I Tried Amazon Tape-In Extensions So You Dont Have To!! | Katy Lady

Okay, welcome back to my channel - oh my god, anyways. I have some quality content for y'all today yeehaw. This is my natural hair, very very short. Well I shouldn't say very short because I have had it shorter. I am trying to grow it out your girl's, trying to get long, luxurious, Rapunzel, hair. You know what I mean, but since I always kind of live with short hair, this is probably the longest it's been in a while. So in july, or august 2018. I could'nt above my shoulders just to get rid of all the dead ends and then from there I was like from here on out I'm just gon na. Let it be not diet and just like let it grow, and I haven't touched it and yeah. So this is where I'm at today, basically what this whole point and why you even clicked on this video is about tape and extensions, so I have always dabbled an extension. I'Ve had super thin extensions. I'Ve had short extensions to make my hair short, but still thick, like super super thick they're like Bellamy, 200 plus grams, and they were 22 inches. But I have been like a little shorter fun it with my hair better, but they are a very dark brown and my hair starting to get a little layer just for me just from life. I guess I also had like the ponytail just which actually turned out to be really ratchet. I thought it was from Bellamy. It was like five full set that makes tensions get a free point. I was like oh yeah, yeah and then internet to be like really cheap synthetic plasticky and it was really ratchet. So I have never tried taping extensions. So what I did I went on Amazon and I got some tape and extension. So I got 14-inch because I thought that kind of blend a little bit better. It goes about here and I wanted some blonde. I wanted some fun little blonde. I don't know how it's gon na look you're gon na see how it goes with me. Today. I'Ve been blonde about three times in my life. The first two times are pretty fun. The last time I did at the fourth time. I did it myself because I got so confident I was like girl, I'm a freakin DIY Queen. I got this. I'M gon na bleach my head at home, I did it and it literally was like bright orange and then my mom is like terrified and I had a gorgeous. My mom was so terrified because my head was bright orange and I had work on Monday and it was like a Friday. She was like. I am taking you to my hair salon and her hair salons great. I actually worked there like in their clothing department for a bit, but their hair salon. Her hair salon is so so high-end and the people who run the hair salon are very good at what they do and they're very high-end. So me walking in there. They were like literally traumatized like. Why would you do this? You look like a disaster, so I gave up and I was like just get rid of the orange puppy back to brown. I'M done with life, and so my blonde dreams died slowly since then, because it's been a few years since I don't want to ruin what I got going on and it'll, let my hair grow a couple more months. We'Re just gon na. Do some tape Minh, because tapes tape I can always peel off? I can always take it off gently. You know it's not too bad anyways and I buy fifty grams, which I bought. Three sets. There'S gon na be about 150 grams of hair in my head, which is not bad because I do have thin hair extensions. I'Ve had in the past like the cheap ones I've had like clipping and those were 120 grams, so these are hundred fifty. I do have confidence that the thickness won't be an issue and I am opening them up right now. So let me do like my first unboxing on this channel. So this is the box. Okay, it is from Easi youth easiest. It is from China, so I'm it does say, human hair guarantee so which is good. I don't want it like plastic in my hair um. I don't know. I don't trust. That is a hundred percent human hair, though okay, so these were $ 40 per 20 pieces and I got it two. Four six sixty pieces, sixty pieces. Okay, so do you do the math so in the books, to give you a little book which is cute like a little how-to, which I will not be rating, and these are the hair extensions? Okay. So again I did get three packs of these so see. I don't know how this is gon na turn out, because in the photo, oh, my see, that's a lot of blonde. You know what I mean. That'S that's a lot and we're gon na try to make this work. I hope this works. I really hope this works. I'M a little concerned about doing taping for the first time by myself, but you know what jenna Marbles did it me and her both some virgos? We got this if she can do it, I can do it. Okay, you know what this won't be that bad. So let me just test an example like color-match boys, okay, you know what at the bottom like color, wise, color, wise, it's not too bad. You know, like the tips, our little blonde, I think, will make this work and keep in mind. I'M gon na blend and cut at the end, so don't judge until you see the end result and then you can judge you have your freewill this piece and the girl I watched. I watched. I think I watched like not gon na lie to you. Watch you used her comb how'd. She do. Maybe I should go Bri watch she like taped, the bottom of the comb to the tape to like apply easier. Okay, okay, let's stand watch it. That'S the sandwich. Sure did I can't see the sandwich update time? Okay, so I ended up using two boxes. I still have a third box and I am going to use a couple more pieces from there like just to cover like little things like this. I'M also maybe like right here, oh right here, but I want to cut it a little bit because I can't get the full look with these like wild ends like stick now. So my hair is this long, which this is gon na be covered, but I kind of want to go like just a little bit longer than that. Like there that's a you know and if you're a hairdresser, I highly suggest you click off at now and don't judge you know or judge Freeh's owned. I am using kitchen scissors because that's my life, oh here for now q. Are you kidding me? I love that when I add a cup - oh that's cute, that's so cute! How are you um? No, I love that I'm obviously gon na touch it up a little bit more. If you want me to do your hair holla at me, girl cuz! This is fun. This is so cute and fun, just like a little pump pop a blonde okay um. This is what I ended up with and I think I'm gon na stop here, uh. So overall, final thoughts, I actually don't mind it. It'S gon na be fine like temporary. For a couple months, but long-term, no and here's why, first of all the cheapness, it doesn't feel a hundred percent real. It has a little bit of tone of fake to it, but it does feel soft because they do load it up with chemicals. I did not do too bad at the job so like when I run my hands down. It is flat. There is some spots where I wish. I would have done a little bit better, it's doable to do by yourself, but if you can't get somebody to help you, I would suggest that don't look cute when I curl it too. So yeah Oh see that's cute with the hood, because the hood kind of covers anything bad and it just shows like you know. I think it actually turned out pretty good. I'M really happy with it for a couple months. You know definitely not long term, though, but for a few months. This is fun for now.
