Hey guys, it's Cassandra, and today I'm going to show you how to use these kiss Pat highlighters their feather or not highlighters their extensions. That'S what they're called well. This is bring highlights to your hair in minutes, so this calls them highlights, but they're not highlights their extensions. There are feather extensions and they come in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, different colors, there's red orange, green teal, yellow dark blue color, purple brown, pink and white. So here we can show you some of the different colors. This is red and you can see they're called feather extensions because they have these black lines of them. They kind of make them look like feathers, even though they're not really feathers, and then we have orange ones they're, not quite as bright as the red ones, and we have. I know they're all over the place green, which are pretty nice, and here are the teal ones. These ones are really pretty. I like these a lot, and then we have. These are the yellow ones. You'Re gon na hold the money, they're yellow the clinic roast. Looking. I don't like the yellow ones as much as the other ones. That'S probably my least favorite color um we've been calling them kind of puke green, but they're supposed to be yellow. Okay, you've been calling them to where you can say we could talk, and then we have these dark blue ones where it makes it a little more difficult to see the black lines, but they are in there and we have purple, which is kind of similar to The blue and then you can't really see the black feather lines in there, but there's still really nice extensions. These are brown, which kind of gives you, but I think that's the most typical feather look to it that the rest of them are all brightly colored, and so the brown one looks a little more like a real feather. If that's we're going for these are the pink ones like these, and these are the white ones, which also are another ones that look very feathery now my daughter normally wears extentions. She has two of them that she normally wears. We only have one in currently. She wears a blue one and a pink one mobile each side of her head, and so these work the same way that the extensions I normally put in our hair work. There are different kinds of extensions ones that are kind of woven into your head, but these are real simple. They use this bead method. These are the beads. And now, if you go to like sally beauty supply, you can buy the beads in different colors. So this is going to look a little weird, because the beads that the kiss Pat gave us are these tan colors and, as you have seen my daughter's hair before it is brown. So these beads are going to show up. But if you go to sally beauty supply, you can buy black beads or dark brown beads, and then they will fade into your natural hair. So it won't be as noticeable that you wear extensions, except for the fact that you have like bright blue extensions in your hair. That might tell people that your hair is fake, but they won't see the bead to make them think. It'S fake people think you guys, so people will think you dye your hair to be that feather pattern. This is the hair weaving tool. It will come in this kit or again sally beauty. Supply sells these as well, i think, are usually like two bucks, but between two dollars of five dollars are usually not too expensive. So what you're going to do is you're going to take your bead and you're going to there's a little mouth on this thing. It opens up wah, you want to close up the mouth and thread the bead onto your tool like this. So it's right here and we are using what we're using READ & WRITE all right, we're going to use the red extension for this. So here's our red extension hold that for me, please! So here's what you want to do open up that little mouth on your tool, you're, going to take a chunk of hair, not a huge chunk but a pretty decent chunk, because this is what's going to attach to the extension. So you want to make sure that there's enough hair to keep it like tight in there, but it's not going to get lost so put the mouth of your extension in there and grab a chunk of hair grab a chunk. I love you guys, can see what I'm doing, but well I'm trying to make it that they can see, but my hand keeps getting in the way so grab a chunk of hair and then what you're going to do is you're going to pull the hair through The bead, it didn't work, sorry take two. Somebody didn't brush your hair very well, first, it's very long, so it gets a little naughty so take two: sometimes it can take a little time, grab a chunk separate from everything else and then pull it through the bead. Alright, so now you're done with your tool, you have the bead here on your strand of hair. What you're going to do is you're going to take this. The end of these kind of look like shoelace, aglet, they're, all sort of you know: shoelace e plastic, and what you're going to do is you're going to stuff that into the bead, with your lock of hair and then what you need is some sort of crimping Tool, I have a pair of pliers here. They do sell like crimping tools that are flat and selling beauty or, if you make jewelry and you have a crimping tool that works fine, anything that is going to crimp the bead together and you want it real hard, because you want to make sure that that's Not going to just pull out when you empty when you up stop crimping, and that is it. This is not my best job, so I wasn't really looking at it, but here you go now. You can see it is in her hair, it's in pretty. Well, I can pull on it. It'S not going to come pulling out. Sorry, pull on your hair on I, the some tips on this, though, like I just did this to show you guys how to do it. What you want to do is when you're pulling out this lock of hair. You want to make sure that you're pulling an underside piece of hair and not one that's right on top, if you can see here on her head. This is since this is the wrong color for her hair. You can see it really clearly and in order to show you guys what was going on, I use a top piece of hair. So, that's absolutely not what you want to do, though, because you're looking to kind of blend it into your natural hair and you want it to look natural, you don't want it to look like you have an extension in your hair. So you want to make sure that you put it. You know what here we can show. You here is her blue extension that she normally hasn't each way that you can't see it actually see she has a black bead here, it's really hard to see and when she has her hair down. Normally it's underneath her top layer of hair. So it kind of blends in really well and there's a lot of people that actually don't realize that she wears colored extensions until she puts them up in a ponytail and you can kind of see the streaks or, if i don't know, i guess if we point It out people will notice it, but there's a lot of times that people don't notice that you're wearing them yeah. So these are real simple. They come out super easy. If you want to get rid of them, you just crimp the bead the other way and it pops right open and you can pull the extension out, there's actually no damage to the hair. If they stay pretty well. Most of the time too, you can wash your hair with them. They can't put conditioner on them, though you can't put conditioner on them. It does kind of make them up. When you wash your hair, it's full well, you can shampoo them right. You can't build a week in free conditioner on the beat you can't put conditioner on the bead, because it will make the bead kind of gross and then the things the extension starts to pull a little bit. But you also can't put heat on them, so they won't work in the curling iron. You'Ll just burn them in the melt because they are plastic, they're fake. So those are the only things probably don't want to put dryer a hair dryer on them. Any sort of heat is not good for them, but otherwise you can use your styling products and everything and they work pretty much like real hair. The only time that you really need to replace them is you'll see when your hair grows out that the bead will grow with your hair. It'S obviously not going to slide back up, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you need to get a new extension. You can just get a new crimping bead and move the extension farther up your hair, although we usually just replace them it's easier and after a while, sometimes they get a little gross from being just existing. Just you know, being in your hair all the time, hair, oils and dirt, and that is it. They are super super easy um like I have a terrible time doing hair. So, if I can do them pretty much, anybody can do them. People are always complimenting the extensions thinking, they're super difficult, but they're not, and that is it.
