How To Remove And Re-Apply Tape In Extensions Yourself - Using Amazing Beauty Tape In Extensions

I'm going to show you how to remove and re-apply tape In extensions yourself using the AmazingBeauty Hair Extensions.

I want to thank AmazingBeauty for sending me a new set of longer hair extensions to try out. I know I've only had the 14" extensions in for a short amount of time but they were kind enough to send me the 18" highlighted set to try and I decided to go longer with my hair. The new set are Highlight Extensions so these are both color #12 & #60.

I'm showing how easy it is to remove my current extensions, how you would then re-tape them to use them again and also showing me adding the new, longer ones.

Birthdays today, I am going to be reapplying my hair extensions. However, this time I have a new set that amazing Beauty was kind enough to send me. I had a 14-inch set before and they sent me two packets of their 18-inch hair and this time it's a blend of shades. So I have the colors twelve and sixty and this bundle - and you can get the whole thing in there, because it's 18 inches long way back here. So this is real human here, it's extremely soft, just beautiful beautiful here. What I did was, I went ahead and took the 14-inch ones out, so I'm going to insert a video right here showing me removing those and then, if you were to reuse your hair again, here's a little clip on how you replace the tape on those. Now I'm gon na be frightened honest with you guys. I didn't care for the tape that came on their hair and I had purchased just as backup some hair extension tape. It'S a no shine. It makes this. It'S a walker tape. If I purchase this off, Amazon I'll have a link to it down in the description box that you get 120 pieces in this. So before I put this new here in I'm, going to go ahead and take off the tape. That'S on that and put this tape in, I find that it just did a much better job of keeping the hair in, because I did have. Oh, I had three of them that not the whole thing came apart. One of the West come part, and I don't know if that was me not just getting them lined up perfectly or if it was just the tape that failed. But I found that after I went in replaced those using this tape. Those one stayed in and there was no budging and I actually had a little bit more difficulty, removing the ones that have this on it compared to their tape. So that's what I'm gon na do is. So I make sure this set stays in really well. So let me go ahead and take moment off-camera, so you don't have to watch me. Do this and I'm going to go ahead and put this tape on those West. I didn't I'll be right back hi guys before we get into the actual video. I am just going to insert this right here because somehow my microphone became unplugged for the rest of the video until the very very end part of it. So I have absolutely no audio and I am going to be just doing a voice over for the rest of the video you'll, be seeing my mouth move, I'm going to edit out as much as possible just to make it go as quickly as possible. That just want to let you know what was going on, and I realized that until now and it's like 9 o'clock at night, I've got in the rain. Today I went out on dinner date with my husband and my hair is kind of hot best right now, but I did want to show it to you, because I did have a chance to get into the hairdresser and get it styled. There'S still some curl left in it, but she went ahead and layered it into my existing hair and then she probably got about that much off the length as well. So let me do a quick turnaround for you, so you can see how it looks all the way around now that I've had a chance to get it properly cut and styled. I think that just help everything blend in so much better. I can't even really tell what is the fake hair in my hair until I start going in and separating things out, but anyway, let's get onto the video, because this is gon na. Take a long time. Sorry about that. Well, this is where the audio click up on my video. So what I'm talking about here is well. I have pinned in my hair up and actually suction it out. I have a section on each side and then made a big one at the back. However, I left a gap, probably about two inches, where I am staying away from my hairline, so that when I pull my hair up, you won't see any of the edges of the tape. So again, I am switching from a 14 inch to an 18 inch with this round of hair, so these ones are quite a bit longer and they'll actually be easier for you to see in my hair compared to the 14 inch ones. And if you missed that video, I will leave a link up in the corner, so you can go ahead and watch that as well. So what I've done is I've made a semi straight line across the back and we are going to place the first strand of hair. If you watched my previous video, I was placing the first wept of hair underneath and what I've discovered. It'S actually easier to go ahead and apply the first one actually right on top, and you want to try and get this as straight as possible and as close to your roots as possible and then just press that down and just press the heck out of it. So it's a hearing really good and then what you want to do is actually lift that piece up and we'll be applying the second left to the underside of that. So what that does is it gives you a section of hair that has your own hair stuck into it, and what I'm doing is just clipping that out of the way and I'm making sure that any hairs that I have that are not sticking to the weft Are going to be removed from that as well? Now I'm sorry, this was getting a little awkward trying to look in the mirror and make sure I was recording this Tainted frame. So it got a little bit awkward to do this part. But now you see I'm taking the second piece of hair and I'm peeling. The tape off of that, and we want to do is make sure that you're going in the proper direction. So this time you're going to be holding the hair upside down and if you're doing this to yourself, you're going to want to just kind of feel around and see where you can get the edge on that if you've got a good set of mirrors, I was Dealing with some pretty small mirrors to try and see what I was doing, you can see my struggle. Yes, the struggle is real, sometimes and then just place that right on top now, when you have the two pieces adhered together, you really want to press down and make sure that they are really hitting each other, getting a really good contact. So just press the heck out of that and now we're going to move on to the second one. So on this roll I'm only doing two wefts of hair and then, as I move up, I will be adding more weft in each line so again and I'm trying to make sure that I'm not overlapping that one I just put down. So it's a lot of feeling around back there and I'm just placing that second one and pressing again making sure they're not touching each other and then again lifting that up pulling up any hairs that are attached to it in any of the arts. I want to make sure that I take those out which I'm not doing a very good job right here. There we go and then we'll grab that second weft and adhere it right to that and again you want to make sure that you really press those two sections together and make sure that you've got your hair in there as well. You want to make sure that no other adjoining hair sections of hair getting caught in there so just feel around as you go all right now, I'm going to take down another section of hair, so we're gon na work on the second row up. So now you can really see what the difference of length is between my hair and the extensions making sure that I'm brushing through really well and not pulling on the extensions I just put in. I just want to make sure that I do not have any tangles whatsoever, and at this point I am simply repeating the same process. I'M going straight into the center of my hair, making sure that all of the loose hairs are up and out of the way, pressing that first weft down and just really pressing it and then once again we're going to lift that up. Along with any of the hairs that are attached to the tape any of the hair, is it aren't? I want to make sure I get those out of the way and the one thing I can tell that I'm doing wrong when I do this is I'm kind of getting them at an angle, so you really want to try and go as straight as possible. So I've noticed I'm just making that mistake and I am going in and fixing that - and here is the second line I'm going in and attaching that again a little difficult trying to feel but you'll get the hang of it pretty darn, fast and pressing. So we're just going to be repeating this on this row. I'Ll do I'll skip past the other two that I add and we'll move on to the next room. Alright, now we are moving on to the next row. I did really good to make in a straight line this time, but what I want to do is make sure that the ones that I am putting it on the sides are going to be at an angle. So, as you can see when I put my hair up they're going to go with these direction of my hair, because if I put them straight, they would just really stick out and kind of look bulgy in the ponytail. So what I want to do is I'm going to do four in this one, I'm going to do two straight across and then to at an ankle on each side all right now that I have the back completed, I'm going to move on to the sides. So I have kind of taken down part of the left side of my head and I am suctioning off a section where it's again far away enough to my hairline that it will not show. If I put on a or put my hair up in a ponytail or a bun or anything so again, I want to go at an angle, and I want to go the angle that my hair would go in the direction of a ponytail and the same thing. We'Ll flip that up and and I will work on putting the other weft in this is going to be a lot easier to do, because now I can actually see in the mirror what I am doing and you can see how I have my left's at an Angle and again, they're the same angle that they would go if I was putting my hair in a ponytail. The other thing, that's nice about doing it at this angle, is those hairs kind of naturally then fall forward towards your face. Instead of away from it, as you can see, when I pull it up, you do not see the edge of the way there at all. Now I have sectioned off yet another section of hair and again I'm going to go at an angle. I'M going to go slightly up and a little bit back from the one I had just put down that way. Those are kind of doing like the drip pattern, so they're not right on top of each other you're, just kind of offset from each other and taking all the little hairs out that are not sticking take the ones back that are and really pressing those down and Then I will put the other wept right on top. This part really goes a lot faster than it did on the back and by the time you get around to the front of your hair you're, not actually adding a lot of the sections you'll want to take. Your hair down every little bit and look and see where you should be adding new ones in there, as you can see they blend right in and now you can't even really see how my own hair is short in there at all. Do get your brush out. Quite frequently and brush through make sure you don't have any tangles or any of your own hair that is stuck in places. It should not be stuck now taking my hair down and I have really parted off another big section. I'M gon na place one more weft again slightly up and a little bit back just to fill in a section of hair there and just repeating the process where I will add the second part too. Alright. Now I am done with this side again, I'm going to run the brush through it just to make sure I've got all the tangles and everything out be really really careful. I can tell right there. I'Ve got something stuck so I kind of went in and loosened up the hairs that were in there and now I'm just going to repeat everything on the other side of my head. Now that I have all the West in place, I did want to quickly just kind of loosely pull my hair up in a ponytail, so you can see what a difference it made by keeping those webs to the edge of my hairline. That wasn't helpful because I have my hair in the way, but you can't see them now that I have my hair up. So I want to make sure that I go in and brush it out a lot and let's get this comb through all right now that I've combed it through. I wanted to show you what my hair looks like. Obviously you can see the difference between my hair. In there, as well as the new length, because it has not been layered in there and I haven't curled it or anything like that, so that is my next step to go in and curl my hair and I'll be right back wow. What a difference! A simple curling iron can make in your hair. So now you cannot see anywhere where my hair is sticking out and looking like it doesn't belong in there. It'S completely blended in just by going in and giving it some curls. You don't see any of the web. Sticky, as far as care, you want to make sure that you do not wash your hair for at least 48 hours. You want to make sure that those wefts have a chance for that adhesive to really stick to each other. The ones I have do not require any heat to set them, they just stick to each other and they stay right in there. So again, do not shampoo or do use dry, shampoo or anything like that on your hair for at least 48 hours take a lot care as well when you brush out. If there are any that are loose or don't feel right, then this is the time to go ahead and take them out and do them correctly because again they haven't cured. Yet they need like a full 48 hours to cure and they'll come out much easily. Now, as far as removing them, after talking to my hairdresser, she said that you can use a straight acetone to remove them and it makes it a lot easier than using the oil. So that's what I'm going to do the next time that I replace them, and I will report back to you, let you know how that goes. Okay, I don't want to thank you again for watching the video today. I am so sorry about the audio problems. That happens sometimes when you're filming you just don't get things plugged in properly, but I do want to go ahead and thank mazing Beauty for sending these extensions to me again. This is not a sponsored video. There was not paid for this. They just sent these to me for me to try and review for you. So here are my final thoughts on them. I love the fact that I have hair. Again again, I had a temporary allocation when I was on a medication, and I lost a great deal of my hair. So having my length again and my volume again is just wonderful and as we age, our hair naturally even gets thinner too. So those of you that have even short hair, you can definitely wear these there's wonderful ways to blend them in there's all kinds of things. If you look on line, there's all kinds of styles, you can get, and I've actually seen women who had like short hair, go in and get extensions put in their hair again they're, not permanent. You do need to replace them about every six weeks or so and definitely take them out if you're going to be coloring your hair. So that's kind of the perfect time to take them out, because hair color tends to run about every six weeks. Just depends on how quickly your hair grows again. I am NOT a professional, so I am just person who likes to try and do things on my own, so educate yourself as well about this. That'S what I did. I watched a lot of youtuber videos. I did a lot of reading online. I talked to my hairdresser prior to even doing this, so I had a good idea of what I was getting myself into yeah, it's a struggle, but again, if you can have a helper there just to help you get the straight lines. I think that would be even better, but I'm getting the hang of it and I'm really really like them. They feel like my own hair, I can watch them like my own hair. I can style them like my own hair. I just think they're beautiful, I haven't had any problems with them coming out at all now so now that I'm filming this I've actually had these in for five days now, so I'm just loving them, and actually, when my husband took me out to dinner tonight, I Got a compliment from our waiter on how pretty my hair was so haven't, had a compliment on my hair for a very long time. So I appreciate that a lot made my day. Actually, so, hey guys thanks so much for watching again, if you have not subscribed to my channel before, please take a moment to do that and also hit that notification bell so you'll be notified when I upload new videos on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and if you've Enjoyed the video, give it a thumbs up if you made it through with all my audio problems, give it a thumbs up and leave a comment down below. Let me know this is something you think that you would like to do or if you have attempted to put in extensions yourself or if you've, ever even just worn them I'd love to hear from you and get your thoughts on it as well.
