Effortless Waves Tutorial For Long Hair & Tape In Extensions

Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today I am doing my new hair. I know I got it a month ago, if you guys don't follow me on snapchat and surround make sure you do, but I did get some more type extensions around a month and a half ago and I just got my hair ratone and it got them reattached. Yesterday, so I thought I'd show you guys what Smart's have extensions are how taping extensions look, how they feel and how I style them. So let's go ahead and get into this video. If you guys know, I had super dark hair and I just wanted a change. I really wanted to lighten them. Add some life in them. You know summer is coming. So that's what I decided to do. I have 22 inch tape and extensions, I'm holding that in that way, because it's impossible to get it in this short, but they basically let me try and get up they reach right here now before I go into, I had a few questions on my snapshots want To cover that, but before I go into the cos and everything, this is what a tape and extension looks like it's a very it's a very thin tape. They just like it's kind of like a safe glue for your hair and put it in there. I love tie pins because you can hardly feel them on your hair, like they're the most comfortable, and you can really use your tape pins, which is why I love them. You can reuse this hair up to, I think three or four times now. These are the hair shop extensions number 479. I know I was asked about that. So definitely I will link them below. It'S called our smart tap system, really really nice and really comfortable. I am enjoying it. I'Ve never had hair extensions and I really love it. Hair extensions itself, I got from hair shop, they range from three hundred to six hundred dollars or even more, depending on what length you want and that application cost it would be around four hundred five hundred dollars and then, when you go to reput it in it Would be around two hundred dollars or plus depending on your hair style again, so those were the cost of the hair extensions and now let's go ahead and jump into the front part. I usually what I like to do is I've washed. My hair and yesterday did get it dried there, but I haven't had it straightened so to blend in just the top pieces. I liked it if you guys can see. This is my short hair by the way, if you guys don't know my hair length. This is my hair lend. So basically I just want to blend these pieces and how I do that first is a flat ironing, so I use the foxy bit. I love it because it's so sleek can you guys see it actually just closes like that. I I don't like to do a lot, but today just for demonstration, I know most people do use 400 or 350, so I'm gon na keep it at 400. It does go up to. Let'S see it goes up to. Yes, as I thought 450 degrees Fahrenheit, so, firstly, just combing them out. You guys can see. This is around where my hair ends and you can just see that slight Bend, which I don't like. So I'm just gon na actually run this over okay heats up pretty quickly. I love it. It gives like uniform it's like uniform heat. What I've noticed with this, but aren't is because it's so slim and it has such a long blade if you guys can see the blade is pretty long. So it's really great if you have, if you're in, like a hurry. That'S why I have been loving this one because it just kind of smooth ins everything out and it's long, so it does it really quickly if you guys can see when that bender goes away, it actually just looks like and by the peace up there. So for my centerpieces right here, what I'll do is? Firstly, I will just straighten them a link down what it's towards my face. I don't know why I feel like that gives a little volume when you do this, so I like that, just that slight bump. Here, that's why straightening in like this, I feel like it just gives a slight bump and we're gon na do the same thing on this side, I'm just going to blend my extensions and with long hair I feel like with short hair. I felt like I had to take partitions when I was straightening with long hair. It'S not like that. I feel like I just need to make sure that they blended from top. You can't see my short bottom hair okay, so this is a flatiron it matches to the gold. Sometimes I'll just leave it like this, because I do Flatiron it does blend in the extensions and I'll just go, but most of the times you guys know I have waves in my hair. I used to use the thirty two millimeter for shorter hair for like loose waves, but I feel like 25 millimeters is perfect and if you guys love a rose, gold and black, you will love this. So I'm just gon na switch this on and I'm also gon na have it around 400. This one does go up to 430 and I'll. Have it around 400, which I feel like is enough and we're gon na. Let that heat up doesn't take a long while and then I'm just gon na partition. My hair - I do usually start from here. That is around the tail of my eyebrows, and I will just pick up the front hair separate a one-in section like this. I'M going to take my short hair long if they come and we're just gon na go ahead and place the probably one behind the hair. So if you want to lose effortless curls, I liked their direction to go outwards. That means away from the face I'll place. The curl a curling one behind the hair, if you like in cold, if you like to Hollywood, the classic curls, then you put the ear curly one in front of hair and you cool in words and then curly ones are so simple. You just go ahead and wrap the hair, that's what I will do. I will just wrap it like that and then you hold it and then we're just gon na leave it, and it looks like that. So I usually because I like effortless waves, so I will just pull it a little bit you don't have to. If you like, tidal cold, I just like to pull it a little bit. So it's a little bit more effortless and then I want to show you guys a zoomed in so I basically placed at the wand behind and then I simply just curl it. It'S really simple. With the curling wand, it is easier than a curling iron, and then I just hold this last piece out that gives the effortless look. So we just got to hold it around 20 to 30 seconds, just gon na drop it like that, pull a little bit all right, I'm gon na zoom, you guys out, and I'm gon na quit forward this I'm going to do this for all my hair. Again, I will explain when I move to the top section too, but I'm gon na do this all over my hair. Let'S go ahead in as fast for it. That'S work all right, so we're gon na do the same thing for the front piece and what we're going to do is again we're going to take a section and at the top sections I generally tend to take a largest sections, because I want the top ones To look more effortless definitely so I will just take like around it's still one one and a quarter inch one and a half inch and I'll just go ahead and again clip this towards the back, and I will start doing it if you guys notice in the Bottom sections: I didn't start all the way from the top in in the front section, I'm starting all the way from the top, so that the top also has like that. Effortless outward, you know kind of direction. I know you can't see my face, but I'm talking. I'M talking and we're just gon na let go of this and well again, if you want some effortless looks just so. Where are the front piece of the hair, and what I do is this is where I need to blend the most I'm just gon na comb. It first of all, and have it all flat in my hand like this. This is the one place where I do go flat like have the thing flat in my hair, like this, have the hair flat in my hand, sorry kind of got tongue to sit there, but again, I'm just gon na put it to the back, and I am Gon na make sure that that kind of you know if you guys can see that outward coal is formed on the front, and then I just do it normally and the thing different I do with this is I keep it only for a few seconds, like maybe Half of what I keep everything else just so it is a slightly less I mean slightly more effortless than the rest of the hair. Oh after these, there are a little bit too perfect. I love to have them a little bit more chilled out kind of waves. So what I'm gon na do is first, I'm gon na go ahead with this eye makeup on done, texture spray. I love this and I'm just gon na go ahead and spray it over my hair and then I like to open my hair. So once that's in, I love this because it's not too crunchy, I'm just gon na go ahead and I'm going to comb them out. You definitely don't need to do this if you like the defined way, so these would be at the you know, the ones that are more defined, which your great for, like an event or something. These are just more lived-in texture waves, like they look and we're just gon na comb this side to toe this is the finished. Look if you guys could definitely, as I said, go for effortless go for more defined using this method, but I absolutely love it. These are all outward cool, that's why they all have the same direction. I'D love these kind of waves like that, and it just helps blend everything.
