From since i've known i've had relaxer yeah, i think my mom started relaxing my hair when i was six yeah about six and i had relaxed after hours up until 2015.. I remember the exact date. He was um 20th of march 2015., wow yeah. That was the last time i had relaxer, so i ran to the salon, got my hair relaxed and i had like a ponytail style and stuff like that that had like extensions in it. You know because i actually started growing my natural hair out in 2014 yeah, but i didn't have the knowledge you understand. I didn't have the know how to grow it, so it was just there yeah, it was dry. I didn't know how to manage it. It was hard i couldn't do nothing to it. I said you know what let me just go retouch it. So then i grew my health for like a year already so yeah from 2014 to 2015.. So i, oh okay, so the ends were so relaxed. Yeah. The end was too relaxed. You know i was at my transition. I didn't just chop them big. Do the big chop? Okay long, it was long and then it started cutting over the years. But initially when i retouched my hair yeah yeah after years and years of um um, would i say you know it growing up. I had my natural hair most of the time yeah i carried just my natural hair, not wigs or not, i mean yeah. You had a relaxer yeah, i hadn't realized. You brought your hair, you know, i want my hair, yes, natural yeah, there's a lot of people, they relax their hair and you know plaited or painted yeah. But later i started to do braids and stuff like that, and then i got introduced into what we used to call weave on you know. It'S just tracks now sewing tracks and then with the leave out, and then i said to do that in uni, okay, yeah, but before i started this whole journey of braids and tracks have all of that. My hair was just left alone and relaxing my hair was long like upset. I would see here that was long hair to me, then back then, because it's a lot of hair done 16 inches compared to where my hair is now yeah. That was long familiar and everybody said oh yeah and then over the years after beating it up with weaving and all that stuff. My hair went all the way here, as in especially my leave out. My leave out went so short and the other part of my hair was here. It was scraggly and stuff like that, but eventually so fast forward 2015. I went to reset my hair. That was the last relaxer i had up until now, um 2015 20th of march, and then i relocated on the 20th of april exactly one month after and that's what i've been since then so from the first year to my fifth year of growing my hair, i Didn'T put any heat in it: okay, no! No drying! You mean when it was natural yeah from when i said growing out my natural hair, yeah yeah, so from 2015 up until 2020, no hate, no, nothing. I only like used to air dry, so i wash my hair and moisturize put it in twist. Let it air dry interest, then in 2020, when my hair hit five years, i did my first blow dry. What made you do that i just waited way: leg check. You'Ve been watching a lot of youtube exactly prior to then i've been stretching my hair out. You know just holding my hair to do my length checks because i did length checks from the third yeah yeah the third year yeah anniversary, there's gon na be a lot of air quotes at all in the five years. Just little trims here right there, my major cuts yeah, i just did myself never went to asylum to get anything professionally done, yeah. So that's what i did. Then i um blow dry for the first time in 2015.. So i was like wow wow. It'S long then i'd. Why am i saying 2015? 20. 20. yeah? Are you doing the right correct? I knew what you meant yeah blow dry yeah 2020, and then i did it again in 2021 and then in 2022. So it was not anything exactly. It was a yelling thing now son, i know like check a difference: yeah yeah, yeah, okay and then um. So i've done the blow dryer already for this year. Okay, here i am coming to experiment for the first time i'll get in the surprise. Don'T blame me. I'Ve already done my heat up reach my headquarters and your heat limit, but i know jennifer's hands are good. Okay, so i'm here i'm going to experiment. So are you worried about heat damage? I am worried, but i feel like i'm in good hands. Okay, i feel like my hair will reveal, but the worst that can happen is your curls will be a bit looser, that's the worst, but that's not going to happen because i know you're worried, so i'm not even going to put it on. I don't want myself to be loose. I like, like that it might not even be silky silky silky, because i know you're worried about here, yeah so i'll just do it so that you can literally see your hands straight yeah in the initial part of my um yeah, the initial stage yeah my hair Journey, i did listen to everything. They said. You know standards, but over the years of me experimenting and knowing my hair and understanding what my hair likes. Then i stay there to implement what i know works for me. That'S exactly that's so important, because i know people watch especially when you're just starting out and you don't know what to do, and you don't know where to start there's so many products. There'S it's easy to just be like oh youtube, natural hair and everything that comes up. You start doing exactly an example of that is like even like the rice. No it's this rice water. I never did that. I ate my food. I never put anything on my hair. I didn't understand that the only edible thing i've ever put in my hair is aloe vera juice, yeah, nothing else. Yeah yeah, i use aloe vera juice as a hydrator yeah as opposed to water. That'S really good yeah, really good. Yeah, you use it to hydrate your hair before you put your leave-in conditioner on every other moisturizing product yeah. So you just use this as a first person just in place of water yeah. You know what type of hair you have like the characteristics yeah and my hair is um in front. I would say my curl pattern is more um, four, a four b okay in front and then behind, though, and on the side, is four c: okay, yeah. Okay. So the front and a bit of the back are the loosest part. So that's in terms of the curl pattern, yeah and then for my porosity. I have very low porosity, hair, okay, yeah and then my um. You need heat for those yeah for the products of penetrating and then for the texture. I would say i have them fine, fine to medium texture. I don't have horse texture, oh yeah, fine, to me what about the amount, the the density and, i would say, medium density. Okay, wouldn't you say that yeah you can get it in the you might feel different yeah. It might be very low density when you're straight yeah when the water touches your head. That'S when i'll know. No, because i see people saying i'm like. Oh, it looks okay and then as soon as the war against you you're like oh no. This is a lot to have yeah, but i think mine is medium: dangerous, okay, okay, okay, my most unconcern is that after the integrity of the hair, yeah might be compromised. That'S what i feel yeah once i've put this in class and then from going forward from now. It starts to break faster than before my head normally breaks here and then little later, but i feel like it might now start to break even more than ever. That'S a valid concern, but just remember you're not having any chemicals. There'S no chemical! Your is literally a wash blow dryer and a style okay. So it's going to be fine, it's not like you're doing it every week or every month. You do need this one time. The next time you have your wash day protein treatment, then no protein for six months. You you'll be good, but we're using protein to the airway. When did you use protein in your hairline? The last time i washed, which was three months ago, i think you'll be fine for a protein okay. So you refine, but do it when you wash your hair next next? Okay! So if you would prefer to use a moisturizing color yeah, because i want your hair to feel soft, i want it to just go straight easily. I'M not gon na the favorite protein makes the hair feel really strong because you haven't done any dramatic heat recently. So you'll be fine not to use that okay, oh lord, it hasn't been washed. When was the wash day on um ouch. No, no! It'S because you just go a bit! Oh wow! That'S like almost three months! Yeah! That'S why i told you yeah! You did it's not even it doesn't smell like i wash the free muscles and the hair is breaking because it's so dry, oh, doesn't have anything anytime, i'm even putting it in ponytails. I see like bits of hair yeah the sink, and all that i'm like. Does your hair normally fall off like that, though, that easily? No? Because when i'm on my routine, when i'm being good, someone turned into my hair, i moisturized every week yeah, but i blew it out. You know i blew it out in april and i didn't want it to reverse, because i haven't done that yeah, so i didn't put any water in it. So, okay, it's been breaking off and since i knew i was coming here, i was like okay. Let me know from the show yeah it does um it's. It is drying the sides. Well, obviously, because of what you do so you, oh um, you so give them one month once you wash it yes, either you double synthetic quality will just come off. Actually, i still have them, but they are all shed now, the hair that i got you know over the years, they're shed so they're, not they're. Not they don't know how they're not following us anymore, yeah yeah yeah. So if it's not one head up here anymore, but you see them they're under the bed, i'll talk there when i bring it out that maybe i'm sweeping out about to look at his hair still retain the texture, real real brazilian hair there. And then, after that, i now stop and that my supplier, without telling like it, was becoming too expensive. So she couldn't. She us in here she's just lost her from the u.s the person that used to sell something one lady in nigeria and then, when i'll pull out angela one hand. She'Ll say i can't afford that hair anymore, because the nigerian money, but also the cost of hair, started going up as well the the pound no way she used to sell it. Then you know you said 150 in um, liver, no, no she's, 20 dollars. Okay, she should not choose a thousand five hundred a thousand this one in dollars. She used to sell her hair. She she didn't give you um price in nairo, because she said she's, cheating, herself, yeah, no she'll cheat herself, because she had to make sure she makes her money back yeah. So then she's buying dollars, so she has to make she sells in dollars. So she'll tell you her price is not like, so you can convert it to naira and bring that equivalent. Yeah me, i, like you, know them because i like wavy, hair yeah, i used to wear long hair thirty inches when you get injured really baby. That'S a lot those were they look tall anyway, so that's all normal yeah. So i didn't like to wear all of that and i still have those pictures. Don'T worry i'll show you one day i use the radio straps. That was me. I never. My hair was never out, i'm telling you. If i used to go to saturn on sundays. There was a sunday that i missed the silence i couldn't go because i don't remember, i think i was busy yeah. I think i got there that it was too late. We couldn't start the hair and they were saying that i had to come the next day. If you tell you see it looks like there was, i was. I was traumatized the whole night. How am i gon na go to work the next day with my hair, like this yeah yeah yeah? I remember what happened. They took out the tracks, so i had my natural hair out and we couldn't finish that day. Yesterday i had to come back. How am i going to go to work with my natural hair away abomination? Oh lord, i could not sleep since this night was. If you see i woke up early. The next day i sent my alarm very early before anybody came to work. I ran out, but it was too dark very dark. I drove to work quickly, signed a network and ran out of the office before anybody came to her and ran to the salon. You don't understand. I made sure i went to work to sign it. So you don't know how to sign in at, and i went to the side of the gun get my head on which side was it? It said what was possible now, but i remember my hairstylist's name was then it is okay, it was also done downstairs. It was like a duplex, it's called um. I cannot like an accident. My friend and i introduced the sun. I don't remember the name anymore, but my um hairstylist name. It was one guy i always used to use in the sun. You know everybody will have their own style, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah and what's his name, hey i've forgotten everybody's name. I can check on my phone anyway she's the one that always did my hair. Nobody else touched my hair. He did my hair if he was. I would probably come to the side i'll call him he'll tell me when to come and then i'll come down and stuff like that and then, when i come i'll tell you told me this time he would tell every customer to come while we waited for him. It was so annoying, so how is it going? Is it fully detangled? Now? Yes, it's happened, i'm doing your i'm doing a clarifying shampoo. Now, okay, yeah yeah! That'S exactly what i need. Do i put my hair up and down uh, make yourself comfortable, yeah yeah. So as long as it comes, but i might pull your head up and down as well, but try and be as comfortable as you can, because there's a portable sink, so it's not the most comfortable position. Let'S find out comfort, okay, my scalp is quite clean, like for for scalp that hasn't been washed in like three months. It'S very, very clean you just have products yeah build up, nothing else like nothing, no dandruff! It'S really good. You know, because i have not had to go in with products weekly like i would have done. If my hair wasn't blow dried yeah, i would have been moisturizing my glasses on that. I would have had it dirty stuff. Okay, yeah! Well, because i didn't put products in the only time i prepared, when i put the gel into the that's the thing. Sometimes the products make the scalp more dry mm-hmm, it's not tangy, but it's it's tiny as normal curly hair. Does that you know as soon as you put shampoo it's gon na, but as soon as i put the treatment on there, it will soften back up again. I just want to make sure the shampoo is everywhere. You see how tightly curved it is yeah, because i almost never use this. Only the curls are very very intact. Oh, but i did have my um ugly days with the twister. You know ugly days yeah, i will bring my hair and i always had to have twists on. I didn't want to do anything because i wanted to have access to my head to moisturize yeah weekly, so i didn't want to do any long-term style. I was very, very diligent about moisturizing them yeah. I was always moisturizing the early days, so mmm that feels good and you could follow sleep now, so so so so so so so so uh so uh feels good. It feels good yeah, very, very soft. First time i'm getting a professional my treatment for my hair, as in since i said, wearing my hair yeah, of course, okay good, i knew it so you see the treatment more like the deep conditioner, although you have to wash that treatment. Oh, so so so so hello, you, okay, i'm good! You know when you're, making your hair and then you're like especially braids, and then you keep on feeding to see how much left of it is. How much is this is that what's happening, yeah we haven't even started. Oh my god. Whenever you start it, you keep checking. I know just swatting your hand away, and then you check again to see how much your videos, i'm that great you wan na, come back tomorrow. No, i wan na do all of it, so this is um. So so so you, oh lord who's. Here, it's lovely! Let'S sit up straight: okay, no, oh um, so hmm um, um foreign, oh hello, from uh um! So oh do! Oh! Oh um! You
