Um, what happened to you, i didn't know something dribbled on me. No one can say like stuck it in hey everyone and welcome back to my channel and if you're new here hello, my name is emma rose and welcome to my channel. Why did i just put one hand up that looks so weird, okay, so guys. Today'S video is gon na, be a very special video because i'm gon na be talking about hair care, so everything that's got to do with. Well me looking after my hair, because i'm not gon na lie, i have had a very horrible experience with my hair. I'Ve had just a long journey with my hair, basically to get it as it is today. So obviously, my hair is not the healthiest. It still needs a lot of work, but i mean compared to before. Let'S just say, it just looks completely different as to how i had it before so i will be hiding my face in these pictures because i never thought in a million billion trillion years. I'Ll be putting this out in public just because i was taking these pictures as a motivation for myself to track my progress, but as i am putting out there, i just thought i'd cover my face. So that's exactly what i'm going to be doing throughout this video. You can see by the face, shape my mouth everything. It'S me guys so yeah, i'm just covering my face, because i never thought i'd share these pictures. So in today's video i'm going to show you how i went from my hair. Looking like this to this. So obviously it was a long process. It did take me a long time just to basically get it looking healthy. Obviously, it still needs a lot of work, but i mean i'm very happy with how it's time to look how it's time to feel my hair care. Routine has changed. I'Ve done a lot of research in the past two three years, and so i want to show you all my research and everything i did and how i ended up achieving my healthy ish, looking hair that i have right now. So my hair is basically now the same length as my hair extensions. My hair extensions are probably like two fingers longer than my actual hair. More than anything i just have like hair extensions, just you know, give me a bit more volume because my hair is still a bit damaged with the whole bleach plus. I just feel so much comfortable wearing hair extensions. I feel like it looks more full. So one thing: that's actually helped me a lot with my hair growth process has been having permanent hair extensions in i've. Spoken to my hairdresser before she'll always be really shocked. Whenever i'd go in like to get my extensions redone, because she'll always be confused as to how my hair is usually longer, whenever i'd go to see her, because she'll tell me that usually people with permanent hair extensions, their hair usually doesn't grow that much permanent hair Extensions usually tend to you know, break your hair because you've got like permanent clips like pulling a lot on your hair, and it's just really bad, but i mean i was so shocked when i heard that, because literally my whole experience with permanent hair extensions is that It'S actually helped my hair grow and i'm gon na tell you exactly why and how and what i've done. So i hope this video will be helpful to a few of you guys so step one. It'S usually good to occasionally separate the bonds in your hair. So basically i don't know if i could show you guys. So basically, you have one of these and then they'll usually end up getting wrapped around with your natural hair, and then it can end up becoming like a ball like, i would say, because you should get trapped with your own hair or get wrapped with another hair Extension, it's not good if they obviously get wrapped around together, because if they become a ball - and you haven't - you know, separated them, then you're gon na and then it hasn't happened to me. But i mean i can only imagine that you're gon na have to. Firstly, try to take out the extensions or, secondly, try cut it off. Basically, i don't know if you guys have known that in my videos i just have a weird obsession with just you know touching my hand like this all the time, because i don't know what is wrong with my hands. But i think that's how i know i don't have a ball in my head, just because i'm usually just brushing it through with my hands, but i mean you will feel it. That would be an important step, just making sure that the buns are all separated. A few times a month, but i only do it once or twice a month, okay guys. So when i wash my hair, i do have a special type of products. Obviously you have to change kind of your shampoos and everything when you do have hair extensions. Some shampoos will make the hair extensions like start slipping out. I'D also advise not to wash your hair as often i'd advise you to wash your hair around like max three times a week. I really try go for two times a week of washing my hair, because, if you're constantly washing your head and obviously constantly brushing it, just gon na make your extensions start falling out one by one by one. Until you see that you have half a head of no hair basically, so i do advise not to wash it as much also with my shampoos, it's really important to go for a sulfate free shampoo, so i got this from my local tk mac store because yeah, I just love the big words of sulfate free shampoo. I'Ve had it for so long now. It'S basically finished and it says for dry, color treated, damaged, hair, and i mean it has worked so well with me. I don't even know the name of the shampoo argan oil shampoo from morocco, okay, i did not know that until today, okay, i just saw the sulfate free, because it's very big and bold - and i mean that's what basically caught my attention, but literally you can use Any sulfate-free shampoo just because sulfate it strips out all the oils out of your hair and the moisture and that's what encourages your hair to frizz up or damage or breakage. So obviously always try go for a sulfate-free shampoo. So before i use a normal shampoo and i feel like the extensions were falling out like very often like every time, i'd have a shower. I'D have like two or three hair extensions falling out. When i switched to sulfate-free shampoo, it literally changed my life. Now i go three months with my hair extensions in before i need to top up and i'll only have one coming out with two or three like it's amazing, so i definitely recommend sulfate free shampoo because it really does help for my conditioner, obviously with hair extensions. Don'T ever try to get conditioner on your roots, it might make the hair extensions slip out. So i use the kerastase resistance conditioner, and this is it here. I'Ve also got the shampoo. It wasn't really going well with the extension. So, that's exactly why i got a sulfate free shampoo, but the conditioner still works very well for me and i've got it on level three to four and it's for very damaged over processed fine hair. It leaves it looking nice and silky afterwards. So, that's literally, why i'm obsessed with this conditioner. It'S done me good, so far, okay, guys so another tip would be to try putting a hair treatment as often as possible and as often as possible, but around like once a week. It'S really good, plus your extension hair and your hair. They obviously they don't really have the same texture if that makes sense like they do, but i mean your hair is obviously different to hair extension hair, even though it is real hair. At the end of the day, it's not your hair, it's basically someone else's hair, so um i usually like to put a lot of like hair treatments in it, so one i've been using and guys i have been loving, loving, loving, like literally it has changed. My whole hair game, it makes my hair really soft, which i have been loving. So that's thanks to l'oreal, elvis 4 resist power mask so this one here guys. I don't know what i can tell about this hair mask. It'S literally amazing, so i usually try to put this on once a week and all you do. Is you massage on roots for a simulating feeling, and then you work it down to your ends. You leave it on for five minutes and then you wash it off or you can even leave it on all night. Like the other day, i put this on for a good three hours and guys my hair felt so silky and beautiful. I was in love. So yes, this hair treatment is amazing. I'M in love with it, i'm obsessed so another tip when you're washing your hair, don't go for really hot water. If you do like showering in really hot water, it's really bad for the hair. So i do recommend maybe tying up the hair, while you wash your body with hot water and then try put the heat down to. I don't know like medium, like timid, water, cold water is honestly the best for your hair, even if you rinse it off with cold water just before coming out the shower. It is amazing, you're burning your hair, basically guys with hot water, basically kind of like using any heat tool, just try rinse it out with cold water. If you can, before you get out the shower for like a minute or two i mean it does help do wonders to your hair, so i do recommend that another tip when coming out of the shower would be try not to towel dry. You know when you like, put your hair down: you put the towel on, try not to do that. It will be pulling a lot on the extensions and your hair whilst your hair is wet. So obviously that can cause breakage to your hair. Plus your hair is wet, so you know it's at a vulnerable stage. It'S in a vulnerable moment of his life, guys like don't do that to it. So obviously, it's really prone to breaking when it's wet, so the best thing to do would be to grab a towel and just kind of like scrunch up your hair, the ends - and you know just towel dry it and that's it, but don't try. You know put it up because you're most likely to start breaking your hair, which is not good, and we all want to try it with that. So yes stay away from that. Okay guys! So now i'm going to be talking about how i dry my hair. So before i do start drying my hair, of course i use a serum. I use the moroccan oil blow dry, concentrate it's for very coarse, hair and guys. This is amazing. I'Ve literally had it for like i've, had it for a while. Actually, i've had it for five months and like look how much i've used up. No, i've had it since september like and look how much i've used up, and i use this every single time i get out of the shower before i dry my hair, you literally just need the tiniest amount ever and it goes a long way, which is exactly Why i have not, as you can tell it's not even halfway through, like it's an amazing investment guys? I really do love this and it does help my hair feel so smooth after i've dried it. So i usually apply this to my ends because it works wonders guys. It really does so. What i usually do is i'll do like a middle parting and i usually brush it and guys. I do not own any other brush apart from these type of brushes and, like i said before, your hair is very prone to breakage. So if you use a normal comb where your hair is tangled, you'll be pulling and literally breaking them. So this literally prevents that from happening, if you see because of all of these little bristles, so this stops hair breakage, you guys - and it's literally amazing, for when you're brushing your hair. I honestly feel like my hair growth has been because of these type of brushes. I mean they are amazing and it really does stop breakage. So i love you you're, my baby. I can't go anywhere without one of these. These are always in my bag. It'S a quick little fact plus, if you do have hair extensions, if you use a normal brush, it's just gon na get caught inside the the tips. So what this does is that it literally doesn't tug on any of the hair extensions at all. So look as i'm brushing right now. Oh my stuff was happened to me um, yes, sir, as i'm brushing right now, just for my roots and going down it's not doing any damage to the hair extension, it's not doing any damage to my hair, it's so soft! If you're, taking anything away from my video today, remember this brush guys, i can change my hair care routine. I can change everything. Just don't take away the brush from me guys and we're good and we're good and you're not messing with me all my hair and i'm just gon na stop talking about the brush now, but then a lifesaver to me, okay, guys so another tip for when you're Drying your hair never put it in the high heat setting because guys, that's literally like using a straightener or curling your hair. Whilst your hair is wet, you don't do those things literally like you, don't because your hair is wet, it's very vulnerable. I have always gone for the medium heat setting. Like oh wait. I can't do the low one because i just feel like it's not really. I just feel like takes too long to dry my hair, so i usually go for the second heat setting and then i'll. Just start blow drying my hair. Obviously, if you have extensions, you'll know that longer process to drying your hair, just because of where the little clips are feel like water gets like stuck inside the clips, if that makes sense, plus, obviously you've got so much more hair to dry. So it will take around 20 30 minutes 40 minutes max. It is quite a long time which is what's annoying. I feel, like my arm, has gotten stronger from you know, holding the blow dryer i usually have a shower before i go to sleep, because i find that whenever i wash my hair the day, i'm going to do something. My hair is very like humid. It just goes very puffy and even if i try straighten it, i'll still feel like water in between the clips. If you're like me that hates feeling like there's water or feeling like your hair's not dry properly, do it the night before and then the next day. It will literally feel amazing, okay, guys now everything you need to know about when you go to sleep with the hair extensions. I'Ve actually done a tutorial as to how i get like these slight curls in my hair. So what i usually do is i grab my bathrobe belt and i'll literally put that on my head and i'll start twisting my hair inside you know making curls and i'll usually go to sleep with my hair, like that. If i sound like i'm just rambling on, i don't understand what i'm trying to say. I'Ve actually done a tutorial on how i do this hairstyle and i'll be putting that video up here. So i usually do that hairstyle before i go to sleep. That way i wake up with like nice, curly, wavy hair, and that way i'm not using heat because guys we just all want to stay away from heat. That'S like the biggest tip. I can give you guys, because heat literally damages your hair so much it stops. It from growing it causes split ends. It breaks your hair and, if i ever do use heat on my hair, which is for a very, very big event and worth me burning, my hair it'll probably be around five times a year, max i'll straighten my hair or curl it. So i really try to stay away from it, so i do love this diy way of curling my hair. That way, i'm just not doing anything to it and it stays healthy. So it is really important to style your hair before going to sleep that way, it stops you from using heat the next day because your hair is already styled, so i honestly suggest either you know doing the curling technique before you go to sleep, which i always Do another way, which is probably the most common way of tying up your hair when you do have hair extensions just put on some oil. So, of course, in my case i would use moroccan oil so i'll just put a tiny bit and i'll just comb it through my hair and then i'll do a plait and that way, when i wake up in the morning, i can have nice. You know little waves in my hair honestly, what's helped me grow, my hair has literally been doing these hairstyles at night. My hair is just done that way. I just take it out in the morning and i'm all set to go another thing i do just so that i'm not damaging the rest of my hair is that when i get my hair dyed, i only dye my t-sections. So i stay away from my ends and the whole bottom half of my hair has not been touched. So, as you can see, all these brown parts here is my natural hair. I'M just trying to give my hair a break. It'S been dyed enough. I'Ve bleached it enough. I'M just trying to go, however long i can go without dyeing the rest of my hair. Obviously i want to go lighter in the future, but at the moment just saying my t-section has been helping. My hair grow so much, i'm not damaging it as much as before by bleaching all my hair, i'm just keeping it to this section up here and it has honestly improved my hair by ways you can't even imagine. I hope you enjoyed my hair journey and my hair tips just because i've been through so much with my hair. I thought i'd make this video because it has honestly been helping my hair grow and get so much healthier and obviously, in a few months time i wanted to probably do another vlog see how much healthier my hair has gone. Okay guys, so that's the end of my video. If you did enjoy this video, if you found it helpful in any way, please don't forget to comment like and subscribe, and i shall see you all in my next video bye, guys.
