Hello hi welcome to my youtube channel. My name is karen prince. I know i've abandoned my youtube channel but i don't know: okay, i'm here to show you how i got these tape ends. Um, i've been all over the taping craze and i've been wanting to wear my hair straight for some time now. So i did order some typings off of amazon, i'm going to leave everything in the description box, so you can hit the link and go there and try the tape ins that i purchased. So so, if you're seeing this and you've been following me and you've been asking me on instagram and messaging me asking if i'm coming back to youtube, i'm back, i don't know how back i'm gon na be, but i'm here i'm posting this video. So hopefully you guys enjoy this. I know this is not like my normal braids and stuff like that, but i'm on a different journey, trying something new wanting to wear my hair straight more often, something that i used to do all the time. So my first attempt was to try tape in so so i don't want to ramble too much, but here is how i do my hair okay. So here are the tape ins that i bought. These are from amazon. The link will be in the description box um. So this is what it just looks like you know. Inside comes the hair, some clips uh some replacement tapes. Just in case some of your. You know tape tape in slip out. I haven't had that, but you know they're there and then also it comes with the instructions on the back. So i want to start off saying i did try and attempt to silk press my hair. My hair is not heat trained, but this is what my natural hair looks like before. I actually went for it with the tape ends, so you're going to want to peel the little blue thingy off. Okay, do that and then part and section off your hair as you see fit, you know place the tape ends where you want, and then i just placed it on my head right under the part they say: don't put it too close to your scalp. I'Ve watched a million tapings and i still was sometimes putting it too close to my scalp, but it's okay, we're learning. This is my experience. You know this is not a tutorial anyways. Then i sandwich it. Don'T press it hard at first, just kind of lay it on there and then once you see that it's lined up and then just smash it close heart with your fingers. So that's just kind of what i did throughout the whole time. That'S really what you're going to do. I didn't use any heat, but anyways. So now i need to make a smaller tape in so i'm going to just fold it in half, get it be as precise as you can precise, as you can then you're going to want to cut it, and i like to round off the edges, because you Don'T want that sharp edge poking you in your head, you're gon na do the same thing place the tape where you want it and lift it on up, make sure there's enough hair on the tape too or make sure there's the right amount. You don't want too much and you don't want too little. You want enough and then sorry for my arm, but you just sandwich it again make sure it's aligned and that's pretty much what i did throughout my whole head. So this is what the back is looking like at this point um. I have two packs in my head, both of the 16. So then i started to want to go ahead and move forward and put the 14 inches in my head. So that's what the density was looking like for two packs of 16., so this is basically how i put them in my head from the back. I would just lay them on like just keep aligning rows of tape ends. I don't know why i didn't lay it down the other way in the other direction facing down. I i really don't know, don't ask me this was easier for me. You can do it like how i did it with the first one that i showed where i just laid the tape in the other way. You know i was just doing what was best for me. So then, just like the others, you're just gon na move forward and sandwich it, and it's repetitive after that now how you want to lay your hair or how you want to lay these tape. Ins all depends on the density of your hair, and it also depends on how full or thick you want. The tape ends to be. You know that's all up to all up to you, but i did decide to go in with five packs at first. I had four, but i realized four packs was not enough, so i ordered an extra one to get the fullness that i want and yeah. So you guys can just continue to watch this video and i'm just gon na you know finish putting these tapings in the the um motion to do. This is very repetitive. You can do this if you've been seeing it and want to try some. You can definitely do this on your own. Just have some patience and take your time um. Another thing that i wanted to say: the hair is really soft, it's human hair. So it's not like you know the expensive tape ends, but this is just something that i wanted to try yeah. So if you're looking at this video - and you were wondering, if you should try tape hands, i say: try them go on amazon, buy human hair um a version of the tape ends and see. If you like, it first see how it feels in your head and stuff like that, and then i will say, invest in some more tape ins so so far. For me, with this experience, i'll just tell you some of my pros some of my cons. So the only con that i have with this actual hair, which is not to me really a con - is that a couple of my tapes opened. I know that some people use a um hot tool to seal the bond on the actual tape, but the instructions say not to do that for these particular taping. So i did not go go ahead and do that, but they have not spilled out my head or anything like that, but other than that i have no real grievances with the actual the hair. The hair is actually really nice um. It holds a curl very well. So that's really good for straight human hair. I love that um yeah. The only thing is that my hair is not heat trained. So of course, you're gon na see the separation in between um the hairs. My hair in the intro was actually five days later after i installed this and i hadn't re-curled it ever since, because i sleep with my hair in pink curls. However, i did go over my leave out at the top with the flat iron because it did revert. Okay, so after i finished adding all the tape ends, i went ahead and shaped my hair, even though the hair is in layers already. I actually had to go in and just clean up the shape just a little bit. I end up using 48 sandwiches. So that's two tapes per sandwich. You can't put your hair up. I didn't really have any interest in wearing my hair, like that, so i laid my tapes accordingly, but i was just checking to see what it looked like. This is what it looks like um after i added all the tapings in and before i curled it. This is my hair curled the same day of the install, and this is how i was looking. It looked all nice and pretty you know before i left and all that, but once i got outside like i said, my hair is not heat trained. It wanted to act crazy and boom. There you go there. You go acting crazy, so yeah. If your hair is not heat, trained, just be ready for your hair to be separating from the tape ends. Okay, other than that, this was my experience with the tape ends, i'm actually really enjoying them and, like i said, if you think that you want to try tape ends. This is your video to go ahead and try them. The link is in the description box. Thank you for watching my youtube video and i will see you guys later. Bye,
