Hi guys, it's paul again, bringing you some more videos on her hair systems, wigs whatever we want to call them so on today's video, i'm going to be telling you the difference between tapes and glue foreign. So a lot of people ask me paul. Should i tape should i glue and get really hung up on this subject? What i will say is on both parts. It'S a personal preference. I recommend no matter what, after this video, try both and see how you get on. So i'm here now to tell you my personal experience on tapes versus glue. There are pros and cons for both tape and glue, so we'll go through quickly the pros and the columns. What i've done where i'm at now and where you might be when you've listened to this video, so there are two main adhesives for sticking a hair system down. You can either use tapes um or you can use a glue. The difference between the hold on the two is not too dissimilar. Okay, if i've had glue, i've had tapes, it's not like there's a massive difference, but there are subtle differences that i'll go through with you. Let'S talk about glue first, the pros with glue is that it lasts a lot longer than tapes. I would rec, i would say that approximately you would probably get about four weeks and to six weeks on your glue and and it would hold no problem, so that is a real positive. With the glue. The negative of the glue is the cleanup you're going to need some kind of um solvent. Like c22, i've heard a lot of people use rubbing alcohol. It takes a lot longer to clean a system with the glue. However, the way it sticks on i find that it works really well and, however, for the mess and everything like that, that is the con. I would say, with glue going on to tapes. Okay, there's lots of different tapes. You can get. There are so many tapes out there as there's only a few glues and i've been using ghost bond they're, all quite a few different glues tape, wise there's quite a lot of tapes. These are the two main tapes. I would stick to both walker tapes. Uh walker tape seem to just be the the predominantly the main people for the tapes and the chemicals that you might see. So you can either have it on a roll or what i like to do is the ultra hold minis, and these are really good for the fringe. I find the contour, like the curve of it works really well, and i find that, if you're doing the front of the area with your tape, it's quite hard to like peel it off. However, if you're applying full tape so like around there, you can easily. You know pull and stick around and it's quite an easy job to do so, going through the pros and the cons of the tape. The pros of the tape is that it's so easy to clean. Okay. So, unlike your glue, if you change your tapes regularly like uh once a week, they're really easy to clean um a bit of lace release, and so it's a less harsher chemical than you see, 22, and it will release the tape it will make. You know coming off a lot easier once you pull that tape off and it you know it's clean pretty much very rarely. Does it leave a bit of residue. Sometimes it wants a little bit of extra cleaning if you're wearing a lace, full lace, um system, then probably a tape is going to be a lot easier clean than a glue to clean off. So that's a really good positive. The negative side is the it doesn't. Last as long now on the packet here, it says up to four weeks hold time. I find that if you leave it any more than two, the tape really goes soft and tacky, and it becomes a nightmare to clean. Actually, so, if you leave it as long as the glue you'll find yourself, tidying it up as well as the glue, so you might as well have had glue. What i have found to be really positive is that during the last lockdown, when i was doing my hair myself, taking it on and off that the tape allowed you to uh, it was a bit more easy to take it on and off. You know if you didn't get it right, the first time you can pull it off, it doesn't quite set straight away. You can put it back on and i found that there was quite a few weekends where with the tape, because it's an easier job and you have to do it once a week, i would probably spend like a sunday with it off or the saturday night, and So if you're, someone that maybe likes to take your her system off um at some points in the week or at the weekend, probably go for the tapes, as you know, i'm quite an active person and testing out both and i'm still going towards the glue. The reason why i say this is because, when i was on my bike on the tapes every now and again when i would go over a jump and you get that kind of um feel the bits that weren't stuck on with the tapes. Because with the tape you know, you can't cover the full system, i would go around the perimeter and across the edge, but you could just feel that little sort of rise it didn't feel as secure as the glue i did find as well when i used tapes When i would peel the tape off, i would usually catch a few pieces of her with it, and so for me. I do prefer the glue, however, try the tapes and see how you get on like. I said there is no and right or wrong answer with these. This is just personal preference. So when we go to light sort, the system i wear, i tend to wear a full poly with a lace and front. So with me. I actually mix both glue and tapes i'll use glue on the poly. I find that really good for adhesive. I don't have any problems with it, lifting or anything like that. If i do have something like a lift on the side with glue, if you just get your hair dryer, just sort of like heat it up a bit, stick it back down. It tends to reset itself as well, whereas the tape, once it's kind of done, it's done, but i do have the lace front on on on this front of like the system that i'm wearing now, i know i haven't got my hair up, but i do tend To have it up, i will stick the tapes on the front so, as you can see here like the contour on that i'll, stick the tapes on the front, the tapes, i feel, give you a better hairline than glue. So that is something else to think of. If you don't wear your hair up, then i wouldn't bother with tapes at all. I would just stick to your glue, so it's all really personal preference, like i say the main pros with the glue is the longevity of it. It lasts a lot longer the cleanup's harder. The tape doesn't last as long, but the cleanup's a lot easier. So it depends on how much you take your system off if you're like me, that tends to go to the hairdressers for it anyway, if you go with glue, that's the problem, you know it's usually the same price, whether you've got glue or tape. So you know for me: um, you know the glue for me. I can stick it on. I cannot worry about it for four weeks. If i want, whereas the tape after at least a week, you're thinking, you know it's ready for replacing so there's the pros and the cons really and like i said the pros with the um tape. Is that also the the lace release that you use on your head is a lot less abrasive than the c22? I know quite a few people do suffer and with skin conditions with this i do have sensitive skin. Don'T really see an issue with it. I'M quite fine, i've been wearing her systems now for three years and my skin hasn't fallen off. So you know i mean as lot as bad as people say this is it's not affected me personally, i can't speak for you. Obviously i don't know what um your skin's like, so i can't really say that another thing as well as part as um part of applying like your glue. Sometimes you get kits. I got one on amazon, you get these little brushes, but i often find a lollipop stick really good for applying that. So that's one for you to think about as well. So video roundup, if you're after a really solid secure, feel i would recommend the glue if you um are not as active as me. Maybe and you know, because i did go to the gym and it was fine. It'S more like i, like. I said there's like if you do that with this, i don't feel any kind of up and down was with the tape i do so. Some people can get used to it. I wore it for like three. I did tapes for four weeks solid and, like obviously changing them every week and like i said, if i go through this lockdown, i might go back to tapes just because i find it easier to clean. So it's the whole. You know i mean if you want a strong hold. You know. Pain in the ass to clean is the glue if you're not so, bothered about the whole like the hold, and you want an easy clean up then go for the tapes like i said i would for what it's worth. I would try both there's no harm in trying. You know this stuff isn't expensive. I think the glue is about a tenner. The tapes are about a tenner for a pack, so you know it's you're, not really going to do any harm by trying one or the other, and, like i said it is the cleanup. That'S the problem with the glue. So if you're like not confident or you haven't, got the time to to clean up, then yeah maybe go for the tapes and so yeah like i said i hope you know. I know that's not like you and maybe he was hoping for a like. This is the thing you should wear, but i do think that you know i mean either or is the right answer? Don'T get too hung up on tapes or glue, try them both and you'll soon find the one that suits you. The best, like i said, the one i use is the glue and the tapes at the front most times, and that seems to work for me. Fine, i hope you've enjoyed this video guys. Jamie Kieran: Hey Paul, Loving this video! Question, do you think tape on the front hairline is realistic/undetectable enough if you wear your hair up/have an exposed hairline? I've tried glues for the first 3 months with no issues but my scalp is reacting to them now, whereas it doesn't react to the tape on the back and sides.

Mr Daniel Rowland: Hi Paul! Thank you for your review! I have a question: does not the glue start to drip down your forhead? I am struggleing that after a week during summer I find the glue come down my forhead and hairs stucking into it. Thx for your advice!

Lukas Horvath: hey Paul, I see you are a Man City fan. You are probably playing even football then. So my questions would be: If you play football(soccer) like 2-4x a week, is tape safe to use? If yes, then wouldn't be tape better for the hygiene of your skalp? I mean the sweat etc could be kinda smelly at some point even if you shower. Would it be safe to swim with a tape? As someone, who didn't even get the hair system yet, I am planning to go on vacation to the sea, where I would like to go into the water ofc.

Andy: There’s never a more depressing time as a wiggy owner than when you’re stood there for an hour cleaning glue off a wig with prawned up fingers and your baldy head out on display.

Les: Helpful video Paul. I was thinking a combo of the two for a poly system

Jake Owens: My main man PB, what's good brother! Thanks for another informative video Hope to be starting my journey in Marrch or early April, so this info helps! Hope you are doing well in 2021 man >‍

Steven Scummy: I'm probably going to get poly sides and back with a french lace system, I've heard that people have a problem with glue going through the french lace hairline but I haven't found any videos that show people cleaning it out in that manner. I'll probably tape the back and sides and use glue for the hairline

Crypto M: Can you please do a video review of using clip on systems?

Robin Chawla: Will i lose my side hair with glue or tape?

⚡FLASH⚡: Hey Paul I am a ginger also, 24 years old and can't find anything like what you have. Do you have a link where I can buy the same hair system as yours?!?! Thanks :)

Hushpowershotguns: Hi where did you get yours from ??

Mark Cutter: I ride motorcycles paul and I heard you saying you like motorcross , how do you find the hair system in the helmet any issues bud ?

I shoot aliens: Hey Paul where you gone ?, missing your vids

Jake Owens: Hey brother u still doing hair systems?

LaVivid Hair System: Nice Video!
