Hey guys welcome back to another video today, I'm going to be showing you guys me getting tape ends installed for the first time ever and then I'm going to show you guys how I maintain them at home. The hair I have is from why wigs. I have three packs of their 18 inch. Silky straight tape ends. I was a little apprehensive about choosing the straight tape-ins, but it did work out and it turned out well, but next time I would get tapings that have just a little bit more texture. Maybe nothing too curly, but just something that has like a little Kink to it, because, even though I'm relaxed my hair, it does not get silky silky straight or as straight as the silky hair does. So it did like cause a little bit of issue when it came to blending, but it wasn't anything crazy. It'S not bad at all, and you see, the final result still looks good. I believe my hair stylist's information on the screen and then also so I'll, put the link to her Instagram in the description box. She did an amazing job of installing my tape, pens because, even when I went to wash my hair, none of them slipped out and they're still in to this day, it's been three almost three weeks, three or four weeks since I've had them installed and none of Them are going anywhere, so I would definitely recommend if you're in the Atlanta area checking her out for tape in here. You can see her installing them. Basically, it's super easy. I still would never do these tape. Pens on myself at all, but she's, basically sandwiching. My hair, in between a tape so basically she's going to take that section that she just put that tape in like once she gets to that part she's going to put another tape on top of it. It'S really easy like, if you think about it. So, basically, you just have two tapes and they're sandwiching your hair in between them, so that will be right. There she'll, like part that section and pull it down and then she'll apply a tape on top of what she did there. I know it sounds confusing, but if you watch you can definitely understand how it works. So she'll pull that section down and then put a tape connecting or sandwiching my hair in between two tapes. It was kind of hard to film and record um, but you guys get the gist of it, basically putting your hair together between the tapes and that's how it works. So here you can see her taking a section like this has already been taped at the bottom and you can see where my hair ends my real hair and she's just going to place this tape on top and sandwich everything together and that's why, like these are So convenient and nice is because, like a lot of your hair really won't be seen, the only amount of your hair that will be seen is just like the top section that's left out and then, if you want to do a ponytail, you know the back section. That'S left out, but everything in the middle. You really really won't see like that, and that's what makes this install just so great, because some all of your hair is left out, but most of it is covered. So what you're really seeing mainly is the extension part foreign. She would just go ahead and straighten everything out together. She would not put heat on the tape itself. You do not want to put heat on the tape. Should it take like this tool and just like squeeze it together, it's like a special tool that is used for tape ends, I'm sure you guys have already seen it where it will. Just you know combine everything together with the tapes, but you do not want to put heat directly on the tapes. Obviously, here is the completed install you can see where my hair ends and where the extensions start she's going to add some layers, which is going to help to make everything blend a little bit better plus I wanted them to be a little bit shorter. I feel like I should have gotten 16 inch bundles instead of 18 inch, and I would only suggest wearing your hair straight with tapings. If your hair looks all around like your real hair is at least shoulder length. I have not ever worn my tape ends in just a straight silky State. I'Ve always added curls, because my hair is uneven, so definitely suggest for everything to be shoulder length. If you want to wear your hair straight, so we added curls, obviously, and with the layers. I mean it just turned out beautifully. Look at my hair. Look at my hair. Look at my hair. Look at my hair! This is unreal. This is not real life. Look at my hair! She 100 did this like. Oh, my God, my head feels so nice and light. This does not feel heavy. This is your sign to get tape ins if you're worried about how it's gon na turn out, get the tape, and it's like okay. So this is two weeks later. A lot had happened, I've been so busy, so this was like the first time I was able to just sit down and take care of my hair. I really wanted to go back to my stylist for a maintenance appointment where she washed it and make sure all the tape ends were tight, but she was all booked up and I started a new job the next day. So I had no other choice but to do it myself and I figured you know if anybody else can do it, so can I so I just took my time and figured it out, so I know you're supposed to use the sulfate free shampoo when washing your Tapings, because using a shampoo with sulfates can loosen the tapes, but I did use a clarifying shampoo at first. I always do whenever I wash my real hair and I feel like that's the only thing that really gets. My hair and scalp super super clean I'll leave. The one that I use down in the description box, so I'm not sure if it's sulfate, free or not, I just took a chance like I really needed my hair clean I've been two whole weeks and then I did follow up after washing twice with the clarifying Shampoo with shea moisture, I think it's coconut oil shampoo that one is sulfate free and then I went in with the matching conditioner, and I only put that on the ends of my hair. You do not want to get conditioner on your tapes either, because that can also loosen them as well. I did not have any tapes fall out at all, because I've seen some girls when washing their tapings, where, if they've applied them themselves at home, like they'll, just slide right on out when they're washing their hair. But because I went to a professional and she did an amazing job installing them, I had no tapes fall out at all. So basically, this was just like washing blow drying and straightening my real hair. It really wasn't that much harder than just doing my real hair. So maintenance is super super easy. The heat protectant that I use is not really one that I would use on my real hair, but I'm in between Columbia and Atlanta right now, so I don't have all of my stuff. So I just use one that I usually use on just my hair extensions I'll leave the link, of course down in the description box. I just went around I blow dry, my hair, then now I'm going in with the hot comb and making sure, like all of the perimeter, is straightened out and then I'm going to follow up with straightening my entire head foreign foreign. So here you can see my hair is completely straight. I did go in and add a little wax to my roots at the top and then went through with the hot comb again, but this is exhibit a of why I cannot wear them in a straight style, because you can clearly see where my hair ends and Where the tape ends start so personally, I don't think I'll get tape, ends or micro links again until my hair grows out in the front, which will be like a few months. I might change my mind. I don't know because I absolutely did love these tapings, but I think it would be a lot more fun if I am able to wear it straight and you know different styles other than big curls. So this is the next day after I finish straightening my hair. Just put it in my Bonnet and went to bed, I was so tired, and here I am getting ready for work and I decided to do my curls first pin them up and then I put on my Bonnet while I finish getting ready and the curls are Super easy here I am just putting on some more heat, protectant and yeah by the way tape-ins micro links, anything that has all your hair out. If you're trying to grow your hair and you care about your hair, I would not really suggest them, because, in my my case personally, I've had to put a lot of heat on my hair. Like almost every day, I've been re-curling or something in this case like since these were fresher curls. I was able to come home at night and put them back in pins and sleep that way, so I wouldn't have to put as much heat on my hair. The next day, but you're gon na be putting a good amount of heat on your hair. So if you're scared of heat, you don't want heat damage, I would you know, know stay away from the tape ends unless you just know how to do like pan, curls or you're, okay with wearing rollers to bed. Things like that, I would stay away from the tape in, but if you're like me and you just really don't care one way or the other go for it definitely get the tape ends if you're, okay, with having to put heat on your hair multiple times a Week so yeah here, I am just curling. My hair super easy take about 20 minutes for me to complete my head. I didn't run out of clips, though so the ones in the back, I just let them loose and put them in my Bonnet to set that way. Foreign will be down in the description box and then, as you can see, I had my Bonnet on. While I got ready just to make sure they set well and held everything together and then I had to stick down all the clips and did a little hair flip just to make sure it was full of volume and bouncy foreign. So here I'm just doing the final touches, making sure everything looks good, brushing out the curls and then on one side you see the curls were a little bit loose. Those were the ones that I didn't have clips for, so I just went in and re-curled that section but yeah like overall, I would rate my tapings experience. 10 out of 10.. I haven't had any issues and this hair is amazing, definitely check out why wigs, if you want some tape ends as you can see, the hair holds a great curl. It straightens really well, and I think that the price is very reasonable for what you get so yeah. If you've been thinking about trying, tapings definitely start with white wigs, all the information will be down in the description box, along with all the products that I used in this video. I really hope you enjoyed if you did make sure to leave a like and a comment down below, and I will see you guys in my next video. Thank you.
