Everyone welcome back to another video, so today I'm going to be doing a video all about taping that hair extensions, so I'm covering all bases pretty much how to prep your hair for tapes, how to look after them and how I install them. I'M hoping this video won't be too long, because I do want to get a lot of info into this video, but I want to kind of condense it, but, as you can see, I do already have my tapings in my hair and my hair is very long And luscious and soft, and I'm just loving, being able to wake up with long hair. So this is actually, I think, the second time that I've had Zala taken extensions. I'Ve had multiple sets of their clip ins. I do actually still have my last set of tape and extensions. I'Ve got them in like a ziplock bag, because they're still in such great condition, it's just the color doesn't match me anymore. These are such incredible quality hair extensions. I can definitely vouch for that. I have personally bought hair extensions from them myself multiple times and my last set of tapes for purchase with my own money. I'Ve mentioned this before in videos, but a dream of mine is to have my own hair extension line. I don't know I just have very specific preferences when it comes to any kind of hair extension feel like I know, a good set from a bad set and Zala is probably one of the best, if not the best hair extension brand that I've come across. So I do also have a coat for you guys if you want to purchase some extensions for yourself, so the code is that love Emily, which will save you some money on your order. I'Ve also got links and the code written down below as well. I also have all information about my specific hair extensions, the color, the tapes and things like that that is all down below. I always seem to ramble in my intro, so I want to jump into the video, but if you have not subscribed I'd appreciate it so much if you could click that little button down below and also if you do end up learning something in today's video. Please go ahead and give this video a thumbs up for me. I'D really appreciate it. That'Ll being said, let's finally get into the video ok, so we're first going to start off with how to correctly prep the hair for tapes. This is probably the most important thing if your hair has any residue any leftover conditioners or oils, or anything like that. The tapes are not going to adhere to the hair correctly or properly, and they are just going to either slip out or the tapes just won't. Last as long so, what I recommend you do, what I personally do is I wash my hair true two three times so I typically do it. One baby shampoo and then two of my regular L'Oreal shampoo, washing your hair, multiple times just kind of ensures that there's nothing in your hair, no buildup, no grease, no oils. So, as I said, it is really important not to have any residue in your hair. So when it comes to prepping, your hair for tapes do not condition your hair. If you have really unruly hair, then I recommend just doing the very ends, but I'd say to be safe. Just maybe skip it this time, just because obviously conditioner does leave some kind of residue in your hair and if there is any media roots which, whether you had taping extensions or not, you shouldn't be putting conditioner anywhere near your roots. If you do happen to have any conditioner and you have, the tapes obviously aren't going to stick or they will stick just not last as long, I have always prepped my hair, like this. I'Ve never lost any tapes. Actually, no once one time I lost one tape and I've had, I think three, no four sets of taping extensions in my life, so I can guarantee that this does work, and this is what I personally do so yeah. I can't stress that enough, wash your hair multiple times, I have quite oily hair, so two to three times is good. That'S how I wash my hair normally anyway, because I only wash it like once a week twice a week, maybe and also once you're out of the shower, don't use any leave-in treatments, any oils or anything like that. It'S just best to not have any product in your hair at all, so I definitely recommend letting your hair air dry and then going over with a straightener. It'S just to make the hair a little bit more manageable, a little bit softer it's easier to section off. So yeah, that's just what I do anyway. Okay, so now we're going to go on to how to apply the hair extensions. So, as you can see, I typically always wear a middle part and have straight hair. This is like my go-to hairstyle, pretty much just straight down the middle half on each side. So that's how I apply my tapes, so in my set I got 60 pieces of tape and extensions, so I have that amount into 30 and 30. Obviously, if you part slightly off-center or very off-center, then the amount on each side may differ and when I am applying the tapes to my hair, that's how I section my hair. So, as you can see, I've got half of my hair clipped up and then the other half is where I'm going to applying the extensions. I find that this is the easiest way for me to do it. So I start applying the tapes close to the nape of my neck and then working my way up my head. Sorry, because I never wear my hair tied up, it's not too much of an issue for me if the tapes are close to my hairline. Obviously, if you are someone who wears your hair up a lot, then that will kind of affect the placement of the tapes. You don't want to put them too close to your hairline, but obviously, if the tape and extensions match your hair, it's not going to be super noticeable. But it's just something to keep in mind. If you are new to applying tape and extensions, I do recommend that you get like a friend or family member to apply the back extensions. You know just because you can't really see what you're doing you can also take your tape and extensions to a hairdresser and they can apply them for you, but it does usually cost you money. So, if you're in a bit of a budget, hopefully these tips and tricks will help you out. So when I do apply it, my tapes, I usually stick the tape underneath the section first and kind of stick, the section of hair to the bottom. Half of the extension, if that makes sense, and if there's any loose bits, I typically just pick them up and section them off. It might only be a few strands, but I feel like that. Just helps with the whole stickiness of each side. Thanks so much together. You feel me this is so hard to explain, hopefully with like their visuals, you guys can get what I'm talking about. It'S also really important that the section is not true thick. You want it thick enough that it's going to be able to hold the hair extension. If it's too thick, then the extension can't sandwich, together with the other side of the extension to kind of stick together, but if it's too thin it's gon na pull on your hair and be really really uncomfortable. It'S also really important not to apply the tapes too close to your skull, you'll kind of understand when you're applying the tapes like how close it should be once you're doing the action yourself, it's a little bit easier, okay and then, once all of these tapes have Been applied, I just cut a small amount off some of the extensions because I personally prefer more of a blunt cut rather than a tapered look. Obviously, it's perfectly fine to leave the extensions, but I did trim just a tiny bit off, so it was a little bit more blunt, personal preference, obviously, okay, so now our extensions are in its to move on to how to properly look after. So once your takes it in, it's really important not to wet your hair for at least 48 hours. I personally have accidentally washed my hair, like I'd, say: 24 28 hours after and the tapes didn't fall out. It'S just a precaution to take, so the tapes can really adhere to the hair and adhere true, like each side of you know that tape. Okay. So if you want a hair extensions to last a long time, this is also very important to use really good quality shampoos and conditioners. The hair itself will last a lot longer and also the tapes will not slip. They will not fall out when it comes to any moisturizing or oily kind of conditioning products, whether you have tape and extensions or not, you really do not need to use them anywhere near your scalp, so my rule is from your ears down even with extensions. Maybe a little bit lower from about here down, because you really don't want any conditioner near the tapes because it will kind of loosen the grip. I suppose - and I also do comb through my extensions at least two to three times a day, just so they're, nice and tangle free, and it keeps them really smooth and silky. I actually use the one from Zara, it's very compact, perfect for travel and it's super cute as well, and it just works so well. It doesn't tug or pull it the hair at all, and can we just admire my hair right now like this is amazing so yeah? That is the end of today's video. I hope that you will enjoyed it and it wasn't too boring and it was somewhat informative and hopefully you did learn something as well. I just really want to put all the info that I have and know about taping extensions in one video, because I think it's really important when it comes to having permanent extensions that you probably look after them and especially when you're spending your own money. You really want to get the most out of the product that you're purchasing with anything so yeah. As I said, I do have a discount code with Zala hair extensions. If you do want to purchase some and save yourself some money, great company, I absolutely love the quality of the products and also over there so yeah once again. Thank you all so much for watching. I really do appreciate it, and hopefully I will see all of you in my next video you

Thank you so much for this idea! Can't wait fyi try it!
