My First Time Trying Tape Ins Extensions | Silk Press

Hey y'all, hey y'all, welcome back to my channel, so today's video, i'm bringing you guys something new. So, as you guys can tell by the title, we're gon na be trying some tape in extensions and all of the information will be listed down in my description box. So, first of all, y'all, let's get into tape in extensions, oh my gosh! First of all, i think this is my first time hearing about it. I know it's been out for a long long long time, but i'm just catching on to the wave and when i seen what it was, and i did my research i was like. Oh my gosh. I think i want to try this out because you know lately for a couple of months, i have not been wearing any frontals and i want to take a break from the frontal girl, like i want to give my hair some brush a brick of fresh air. You know, like i, never wear my hair out um. I told myself. I want to start back investing into my hair, which is going um, which is for me going to the hair, salons and professionally getting my hair back treated with love and care, but yeah anyway. So tape ins - this was for my 25th birthday. This was such a last-minute hairstyle. I promise y'all, like i thought, of this hairstyle, like five days before um my birthday trip, so i had to order some hair some cheap hair y'all from amazon. I did not have time to order quality hair because of d time, like it was literally five days before my trip, so i had to get something quick and since this was my first time trying tape ins, i wanted to um just give it a try and You know, since it was my first time i wasn't tripping about the price and the quality, because i only need it for that particular weekend. So, let's get into the amazon hair review real quick. So this is not a sponsored video y'all. I spent my money on this hair company at the last minute. I end up getting two packs, which came with 20 tape ins. I wish i would have gotten at least three packs uh next time. I know to get maybe four, but i mean the two packs honestly look very natural and at the end, at the end of the video you guys will pretty much see that i did end up cutting hair. But i explained that towards the end of the video, but this hair it was cheap. So you do get what you pay for um girl. We were scared that the hair was not going to curl, like it kind of felt half human half plastic, but i mean it was able to curl, but the hair did kind of feel like if you need the heat on it too long, the might melt. So this hair was very cheap, um it held up for the weekend. Of course, then, when i got back home from my trip, some of it, some of the taping started kind of slipping, and i ended up just kind of pulling them out. None of my hair came out by the way, but they end up slipping out so yeah. I had these tape in extensions in literally for maybe six days. I kid you not six days, probably not even six days, maybe five. Okay, five to six days, i've had these tape. Ins in my hair and yeah they've already been slipping out. So if i were you, if you are looking for a last minute hairstyle and you need something just real quick for a couple of days, then i recommend this hair. But if you're looking for something long term, you want quality hair, then definitely invest ahead of time and not at the last minute, so yeah so right here, she's putting in the tape ends they're very easy to apply um, as you guys can see by the like. The band part, if you guys, can tell it's clear - and i didn't like that, because you could kind of see through it um but, like i said these were some last minute: cheap, ass tape in so um. I do want to invest in quality ones. Just to see the difference because i have seen some people theirs was black and i've seen some people with some clear ones, but it did not did not look like the ones i had. So yes, mines were clear, didn't really like it, because in certain spots of my head you could really see through it. So it's whatever but um. As you can see, i went with two different colors. I tried to get a brown that was close to twice my hair color and then i wanted to try some highlights because i never done highlights before and i did not want to bleach my hair for this hairstyle. So i figured. Let me just get some fake ass, you know highlight pieces, that's not my hair and just let's just see how it looks and i absolutely love it again. Y'All will see the look come together at the end of the video trust, the process, but it definitely came together, really cute um and yeah. This was a really pretty color. I would definitely try this color again so yeah but, like i said these are super easy to apply um the company that i did shop with they did give me. It came with extra tapes, so this hair was reusable, but unfortunately i am not using this hair. I threw the hair in the trash, but, as you guys can see right here, like girl is blending, and i i even though i did not have enough packs of hair. I honestly feel like this was still enough to give it like a nice natural, blowout type of look because, as you guys can see towards the end of the video, the hair looks really super natural. Like it's, my it's all of my hair and a lot of people thought it was my hair and it wasn't, but a lot of people did think it was my hair because it looked super natural. It wasn't too like thick to where you could. Maybe guess if it's a sew-in, but it looked super natural like a natural blowout, she got some color done and whatever whatever so that's the vibe that it was giving me. So the two packs definitely came in handy for more of a natural look but, like i said my next um, i'm definitely going to try tapings again. So what would i recommend hell? Yes, i feel like it's easier quicker than a sew in, and i don't know like i just feel like. It just gives your natural blow out a little bit more spark, especially if you're somebody looking for thickness and just a little bit more length and i'm actually in the process of trying to grow my hair back out. So while i'm growing it out, i wanted to add a little bit more thickness to it and a little bit more length to my natural blowout, because it was just boring, and i also wanted to add color, which is why i got blonde and it definitely gave My blowout, a little razzle dazzle for show, definitely did because, yes, it was just looking boring at first so tapings. I highly recommend you guys, try it out for those reasons um and you know, if you're tired of frontals, i definitely feel like you should try tapians like if you're tired of frontals, but you are natural and you want to start wearing your hair out. But you want to find creative ways to wear your hair. Your hair out definitely try this, but i will recommend you getting your hair trained to be straightened out before trying this, because i will say that you know my hair doesn't get straightened out much. So i had to keep straightening my hair out, so it could, you know, match with the texture, but let's get into this ponytail like like. I said i love how natural this looks. So, yes, i highly recommend you guys. Trying tape is yes. If you are natural, you definitely can try this out. We can get away palm trees, sit right next to your. I want you, oh i just wanna, oh, is is, and this is pretty much the final look y'all. I absolutely love how this came out. Like i said, i do feel like the two packs did, give it more of a natural look um, as you guys can see at the end of the video you'll, see that i did end up cutting the hair only because the ends were bothering me because it Was super thin at the end and then super thick, where you can kind of? I guess know where my natural hair stops. So i did end up cutting the hair, but i absolutely love how it still came out after cutting it.
