Hey guys, my name is Nicole and I am the owner of luscious Lynx hair extensions here in London Ontario. I also offer a mobile service from here to Toronto and surrounding area, which I know all of you really love, so basically a little bit about what I do. I install fusion hair extensions micro link, hair extensions as well as tape in hair extensions, which are my favorite, so with my my new youtube channel, I'm gon na be making videos explaining the difference between them all pros and cons of time. My personal experience with them. I will be doing tutorials how to install all of them, removes all of them and how to remove them from home and then later on, in this video, I'm actually gon na be showing you how to remove tape in hair extensions. That'S what I use and mine need to be moved up, as you can see, they're pretty gone out, see they're they're pretty grown out and they need to be moved back up. My hair is reusable, but I'm not gon na be putting them back in until tomorrow. After I get my hair done as you can see, it needs to be done so yeah keep watching, and I will show you how to remove tape in hair extensions, so to remove tape in hair extensions. I will first show you what you need to remove them and then I will show you how to actually remove them. So first, this is a loop brush. I give these to all my clients, the first time that they come in for their installation. So, if you've never seen these before sorry, I put my hairs in there. It'S gross that's what they look like, there's little individual loops, so basically they a little brush is a must-have for all methods of extensions. What it's designed to do is push down on the scalp without pulling on the actual extension, some brushes um you you'll use and it'll, just like pull like yank on your extension, which isn't good for your hair or the hair extension itself. Also they'll have these brushes? Will have no buildup of static electricity either which nobody wants and they're designed for all hair extension methods. You can buy these at Sally's and stuff. I think I'm actually not sure. Where else I don't know, I've never seen them at shopper's or anything like that. But I'm sure you could buy them at any beauty supply store. You can buy them from me or get one from me at your first appointment. So first, I'm just gon na brush out my hair, okay, so watch your hair brushed out. Okay, so other things that you need clips, we just use these. You can get them anywhere. I use these to hold up my hair. You can use anything and then this is extension release. That'S what it looks like there are other products out there that you can use to take out extensions. I'M sure there's a lot. This I get from my supplier and until we tape them, this is actually the tape a bit early. This is the tips that I use to creat a plan. They just come on individual sheets. If you can see that um, you might see some take that comes in a roll. You can use that too, but this is just my favorite. I find that the tape is a little bit stronger and it's more of the right size for the to fit on the tape in so you can buy this stuff at Sally's. I just I get everything from my supplier, okay, so now we will get into how to actually remove your tape in hair extensions. So I will show you usually. I would start by sectioning my hair with the bottom two pieces and go up, but I'm going to start at the sides today, just because it's gon na be a lot easier to explain it and to show you when I'm facing you and not the opposite way. So I'm going to find okay take my extension release, so the key is to pour the extension release on above the tape below the tape and on it you're just gon na rub it. Sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes before they get loose and that's fine and then eventually one of the sides should start to open up now. My end of the tape has finally opened, so you can just start pulling it apart if it stops pulling, don't force it because you don't want to pull your real hair and you just pull them apart and then just pull them up, and this is great, they Are curl two together, so I'm just gon na go ahead and take out okay, so I almost have them all out. I just have to so. Basically with the tapes I had mine in four I'm gon na say just over probably a month and a half. Now, everybody's different, everybody always asks me how long like? How long can you keep your tapes in before you move them up? I want to see everyone's different. Some people's hair grows at crazy, like crazy, crazy, fast other people's hair grows really really slow. So I mean y'all know when you need your tapes out. My real hair looks like I can't wait to get my roots done tomorrow, um by the way you can get your when you have tapes in you can dye your hair with them in. I always. I frequently do it just happens that at the same time that I need my tapes moved up, I need my roots done as well, so I usually just take them out before you can see what my real hair looks like um. So it looks like so what I'm going to do now is I'm gon na have a shower and wash my hair, I'm gon na put a hair mask on it. I use joey co k pack up in the gold, the gold bottle just so that cuz, you may notice in your hair that there's like like it's might be a little bit sticky in a couple places. I don't notice it in all the places that i had. Tapes, but just some of them, some of the teeth cuts, could stick in your hair a little bit. So i always shampoo my hair put a condition on it for a couple minutes and then I'll do like a hair mask or whatever, which is good for your hair anyways, my hair, okay. They are still sticky um. So what I'm gon na do with those is. I'M gon na do the same thing with my extension: I'm gon na do them in a conditioned room and then I'm gon na put a hair mask on them. If you don't have a hair mask, you can just use a conditioner so, like I said, I'm going to shampoo conditioner and decondition my own hair. Now, which is your choice and then I'm going. You do the same thing to my extensions before I put my new tapes on them, and so I will shampoo and condition these right now and I will come back and I will show you how to retake your hair extension. So I just washed and conditioned my extensions to get some of the glue or tape off of the extensions, so they're not as sticky, and you can even peel the excess tape off. If you want okay, so I always use my joy. Oh, I use joy coat. Everything my joy coat, detangler, it's just the leave-in to tangler for all hair types. I use it every day with my extensions and my real hair. Even if it's not tangle II, I do I'm gon na brush them one by one and then I am going to them a little bit just brush it you're just gon na peel these off, and this is basically a double sided. Tape meant for hair extensions. Okay, so obviously tape side down this is really sticky onto you can see what I'm doing here onto the tape part. Okay, just like that. Okay, and that there's a piece, it's clear, double-sided tape. It goes all the way across. So then, when I put these on, you just take off the blue piece, so I'll show you again so here's an extension. You should always brush okay, so you can still tell where the sticky, oh, like original sticky part, was then peel. A new set of teeth. Super sticky and then just line it up with extension, and if it's too big like this one see what hangs off there, you can just cut it afterwards. It'S not a big deal, so you're going to do that with all other extensions okay. So I have all of my tape on my hair extensions. Now they're still wet I'm going to I'm going to leave them out laying flat on a towel overnight just to air dry. I can just show you. This is what they look like when they're done. That'S what they look like when they're ready take. Your tape might be a different color. It might not be blue. I used white before this is just the color that I have right now, like I said when you peel off the back, it is a clear, double-sided tape. So tomorrow I have a friend that's putting in these extensions. For me, I used hot fusion in my hair for about five years and I used to be able to do it myself. Cuz psych fusions are strand by strand I'll go over in a different video, so it was easier for me, but tape. Pins are a little bit trickier to do on my own, especially in the back of my head. So I have a friend that is certified and it's able to put them in for me. It'S actually my hairdressers, though so yeah, but I will do a tutorial with me installing them on a client, probably within a week or so hey guys. So it's the next day, as you can see, I got my roots done. I basically just get them get my roots, bleached, sorry and and then I get them toned. And then I just got a little bit of a trim on my natural hair just to keep a healthy and let it grow, and all that, as you can see, I have my extensions back in there the same ones as you saw earlier in the video that I took out last night my 20 inch tapes number 613 on my color ring they're, just straight faint now, as you saw earlier in the video, my tapes were really grown out, um about an inch and a half or two. If you can see now, they are right back up to my scalp and they are ready just in for the next couple of months or so so it sucks that you guys didn't get to see the actual tutorial or the actual installation. Sorry, but I want to do it when I'm putting them in and, like I said earlier, it was my friend that put them in for me, who is my hairdresser so next week, when I have a friend come down, she's gon na get some tapes put in. So I'll make a tutorial then and post it and then hopefully I can do a fusion tutorial on a micro link tutorial and how to take those out and stuff like that. So let me know what you guys think and see you guys.
