Wanna take out poorly fitted Nano hoop hair extensions but can’t cos of lockdown? Well... here’s how you do it DIY at home with a pair of pliers

I removed my own hair nano hoop hair extensions - DIY tip using household thin tipped pliers

I thought I would try some Nano hair extensions to give me a bit of extra length on my growing out undercut so I purchased some good quality Russian 1g real human hair bonds from eBay which I had fitted. Unfortunately I came to the conclusion that each strand of hair used to attach the strands of hair extensions were too small for each 1g bond, so all the hair was really pulling on my scalp.

I decided to DIY take them out myself as now in lockdown so here’s how I managed it with thin tipped pliers.

Hope you find this useful if you ever find yourself in a similar situation with nano loop hair extensions.

Much love,

Sam

Hi guys and welcome to my bathroom, i thought i'd. Do it a quick update, youtube video on my hair? Basically, what's happened? Is i've decided to get some nano hair extensions because i used to have an undercut under my hair all the way around the back, and i was thinking i wanted it long and things i had. I did. The hair show that i did and i thought right. I want to get some long hair, so obviously i went to get some hair, a similar brown. I was going to change the color and then color it anyway, but i thought i'd get some extra bits of hair and then put it in, but i had a few problems with it. Um they've been put in just fine, but i think each strand, because this is quite thick. Each strand is one gram, it's quite thick and i'm thinking that perhaps the strands that it's attached to themselves are quite quite thin. So what i'm going to be doing is i'm going to be diy, taking them out myself using these trusty pliers with a with thin tips, so it just goes to prove you don't need specialist equipment as long as you've got a thin tipped pair of pliers and I'Ll show you what to do. Follow me right. I'Ve put it on um, white screens and hope. You'Ll pick this up um. Obviously, if i style it better, it blends better, because obviously this hair is quite straight and my hair is quite curly and they've cut. It fairly short actually in comparison to what it was. It'S because i did the hair shows, but it's curled up, so it looks shorter than it is and don't forget the undercut was there as well. So all these extra bits i basically have had them added to my undercut all around the back in my head. I thought it was clever and if it was styled properly, it will be clever and i probably will do it again, but the problem is because the strands are so thick and and if the attac she's just she's done a really good job, don't be wrong. But they're all they're, all so close together and it's so heavy and it's been pulling and apparently you're supposed to have a bit of pain, not pain but discomfort when you're laying on them getting used to your scalp because they're new um, but there's so many clothes Together, it's really heavy on thin strands um, because i i saw a youtube video about an academy, um training session for nano hair extensions, and they basically said on that particular video anyway, that this strand of hair that they use should be the same thickness equal to The to the strand of extension that they're using and when they're looping it through um i've learned a lot about hair. I love stuff about how i find it really interesting, but yeah, let's um, these are the strands i've taken out so far, so you can see that one, for example, is the little loop on the end and these two have taken out what basically, what basically is The little it's like a little bead and it's pressed down with a clamp so to get it off literally, you just go the opposite way, clip it hold it, and it just literally falls out it's good for your hair. So i'll show you what to do, and i've learned this in the past few days. So you probably need lots of training courses, but that's all fun though i just did it right just because they're hurting me, so i'm just gon na take them out and then um. You can reuse the hair and in fact, next time i might get it all. Um, for example, look at that, for example, that's the thickness of the hair and that's the piece of hair they've used to attach it to. Can you see that that is going to be? Quite quite all the hair around the back gon na be pulling on these little strands. Maybe it's just me. Maybe she's done it correctly and i'm just moaning. So i apologize if that's the case but um, but no it was. It was painful. So what you do is i'm gon na basically do it by feeling it yeah clamp. It make sure it's the right round. Clamp bear with. Ah, so if i gently do it around, it might take me a while, but yeah i'm going to do them all and speed this up. You can see i was trying to achieve and it would work better if the strands that these thick hairs were attached to were actually strong enough or thick enough to hold onto them, because when you tug them after it's been, i don't know how long it shouldn't Be hurting so yeah out the cam and then i'll eventually get them back put in, so they don't hurt right. I'Ve managed to take them all out myself. That was 100 100 strands. 100 extension uh strands. Oh my god! You don't understand how amazing that feels. You can understand what i was trying to do, though. Basically i was trying to make fix the undercut, which is quite prevalent because it's quite high up and when i put my hair up, i didn't really want to have it. Like short, i thought it would disguise it stop me from wanting to do another undercut and i thought it'd be funky to have long, hair again um next time. I do it, though i'm gon na, do it not slow down very, very sensitive around that area. Really really pulls um, maybe i'm just being a wimp. I appreciate the girl that did it for me um, but i just think the strands that she did with the thickness of the hair was a bit too thin and it's been pulling um. So, in my opinion, whack them out. I couldn't i well in the middle a lot down, so there's no one here to do it for me, so needs masked, and all you have to do is there's always a pointy um, i'm not i'm not recommending anyone should do that on their own uh. Like i did, but you know it worked for me, you just have to make sure because it's clamped down it goes flat like this. It'S like a tube and it goes flat when they clamp it. So you just put it the opposite way. Clamp, it it'll open up and the hair can come out and that's how these these um the system works. The little tiny, individual, beads little tiny beads and the hairs get folded through the ends and then clamp down. That'S a lot of hair. That'S 100 um there! In total, that is so much better. Oh just feels so much nicer knowing that, because they were clipped quite tightly around the back of the neck um. Oh, it's a bit sore now, actually so yeah glad to have them out but um. I think if i have them done again, i'll wait for that bit to grow a little bit longer, get a little bit bit thicker sections used for putting them attaching them to the actual um. I'Ve got a spot there, actually um yeah to each strand and um. Hopefully, it'll be better next time, but um, maybe a little bit higher up as well um but yeah at least i managed to get them out because they were painful. Thank you very much for watching and um see you around the next one. Oh, if you like this sort of video, please subscribe push the bell, icon you'll be notified of any future videos. I do and yeah see you next video bye right. So here we go. Let'S see what we can do. Do you pick me up for the camera?
