Affordable Amazon Hair Extensions & Why Im Taking A Break From Tape Ins..

In this video I talk about why Im taking a break from my tape in extensions and share my thoughts on trying out some affordable extensions I found on Amazon. Sidenote: these are human hair extensions, not synthetic :)

I go into detail as to why I need to take a break from my tape ins, and share my focus toward growing out my natural hair. A separate video will eventually be coming sharing what Im doing to grow my hair :)

I also share my thoughts on these extensions I've ordered and towards the end you'll see how they look clipped in to my hair. I will always love having long thick hair 24/7 but think taking a break from permanent extensions is healthy for hair growth. As always please leave any questions or comments below :)

Hi, what is up my name is destiny and welcome to this video welcome to my channel, i guess if you've never seen me before um. I have previous videos on installing tape in hair extensions yourself, so in this video i'm just going to be talking about, as you can tell by the title, taking out my tape and extensions, just taking a break for a little bit and then switching to clip and Extensions that i just ordered from amazon for a super cheap. So if you're interested in hearing me talk about why i'm taking my extensions out and my thoughts on the amazon extensions then keep watching also don't mind my setup, i'm just trying to get the last of the natural lighting before the sun sets at like 5 p.m. It'S currently snowing in canada right now and if i feel like i'm in a hurry, i'm just i have an appointment to actually put my winter tires on so yeah. This is gon na be a super, quick video, but here is my hair without any extensions. It'S like it's. Okay, it's grown, i feel like it has grown a bit um. My ends are super dead, though, like i have anxiety about cutting my hair, but i think just a little trim wouldn't hurt so to start off um i'll talk about me just taking a break from my taping extensions, so i took them out. I was just kind of getting over it. I found my hair was like growing a lot lately and i just felt like i was constantly um taking them out, putting them back in and if any of you have done that before it is a process - and i was just like kind of annoyed by it. Also, the feeling like, if you know you know but like the feeling of not having hair extensions in your head, 24 7, is just like unmatched. It is, i feel so free um, so that has been awesome also like washing. My hair feels like much less of a chore now um, i can wash it more often. I know you're not supposed to wash it often, but if my hair feels gross i'm not gon na like dread, washing it, you know like i'll. Just do it and it'll dry much quicker, so i'm loving that um also dyeing my hair touching up my roots. I can do that more often. I would try not to do it with tape-ins. In my hair i would only dye my hair um every like six-ish weeks, when i would take out my extensions. So that's been good um yeah. This is not to say, like i'm, not gon na ever put in my extensions again. I kept them like i'm. Definitely gon na use them again, because i do i love having long long hair all the time. It is also a lot easier to just like wake up brush your hair style it and then go rather than like styling it and then styling. Your extensions clipping. Your extensions into your hair or, however you do it it's just. You know there are certain perks and certain disadvantages, but overall, i think it's good to take a break. I'M mostly doing this because i really want to focus on getting my natural hair as like, healthy and long as possible, like the goal is to eventually not have to wear hair extensions anymore. I think that's what we all want so yeah um so with the clip-ins. These are the ones that i have from amazon. I ordered two separate sets of different kinds from different brands because they were so cheap, so these ones um were a hundred dollars. They'Re 24 inches. I believe um. It came with seven pieces, so um here i'll just show you individually, so it came with like two one pieces or two one clips. Two two clips two three clips: one four clip, so this is all of them together and i believe these were 120 grams and i paid 100 for these ones, and then i ordered these ones, and i think these are. These are 22 inches. This is the longest that this brand had and um. These are 70 grams, but it's the same deal like seven pieces with 70 grams, so they're a little thinner, this one's the four clip so they're a little thinner um. I just mostly bought these ones to kind of add dimension. Here'S the comparison, so these ones yeah they're a little thicker the ends. I find, though, when you go for like longer hair the longer the inches i find the ends just end up. Looking a little thinner. These aren't too bad, though, like i feel like when they're in my head, they aren't bad. I don't wear like i combine both of these sets because wearing one of them on my own won't be enough, so um yeah, so i combine them, but i don't wear all of them together, um, but overall i like them for now, like i think, 150 dollars, Because these ones were fifty dollars, i don't know if i said that, but these ones were fifty so yeah 150, all together, um. The thing is like i wasn't expecting like amazing quality, like i just kind of wanted something for now, just to see how i felt about wearing clippings again - and i don't i'm not crazy about these ones. These are the like. 24 inch, 120 gram ones. Just i hate - and i think i haven't ordered from bellamy recently, but when they first started, i tried them out and they had this lace, um banding or whatever i absolutely hate it. I think the clips just fall out so much easier. I think the lace also allows the hair to come out easier. I don't know, i think i just noticed more like shedding and the clips not being consistent when there's lace like banding or whatever you call it um i've actually had some clips come off. Not all the way but like where are they sorry, um yeah? Yes, yeah on these ones? Okay, so here one of the strings on this, like two piece like has already come off, so i hate that um. I also this one's like pretty much all the way off on these. So, like i hate that too um and like i'm, not a seamstress like i don't know how to sell it. I don't know if it's easy, maybe i'll like look it up actually, but it's just like annoying. So there's that, but once again they were super cheap and the hair itself does feel like good quality. I haven't had these long enough to give you like a full like in-depth review um, but the hair. Definitely it feels decent like it feels pretty good. So for what you get, i would recommend doing it, but maybe like avoid the lace, closure, lace, um band or whatever i don't even know what this is called and i've been wearing hair extensions for like 10 years. I should know this, but these ones. These are the thinner ones, the 70 grams um i mean for 50. Bucks like the hair, feels good and like yeah, they are thin, but i just kind of bought them to layer them on top. So this one's like a three piece. So when i put my extensions in i'll layer like this, the thin one right on top of the thicker one and then it just like - i don't know - i think it looks really good um doing that. Also, i think eventually, i'm gon na use these thinner ones. I'M gon na cut them and i'm gon na like add layered pieces to my hair, so um, i guess that's pretty much it like i. I didn't. I can't really call this a review because i'm i haven't had them long enough, but my initial thoughts. I suppose we'll call it that is, i think, they're good. I think, if you're thinking of making the transition like me to take your tapens out just to take a break, then like buying a cheap pair of extensions, just to see how you feel could be a good idea. I guess that's about it. I feel, like i've been talking a lot straight. I'M not much of a talker but like when it comes to hair. Just gets me going um, so yeah, i guess that's it um! I'M also gon na do a video talking about like hair growth, because that's my main focus is growing. My hair out just i just wanted to be as healthy as possible. Um i'll, like talk about supplements that i'm going to start taking and different treatment treatments, i'm going to be doing to it so yeah. I guess: if that interests you then you know, feel free to subscribe hi. So it's a couple weeks later and i'm going through the old footage trying to edit this video and i realized i'm terrible and i didn't even show you guys what the extensions look like in my head. So i feel like that's like the most important part. So here they are um. I guess i can kind of give you a review of them too, because i've been wearing them for um like almost two months now, so i think that's like decent um. Overall, i love them. I think for the price, like totally recommend, the only thing is like i did have the issue with the like clips, but i mean not the end of the world. I just need to figure out how to attach those, but i'm wearing about eighty percent of the extensions on my head right now. I feel like this is perfect. Um, the quality of the hair is awesome and yeah. That'S about all. I have to say um. Thank you for watching this video and i will link the extensions below totally like yeah totally recommend them. I think they're goodbye um. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. I friggin love, love, love, reading and responding to comments. It'S awesome. Thank you. So much to anybody who likes comments and subscribes you're amazing. You literally make my day and with all that being said, thank you so much and i will see you in the next one.

Melissa Freeman: You need to try FoxyLocks clip ins. They’re seamless & also the hair is better than Belami. I get my tape-ins from Sassina & they’re soooo afford & so good!!
