Hey everyone welcome back to my channel today, I'm going to be putting in my hair extensions, and I thought it would be fun to show you guys how I do that so to prepare for putting them into. I washed my hair yesterday and with the conditioner you want to make sure you either put in the ends of your hair, so that the roots where you're going to be putting the tape extensions is slippery and it's basically just a clean surface to clip the hair Off so yesterday, I returned to my hair gray just to make sure that it's nice and fresh for my extensions and I also chose the extensions to match so for those of you that don't know the price. I news is this creative image ad or 150 Plateau? This is it here I purchased. This from price attack is about 1820. Ls1 model does pretty much my whole hair, and if you want to keep it this color, you need to redo it every second or third blush, and I also use the whole bottle on the extensions. So the extensions I will be using today are these ones here. Medusa and Eric's friendship you can purchase them online and I'll leave a link below, and I just can't cope anybody that wants to purchase some of these. I have three packs of 20 in each so 60 in total, which is for a nice thick, full head of hair extensions. If you guys are interested in seeing how I find my hair extensions, then just keep on watching. So this is what the taupe looks like close-up. First, you just want to start by sectioning your hair, and you want to make sure you don't do it too close to the bottom of your hair, so that, when you put your hair up to the extensions are not shown to begin applying the tape. What you need to do is take the little sticker off by one tear and remove that little sticker. Underneath is like a double-sided piece of sticky tape, and then you just stick that to your hair. This first part was kind of in line with the middle of my ear. If that makes any sense flick it up. You want to make sure that all the heads are attached to the sticky part if they're not remove them and then just stick the other piece of tape on top of the last one. Then I just let it go and clamp it three times with the straight now. You don't need to do this. I just find it helps keep them in place for that little bit longer, then I'm going to do my second part. You want to try to make sure they're, as straight as you can possibly get. It is a little bit difficult when you're doing yourself. This part was almost in line with the top of my ear and just repeat the same process. So I'm going to do the hair straightener again once they're all put in place. The next part I'm going to do is just section from just above my ear, just going to put my hair up and begin placing those extensions on again. You just want to make sure you don't go too close to the edges of your hair so that when your hair is tied up, none of the extensions are shown. So I have one mirror set up in front of me and one on an angle. Just behind me so that I could see so when I'm doing the left side of my hair, I'm facing it severe it in front of me that you can see that and then, when I did the right side of my hair a lot of the time. I turn around to face the other mirror and I can see the back of my hair in the circle mirror. So I'm just going to do my next pot now that one's a little bit higher again excuse my really shocking regress, but I'm trying to get my hair healthy again and try not to bleach it or anything like that. So you just want to keep repeating the same process all the way till you get near the top of your hair, there's no right or wrong way to insert your extensions. I find that this way works the best. For me, there might be another way that works for you guys, but this is just how I like to do my hair. I also like to put them really close to where I part my hair, when I wear out just because I have such short hair. Naturally, I find that it blends a little bit better for me. Obviously, if you have a little bit longer hair, you don't need to go as high up as I do, but this is just how I like to do it to make it blend a little bit. Nicer for my hair, then I just have a little look in the mirror and check where I think I need to have any extra thickness. I'M just going to take this razor coil, so one end has a razor on it. The other end has a comb and I'm just going to begin grabbing panels of hair and sliding the comb down the hair just to layer it a little bit. So it's it's a lot nicer. It'S also really important to remember that, once you've applied your hair extensions, you don't want to wash them for 48 hours. So this is how my hair looks when I finished applying the extensions they feel amazing. I kind of explain to you guys how beautiful this hair feels I'll just show you guys what looks like in a ponytail as well, so that you can see that you can't see any other pieces in my hair. Thank you guys so much for watching my video. I hope it was helpful and if you guys have any questions at all about hair extensions or anything else, leave them in the comments below don't forget to give me a big thumbs up and subscribe to my channel and yeah. I will see you guys in my next video

Kirstie Roche: Hey everyone, I have re filmed this video if you check it out on my channel, a more updated version. This was back when I was super new to YouTube xx

Bethany Balady: FINALLY. One person who shows us what their hair looks like up in a pony!

EvieOhNooo!: I used to do hair, and i've done extensions on myself since beauty school. You did such a great job! I personally use the same method of application. I'm so glad I found your channel, have a wonderful day! <3

Mindy Gregersen: I'm DONE with clip ins and was shopping wefts to make my own halo when I saw this. It has given me the confidence to try the tape ins! Great job. :-)

Kate's Ordinary Life: Oh girl, So much respect for you.! Doing your own tape ins yourself.! One day I’ll reach that level of perfection watched your other video to learn how to remove tape ins and Yay.!! I did it. Thank you Love for such detailed videos. New addition to your youtube fam right here

Lpg 8: You did an amazing job, I hadn't thought about sticking the extension then flipping it to attach the second part, this seems much easier.  Thanks.

Nancy Rosales: omg, such a great video, you have just now encouraged me to do my own. please do a video on how to take off and reaply

Jewel Nickerson: You have made this look far less complicated than any other vid I've seen. I love your method. I'm actually not afraid to try tape in extensions now. Thank you.

Cathryn White: I love you and your channel! i have been wearing tape in hair for years. I actually find this video more helpful than your updated one! This one has a little more detail needed for DIY install! I have always had a friend help me with mine but I am trying it all on my own this week! Thank you for all help:)

Roxy Thomas: My husband does mine he’s a full blokey bloke and I’m a hair dresser. I could not do this myself seriously. You do very well doing this yourself it’s crazy tbh

missybeebee: Love how straight your sections are :)

Samantha Wellbrock: Awesome video. Thank you!!! I have never seen anyone apply the top extension first. I will try that next time. It seems easier to keep them straight. I'd also love to see a removal and reapplying video. I struggle with that, usually end up ripping my hair out. : /

Maggie Guzman: Hi Kirstie, great video, thank you for posting! I have a quick question-- I'm not a hair stylist, I even have trouble blow-drying my own hair sometimes, but, I love the look of the tape-in hair extensions! My question is whether you think it is doable for someone with little to no hair styling experience to put these in themselves, or is that more likely to just be a huge mess? Also, I would probably be using different tape in hair extensions-- does that make a huge difference? Any insight/suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Kelly S: Wow that was great! Good blend! Looked wicked in a pony tail! Im so getting tape extensions!!!!

Kitty Neale: You do this so well and flawlessly that I want to get extensions now! Your beautiful too btw

MissCA Smith: I've just ordered tape extensions and yours look amazing!! How many pieces do you use? X

Oh_ Hello: That actually looks really good!! Finally! A video making it easy. Where can i find the comb?

Laura Quesnel: Woooo love this. Just ordered mine, first time doing them

Just your average Nerd: I’m a licensed cosmo & Ive done my own tape ins many of times but they always end up a little out of wack on the back. I’ve been hunting for an application process that simple and this is an amazing method.

Dante Velasquez: that looks great. nice brick lay install and thickness! If you want to grow your hair out without chemicals you should consider mixing some jet black (also by adore) with the platinum to make a slightly darker gray for a shadow root. Mix up the color, apply to the regrowth and then smudge it down unevenly with your fingers or a tint brush into the the gray parts. It will look fabulous :-)

Elizabeth J: I love this! My favorite how to tape ins video I have found!!

K. S.: great video! How long does the process usually take you?

Yadi C: Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.

Lucy-Ann Ramsay: You do pretty well applying these yourself!

Vanessaxo 24: Your hair came out really nice. Thank you for sharing!

Cath Chen: You're so good! Love it!

liselle sloan: I wish you could do an updated video with it slower for the top part of your hair. How did you get it so natural-looking? I just put some tape ins in on my sides after watching your tutorial, but am afraid to do it on top. Btw, I love your tutorials and style, and your accent! Thank you for not talking like a teenager, which I find most You Tube makeup gurus do if they are under thirty! Also, you don't speak rapidly, which is another plus.

Ann Flowers: This was extremely helpful, yours look really nice btw

shashann4 nn: Thanks for the video!!! what color is the extensions prior to dye them?

Jocelyn Larin: This is actually a lot harder than it looks, I just installed mine last night and boyyyy they were a struggle but im sure when I re do them in 6-8 weeks ill do better.. BUt good job girl u killed it

Melanie Noe: Love Love Love this video and I'm in love with that color, it looks sooo good on youHugs from Tennessee

Miss Mizer: The way you apply them is brilliant and honestly will save me so much time and hassle when I apply my own!

Amanda Rae: nice, I was thinking about getting tape in extensions for the first time. Always went with clip in's but the bumps annoyed me. I think your video just convinced me.

Amy Drake: This is awesome! How did you learn to do this?

_teafox: How long have you had these in? Are they still as lovely as when you first got them? I'm so paranoid after purchasing from what was supposed to be a good brand and they ended up horrible quality after washing them. <3

Stef @MRGNYC: Well done. The ponytail view was so helpful for me. I was worried about that. Thank you.

Lucy Abbott: Omg thank you so much for posting this video, i buying my extensions in amazon. Watch so many tutorials but no explain good but your tutorial was awesome I put myself my extensions and look amazing thank you

Kirstie Roche: I literally hate watching this video back the start drives me nuts lmao ! Oh well we live and learn hahaha

Michelle Shannie: Kirstie, now you have darker hair, do you think you could do a updated video on how to apply tape ins? I’ve got very dark brown hair and I find it soooo hard to see anything when I’m applying dark extensions to DARK hair! It’s really a nightmare. I had my mom do it the last time, but she hates it, haha.

Nadia Wright: i really like this video & her technique. she makes it look so simple to do at home by yourself!

TA L.: Great video!!! Going to DIY mine too. Thanks for sharing ! XO from Canada

Lori Michrina: Just wondering how long you've worn tape in extensions. Have you experienced any damage?  Do you ever go for any length of time without them?  I've worn them for 3 years, and my stylist is recommending I take a break from them.  He's not seeing any damage, but believes they may be stressing my hair after 3 years.  I REALLY hate the idea of being without them!  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Beautybyellenagrace: Wow most helpful one I've found! Thank you so much xx

Aly Gage: This was so helpful! Thanks girl!

Nicola Wood: I have never put hair extensions in before and I was so unsure how to do so when I brought my tape in ones and watching this video has really help so thank u very much. U are absolutely right when they are in they feel amazing.

Stephanie Jazzy: dang you actually did a realllllly good job for doing it yourself. that is impossible for me to do. my sister does mine. good job

Kat Smith: Do you have a video of your makeup? It's amazing!!

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Can tape extensions easily cause hairloss even when I have only used it once and gently tore them off my hair instead of extensions remover?

Moh Nazarzoda: Thank you so much! Watch so many before your video. Non of them was helpful! But yours is what I was need ❤️

Leticia Nascimento: I wonder if the heat is on and how high it is. BTW this is by far the best tutorial

Manar Rizk: I just did these myself as well and I have a question. I didn’t put them that high up and there’s a decent amount of hair covering the top ones but if I move my hair a certain way or it’s windy you can def see the very top ones. What do you suggest I do?

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Can SugarBearHair Vitamins still fix my hair least after almost eight months even when I have only once tried tape extensions and gently tore them off my hair insted of extensions remover?

Tracey Kelly: Hi Kirstie which color extensions did you originally buy before you coloured them xx

MaketheMusicFasion: So with tape in extensions can I wash them with the shampoo and conditioner I normally use? I got my hair cut short and it's very unflattering so I want to order some extensions but I am using Bosley Shampoo and Nioxin Conditioner to help speed up my hair growth and I was wondering if that shampoo and conditioner will hurt the extensions. Thanks! Your hair looks so good and natural even with the extensions! ❤️

Bea Render: would you recommend these types of extension for thinning hair on the crown of you head to help conceal thinning hair xxx
