extensions? They look beautiful but I've never heard of this company! Thanks in advance!

KitKat: just wondering what about when you are drying or brushing does it pull or damage as you are doing that? I am looking into the tape in ones. Thanks for the video :-)

Andrea Hammer: Can you still do high ponytails without seeing the bond??

Kristin M: how do you brush or wash your hair with them in? the brush or your fingers don't pull or snag them out?

Haley Rodriguez: I love your outfit!!!

H Madi: Do you think someone with damaged hair could get them?

Claire Gostyla: I think I've mentioned to you before that I had tape extensions and am getting them back in for my wedding in May. They really don't damage your hair at all!! My hair is so healthy right now! And the tape dissolves surprisingly easy for how strong it is. But not once did I ever feel like they were getting loose or anything. They lasted perfectly for 2 months and then I'll have the same set put back in two more times. Did your hair dresser charge you extra for putting them in? I know you were saying it was so much cheaper to do tape ins but I had heard it was comparable in price from my hair dresser because of the labor charge of putting in the beads and the tape extensions so it was still a few hundred dollars for me!

Holly A: did you put them in yourself? or do you recommend a hair stylist to tape them in for you

Derek Bratzke: awwww no kittten lol
