What'S going on og baddies welcome back to another video thanks for dropping by and seeing what's going on at curlin's place today we are doing a diy. Do it yourself with um tapes? So, as you can see, i've already did the back because girl i ain't gon na hold y'all up. This is um. This is a little difficult doing it yourself, just because you have to line up the tapes and when you're doing it yourself, you can't see them. So and i'm not good at using a mirror in the back so before we go any further, don't forget to hit that like button and subscribe. Like i already have the whole back done so yeah, i went ahead and did that off of camera, and i am using today i'm using um raw luxury hair by lauren, and these are um tapes. They come 20 in a bundle. I mean 40 in a bundle. I'M sorry 40 in a bundle, so a bundle would be two of these and um. One of these is 20 tapes. So you'll get two of these in a bundle, and i got two bundles of 18 and 16. I think yeah 18 and 16 yeah. I didn't want it real long, because i wanted to see girl what was going on first, i have had tapes before, but the hair that i used previously was not that great, so i ended up taking them out. I did like them, but, like i said it was the hair that um was not that great. So i looked around for some more hair and i found this so we are going to go ahead and finish up and i am going to demonstrate yeah. I struggle with this doing it um myself. I'Ve had this hair for, like probably about three months well before christmas, and i am just now doing my hair, because i kept trying to find somebody to help me and of course everybody wants their hair done and nobody wants to help me do mine, so yeah Um i couldn't find nobody. I straighten this little piece right here just to see how well it straight, because this is supposed to be body wave hair and i swear it - looks like a deep wave so, but it does straighten out what i'm going to do. Probably is um spray, it down, wet it down a little bit, put some foam in it, blow dry it and then curl it. So we are gon na go ahead and get started over here on this side. So i'm just gon na find something to hold this hair in the back out of the way i like the way the tapes lay. I think it's going to look good, we're going to see so we're going to go ahead and start on this side over here. So what i do is i'll part out a section of my hair: let's make it just a little bit thicker and then what you're gon na do with the tapes is. Where is my clip? Okay, i need a clip. Ladies. So after i have my hair parted out, then i'm gon na take find one little piece like so and y'all i'm filming on my phone, like i, for the life of me, cannot figure out how to work this camera like every time i try the food with This camera, it's like really dark, um, like i'm in the beauty shop and it's like afternoon, like noon. It'S about noon right now and like there's a light all around, but when i had my camera set up, it just looked so dark so yeah i just um. After i flew with that for about 20 minutes, i was like no i'm over this because in a minute this video ain't going to get filmed. So i just went ahead and switched to my phone, so i can um figure out what is going on. Ah, i'm dropping stuff y'all, oh no, okay, so i'm using the 18 inch at the bottom on here. So basically, what you're doing is you're gon na take the tape and you're gon na put it right up underneath close to the scalp like so so that you have a hair, a little piece of hair, that's laying in between there and then you're gon na place. The other one right on top smush them together and then uh, oh my flat iron, has went out. Then i put heat on it for a few seconds and there you have it so i'll, probably show y'all another one and then just let y'all watch. While i finish um this side over here, hopefully it won't take me too much longer. It really didn't. Take me that long to do the back so yeah i just hold that on there for a few seconds. The last time i did it, i kind of styled. My hair as um i was going along, but this time i decided to put the tapes in and then um style, my hair afterwards plus. Yes, i y'all know that i have a relaxer, so i just relaxed my hair. It was so nappy, y'all couldn't even get the comb through it um, so i relaxed my hair and did a color, because your girl was gray around the edges and we can't be having that so so yeah. Hopefully this turns out really cute we're gon na see. I did like, like i said i did like the tapes when i did them in my hair previously so, and you want to leave like you, don't want to put like one on top of the other, you kind of want to stagger them so on this layer. I'M going to do two you see on the bottom layer. I only did one so here and i'm going to lay lay my hair on it and then y'all like. I said this gets a little challenging when you're doing it yourself, because sometimes i don't get it as close up to the root of my hair that i would like if i was doing someone else's, so we got here right there yeah, you don't want to take It all the way to the edge you want to make sure that there would be some hair to cover it. So what did i just do with my clip here? It is okay, so i only have. Let me see one two, three, four yeah. I only have limited amounts of the long, but i need the long at the bottom on the sides. So, of course, i put most of the long in the back until i most of the 18 inch i put at the bottom in the back and then the 16. When i got up about right here, i start putting 16, then i save the rest of the 18 to go at the bottoms on the sides and then the sixteens ago, on the top sis like now on the sides i'm getting ready to switch on this side. This is going to be oh. What, where is the piece of hair? I had okay there. It is and make sure that this is going to lay in there properly yeah. You want to get it up close to the scalp, if at all possible, and then you're gon na lay the other one directly over top of it like so where your hair is sandwiched in between then put the heat on there for about five seconds and be Careful because it's hot damn it burnt me and you want to make sure you're parting off enough hair in between to cover. So i want to now i'm going to switch to my 16, which i have over here. These are my 16 and these are my 18.. So you see, i told you this now the 16, the 18. It looks like um body wave, but this 16. It looks like a deep wave, so hopefully um we're not gon na, have any trouble getting it to straighten out good. Like i said, i'm gon na blow dry it and then i'm gon na put some foam in it blow dry it out before i um style it so we're gon na go in with a 16 right here. Oh sticking to my hand y'all. So i want a 16 right here. Oh, this is what i mean when i say when you're doing it yourself, you see, i have that on there, then i'm gon na lift it up and make sure that this is the tricky part lining up that top piece. I think i did that one crooked, i'm pretty sure i did that one crooked. Is it oh yeah? It'S super crooked, like let me take this out yeah that one was super crooked. There we go yeah. This is not easy doing them yourself, lining them up and um okay. So let me peel off another. I can't get it peeled off yeah these nails that need to be done. I was supposed to do that today and woke up and had some um repair men that were gon na, be in the house doing some work today, so i had to be up early. So since i was up, i was like you know what my hair is a mess. I have to have a relaxer and colors, so i might as well just do my tapes that i've been having sitting around here for the last three months put the top one on a little work y'all. This is the tricky part i'm telling you this is! Oh, this is not easy and if you do it yourself nine times out of ten, i am a hair stylist and still some of these are probably gon na, be crooked. But oh well, let's go to the next and put two more over here and then i feel like we're done with that side over there ow. So let's put two more 16 here and then we have the hair to cover. So let me cut open. This is my second, so i've used one bundle which is 20 tapes, so actually 10 tapes, because, as you can see, you need a top and a bottom. So a bundle of 20 makes 10 tapes and a whole bundle. You get 40, which is actually 20.. So, let's take two more and make sure that we have enough for the longer side, the heavier side. Rather so after i get this side over here, then i'm gon na just let y'all watch me do the other side, and then we will get to stalin says i'm already made up today, as you guys can see sporting one of rihanna's, um onesies, and i will Show y'all what this one is really really big on me. It looks like a sat. I ain't gon na hold you up, but it's super comfortable and it's cute, but um it is kind of shapeless. Basically, so i forgot to turn on my do not disturb and my phone just rang that it always happens every time i try to film on my phone. The phone rings. Okay, so we are at the top, and oh also, you want to make sure that the hair, the piece of hair that you're putting in between your tape is not real thick. You don't want it to be real thick. It needs to be thin, so a thin piece like so and set your hair right in the middle of the tape up against the scalp and then take your other tape and line it up right on top of the other one. So that your hair is that thin piece of hair is sandwiched in between then you're gon na hold the heat on there for three to five seconds to seal it, and these are really easy to get out. I know y'all, probably thinking, oh my god, how yeah, with a little i use to get them out. I would take mineral oil and alcohol and mix it in a bottle, and then i just put in like a little bottle with either a spray or a little pointed tip and you're. Just gon na put that all across the tape and let it sit for a few minutes and it slides right off so very easy to get off when i did mine like i've done well for my clients, i've put them in and removed them very easily. Now, when i had mine in with the hair, that um was not that great that i ended up taking out um, because when i had put them in like a lot of them were crooked, they wasn't lined up um one tape. On top of the other um. I had a little bit of difficulty taking them out, it didn't pull my hair out or nothing, but, and it was simply because of how i had put them in so i'm trying to make sure that i am actually getting them lined up this time, because that Makes a difference in your removal just leave it on there for a few seconds, and now we're going to take this down, because that's the hair that will be covering that and i might have to bring a little bit over a little more over just make sure That that's covered see i'm going to blend all that in though so now we're on this side. I no more delay. No, you can't wait to shut it down. Won'T you show me how you working. I can't find no flaws. You perfect cause every time that you come around my way i keep falling falling. I keep falling again. Okay, guys we have our tapes all in. I used all 80 tapes, which is two bundles of 40, which is actually 40 because you like you, like, i showed you you have to use two tapes per um, each tape you put in so now. Let'S see child what we're about to do to this hair. So now i think i want to wet it down a little bit and blow dry it out and see what we come up with. You guys see what we come up with says. So i'm just using a water bottle, not getting it too wet in the roots. Don'T feel like it needs to be wet in the roots, oh guys also. I do have a particular kind of brush that i use with the tapes so that when you are brushing your hair, that you're not um pulling on the tapes and pulling them out so so that's my earring that keeps falling out. So so in just a little bit, so we are going to do a little leave-in and i'm using the mazani 25 miracle milk, and then i am also going to use some nairobi foam. I'M just gon na put that in my hand, okay, so we're gon na come through this without combing at the root, because i don't have my brush in here so my purse. I need to go, get it. I don't want it to be real flat up here. This is the problem i had with it last time like it was flat up in the top, and i didn't like it because i'm not used to it because i used to wearing a wig all the time. So now we are going to blow dry in just a second okay guys we are back. I had to go, get my um go get my loot brush. So this is what a loop brush looks like you see how the ends of them are looped. So i had to get my root brush and every time that you come across my mind, she's my new boo, i'm watching her like youtube. I wan na ride like choo choo y'all, okay, guys i went ahead and did one side off of a camera because girl i didn't know, i have to hold my hand, awkward ways and i just i didn't know what it was going to look like, but we're Going to go ahead and do this other side and see what we working with foreign. Okay, guys, we have a finished product and i think it came out pretty good. It feels good um, it looks blended. My hairline looks good it's blending, this top layer of hair and getting that to blend in good, so yeah.
